Experiencia fantástica: I have many dental concerns and Kim is always very thorough in addressing/treating them. I brought in my retainer and mouth guard which had fluoride buildup to be sterilized in the auto clave. She took a fair amount of time to remove by hand with instruments the remaining deposits.

He pointed out a problem I hadn't noticed before, and he said I didn't need something done that I had been told I needed.

Experiencia positiva: The only reason I took off stars is because of the dental hygienist, Nicole. She is a very nice lady, but unprofessional and inconsiderate. It took us 30 minutes to get through the initial x-rays because she was talking about snow and her chickens. I just felt like my time was of no importance to her. This was not the only time either. She did it again later on before starting the cleaning, as well as after the cleaning. The cleaning only took about 5 minutes, the dentist check was maybe 10 minutes, but I was in there for an hour. Again, Nicole is very nice, but just not considerate of time. With that said, this dentist office is amazing. They get you back super fast and the dentist himself is super good. He cares about you, remembers you, and explains things simply so you can understand it well.

They made sure to ask how I was doing the next day and made me feel so comfortable while in their office. Yesterday I got my wisdom teeth out and again, I felt so comfortable and welcome. Just got a text from the office asking me how I was feeling and if I had any questions. Incredible staff. I cannot recommend them enough.

His name was Robert—an 11/10 hygienist!

Experiencia fantástica: I remember coming to Stonehaven for my first time and white-knuckling my way through the initial consultation because of terrible past experiences with other dentists. Dr. Moody has his business set up in a way so that they genuinely try to help us not be scared of the dentist chair. Absolutely LOVE Stonehaven. [And no, I'm not getting paid off to do this review, Dillon :) ] Unfortunately they are now charging for laughing gas (nearly stopped my being able to come to them but were able to use HSA thankfully) and their oral sedation is $670 (yikes!) But I’m grateful there is a dentist like this out there because it’s certainly help me get over most of my dentist anxiety!!

Experiencia negativa: If you need more than a cavity filled do dont let thisboffice touch your mouth. Dr. Nielsen did a root canal on my tooth in the back. He completely missed one of the canals that needed to be cleaned and filled as part of the root canal. When it had an infection after the root canal his plan was to charge me $1500 to remove the tooth as that was my only solution after I had already paid $1400 for the original root canal. I went to an endodontist who redid the root canal and removed all the infection. This location is like a factory the dentist are treating too many people at once so they make mistakes that should have been very apparent with all the trays that were taken of that tooth after treatment. An entire root not being treated is very clear of xrays. There is 3 white lines and a grey area for the missing canal. Never go here. They will do whatever they can to make more money from you without an actual solution other then an implant after removing a tooth.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible experience with Dr Nielson. I went in for a routine checkup/cleaning with no sign of cavities or pain in my teeth. During the checkup I was told that I had 3 minor cavities and they asked if I wanted them filled. I assented to this and scheduled an appointment for the following week. I got my 3 cavities filled and was left with extreme pain in all 3 teeth for the rest of the day/evening I woke up the next day still with tooth pain. When the secretary texted me to checkup on the procedure, I mentioned I had a high amount of pain and they told me I had to wait a week to do another followup. After the followup, they adjusted the filling a little and I was hopefully that that would fix the problem. It didn't, so I called back and said the adjustment did nothing to fix the pain. The dentist told me I needed to deal with the pain for about 4 weeks to see if it would go away on it's own. The pain was so bad I have had to avoid eating anything on the left side of my mouth. Even flossing hurt. 4 weeks later the pain is even worse than before - even cold drinks hurt my teeth. I went in today for another follow up and the dentist told me that the cavities I had we're "significantly deep" - not what I was originally told and he explained that I needed a root canal and said that a root canal was possibly required before the cavity was originally filled. I asked him why the possibility of a root canal wasn't originally mentioned. His response was "it's in the paperwork you signed." Well obviously it's there for legal reasons, but they never offered my the chance to read the paperwork. I was simply told to sign the DocuSign pad on the front desk when I checked in for my 1st checkup. I'm convinced this was negligence on the dentist and possibly a case of malpractice to have me pay for a cavity filling as well as a root canal. Don't trust these guys!

