Experiencia fantástica: First off, let me say I’m one of those who has that inherent fear of dentists and is always hesitant about seeing one. While at the airport waiting to fly out to visit family for Christmas I broke a molar while eating breakfast. Needless to say, it wasn’t the most pleasant Christmas I had and trying to find a dentist I could visit once I returned home was daunting because of the holidays but thankfully I managed to finally get an appointment with Sunset Dental. I was seen by Dr. Redlinger and was greatly taken care of by him and his staff. They worked with me to take care of my broken tooth and while root canals are no one’s definition of fun, they made sure that I was comfortable and to let them know if I was feeling any pain or needed a break. Overall I am happy to find this office and look forward to going to Dr. Redlinger and have him and his staff take care of my dental needs.

Experiencia fantástica: Today I have my routine dental cleaning at Sunset Dental & Orthodontics, 12/16/2025- would like to recognize the hygienist (forgot her name) they always have gentle but this the best experience ever, she’s so calm and comfortable technique, with her meticulously cleaning process i don’t feel any discomfort at all, she genuinely cares about my oral health. Highly recommended her.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in for an emergency pain treatment, and was very pleased. I sheepishly explained that I hadn't been in for an appointment in several years, but there was no judgement. The dentist recommended I take anti-biotics for an infection rather than just ripping into the tooth first. I obviously have some work to be done with cleanings and gum treatments due to my long period between appointments, but there was never any pressure or ominous warnings that I had to do it now "or else."

Experiencia fantástica: It was a routine cleaning appointment, but I had an anxiety attack that threw off the appointment. However everyone was very understanding, and after regrouping, I was able to finish the appointment. Thanks to the staff, especially my hygienist.

Experiencia negativa: They charged me a fee to use my HSA card which they are not suppose to. The HSA is pre taxed funds that are used to pay for health related services. It is the same as a debit card. No fees should be added to use a debit card or a HSA card in the state of Nevada. They just started to charge this fee about 4 weeks ago. I cancelled the rest of my appointments and will look for a new dentist. I've been going here for the last 7 years. Also this fee will not show up on your account ledger. It's as if they charge you the fee and just pocket that money with no paper trail or trace.

Experiencia fantástica: I visited Sunset Dental today for a cleaning and had an exceptional experience. The hygienist who worked on my teeth was truly amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable and did an outstanding job. My teeth feel cleaner than they have in a long time and I could instantly feel the difference. Beyond the quality of her work, she had such a positive, warm spirit. We had great conversation throughout the appointment and she was well informed on so many different topics. As an African-American woman, it meant a lot to be cared for by someone who looked like me and carried herself with such professionalism, kindness, and confidence. Her energy was welcoming, her attitude was uplifting, and she made the entire experience comfortable from start to finish. I genuinely hope she is still there when I return for my next cleaning in six months. If I could give her 100 stars, I absolutely would. Sunset Dental is lucky to have her.

Experiencia negativa: Made an appointment to have my tooth repaired when I arrived and when I arrived I found out the manager had lied. They stated that they had no idea when they could do the repair. She also stated she could use another office X-ray but that turned out to also be a lie. Do not put your trust in this Dental office as they will send you away in pain with no plan to help. Please protect yourself and your family from this unfair and unfriendly business.

Experiencia fantástica: As an epileptic, I need some serious work done. Between seizures and the meds that I used to take that ruined my gums, my teeth are not something I'm proud of. Dr. Rana and her staff did everything to make me as comfortable as I could be, even providing me with a neck pillow, as my neck was unbelievably stiff due to how I'd slept, the night before. Twenty-two hours later, and I don't feel a thing! And now I can eat on both side of mouth again! Thanks!

Experiencia fantástica: I came in for my Yearly check up and teeth cleaning. Ashlee was the best! She took my x-rays and I have a little mouth so she was really gentle and did a great job. Super friendly, Very knowledgeable, and she gave me some tips about some toothbrushes that would be really good for me. She was so easy to talk to, and I can tell that she was really interested in my well-being. Doc gave me a clean bill of health, which was definitely a plus.

