Experiencia negativa: The dentist was compassionate and knowledgeable, answered all of my questions. The problem was the lady who brought me into her office afterwards. She would not give me straightforward answers for anything I asked. So focused on the upsell she would not give me a clear picture of my options. She has an infuriating nervous tick of clearing her throat like “hm” every few seconds when confronted with direct questions instead of following her upsale script. Will look elsewhere for care.

Experiencia fantástica: On a business trip - lost a tooth and while I felt like a hockey Olympic Champion - needed it correct before flight out of Grand Rapids. The entire Aspen Dental team was 100% fantastic. “Rocky” led the charge - helped processing visit, Dentist, techs, and insurance! OMG - can not overstate the professionalism and personal care this AspenDental office provided. Hope I don’t have to come back :). But if I do all “chiclets” will be in place! Experiencia negativa: Terrible service my face is swollen. I have called this place all morning long. They put me on hold for at least 30 minutes. I have all my screenshots after that. I called back act like I was a new customer and they said like once they got my name they said they were gonna look up my account and I was on hold once again for another 30 minutes then they hung up the phone never called back.

Experiencia negativa: MUST READ BEFORE GOING!!! I recently visited the Alpine location and everything was great until I spoke to Rocky, at the end of the appointment. First, there was no urgency to get me scheduled for my fillings; the entire focus was on getting me back in the office for a $1500 cleaning and antibiotic program. There was no breakdown of the actual charges, just the number on a tablet. And anytime I went back to my primary concern, the fillings, she seemed irritated that she wasn’t able to upsell me. Here’s where it gets really bad. So I told her I “may” be losing my insurance in about a month, and the doctor I spoke to said we would get a time figured out to come in before I lost it. After telling her this, her attitude worsened, and she said she would not be able to schedule me for the soonest appt in May because of the insurance issue. That is, unless I paid half of the charge for the fillings ($500) right then, when they are currently free under my current coverage. And that $500 would also book my appt for May, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to schedule my appt because my insurance “may” lapse. However, when I confronted Rocky about this issue, she said she didn’t have access into seeing when my coverage would end, and that her regional manager would be mad for scheduling me. So, don’t mention anything about your insurance or they will likely use it against you. Essentially, she lied directly to my face about what she could/could not schedule based on my insurance that I’m currently enrolled in, was more concerned about her boss than me (the patient), and never actually scheduled the cleaning or fillings appt because of all of this. She said she would put me on a cancellation list. How can I be on a cancellation list if I’m not even scheduled Also, you offer dental discounts, that was never offered and would also likely have granted me a spot, she really just seemed uninterested after I was uneasy about giving her $1500 for a CLEANING right then. Using my vulnerability against me is a wild tactic, and I’ve never heard of someone not scheduling out because they “may” lose their insurance, and had I not said anything, I’m sure my appt would be scheduled. It felt more like I was at a Verizon store than a dentist's office with all of the UPSELLING, and if you’re going to upsell, you shouldn’t lie to someone with common sense. Didn’t even schedule me for the actual cleaning either, likely because my insurance covered it and I wasn’t willing to fork out a grand for extra cleaning services. Or, because she was too embarrassed that I called her out on her BS. For clarification, I was pleasant in asking the question about her knowing about my insurance ending (which again she had 0 clue about and decided to make up an untruthful story as to why she couldn’t schedule me) and was deterred from really asking anymore questions after she admitted to lying directly to my face. I also tested her flexibility in scheduling when I asked if she could get me in any sooner for my fillings if I went through with the $1500 cleaning regiment, and she certainly did perk up to the idea. I’ve never experienced something like that at a dentist's office, and I’m extremely disappointed because the claims made while you’re on hold and on the website about urgency (only thing urgent is trying to get as much money out of you as quickly as they possibly can) and the like all appear to be false based on my interaction with Rocky. I will say I mentioned my insurance dilemma to the front desk when I arrived and she informed me that there may be a bit of a wait if fillings are needed, which is completely understandable. Lying about why you can’t schedule me 4 months out and the ineffective upselling is unacceptable and deceiving.