Experiencia positiva: Front desk is sweet and the dentist did an amazing job on my fillings, however, it felt like everyone is always in a rush. When I first went in I was scheduled for an initial exam and cleaning, during the exam the dentist wasn’t paying attention to my concerns and kept cutting me off. Turns out, he was late to a wisdom tooth extraction. They were also unable to do my cleaning saying I had to reschedule. When I went back for my cleaning, the hygienist was in a rush which was causing her to give me unnecessary pain. During my fillings, the dentist stopped mid way to get to another exam and left me with my jaw pried wide open. He rushed so much that I had a high bite so I had to go back same day to get it fixed, to which again, he was in a rush. The work is amazing and they are able to get you scheduled right away, but the attention to the customer is terrible.

Experiencia negativa: My wife was in pain, so we went to a referred dentist. They worked on a tooth, did a root canal, and left the crown too high. They completely missed the infection at her roots. We had to go to another dentist who also completely missed the infection. Won't come back here even for a cleaning.

Experiencia positiva: There wasn’t anything wrong with how I was treated and the level of care they provided. However, they suggested a long list of procedures worth over $11k worth of dental work. Thankfully I went to a different dentist and had a second opinion. I was recommended to do only 2 procedures with the grand total being just over $88. Please do due diligence before committing to treatments/procedures.

Experiencia negativa: I had many bad experiences with Stonehaven, both that were unprofessional and what felt like they were just trying to take money out of my pocket. My first time visiting Stonehaven, the dentist told me I had many gaps in my teeth and that he recommended getting their orthopedic services. Growing up and to this day, I have had teeth that look very straight and frankly have not needed to get braces. For him to recommend it put a sour taste in my mouth. During my last few visits, I was told that there was a fragment of a baby tooth stuck up in my gums. I could not see it on the x-rays. They did not tell me how much the procedure would be, and I was a broke college student. I decided on my most recent visit to get the fragment removed, and I told the dentist I didn't want much numbing. He continued to persuade me to get it, and I finally caved, to my regret. He did the surgery, but told me he couldn't find the fragment and that he thought he had gotten it because there wasn't anything left. This made me wonder if there was anything to begin with! The procedure was $60 for 15 minutes, and this was out of pocket (not covered by insurance). The whole experience was very disappointing. I also had an experience with a dental assistant where she was talking so much that she kept stopping in the middle of cleaning, forgetting where she left off, and redoing spots that had already been done. This felt very unprofessional. Also, there's a bird cage in the office that makes the place smell pretty bad when you first walk in, and it has gone from 5+ birds to only 2 on my last visit. So sad! I will not be getting dental work done at Stonehaven again.

Experiencia positiva: The people that work here are very nice and helpful, and they did good work, but I was prescribed an antibiotic I was allergic to even after I told them my allergies. I didn’t realize they were in the same family until it was too late and I broke out in full body hives. So they were kind of careless in that regard. But other than that my experience here was good.

Experiencia negativa: The dentist recommended replacing my metal fillings with the white resin fillings to avails future issues. Since then (5 months ago) I have several teeth that have pain while eating where there was no pain before the replacements. Now they say I may need a root canal for the work they did. I feel as if they are just tryin to get more money out of me.

Experiencia negativa: I booked an only appt for an emergency toothache and then got a call that the time slot booked online was not available. I texted the morning before to take the second time offer only for them to try to change it by three hours. The receptionist then sent a text saying the appt was for a cleaning and wouldn’t have time for that even though I initially put toothache emergency. Terrible communication, I’m so glad I’m not going there now.

Experiencia negativa: We loved Dr. Moody but after his passing we had terrible experiences here. One dentist seemed to be over eager to identify cavities and insisted on working on 6 at once, and then messed up and caused so much pain (when there was none previously) that we had to go back multiple times to have them redone, and two years later they are having to be redone again (with a different dentist obviously). I called to speak with the practice manager at the time of service and the dentist himself called me back and gave half apologies and overall felt very confrontational. We hope the practice is better now, but if not patients beware. We know at least two others that had similar experiences here.

