Experiencia fantástica: We had a great first in-office experience (and I have bad experiences from other offices to compare it to)! I have 2 toddlers, one of whom was being seen. They asked me to fill out and bring paperwork with me to my appointment- and then didn’t make me fill out the same paperwork again once there. Filling out paperwork while monitoring two little people in an unfamiliar place can be challenging so I appreciated that I could bring everything with me. Our hygienist, Sherry, was amazing with my 3 year old. Very positive and gentle and had obviously been working with children for a while. When I told her it was our first time at the practice she said, “We won’t disappoint you”. Dr. Kari was the same and made sure I was informed of all she was seeing during her exam. There were lots of prizes and positive incentives throughout the visit to build a positive experience and association for my child about visiting the dentist. Scheduling was really easy and it will be convenient in the future to be able to have both my children be seen at the same time.

Experiencia fantástica: The was THE BEST experience that I have ever had at a dental practice!!! Nothing but excellence from the time I set foot to enter the office until I exited the last door. VERY CLEAN and COMFORTABLE atmosphere. Everyone I encountered or even passed by was extremely professional, friendly and helpful. The assistant was very patient, kind and thorough with my very curious 5yo son. Dr. Cwiak was simply AMAZING!!! This was our first visit and the wait time was minimal and the actual time with the doctor was quick but extremely thorough. I love everything about this place and sent referrals out while I was waiting. LOL

Her top priority was always making sure that my daughter was comfortable, and provided a stress free environment. My daughter has autism and a fear of doctors offices but when i took her in to get her dental surgery, she could not wait to see Dr. Alpano. If i could give more than 5 stars i would.

Experiencia fantástica: Both of my children have been going to this practice for several years, and I have never had any issues or concerns. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The scheduler is especially helpful in booking my children on the same day and at the same time, which makes visits very convenient. The office is always clean, appointments run on time, and the dentist is very thorough during exams. Dr. Cwiak takes the time to encourage and explain proper dental care in a caring way that my children can easily understand. She is a kid-friendly dentist who creates a calm and positive experience for my children. We have also never had any issues with billing or received unnecessary charges.

Experiencia fantástica: I don’t usually post reviews, but this place really deserves it. My daughter has ADHD and anxiety. This definitely manifests in places like doctors and dentists. However, this office really listens and remember and takes care of the little things to really help make it an easier experience. They remembered that she didn’t like flavored toothpaste and had the non-flavored available. They even mentioned the next time that I could bring her toothpaste from home for them to use! They also had a popsicle for her to have after her fluoride treatment so it would mask the taste she doesn’t like. They don’t judge me when I tell them that I do the very best I can with brushing her teeth and give me helpful suggestions for tips because she has a small mouth and opening. So, if you have kids that make visits like these stressful, give this office a try!

Experiencia negativa: We had a very disappointing experience at this clinic. During our visit, the dentist recommended several dental procedures for our child that, after seeking a second opinion, turned out to be completely unnecessary. When we raised concerns and chose not to proceed with the suggested treatments, we were dismissed and made to feel uncomfortable for advocating for our child's well-being. The lack of openness to questions and the pressure to approve expensive and questionable procedures left us feeling distrustful. A dental office that works with families should prioritize clear communication, transparency, and respect for parental decisions. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. We will be seeking care elsewhere.

Experiencia fantástica: First of all, I really like where this office is located! It is nestled in a serene tree-lined area near a pond with outdoor tables and decent parking. Next is the cozy atmosphere of the office and the cheerful staff that greet you and let you know what is expected for your child’s visit. Dr. Alpano and her staff were friendly, patient, effective and thorough. I’ve watched my child become a fan of going to the dentist. The dental hygienist soothed him with conversation as he was getting his teeth cleaned and gave us some pointers and supplies to improve his dental care routine. Dr. Alpano talked with him and helped him understand why his tooth care is important. My child was engaged and curious from beginning to end. The cute coin they gave him to use in the toy machine was a bonus. Thank you so much for caring for my kid!

Experiencia fantástica: We were a little sad when Dr. McCain left, but we decided to try another pediatric dentist in office…BEST decision we’ve made. My daughter loves it here. The staff are so kind, patient, kid friendly AND professional. They also implement positive reinforcement for completed exams and treatment(s) with a trip to the treasure box etc. We love it here!

I really appreciated the dentist giving my child vital information using their props and materials available. I always stress the importance to my children about brushing their teeth but it seems to be more effective hearing it from a professional.

She explained everything she was going to do and then after the procedure (4 teeth extraction and several fillings) she explained everything in detail. The whole staff at the surgery center was amazing also! So happy I switched my ASD 10 year old son to this practice. They are awesome!

