Experiencia negativa: As someone new to Ann Arbor, I found this clinic rather inconsiderate. We needed surgery to remove a supernumerary tooth. The phone appointment process was problematic from the beginning. They also do not respond to appointment requests by email. At the beginning, I was told they could not find my insurance information, whereas I had not experienced similar issues at several other clinics. I explained that we were willing to pay in cash even without insurance, but I was still told that I could not make an appointment. Perhaps this reflects the American healthcare system — without confirmed insurance, you may not even be eligible for care. Fortunately, it is confirmed that I did have valid insurance. However, even after that, I was informed that the earliest available first appointment would be two months away. Due to the language barrier, I did not feel much warmth or kindness from the front desk staff. I feel sorry that I cannot speak English well. I sincerely hope the clinic treats patients who truly need help with genuine kindness and understanding.

Experiencia fantástica: Went in for a tooth extraction and bone grafting to prepare for an implant. This is my 4th extraction total but my first extraction at the Dexter site. Dr. Lopez and staff were wonderful. It was the best extraction out of all of them. So glad I decided to drive out to the Dexter site. Will be going back there for the implant and if I am in need of an oral surgeon again will definitely be back. It's only been 24 hours since the extraction and I have minimal pain unlike the other extractions I have had at other dentists. They are AWESOME!!!! THANK YOU!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Everything you want in an oral surgery team. You know how sometimes you go to a clinic and the provider (the surgeon, or the NP or the dentist etc) is perfect, but the staff makes it hard to want to come back? NOT HERE. Dr Fasi explains things well, is calm and collected and precise, makes sure you're comfy *and * that you feel safe because you are. You know he loves his job and cares about his patients. I have local anesthestic allergies, and there is only one local anesthetic I can have. Dr Fasi and his assistant know it can be scary for a person with allergies, and they verify the vials by reading the label aloud, and then show me the vial to verify, before I get the most perfect injections that I don't really feel even "the pinch". They give updates during the procedure so you know what to expect next, how long it will take, etc. But it's more than Dr Fasi: they've assembled a team of experts, from the front desk to the oral surgery assistants to the billers. They are friendly and professional, they know their job, and they can explain things. Great communicators: very important. And they care: they are all "on" the job, doing the best things to make sure everything goes well for each patient. Oral surgery isn't something people say, "gee, wish I could get that" (unless it's an implant, which I really really did want, and I got mine here) - but if I ever need oral surgery again, this is the only place I'll be calling. There are so many good things I could say about my experience, they are extremely kind, communicative and knowledgeable just to name a few. I have a complicated medical history overall which can be a bit anxiety inducing on its own, I felt as though he and his medical staff were understanding and attentive to this. I felt comfortable asking any questions I had in the appointment as well as calling back and speaking to the office staff that were also very kind and helpful. I had a clear understanding of what was going to happen and in what order before anything began. I had years of dental pain that was resolved thanks to Dr. Fasi!! I highly recommend Michigan Oral Surgeons and will be going back if I ever need to in the future.

Experiencia negativa: We had a relatively negative experience. Post surgery, I felt like the surgeon was treating my daughter as if she was exaggerating the effects of anesthesia; I felt like he was overly impatient with her. Post an already expensive surgery (nearly $1300 for four wisdom teeth), I got a bill for an additional $154. I thought this was for a post-op check up so I called and left a message to clarify only to never get a call back. Later, I was able to find out that the additional charge was for additional anesthesia that was needed (I am not sure why not be conservative in the first estimate rather than charging more later). I was then changed an additional $35 collection fees even after I paid the the fee. I feel like we were not treated very kindly or professionally at this location, and I would definitely seek services elsewhere in the future.

Dr. Lopez and the entire staff were fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calming and welcoming. The staff was incredibly patient and kind, explaining everything clearly to both me and my son. Dr. Lopez was especially wonderful. He put my son at ease with his friendly demeanor and explained the procedure in a way an 11-year-old could understand. The extraction itself went smoothly, and Dr. Lopez made sure my son was comfortable throughout the entire process. We received thorough aftercare instructions, and the follow-up call the next day to check on him was a nice touch. Overall, I can't recommend Michigan Oral Surgery highly enough.

Not only is Dr. Lopez one of the kindest human beings I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with, the entire office is the epitome of professionalism and exceptional bedside manner. I had my wisdom teeth extracted as well as two baby molars (it’s real empty in my mouth currently). It was also my first time every having surgery and being under anesthesia. So, because this is unfortunately who I am as a person, I read waaaaaay too much about the surgery and had lots of questions and worries. The entire thing went off without a hitch. I didn’t even have much pain afterwards to be honest. I got scared I had dry socket a few days after and I called them, they saw me basically within a day just to reassure me. Surprise: I was just fine, but they didn’t make me feel like I was a pain or overreacting. They literally said: “hey, this is what we’re here for” and encouraged me to contact them should I have anymore worries. I do not *want* to get more teeth taken out but should I absolutely have to, I would, without a doubt come back right here + I’ve been recommending them to everyone. Y’all are amazing! ✨✨✨

I had my consultation with Dr.Lopez and my surgery with Dr.Fasi. Both doctors are amazing! The surgery happened so quickly, I did anesthesia and I was out instantly. Post surgery, I healed very quickly and had no issues. I would definitely recommend them to a friend/family! The staff is super sweet and kind as well!

He was friendly, funny, and cool. On our day of operation our appointment was on time. He explained what would happen. He made my son feel confident and comfortable. Everything turned out well. The assistant made sure he was well enough to walk to the car and assisted him. We were done and out of the building in less than 3 hours. Prescriptions for Motrin, antibiotic and nausea med for as needed were called in for us. We bought OTC Tylenol. Recovery went faster than the full recovery estimation. They called us to check in with us and we were doing well.

Experiencia fantástica: My family dentist referred me to Michigan Oral Surgeons for a molar extraction. Not a fun procedure, but I can't imagine it going any smoother than it went. From the beginning, the entire group -- from the people answering the phone and making the appointment confirmation, to the surgical assistant and then to the surgeon -- communicated clearly what I should expect to happen. And then things pretty much happened as they said. And they predicted my questions and concerns and answered all of them such that I knew what to expect and what to do before, during, and after the extraction. Also, I don't know if my experience was common, but I had almost no post-surgery pain. They gave me a prescription for pain meds, but I took only one of the pills. I simply didn't need them after the day of surgery. It has now been Three weeks since my extraction and I've had zero complications and two pleasant follow-up calls from the office, making sure I had all the support I needed from them. Highly recommended.

From start to finish the extraction took all of 30 mins .. my son had very little pain following the procedure. They made him feel relaxed and comforted throughout the entire process. Experiencia fantástica: I had to get my wisdom teeth removed (like most people). For both the extraction and the premeeting to make sure I needed the surgery everyone was nice. When I came in for the surgery the doctor remembered me from our earlier meeting. I don't really remember what happened afterwards because I was pretty out of it, but they talked to my dad and gave us written instructions about what to do. About a week later they called to see how I was doing, and if I had any questions. All in all, it went pretty smoothly.

She was extremely nervous and they made her feel so comfortable. I'm very grateful this was a positive experience for her as she has autistic siblings who are also in need of oral surgery in the near future. Sharing her positive experience with them has already helped to ease their anxieties as well. We highly recommend this practice.

I was well informed about my procedure before , during and after. I went ahead and did local anesthesia and didn’t feel much and what to expect was explained to me in detail.