Experiencia negativa: My daughter went here for a cleaning bc she wasn't able to get in at our home dentist in the summer. She's never had a cavity before in her life. They told her she had four. Unfortunately, she let them do the fillings without even telling us or getting a second opinion. I suspect it was just them getting money out of a kid who very likely had no cavities at all.

Experiencia fantástica: I accidentally pulled off a crown one night while flossing. Stonehaven got me in right away the next morning and Dr. Nielsen stuck it back on. I always appreciate the care and timely service here.

Experiencia negativa: This office will lie and do unnecessary (and bad) dental work to get your money. I went here a few times and the first time I was told I needed some new fillings and some redone. I had them all done. Their instance estimate was off by $88 (a lot of money for a college student). The next time I went I was told I needed FIVE fillings and the dentist didn’t even look at my x rays. I take very good care of my teeth and have good tooth genetics and rarely have cavities, so this seemed very strange. I went to a new dentist almost a year later and I had ZERO cavities. To make things worse, two fillings I had done at this office have chipped in less than 2 years (one on a hamburger and one on pizza) and I had to get redone. Several reviews have mentioned this same thing. It’s disappointing and highly immoral to make unnecessary permanent changes that will forever affect individuals for profit. I would recommend Rock Canyon Dentistry to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Experiencia negativa: This dentistry has good and welcoming staff, and they accepted my student health plan. Dr Trivedi worked on my teeth. Within 4 months of my fillings, 1 became inflamed, 2 popped out, and 1 chipped. All of them were defective. In the end, after seeing my teeth and with me being unwilling to have them redone here, they refunded me. All good will, but I had an extremely negative experience that turned what should've been 2 dentist trips into a total of 8, at this office and the other one that redid my teeth.

Experiencia negativa: I made an appointment and when I went in the receptionist was pretty rude and said they filled my appointment because I didn’t text them back. Even though they sent me a text a few hours before saying “looking forward to seeing you today!”. They turned me away and I didn’t get my appointment even though I took work off to come in. Reception was not nice about it either

Experiencia fantástica: I called to schedule an appointment for "check up" because a cinnamon bear had caused a tooth to "chip." It seems like no matter what dental assistant you get at this facility, they are always friendly and compassionate and I don't feel I've ever been let down by an assistant here. Then it came to Dr. Nielsen. With this having been more of an "unscheduled" visit that they were doing just to accommodate me, Dr. Nielsen did not once seem bothered by or rushed with me. He thanked me for my patience, supplied me with a treatment plan and THEN even volunteered to 'fit me in' with his other patient too and got the `point of visit` resolved for me very quickly with no hidden suprises. I have had years going to this StoneHaven, and feel I've always been given great care!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to this Dentist for about 20 Years, since it was Provo Dental Care. I have been very happy with Dr. Nielsen and the staff. They are ALWAYS very professional and kind. I would highly recommend this Provo office to anyone looking for a trustworthy and friendly Dentist. Also, they are honest and I have never felt pressured to get work done that I didn’t need. Every Dental Assistant and Hygienist there that have helped me is top notch and very friendly.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Traveti is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to dentists, practitioners, and being truthful. His claim to fame? Telling half truths, lying by omission, and gaslighting. From the 4 times I’ve seen him, it’s all about making the absolute most money he can. In my consultation, I was told that I was to have a root canal, and that I had a small cavity in the tooth in front of it. During the root canal procedure he proceeded to mostly talk with the dental assistant and barely payed attention to his work, making multiple mistakes throughout the entire procedure, becoming extremely frustrated (due to no fault of my own). I tried everything that was possible to make his job easier by listening to everyone and doing exactly as they asked the entire time. After the root canal procedure was done, I asked if my cavity would be filled/repaired while the tooth behind was ground down and had easy access to be repaired, before receiving my crown. He then proceeded to tell me that he would take care of it, right before my crown was to be placed. The crown I received was installed by a dental assistant, with absolutely no supervision, and seemed to be inexperienced in the procedure. After 5 failed attempts, they finally went back to Dr. Traveti to come over and babysit. No, he was not seeing other patients, and his voice carries. He was sitting at his desk in the back. Similar to a teenager at work looking at their phone acting like they are being inconvenienced to do their job they are being payed for. At that time I had asked if he would repair my cavity, which begrudgingly he did, whilst talking down to me. I’m 28, he’s very close in age to me. He also stated he did not remember talking about this at the prior appointment. Gee, sure glad he reads his progress notes. Six months later, I had my dental cleaning. Dr. Trivedi came back and told me that my cavity was not properly repaired, WHICH HE DID HIMSELF, and told me it was likely to progress into major tooth decay and would need a root canal. In a attempt to be understanding, and take some responsibility of my own, I said, maybe it was because I caught the filling just right and broke it loose while flossing. But he then proceeded to tell me that that was physically not possible and that brushing was not to blame either. He then very quickly proceeded to tell me that he would have to repair it and give me another root canal. By this point, I had realized what I had been put through, and that I had been played and scammed. The quintessential two face Utah County culture. Long story short, if you have to ask your practitioner a genuine question that has not been answered, (doesn’t matter what field it is) and they get irritated, steer clear.