Experiencia negativa: PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.TAKE YOUR CHILDREN SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the care my child received at Caring for Kids and Parents. Our experiences have raised significant concerns regarding the quality of service, communication, and overall care provided by Dr. Kari Cwiak and the staff. During our visits, we felt that our child was treated as just a number rather than an individual in need of care. Dr. Cwiak's approach was impersonal; she often spoke about "the parents" without directly addressing us. For instance, after a recent appointment, she mentioned that my child had cavities without showing any signs of decay and pressured us into considering fillings and numbing options, which felt inappropriate given the lack of clear evidence. I requested copies of the x-rays and was refused them on numerous occasions. We also encountered significant communication issues between the billing department and the dental staff. During our initial visit, we requested a particular care plan including white crowns, but when we returned for the procedure, we were informed that stainless steel caps would be used instead. This disregard for our wishes left us feeling disrespected and frustrated. Furthermore, we were informed just days before a scheduled procedure that the care plan had changed yet again, and we were faced with new uncertainties regarding the treatment. The lack of prior communication about these changes, alongside a sudden increase in billing, added to our disappointment. The cumulative effect of these experiences has led us to feel that Caring for Kids and Parents is not a suitable fit for children.

Experiencia fantástica: This office is phenomenal! They are so great with my kids and have so much patience! Without even asking they entertained my 2 toddlers while my 4 year old was being seen. They color, play with toys and when it’s all done they ALL got to choose a toy to leave with. Great care, great staff & great facility.

They are always so nice and good at making my kiddos comfortable. There have been a few instances where I needed them to be seen in short notice and they have always managed to squeeze the girls in. From the front of the office to the back they are great. The place is clean, they are fast and very professional!!

It was such a refreshing change from waiting 10-30 minutes after the appointment is supposed to start, I really appreciated that, especially with a 10 & 4 year old. The best dental experience I’ve had pertaining to my children.

Experiencia negativa: My recent experience with Dr. Kari Cwiak was disappointing compared to Dr. Tetyana McCain. After my child's cleaning, Dr. Cwiak entered, ignored us, and immediately started reading medical jargon without acknowledging us. She spoke about "the parents" as if I wasn't there and only addressed me briefly after her assessment. Dr. Cwiak explained my child had two cavities but couldn't show any decay and just kept saying "she has deep grooves". She urged filling them and pushed for numbing options. After Dr. Cwiak left the room, they continued to push me to have the procedure done. When I hesitated, they pressured me to sign a refusal document. When I asked questions about the document, the dental tech left to get the doctor again. Dr. Cwiak returned, still not addressing us, and commanded my child to sit for further examination without explaining why. Advocating for my child, I stopped her from proceeding until the doctor could explain why she was back in the room and asking my child to sit back down. She then mentioned it was to assess the suitability of laughing gas based on her tonsils, which should have been determined earlier during the exam. Dr. Cwiak's approach felt impersonal, like she was dealing with cattle, not patients. The interactions between her and the staff seemed disorganized, almost like internal banter. It's clear that the compassion and personal touch this practice once had left with Dr. McCain. The new environment feels indifferent, lacking the care and warmth we previously experienced. I'm not seeing this as a good fit for my child anymore after years of coming here.

And they were great with my 2 year old when it was his first time. They were gentle and made him feel so comfortable. He’s usually terrified of doctors.

And they explain everything that they’re doing to my children and Myself and husband and also answer whatever questions we asked and elaborate when needed to. The best dentist our children ever went to. And both of us are able to go back except when procedures are being done so we rotate.

Doc is so gentle and plays right into the sweet spot with the girls. They just relax and settle down while she is doing whatever she is doing. As knowledgeable as can be, she is amazing at "simply," yet thoroughly, explaining procedures and practices in a way one can easily understand; ESPECIALLY to children!! My daughter is, and always has been, far more receptive to Dr. McCain than any other doctor and the fact that she looks forward to going to the dentist reflects just how patient, gentle, and kind Dr. McCain is and speaks to her ability working with children... she is certainly one of the best, if not THE best, pediatric dentists around!!

My daughter had a huuuuuuge melt down and was pretty irate in the beginning but the calmly let her have her moment with no judgement and continued to provide the most amazing service to her. They follow up with appointments by text, email and phone (if you haven't already confirmed) -- working to ensure that parents don't forget. All-in-all, it's been a good experience, and would highly recommend their services.

Experiencia fantástica: We could not have had a more awesome experience here. My 4-year-old son had his first dentist appointment and was VERY nervous about it. Both the dental hygienist/assistant and dentist herself were SO kind and accommodating. They made him feel safe and comfortable, talking sweetly and explaining everything they were doing to relieve his fears. I cannot be more thankful for the amazing visit we had and am looking forward to our future visits!