Experiencia fantástica: Well after repeated requests I am ready to give a review now that I have a completed process ( crown replacement). I was impressed with the thoroughness of everything including the work by Dr Redlinger and his dental assistants. The crown fits very comfortably. The entire staff at Sunset Dental seems competent, efficient and friendly. Wait times are very short. Since this is a complete review of the practice I’ll add the aspects I’m less happy with. The excessive legal documentation you have to sign off on and being requested to pay before work is done. But all in all I would recommend Sunset Dental

Experiencia fantástica: I received excellent service from the receptionist, the dental hygienist, and the Dentist. I still left the office feeling a little disappointed .This was my second cleaning within in a year and each time I ask for a toothbrush and some dental floss at the end of my visit they never have these practical items. I think they are too comfortable with not providing something that 99 percent of dental offices gladly provide.

They even took digital photos for structural analysis, even though I’m not an orthodontics patient, older adults being subject to structural compromises, as well. I’ve never had a more thorough baseline consultation and evaluation, and I’m really appreciative of the weight it holds in determining treatments. I also FULLY appreciate the upfront handling of monetary obligations, no surprises, as well as the structured way my account will be handled to ease monetary obligations as my treatment commences and progresses. Of course, dental work is NOT fun, it’s a necessary component to keeping my health intact, but it’s really nice to receive treatment from a dentist who gets it, an office personnel who gets it, offering a really pleasant experience in a not-so-pleasant, but imperative, service they provide. Experiencia fantástica: After calling around for an emergency appointment, Sunset Dental was the only place that was able to accomodate my husband on such short notice during a holiday weekend. They were very professional and upfront with the costs of his future treatments. Overall, very satisfied with their services.

Experiencia fantástica: I needed an emergency root canal and temporary crown installed after my AlignerCo retainers caused the nerve in my front tooth to die. Sunset Dental was able to get me in the next day after my exam to complete the surgery and install the temporary crown. I was worried the temp crown wouldn’t look the same as my original tooth but it looks pretty great. The permanent crown will look even better. Now I’m just waiting for the permanent crown to be ready for install later this month. I honestly couldn’t be happier with how this unexpected experience has been handled so far! The cost for everything after insurance was pretty reasonable as well.

Experiencia positiva: My first appointment with Dr. Redlinger--I changed from another practice after consistent overcharging (and getting refunds months later), rude staff, etc. I appreciated his discussion of why and what needs to happen. Dentistry is a necessary evil in my book, but I was comfortable with him and the staff. Clearly explained costs moving forward. I gave 4 stars for 2 reasons--as a Lean professional, a great deal of waiting and I almost left. The other is calls that ask for me to call and confirm. I will never do that as I made the appointment and will only call to cancel or reschedule. Text confirmations I will do.

I might be the odd one out but I appreciate the consistent reminders of upcoming appointments. I think its helpful and you can of course opt out of receiving text messages if it bothers you!

Experiencia fantástica: I came in for an exam, X-ray, and cleaning. It was my first time going to this dentist. I expressed concern about one of my teeth being really sensitive and painful. I was told I needed treatment for a root canal. They were able to get me in the very next day for the root canal and the cleaning. The cleaning was great. The root canal went very smooth and both the doctor and the hygienist were extremely nice. During the treatment the doctor and hygienist made sure consistently that I was not in pain and that it was going good. Highly recommend, I feel so much better already.

Experiencia negativa: Waited and waited to get lower dentures. I found out was approved when I called this dentist. They said yes you are approved for lowers and your insurance will pay just that amount. I said good. Get me in for the lowers. Nope can't do that because we want to do several things to your upper teeth first and you have to wait till next year if we do that for the lowers. I've ran into this before. It's always the same. Never fix the teeth but you sure want that insurance money. PS: YOUR FIRED

Experiencia negativa: Overall, a good dentist. However, I won't return after being a patient for a few years. They send consistent texts and emails to confirm appointments & a $75 fee for no show. I don't object to being reminded of my appointment, or being charged for a no show. My issue is that they arbitrarily cancel your appointment if you don't respond. It's a shame and a ridiculous policy, especially for established patients with no history of no shows or lateness.

The hygienist that cleaned my teeth yesterday was very thorough and gave me a few pointers I didn’t know about. I’ve had extensive work done in this office and I’ve seen all the doctors. They are a great team and I will continue to come back because of them!
