Most recently, I did my Invisalign treatment at Liberty Dental, and I just gotta say that Dr. Guernsey is the real deal. She was super detail oriented throughout the entire process and made sure my teeth were on track to a better, more comfortable position! Highly recommend her and doing Invisalign at this location! Dr. Johnson has also been someone who's evaluated my teeth many times! She is also excellent! The dentists at Liberty Dental are top notch!

Experiencia negativa: The main Dentist, "doctor" when I was there in 2022, was/is a serious Jerk. I stopped going because of how they talk to the clients. Sucks too because I enjoyed seeing my tech. As she was good and careful. To bad she has to work for that guy.

Experiencia fantástica: I had my first appointment at Liberty Dental this afternoon, and it was a great experience. The environment is lovely, the technology is impressive, and everyone was so kind. Dr. Guernsey was very professional, caring, and sweet—she even gave me a Starbucks gift card for the wait. It’s clear they truly value their clients.

Experiencia negativa: I scheduled a regular cleaning and the hygienist cancelled due to an illness. Happens. They could only book me for an appointment 1.5 month later. Happens. They put me on their waitlist, then called me and asked to come the next day. I cancelled two work meetings and came. Arrived 12 mins late. Receptionist told me it was too late, because I was due for an x-ray. I said, so let's skip the x-ray and do the cleaning only. She said "no". I asked, why? She said, just no. I advise against getting dental care at a place where a receptionist makes the medical decisions.

Experiencia negativa: I'd give them 0 stars if I could. I knew we were in trouble when the office staff had to spell bitewing to the billing department! Apparently they hope if they ignore the paperwork long enough, the client will pay the bill!

Experiencia negativa: After a few years of silence, I feel comfortable to leave this review. My ex wife was a former patient of Dr. Stevenson's. She slipped down the basement stairs, and almost lost a front tooth. The doctor was happy to help her, but when I received treatment from him several times after that, I was disturbed by how he spoke about that experience. Dr. Stevenson brought up my wife's accident, and was mocking it, in order to make his young dental assistants giggle. As I was in the chair, I had no way to stand up for her dignity. I would also say he always made her (and other women there) very uncomfortable with his lecherous comments and behavior. I just thought this should be known, as my ex wife is now an addict, and I haven't seen her in years. I believe people who pose as heroes while degrading those they say they are helping is part of the problem in our society. P.S. He was also happy to mock me as I couldn't afford proper dental maintenance due to my wife's mental condition. I don't think he's a very nice person. Thanks. Brian Raus

His way of working through this complexity has been most impressive and I have very quickly learned that I am in great hands . His staff is great and super helpful and although it’s an hour or more drive for me it’s well worth it . I highly recommend him and it’s great to feel you are in good hands when it comes to your teeth .

I needed some immediate repair work and then some future maintenance to improve my gum health. The repair was easier than I had feared. Dr. reviewed my condition and planned out a long-term maintenance situation with me. So hopefully I'll be able to take better care of my teeth and health in the future.

Experiencia fantástica: I am a retired fellow living full time in a motorhome, and I spend my summers with my sister in Ann Arbor. Having left my dentist when I hit the road 3 years ago, I decided it was time to get back onto a program. Dr. Kristin became my go-to dental care person now that I am in her service area, and I immediately got comfortable with her. Full mouth x-rays and 3 fillings last time at reasonable prices with no issues since then. Not worth the trip from Florida for the 6 month checkup, so I'm on a yearly schedule. One thing I look for in a dentist since being introduced to it in Texas is the Cerac crown system. Very computer oriented, and the best part is that the measuring, prep and crown is done in office at the same appointment. It is the only way to go for me.

I originally found Dr. Stevenson's practice for a second opinion about a crown, and it has been seven years, and the tooth is still happily on the "watch and wait" list. When Dr. Stevenson left his homey office near downtown A2 to partner with additional colleagues, I was worried that the warmth and patience he cultivated at his solo practice would be lost. I am so grateful that Dr. Stevenson found brilliant and kind colleagues who shared the patient care philosophy he practiced at his solo practice. Just when I thought I couldn't love my dental practice even more, I noticed the "Inclusive" sign outside the lobby restroom during my last cleaning. Maybe it had always been there, but that day, it was the equivalent of a generous hug. That day, my head and heart hurt from the week's news cycle and my social media feeds. I've been carrying around so much fear, frustration, and sadness that so many people who I love dearly are terrified to use the bathroom in public spaces. They are hurt and exhausted by the intense mental math that jumps, bobs, and weaves through 100 factors and scenarios to enter a necessary space to wash their hands, check for spinach between their teeth, blow their nose, poop, or pee. I wanted you to know how thankful I am for your "Inclusive" restroom sign and how that one sign gives me and so many awesome people a moment of tranquility where they can think about the mundane, like bristle softness, and choosing between French Roast or Donut Shop Blend Kcups. Thank you for cultivating an inclusive space that allows me and the people who I love to use the restroom without fear of setting off dangerous interactions or consequences.