When I was sitting in the lobby, I witnessed how rude people can be. The conversation with the front desk lady was a bit concerning at first. When you I call a place of business in 2026 and your told you must come in to sign paperwork, then you call back weeks later for a request for them to email you the documents and they verbally tell you after you’ve phone over 4-7 times and twice you were connected to a human that kindly toned gave you every excuse to why your placed on hold and then sent to voicemail after being greeted and asked would you please hold. You kindly tone down so, then finally you get tired with your patience being taking for granted and you speak up and say “ you know I’ve been nothing but patient and respectful and still be pushed over to voicemail. Then your told well we are busy and we have customers in the office with appointments and I’m the only one and on and on reality reasons, but I was a customer as well, and actually switching to another dental place because I never received the initial care I first became a client for. Why? Because it’s always excuses with Aspen dental on Alpine . Then what’s the most unprofessional and unethical disgrace of it all is the representative asked for my email address I spelled out three times and was told “ I’m sending the documents over now, you should receive it shortly”. Never received the documents. Called back and I assume the staff that answered this time was either over this individual in tiers, but whomever it was leadership was sarcasm and not of team work and customer or company satisfaction. Why? Because had it been this particular person would of not given the same excuses and the representative herself, she would’ve of handle this one simple task an email document and gotten that person (me) out the way. Instead, I was talk to with firm tone and excuses just to never and still haven’t as of 11:05pm EST, received the promise email document. It is pure a wonder why this location is always hiring. Always in need of customers to hold on. It’s pure unorganized and lack of team work, laziness, power happy off a title or degree entitlement reflects in person, in the waiting area, over the phone, now lack of email submission. Please do better! Nobody should be lied to under a company’s name that’s suppose to be trusted to go in your mouth. Community members take heed and please know I have no benefits of reporting this but to share the truth and prevent another person from the unprofessionalism and time wasted! Do better Aspen Dental! Hiring better! Maybe even pay better I don’t know! But if not go away! PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND THAT SAME COLD HEARTED PATHETIC RESPONSE YOU GIVE OTHERS LEAVING A TRUTH POIR STAR RATING “ We are sorry for that …. …” No your unprofessional and poor leadership and no team effort for that and liars definitely! If you’re truly apologetic you correct things and make it right! You don’t keep repeating the same response!

The unnecessary radiation was not how I planned to start my Monday when I just needed my dentures repaired. Be prepared for upselling and pushy sales tactics.

Experiencia negativa: I would never recommend this dentist office to anyone. They are absolutely unprofessional. I scheduled my appointment six months to a year in advance, only for them to cancel it the day before and then tell me I’d have to wait another six months to a year to be seen again. They admitted their dental hygienist made a mistake, yet I’m the one who has to deal with the consequences, meaning my health issues go untreated because of their error. There was zero accountability and no effort to correct the situation. To make matters even worse, when they called to reschedule, the front office staff put me on hold for 15 mins until they closed, then hung up on me and then refused to answer my calls. I left several voicemails and never got a response. Unless you are absolutely desperate, I would strongly suggest going anywhere else. This office clearly does not value their patients’ time, health, or trust.

Experiencia positiva: Got me in quickish for an emergency visit but then didn’t do anything for me but come up with a dental plan after X-rays. I needed and still need relief. I guess I had higher expectations because of how big of a company they are. I will most likely go back to get my work at least started but I didn’t feel like there was any empathy for me and how much pain I’m in intermittently. It’s debilitating. Some staff had great customer service and some not so much.

Experiencia negativa: It was such a waste of time. Any state I've lived in dentists usually will do x ray, exam, and cleaning on the first visit. If you need a deep clean usually will tell u the cost and bring you back for other appointments for that. Not going back. I literally just wanted a basic cleaning first and once I can afford it get a deep cleaning.

