Experiencia fantástica: I have been seeing Dr Camenzulli regularly since he moved to Prytania St in New Orleans in 2012. I had a visit with him yesterday. My gums, teeth, and smile have vastly improved since we met. He started there at about the same time I moved to the North Shore. It is so well worth the ride. Dr Camenzulli is an awesome person as well as a dentist. Yesterday I also saw Mai, Danielle, and Carey as well. The whole staff is awesome, and friendly. I am so happy with no worries about my dental health. I recommend Camenzulli Excellence to everyone.

I haven’t been to the dentist in a long time and was apprehensive at first but the whole staff quickly helped the nerves go away. Well yes in 2025 I found Dr Camenzuli‍⚕️and let me be clear I had a tooth extracted and deep tissue cleaning and listen to me I walked out of there with the BIGGEST smile ever. Listen if you’re scared of the dentist PLEASE give Dr Camenzuli office a try and the STAFF IS THE BEST STAFF a Dr office could have. I’m happy I’ve found someone that care about my teeth and not just making sure I paid my money.

Experiencia fantástica: I am an out-of-tower, but had a sore on my gum. He lanced it and drained it and prescribed antibiotics. The dental hygienist massaged my jaw during the procedure. Which was great! When my suitcase was lost right after this, he called in two more pills for me, so the course of antibiotics would not be interrupted. So, yes, I really think they are achieving “dental excellence”! Also, a big hug to Vy who held my hand during my procedure. Is she an angel sent from heaven? It is very comforting to have an angel standing next to you during dental procedures…

Experiencia negativa: I left this office feeling disgusted, disrespected, and still in pain. Scheduling the appointment was easy. I arrived on time, checked in, completed all of the paperwork, and explained in detail why I was there and where I was feeling pain. The assistant reviewed my file, asked questions, and set me up so the doctor could locate the source of my pain. Up to that point, no issues. The problem started the moment the “money lady” walked in. After I rinsed with mouthwash and was told the doctor would be in shortly, she suddenly came in and said: “We cannot help you or find out why you’re in pain until you pay the $120 remaining balance.” By this time, I had already been in the office for about 30 minutes. This could have — and should have — been mentioned at check-in or before I was taken to the back and asked a series of medical questions. Instead, she chose to stop the process at the most vulnerable moment, when I was already in the chair, in pain, and expecting care As a Black woman, I know when I am being treated differently. It’s not just what she said, it was how she said it — her tone, her attitude, and the lack of basic respect. I left that interaction feeling racially profiled and financially bullied. Once I paid, everyone suddenly came back into the room and began working on my mouth to find the issue. To be clear: • The clinical staff were excellent. • The doctor was thorough, kind, and explained everything clearly. They located the problem and were ready to start treatment. I used the numbing rinse and waited for them to return. Instead, the same money lady came back and said: “The doctor has found the problem. It will be $1,574 for him to fix it.” I explained plainly that I do not have $1,574 to spend on a deep cleaning right now. I was then told my only options were to pay in full or apply for a credit card with them. There was no flexibility, no sensitivity, and no acknowledgment of the emotional or physical distress I was already in. It felt less like healthcare and more like pressure sales. I was so upset I went to the restroom to cry rather than risk saying something out of anger. When I came back to gather my things, the SAME LADY repeatedly asked (about six times), “Do you want me to walk you to the front?” At that point, it did not feel supportive — it felt performative and patronizing. I will not be returning to this office. It is extremely disappointing, because the doctor and clinical team clearly have skill and good chairside manner. However, the behavior of the financial staff — particularly toward me as a Black woman in pain — was unprofessional, insensitive, and made me feel racially profiled and financially bullied. I will be sharing this experience with my coworkers and community so others can make an informed decision before choosing this practice.

My hygienist and the dentist took their time to make sure I was comfortable and that I knew what was going on with my teeth. These people and the service that they provide are top tier.

The clinic moved to the current location this summer so to accommodate more patients. It’s bright and clean and the equipments look very up to date. A colleague recommended this clinic to me. I just recommended it to three other colleagues! (It was very easy to make an appointment online; even though I was visiting for the first time, the front desk lady helped me check in smoothly!)