Experiencia negativa: Please please get a second opinion if you have come here. The staff and Dr. Trivedi are all so nice, however, my brother and I were told we needed a huge amount of root canals. They said I needed 5, I believe. And my brother needed 10. (the one root canal I had with them was literally traumatic.) We have NEVER had any pain what so ever. In the past when we have had cavities, they have been irritating enough for us to get them filled. So I don’t understand how they could say we needed so many and we didn’t have any physical pain what so ever. We ended up getting treatment with them on a few teeth to try to avoid needing MORE root canals. (He told my 16 year old brother if we didn’t get them done ASAP he would need to get multiple of this teeth EXTRACTED. HES 16!!!! so glad we got a second opinion.) Insurance obviously wouldn’t be able to cover $15K worth of root canals so we were on a payment plan with the office. We called at the beginning of the year to schedule more root canals since our insurance would start covering again, at which point they told us we could not get ANY work done until we had paid off all of our payment plan (which maxes out at $700 according to them and they were unwilling to work with me on that) We are not a family that can just fork out $700-$15K. And what family can these days??? And what kind of place has a max for a payment plan ESPECIALLY when you are telling us we need $15K worth of dental work? We ended up going somewhere else considering we couldn’t get any work done there anyway. Ended up finding out my brother only needed ONE root canal, the rest were cavities, and I needed just a few fillings. Which seems right considering the no pain. We went to Treehouse dental in Highland and they were so amazing. AND they don’t max out their payment plan. I have no clue how this place has good ratings.

Experiencia fantástica: Stonehaven in Provo has been a continuously positive experience. My hygienist this time around was so gentle (I’m usually ticklish and sensitive when it comes to cleanings but I had zero discomfort!) and this was the only time any dentist’s office has taken my jaw pain seriously. They informed me of options and gave me pricing breakdowns so i knew what I was getting myself into. They’re transparent about costs and procedures and the front desk staff are so friendly.

Experiencia positiva: I gave 3 1/2 stars because almost everything about the office was welcoming, professional and the staff treated me with a great amount of care and concern. I didn’t appreciate the excessive chatter about personal experiences between the dentist and the staff. It made me feel that the dentist was not totally focused on what he was doing to me.

Experiencia negativa: This office is ALWAYS in a rush to treat, often times working without allowing enough time for anesthesia to fully take effect. We decided to take our kids to a different dentist (SMART dentistry, look them up!) and it’s been a huge difference. My wife got a crown replaced today and they pulled the temporary crown and cleaned up around the tooth to place the permanent crown WITHOUT anesthesia (nerve exposed and all). WHO DOES THAT?!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been a patient at Stonehaven Dental in Provo for about 3 years now. I’ve gotten my regular cleanings, fillings, and wisdom teeth removal done with them and I’ve only had good experiences. They are extremely professional and attentive. Experiencia fantástica: I liked my old Dentist just fine but when my daughter started using Stonehaven she told me to try them. I love Stonehaven! I did not know how much better a Dentist could be. I would never go back to my "just fine" Dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: They have been so kind and professional when I’ve been there. I had to have nine cavities filled and it was actually a good experience which is saying a lot for having cavities done! Nice office, not a long wait time, all around good to deal with. Loved the hygienist, the dentist, and the dental assistants.
