Experiencia negativa: Writing this review, since link was sent to me about how my experience was! I had an appointment today. The front desk staff was very nice, and the the hygienist was considerate. Unfortunately, my experience with the doctor was disappointing. The doctor came across as rude and dismissive. She needs to improve how she communicates with patients- by listening to them and responding with sensitivity and respect. If a patient is uncomfortable or experiencing pain during an examination, it is not appropriate to simply say, “ I told you it’s going to hurt”. Additionally if information is needed from prior dentist or doctor, then it should be requested ahead of time or asked in more professional manner. Saying “prove it that you had a deep cleaning earlier” felt disrespectful. Patients deserve to be spoken with courtesy and empathy, especially in a healthcare setting.

I tended to delay dentist appointments, because--like most folks--I had real anxiety about going to the dentist. But, NOT ANYMORE! Dr. Hanono and her professional staff of caring individuals will put you at ease, immediately. The office is immaculately clean and quiet, and everyone from Brandon and Julie up-front, to Katharine (her very professional and very compassionate assistant) offer the most competent, and kindest treatment you could ever wish for! Some of my teeth were somewhat stained from decay, and I have very thin teeth, owing to my long-term osteoporosis, and this meant very gentle yet serious care was needed. Dr. Hanono has miraculously transformed my smile! Do not delay dental visits, any longer. Get an appointment with Dr. Hanono and feel good about your smile!

I was presented with options and their respective costs. After my services they called me later that day to check on me amd my pain level. Experiencia negativa: While her years in the field are evident, I felt there was an overreliance on assumptions rather than diagnostics. I was sent for a unnecessary crown consultation based on an incorrect diagnosis. Additionally, I needed multiple fillings redone after unsatisfactory work. To her credit, Dr. Hanono did offer to redo them for free, but I just didn't want to take a chance again. I was also uncomfortable with the lead hygienist's behavior, which seemed to go beyond their scope of practice. The scheduling staff is great.

As an entrepreneur, I emphasize this. You all were absolutely amazing and incredibly welcoming. I cannot recall the receptionist's name but she is extremely sweet and informative . The service was exceptional. When I arrived at the back, I continuously inquired about veneers and braces, as I have wanted braces for aesthetic reasons since I was a child. However, I cannot remember the name of the person who told me, but she advised me to stop asking about it. She said that I don't need it, as my teeth are already pretty and straight. She jokingly suggested that I should just floss. Overall, you all are fantastic.

Experiencia fantástica: Over a weekend, I had an emergency after a piece of my tooth fell out leaving an exposed nerve and 1/3 of my tooth altogether gone, evidently deteriorating over time behind a bad filling that another dentist did. The pain was excruciating to say the least. And I couldn't eat, drink, or sleep all weekend. To make matters worse, I was scheduled to leave town that Friday for several weeks, leaving me four business days to figure out how to deal with this tooth. Sunday night I called family and friends to find out if anyone new a dentist/orthodontist who could possibly fit me in and figure out what to do in the short time I had. My son had just become a new patient of Dr Hanono a couple months ago, and had an excellent experience dealing with a really bad tooth himself, so he insisted I call her office first. So first thing Monday morning I called and they worked me in before noon that same day! After a physical exam and an x-ray of the tooth, she had to deliver the some bad news. But how she did it was so impressive and caring. She immediately said, "let me grab my chair so we can talk about what is going on and your choices on how to proceed." She explained that that there was no way to save the tooth and that I needed emergency oral surgery to extract the tooth. She then walked me through all the various options I could do from there. She made sure I understood each choice using photos and models as examples, the pros and the cons of each procedure, the estimated cost of each, and made sure that all my questions were answered. My old dentist basically just told me what to do. Once I made my choice, she immediately got me medication for the infection and the referral. 10 minutes later, I had a surgery scheduled for 6a.m. the next morning with someone that she not only trusts, but one of her assistants just went to this surgeon for an extraction of her own tooth a few months ago and she personally vouched as well. I am so pleased with the urgency that they showed me, the compassion and respect they gave me in that painful and difficult situation, and from the person that answered the phone to Dr. Hanono herself, the experience was far beyond anything I expected. I will be going back to them as soon as I get back in town to pick up where we left off, taking care of my other teeth, and will have Dr Hanono and team be our ongoing family dentist!