Experiencia negativa: Im not sure where to begin, I am new to Ann Arbor, I walk in looking to make an appointment for a cleaning as a new patient, the lady at the reception won’t look up insurance, can’t tell me what they can and cant cover unless it’s a delta policy, tells me a basic cleaning is $500 out of pocket to start. I also would need to call my insurance to see what they will pay and won’t pay and to schedule any of their services. She tells me it’s probably more than I can afford. I’m not sure I have ever felt more disrespected by a medical professional. Soonest opening should you decide you’d like to work with these people is in march of 2025. I called smiles across town and got an appointment made over the phone for this very same after noon. The receptionist at Smiles took my information over the phone and set everything up, I didn’t have to make a second phone call to figure the insurance out, it’s not going to cost me 500$ out of my pocket and did I mention the apointment is for the same day? At least we have the Liberty to choose our dental providers. I know Liberty Dental won’t be mine.

Dr. Stevenson and his team weren't judgmental in anyway and have me on the road to getting better. My 17 year old daughter never saw me with the tooth I was missing until Dr. Stevenson fixed it for me. The work they've done for me is truly life changing and I can't thank them enough. I just want let anyone know who is considering going here that you won't go wrong with making Liberty Dental your choice for dental care in the Ann Arbor area.

He is the only dentist that actually listened to my problem instead of insisting the X-rays look good. Went through 3 other dentists for a solution and Dr. Stevenson is the only one who figured it out. 10 out of 10! Only dentist I will ever recommend. He definitely pays attention to detail.

Experiencia positiva: Update: I was really disappointed in my pre-appointment experience on my last visit. I called as a courtesy to mention that there was unusual traffic and I may be a minute or two late. (I still ended up arriving two minutes prior to my appointment time luckily.) I was met with skepticism that I may only be two minutes late and was told I could reschedule. I did not want to reschedule and mentioned I would be there pay much on time and was calling as a courtesy (but I never get a courtesy call when they’re running behind and an never taken in right at my appointment time in any case). We went around like that a few times until I said, what is the cutoff of minutes I’m late that I will need to reschedule so I can know if I need to stop driving right now. I was put on hold as they didn’t know the answer. When they returned they said 10 minutes. I said great, thank you. Then I was told in a condescending tone to call if I was going to be later than 10 minutes. My appointment was good as always but I am really disappointed by that phone experience. I was very stressed already and had to arrange childcare which is challenging. I’ve never been late (and still wasn’t) and instead of helping me feel less stressed and just giving me the info right away for awareness (and maybe a good luck with traffic!), my stress increased. Original review: The new space at Liberty Dental is bright, welcoming and state-of-the-art. The location is convenient. And the staff are all top-notch! They have partnered with some specialists that have hours at select times at this location so you may not have to go somewhere else if you need additional care.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Johnson and her staff are Fantastic! Recently I had a tooth implant. It was treated like an accomplishment. Something to be celebrated. I have been a patient for over ten years and can't imagine going anywhere else.

Experiencia negativa: I went to this office for a couple of years, starting back before there were two dentists who owned it, and before they moved to Liberty. At first, it was good. They did the work that needed to be done, and didn't pressure me to get a bunch of work done. But then things changed. I had gone for over 20 years with only one cavity, and that one had special circumstances around it. And that was with no cleaning or dental visits for over ten of those years. I have good teeth I take care of. Suddenly, I was being told every time I went in for cleaning that I needed work done. It would have been fine if it was one tooth, and it was consistent. Instead, it was like they were picking teeth at random, and it was never the same tooth each time, and they never asked about the ones they're said were a problem. It was clear they were making it up to get me to pay more. I left. Be careful if you go there, ask questions, and don't rush into anything. They seem nice and they do good work, but do you really need the work they recommend? I sure didn't. Edit: in response to the reply: no thank you. You had multiple opportunities to demonstrate your honesty, while I was sitting in the chair. My health is too important to trust repeatedly to this kind of deception, I'm not a money tree for you to do unnecessary procedures. Best of luck.

Here are the words that describe my impressions: MODERN: Everything is new and up to date. All of the equipment is the latest technology - including the ability to make crowns on-site. No waiting two weeks and having to come for another appointment. PROFESSIONAL: From the front desk to the chair through checkout desk, everyone knew what they were doing and what they were doing was well-coordinated and generated confidence. CORDIAL: I don’t know how they do this - but everyone was friendly and made me feel welcome. CONVENIENT: The location, parking and everything about their building was “easy”. I raved about them so much, my wife is switching to Liberty for her dental care too. That’s saying something!

She has an excellent attitude, is incredibly talented in taking care of teeth and patients, and all of the staff are very warm and kind. I was very hesitant to go to a new dentist office but my fiance started going to Liberty Dental and loved it. My first visit was such a great experience. The office is really nice and spacious and always sparkling clean. The front desk staff are very nice and helpful. I absolutely love my hygienist, Holly. She is very thorough and very pleasant. The dentists are also really thorough and explain everything. I highly recommend this dentist office!