They saw me almost immediately for a consult to have a wisdom tooth removed and we were able to schedule within a week of the consult to have it removed. I have a fear of the dentist and this krewe made me feel comfortable and safe. The tooth removal itself was quick. Laurie was wonderful. My blood pressure was super high but Laurie helped to keep me calm. Not that I want to have another tooth removed but if I do need it I know where I will be going. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Robert, Laurie, Mai, Michelle, … all the staff members were INCREDIBLE!! I am always so frightened about visiting the dentist, but they dispelled ALL my fears! Not only did Dr Robert manage to save a tooth I was told needed to be pulled, but they took me in immediately, resolved my pain, saved me a lot of money, and created a schedule for additional work that need be completed. They were done with my root canal therapy and a temporary crown before I knew it, encouraging and praising me along the way. Everyone really did their best to make me feel comfortable, they were amazing. I saw them again a few days later for some extensive cleaning and I’ll go back for my permanent crown and additional work in a couple of weeks. They also offer their own dental plan! I HIGHLY recommend their services, so thankful to have found them!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Camenzuli! He saved my life (figuratively) in an emergency root canal! It was done on the same day that I walked in (which is amazing) because I was in so much pain. He and his team followed up with phone calls to check on me and make sure I was doing well. I just went back again yesterday for hopefully my last visit for a while, for new fillings yesterday (he recommended replacing my old ones, to prevent future root canals)! His staff is courteous, thorough, and kind. He does an excellent job and I would recommend him to anyone. The office was beautiful, the staff were wonderful, Dr Camenzuli made me feel very comfortable and understood everything that we spoke about. Vee was amazing as well, gentle and listened as well. Experiencia fantástica: Visits to the dentist have long been uncomfortable and painful - and therefore traumatic - experiences for me; it’s been blamed on my “small mouth with large tori,” leading me to believe that the pain and discomfort is just something I have to deal with. Dr. Camenzuli and his staff taught me otherwise. I realized by the end of my visit how poorly I’ve apparently been treated at other dentists, even before my teeth were a mess. Vy, the dental assistant who did everything but the actual surgery (and assisted with that), communicated clearly with me everything she was doing, and took great care to make sure I was comfortable mentally and physically. She’s also just a great human all around, as was everyone who works there - and I do believe I met at least 90% of the staff, from the lab techs who call out hellos and introductions from the lab as you walk by to your room, to Mai, the assistant who has been there longest and mentors the others. Everyone was genuinely happy, friendly, and caring; it’s clear Dr. Camenzuli fosters a supportive work environment in which his employees know they are appreciated, valued, and encouraged to grow. For anyone reading this who is in a similar situation as I am - with a mouth full of messed up and/or missing teeth and who is reluctant to see a dentist out of embarrassment as much as fear of pain - I encountered neither at Doctor C’s. Not a shred of judgement from anyone, just open minds that took the time to listen. And the doc had two out of the three teeth I had removed out while I thought they were still prepping me (I did choose conscious sedation and highly recommend), and the one time I felt a tweak of pain, Doc C was quick to pick up on it and take care of it. So don’t be embarrassed or afraid, just go and get things taken care of! Last, but not least, prices are very reasonable, and they have many ways of working with you if you don’t have insurance or your insurance isn’t great, especially their own yearly plan that’s a great deal. I realize my review may come off as over the top, but I assure you I mean every word of it - I am just that impressed and a very satisfied customer, and I believe it’s as important we let others know when something or someone excels as it is when we are let down.

Experiencia fantástica: As for the dental appointment, it was a root canal that was needed to get me back to action... it was a 10/10 experience, pain level was the 1/10 and he only had to shoot me.. maybe two times and I was numb... it's jus beginning to wear off (5hrs later) That was way better than I anticipated and far better than the last experience I had with a different dentistry for the same procedure. This took about 2 hours. I'd DEFINITELY recommend & go back to get more work done. Dude is definitely a master wizard in his profession! -- He's like Doctor Strange.. gifted hands, with (seemingly) all the fundamental & advanced knowledge. Although this page is for the westbank I know how many people suffer with anxiety when going to the dentist and how rude a lot of dental practices can be. I have to give a huge shout out and thank you to Dr. Camenzuli at Camenzuli Dental Excellence uptown. My partner was suffering with a toothache so excruciating I had to rush him to the ER for pain. While in the waiting room I googled emergency dentists and Dr.Camenzuli was the first to pop up and his practice had a 4.9 rating. I read the reviews and almost every review was a 5 star. I called and asked how soon they could take him. They said they open at 8 and would take him immediately. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the entire staff saying good morning. They were cheerful and very friendly. They could see we hadn’t slept and said “please relax we’re going to help you feel better and get some rest.” Every dental assistant and the dentist came past the room to say good morning and told us we were in good hands and they were happy to have us. As soon as my boyfriend sat in the chair the assistant said “ let’s get you numb and comfortable and then we’ll start.” They got him numb and feeling better within 5 minutes of walking through the door. Immediately the color in his face came back. They took x rays and walked us through every step of what was going on with his teeth in detail then gave us several options on how to fix it. He had a broken tooth with a cavity that had become infected. The gave us the option to do a root canal or extraction. They didn’t make him feel pressured to take the most expensive route and they didn’t try to add on procedures or do more than what was necessary in that moment. They gave us time to talk about the route he wanted to take and offered 4 finance options. After he decided on the root canal and crown they immediately started working on him without having to reschedule. He was done within a few hours and felt so much better. The first thing he said when he got in the car was “wow that’s how you run a business, that is the best dentist I’ve ever met” Truly the bedside manner was a 10/10. I’ve never been to a better dentist office. Every person that worked there genuinely seemed to love working there and put us both at ease. My partner even made a plan to go back and have the rest of the issues they saw concern with taken care of in a few weeks. We never felt pressured to spend or stay with them. We could have left after the x ray and exam with no problem. They were fair and honest about every step. They were also the cheapest I’ve seen for x rays and exam. It was only $49 for both and after the exam they laid out what was wrong and asked how he wanted to move forward. Dental work is expensive so I won’t say it’s the cheapest work you’ll find but you do get what you pay for and they did and excellent job. they offered the most financing options I’ve seen. We were in, out and back home within 4 hours. If you have dental anxiety or are in need of a kind dental practice I can’t sing their praises enough. — at Camenzuli Dental Excellence.

Don't go to this office unless you want slimey used car salesman tactics. I got scammed into paying for unnecessary treatments that I probably didn't need. Very expensive lesson, but don't pay for anything without doing your research and get a second opinion if they want to do anything major. I feel like they took advantage of my ignorance.

This was the other day when it was pouring rain and when I walked in they had a towel and a blanket waiting for me! Little did they know - I am normally pretty anxious at the dentist. Always have been. This experience was different for me. Dr. Camenzulis assistants were some of the best I’ve ever come into contact with! Dr. Camenzuli took his time explaining the root canal process to me and made sure I was comfortable pain wise even during the middle of the procedure. He is a very knowledgeable dentist and all of his staff was friendly and professional! They offered me headphones to make it a more comfortable experience as well.
