It is nice to have the same hygienist time and time again, in addition to the receptionist and the dentist as well. I had a traumatic experience as a child with a dentist and did everything to avoid going, until one day I had an abscess and had to trust someone. Dr Ronald is absolutely incredible, and now his son , daughter and grandson are following in his footsteps and although huge shoes to fill, they are knocking it out the park ! I moved to Mississippi and still drive Uptown to see Dr Mike - and the staff is amazing !!!! Leggio Dental is the best there is, hands down

Experiencia fantástica: I recommend this place to anyone looking for a new dentist. It was fast, easy, and they took my insurance. Everyone from the receptionist, dental hygienist, and dentist were extremely kind. They didn’t try to push any expensive treatments onto me, but they gave me some treatment options of what might benefit me in the future. I boosted about them to my friend, and they made an appointment with them as well.

Experiencia negativa: They are super nice, but I lost trust in them and have left for another, more professional dentist. They never took measurements of my gum pockets, which worsened substantially over time while they did nothing to alert me. When I asked them about it, they said they would get me the records they kept of those measurements, but they just stalled. I persisted and eventually they admitted it is not something they do as a matter of general practice. They sent me to a local periodontist who was going to remove and replace one of my teeth (and then three more over time $$$$). I had to travel to Jackson Mississippi to find another periodontist in my insurance plan for a second opinion, which I did, back and forth to Jackson for six months... She found some popcorn in the one gum (which I had told my dentist and the first periodontist about, but they told me that was not the problem), removed it, treated my gums (deep cleaning), and now nearly three years later I've got all my teeth, a new dentist, and relatively healthy gums. (I still have one 5 pocket, but now I can work on getting rid of it).

Experiencia negativa: HORRIBLE. Absolutely horrible. Left with my gums bleeding and blood pooling in my mouth. Although I only floss once a week, I received a strongly worded lecture about how all of my teeth are going to fall out. So unprofessional. Extremely understaffed. They should be shut down and probably will be within the next couple years. I would post pictures of my teeth on this review but it probably would be taken down through Google for being too showy because of how MESSED UP my gums are.

Experiencia fantástica: This dental group is absolutely wonderful, especially in an emergency. They provide wonderful care and go out of their way to guarantee your comfort and health. Aren't enough adjectives to describe how great they are.

Experiencia negativa: The bridge work I had performed was not successful; I now have an infection in my upper jawbone with bone deterioration and need an extraction, bone graft and implant. I did not need this in my life right now; it's adding extra stress also because I have an artificial hip implant and the infection could travel to the implant, so I MUST have this procedure done ASAP. It's going to cost almost $4k. I have to get a medical loan in order to afford it. I'm feeling powerless right now and am so angry. Not a good time to ask for my feedback.

I questioned my hygiene habits, my teeth, my diet, my enamel! Then in 2007, after Hurricane Katrina, I started visiting Dr. Leggio and what a difference! In almost a decade, not a single cavity or problem in my mouth! What change? I changed dentists and I happened to find the most ethical and honest dentist in the 54 years of my life! Dr. Leggio is the best and I highly recommend him!!

Experiencia positiva: I've been going here for about 2 years, I think. Staff is nice, dentist is a sweetheart. My issue is that in these 2 years they've not worked on my insurance approval. I've been waiting and they never follow up with the insurance company on a crown I need replaced. It's a shame. But I guess if you pay out of pocket they are devine.