From there, the team is able to make recommendations and discuss options that meet one’s individual needs. When schedules allow, offices do make the effort to offer treatment on the same day, but it’s not always possible. -The Customer Service Team

Everyone, from the front desk staff to the dental assistants, hygienist, and of course the dentist, was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Experiencia negativa: This has been a horrible experience. The worst decision I have ever made in my life going to Aspen Dental. I transferred my services from 28th Street to Alpine Street office. The lab tech came into the room with a compassionate heart and made me feel heard. She took the time to hear my concerns and tried to resolve the badly fitted product. Alpine Aspen Dental needs to terminate their office manager Rocky. The individual is horrible in customer service, has no compassion for people and very disrespectful of others time. Rocky professional skill set is the reflection of a poorly managed organization.
Experiencia fantástica: I have a BIG dental phobia (visit the dentist like every 5 years), and they did such a wonderful job at making me feel comfortable and informed about what was going on while they were working on me which really helped calm my anxieties. I cant recommend these guys enough. Just did my fillings and it was the best dental experience I've had. (Pro Tip: a frim stress ball also really helps calm your nervous system down and gives you something to do while you're in the chair, so you should bring one if you're like me)

Experiencia negativa: After switching Insurance companies, I booked an appointment for a cleaning and X-ray. They did X-ray and exam but no cleaning and sent me to location manager "Roci". She presented an estimate of almost $1,000 above insurance coverage for treatment for potential Paradental gum disease. I had seen my previous dentist for 35 years regularly with last appointment March of 2025, and no indication of the condition Aspen said existed. Roci indicated that they could not move forward with any cleaning until I paid or set up a "Payment Plan" with interest (their own I might add) I left after telling her I would have to think about it. I received an email from the Aspen District supervisor, Charles Smogoleski, inquiring about my 1st appointment. I responded with a cordial response requesting his phone contact. He responded w/o giving me his phone # and asking me to email my questions to him, so I sent back a polite email with 3 specific questions. Never heard back from him! After trying to contact Roci for a week through calls and voicemails with no response, "Darcy" finally returned my call and agreed to meet with me to discuss my concerns. She had dental hygienist "Lindsey" contact me with a reduced estimate to treat my bottom teeth 1st. I paid estimate, went to appointment and she did my botton left and had me come back 5 days later to do right bottom. At this appointment, she started preparing and stopped to say she needed to check to see if I had a balance! After objecting, she said she would have Roci explain because "she was better at explaining" and that I 'should have signed the form" (?) She returned 10 mins later w/o Roci and said I owed the balance! I left w/o treatment. The communication at this office is poor to say the least. The fact that the manager, Roci, and district manager, Charles Smogoleski were both missing in action after attempting to contact shows the lack of really caring about this matter. I don't put blame on Darcy or even Lindsey. Leadership always shows precedence for staff to go by, and leadership is very poor. I do not recommend utilizing this office for your dental needs. I do recommend reading these Google reviews (as I didn't) before making an appointment. You will see the reviews are peppered with similar issues concerning this office.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazingly careful work, had to have a bad cavity eaten tooth pulled, and the worst was the taste of the numbing liquid when I swished my mouth. I was terrified after a childhood experience, and the staff put my mind at ease. Dr. Gena was incredibly kind and professional. Best dental visit I've ever had, in and out in a half an hour. No pain afterward either, which is odd but I am very thankful!

Experiencia fantástica: I was so nervous going to a new dentist for the first time. At the check in desk Abigail was so friendly and so welcoming and so professional at the same time. Next I went back to sit in the procedure chair. I was so nervous. The assistant was so friendly and welcoming. She was very patient with me as we were trying to get my denture to fit right. Next I met Dr. Gena. She was so friendly and so welcoming. She was so professional and so confident. Her confidence in doing my procedure made me feel confident in her ability to get my procedure done. In under an hour she had 11 teeth extracted. It all went so smooth easy. Dr. Gena is an awesome doctor. I recommend Aspen Dental to anyone needing dental work done. My experience was so good. I’m so happy with my choice of Aspen to get my dental work done.

Experiencia negativa: My son recently went to Aspen Dental - he was in severe pain from one of his molars. He couldn't get in for 4 days then when he finally had an appointment they told him he needed a root canal. They don't do root canals so he had to go to a specialist but again it took another 5 days for sn sppointment. I do not know why someone has to suffer in severe pain for over a week. This is a travesty!

