Experiencia negativa: I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Hampton Family Dentistry. I scheduled my appointment 20 days in advance, only to receive a call one day before my appointment stating that they do not accept my insurance. Insurance verification should be handled at the time of booking not the day before a scheduled visit. Waiting until the last minute shows poor administrative organization and complete disregard for a patient’s time. Many of us arrange work schedules, childcare, and personal commitments around medical and dental appointments. Canceling the day before creates unnecessary inconvenience and stress. If your office does not accept certain insurance plans, that information should be verified and clearly communicated well in advance and not 24 hours before the appointment. Unfortunately, this experience reflects a lack of professionalism and proper front-desk management. I hope the office improves its verification process so future patients do not experience the same issue.

Dr Zack and the entire staff are welcoming, professional, happy and very very good at their craft which speaks volumes for what seems like an incredible work environment.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been at this office for quite some time. This is the second dentist I've had in Virginia, and by far the best! The previous place I went to missed a lot. Although my teeth are fairly healthy, they are very good at informing you of what you need and when you need it. They try hard to make sure it doesn't become an "emergency." I highly recommend this office to everyone, of all dentists I have visited across the E Coast this one is my fav by far.

I went in today feeling extremely anxious and nervous about having a cavity filled (including replacing an old metal filling), and I truly dreaded the appointment. From the moment I walked in, the entire team treated me with such kindness and understanding. Both the dentist and the dental hygienist were incredibly compassionate, professional, and patient. They took the time to explain everything, checked on me throughout the procedure, and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. They never rushed me or made me feel silly for being nervous. Instead, they handled my anxiety with genuine care and reassurance. It makes such a difference when a dental office treats you like a person and not just a patient. Today could have been a very stressful experience, but thanks to their calm and gentle approach, it turned out to be so much better than I expected. I’m truly grateful for the way they handled my visit and highly recommend Hampton Family Dentistry to anyone who feels anxious about dental work. You will be in kind, capable hands.

The lady who took my X-rays was very nice and understood that I required additional assistance because those bite things always hurt due to shape of my mouth and gums. The lady who cleaned my teeth I could tell she enjoyed what she does. The doctor also was great. He Listened then gave recommendations. Great experience!!

Dr Hutchings takes the time to listen to me. I'm not just a set of teeth to impersonally work on; I'm treated respectfully in a friendly atmosphere. The technicians and staff are excellent and know their craft. Need a great dentist? This is the one to go to!

The Doctor took care of 2 filling since the where on the same side and I’m coming back next week to fill the other one. Service was great and staff is very nice. I definitely enjoyed my visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Contrary to most dental experiences, my visit with Dr. Hutchings at Hampton Family Dentristry was amazing. Upon entering the facility, I warmly greeted by the front office assistant who confirmed my appointment. Before I sat down, the dental hygienist immediately called me to the back to be assessed. After taking a few Xrays, a thorough dental evaluation was performed and after assessing my needs, I was evaluated by Dr. Hutchings. He assured me that my dental treatment plan was valid and was within the time frame to perform additional dental procedures. Afterwards, I received a teeth cleaning by the African American female dental hygienist. She was excellent. I have another 6 month evaluation in December. Overall, I was assured a clean bill of oral health. Please consult Hampton Family Dentistry and their entire dental staff for all of your dental needs. They treat you like family. You'll love them!

Experiencia fantástica: I love visiting this dental office. I’ve been coming here for about 5 years. The staff is super nice and professional. Dr. Hutchings is the best dentist I’ve ever encountered. He truly cares about his patients. On a few occasions after receiving fillings, he’s contacted me during the evening of the procedure just to check up on me and provide aftercare instructions. This is truly going above and beyond. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else for my dental needs.

They accept Delta Dental insurance and will do their absolute best to do repairs instead of expensive procedures. They come up with a treatment plan, and in a few appointments you can have a new smile. Dr. Hutchings is so good he could do the work with his eyes closed. He is so experienced that dental work has become second nature, to a perfection level of skill. I'm telling you I have been to others and there is no comparison. I would drive 100 miles, and I usually do not write reviews either, that should tell you something. I had work done by them 20 years ago that is still in great shape. I wish I would have never went anywhere else. Don't make the same mistake I did. Get with Hampton Family Dentistry and stay with them.

He often calls later in the evening to check on your pain if you’ve had a procedure done and answer any questions or concerns you have. His entire demeanor is a big warm hug. Also Jenni, Denise, and the entire front office staff are amazing! They work tirelessly with Dr Hutchings to ensure you get in if you’re in any pain or have an emergency. He literally said to me once “I won’t go home until you’re taken care of.”

Experiencia negativa: Price gouging. A different office performed an extraction for $220 but I was quoted $350 here. Where did the big price difference come from? You already took days to call me back. If you didn’t want to complete the procedure you could’ve just said that.

Experiencia negativa: The worst experience . Amanda made my visit very uncomfortable. She didn't clean my teeth properly. She wasn't friendly barely handle my concerns. She didn't change her gloves. She used the same gloves, typing on the computer looking in my mouth.

Experiencia negativa: I scheduled appt weeks ago only to show up the day of and see the office close. I was advised the office was aware days before they would be close and the did not notify my. I tried to reschedule and was told an available date (may 4th), I shared concerns over the lack of communication after waiting almost a mth before the 1st failed appt and then the receptionist advised the May 4th date was no longer available. As a new patient this was not an ideal experience.

What’s the matter what the matter dentistry? After calling family dentistry at 10 o’clock in the morning, they put me on the schedule for 2:30 in the afternoon worked me in had my teeth clean and my tooth extracted by five! Instant, pain relief! non-insured patient they had a good cash plan with a discount! When I left, I high-fived the doctor and her assistant! What a great visit