Experiencia negativa: Disgusting, unclean, equioment falling off the walls, blood on the floor, exposd wires and electronis, unhelpful staff, very unprofessional staff. Large lack of knowledge, constant revolving staff. The woman who DESTROYED my wifes mouth is no longer employd here. SEVERAL trips for new partial dentures and non of them fit and their response os :thats the best we can do" for 3,000.00 you cant get them to fit. This plave has been an absolute joke since day one. We are now requesting a complete refund and leaving with nothing but damagd tissue from an aggressive extraction, numbness in the face and lip for 5 months and no teeth. Woman want a beautiful smile. And this plave absolute can not provide that nor can they provide clean happy results. FIND A REAL DENTIST

Experiencia negativa: Aspen Dental is a scam. I went here a couple months ago because the prices were good. I went and was told that I needed to spend $2,400 before I could even get my teeth cleaned. The customer service was subpar and they didn't even give me a detailed description as to why. I decided I wanted a second opinion because that seemed crazy considering they told me my teeth were in excellent condition. So I went to a smaller, local and family-owned dentist. And they cleaned my teeth with no problem! Didn't mention any of the things that Aspen Dental said that I needed (I feel I did not need). Also I had aspen Dental do x-rays because I was overdue. And I needed them for my new dental office. And Aspen Dental refused to send my stuff. They had two months to send the files / x-rays and they never did. Probably because they're mad that I didn't want to give them all my money? Would an absolute scam. Aspen Dental is a large corporation that has no respect for their customers. Will be telling anyone listening to not go here and just go to your local dentist instead.

Experiencia fantástica: Love Lindsey! She always does a great job. The new Doctor was very nice and she’s so gentle. Ran late today but that’s very rare. The radiologist was also very nice. Don’t like going to the dentist, but everyone always does a good job. The above post I forgot to send 18 months ago. Today was filling day. Haven’t had a filling in years and the least favorite of anything I’ve had done in a very long time. All went well and the Dr. was very gentle and personable. A bit late getting called in but everything else was very good.

Experiencia negativa: Do not go here, I had to get my wisdom teeth removed because it was emergency to do infection. After setting up the appointment because they refuse to do anything the first day (I just needed teeth pulled mind you) I came back after paying a visit fee of a copay out of pocket then they started the procedure. They put total of 8 each shots in my mouth start pulling in wiggling in my teeth and then the manager came in and stop them with one of my teeth half removed and said that your insurance no longer covers you procedure as of today. This was really something they should have checked before I even arrived and not halfway into a operation. At that point between the medicines I was given for the pain and procedure I was directed to go back to the manager office (my face swollen and unable to speak due to inflammation, numbness and swelling due to the drugs they used on me) to talk about payment immediately halfway into my procedure only to be turned away later and sent home because they wanted out of pocket additional amount or they wouldn't proceed. I'm pretty sure this is malpractice also after this they went stop calling me for 5 months trying to get me to come back and reschedule. They also tried billing me for this and wouldn't you know my insurance paid it.....

Experiencia negativa: Upon arrival to an appointment made 4 months prior, I learned that my appointment had been canceled. Why?!! Because I didn’t reserve my reservation!! Even though the appointment existed, it was canceled because I didn’t call them and tell them that I wanted to keep it. The Office Manager was extremely rude. And when I called the office at other times; I was placed on hold! And no one ever picked up!! This happened 3X in a row. I will never visit this office or any other Aspen Dental offices ever again.

I called this morning, in a lot of pain and extremely anxious and they fit me in for a same day appointment. Following my original appointment the squeezed me in AGAIN in the same day for another appointment. They made me feel comfortable and even giggled with me all day. Experiencia negativa: While the team and dentist here are wonderful- keep your receipts! Because the corporate billing is ridiculous! I got immediate dentures in 10/2024. Everything went beautifully! I was highly impressed by the staff and how smoothly it went. I gave them a 5 star review. I’m on DentureTok on TikTok and have talked about this Aspen location & had positive interactions with the Corporate media team. Then 5 months into this I start getting a bill for another $3k when I paid cash upfront. I was told originally that it was an error and to ignore it. But when I received the bill again the next month and called they doubled down. When you call and choose the billing office it sends you to NY to corporate who always hang up or disconnect me while on hold. To get my local office you have to pick the appointment option and then ask for the office billing person- not corporate. And even she had hung up on me. I have gotten BCBS involved as they do provide legal assistance in these matters. I’ve had 2 lawyers reach out, and I’m calling the BBB. I have run the numbers and they literally profited $9 based on the BCBS itemized bill, but want another $2,975.32. While the team and dentist here are wonderful- keep your receipts! Because the corporate billing is ridiculous!
