Experiencia negativa: We went to Cardinal Family Dentistry to get a second opinion. On their website it says “second opinions are free”. However this is a lie. There are multiple caveats that are not included on the website that determine if this visit is free or billed. It was extremely frustrating as this was not explained on the website nor was I treated with respect when I questioned what was clearly written on their website. I am not sure I would have gone here for a second opinion if their website had been truthful about costs. The second opinion was what I expected. I was glad I was able to receive it & put my mind at ease. But be careful with what you read as it might not be the reality.

I had a great experience with a check up and cleaning, then scheduled a necessary appointment to have two wisdom teeth extracted. I was surprised that, including time for numbing, I was done in an hour and it was pretty easy! The healing went swimmingly and less than a week later am able to eat (lightly) on the extraction side! I'm so happy to have found Dr. Sarah Barker and look forward to a good dental relationship going forward.

I rarely write reviews but I have had such a great experience at this office that I felt I wanted to share. The hygienists that have cleaned my teeth have always been super kind and also very thorough in making sure my teeth are clean. I love Dr. Barker. She is very kind, thorough, and has done several fillings for me with great care and precision. I never feel pushed to get something I do not need and I feel my oral hygiene has improved since coming to this office. Dr. Barker has also helped me most recently in dealing with my TMJ, referring me to some great PT in the RTP area. Lastly, and most of all, the office feels like a family-run dental office. I love that aspect of it, instead of feeling like just a number at some big corporate place. I cannot recommend this place enough.

However, a year (!!!) after my treatment I received an email from the Clinic requesting to pay additional amount to the one I was billed and paid 100% during my appointment. I was billed additional amount because of the clinic's fear to confront the insurance's refusal follow its obligations. Direct quote of Sarah from Cardinal Dentistry: "the balance comes from your insurance not paying for the exam or the x-ray in full - they paid $13 towards the x-ray (fee is $24), and $0 towards the exam (fee is $65). They had told us they would cover that in full, but did not." So the clinic decided to persecute the patient, since insurance refused to pay them! Shameless people with the lack of business ethics. *Great dentistry. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a good dentist. I had tooth pain and tried three different offices that did not help me in any way, as my case was not the easiest one. Doctor Jowza did help me, and very professional and gentle with me as a patient. I wish Doctor Jowza, her family and the Clinic prosperity and luck for their kind help to the patient in pain!

Experiencia fantástica: After having two back-to-back VERY bad experiences with other area dental groups, finding Cardinal Family Dentistry was truly a Blessing! Per-appointment the staff called me, helped with insurance matters and were just great! My first visit was an "emergency" and was handled with such professionalism. My second visit was also a home run. Dr Barker was exceptional in helping me navigate through my Dental Plan (Which was the bomb with the other dental groups) and assisted me in targeting what the priorities were given my coverage and budget. I left that visit feeling confident I was in the best level of care ever! A 5-star rating may not be enough to express my satisfaction with Dr Barker and her support staff of professionals! And I must add, her skill level, use of technology and "bedside manner" also made for a great experience in what could have been painful and tedious.

Experiencia negativa: I cannot recommend this dentist office. They have shown they don't have respect for my time even though they won't hesitate to charge you if you don't respect their time. I was taken back to a "room" and left to sit for 15 minutes with no one coming in. They put a bib on me, gave me the remote to the TV and left. Also, if they recommend the nightguard, think twice before you get one. They are EXTREMELY uncomfortable despite being named "Comfort 3D". The technology is lacking in terms of mapping your teeth or printing the guard, maybe in another couple years these might be better, but for now I would suggest doing your research before agreeing to buy one.

Experiencia fantástica: I just had a filling and a crown completed - two different teeth - at Cardinal Family Denistry. This is my second review of this provider. They continue to impress! If you're a little shy around needles, Dr. Barker is your dentist. Her hand is steady and gentle. She gave me novocaine in two different locations - that's four injections - and I hardly felt the needles. The work she completed on my teeth today appears to have been perfect. On top of that, 6 hours later, if not for the improved feel of my bite, I would never know I had been to the dentist today. My wife and I are very happy to have found Dr. Barker and her wonderful staff.

Experiencia fantástica: I can not recommend Cardinal family dentistry enough! I was very nervous to get a teeth cleaning and it had been quite a few years. Jennifer is my neighbor and took a quick look at my teeth, and told me not to worry at all. She and everyone else would take great care of me, as they did!!! Jennifer worked so fast and so efficient for my teeth cleaning! She had top of the line instruments such as a air polisher and even a warm towel at the end to wipe off my face! She is so wonderful at what she does. I truly feel like I am getting the best of the best when she cleans my teeth! The densits both took the time to thoroughly explain my dental work I needed done! I feel like i wasn't just "another" patient! It is beyond great to find a place that goes the extra mile with a warm towel, the best instruments, kindness, and are top notch at what they do! I look forward to finally not being nervous for dental appointments, and I'm so grateful Jennifer got me in!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to this dentist for years. I very much recommend Dr Sarah, and Carla. Carla is so gentle and kind, and Dr Sarah is an incredible dentist. She’s always available to answer my questions and speak to me directly with any concerns. My teeth feel incredible with Carlas magic touch. She was very thorough, and answered all my questions. They recommend I switch to a non-fluoride toothpaste after months of cavities…and this is the first visit in years I am cavity free… who knew! WOOHOO!

Experiencia fantástica: I had my first visit with Cardinal and it was amazing! I have always had anxiety about the dentist and was nervous about finding somewhere new when our family relocated. I cannot speak more highly about my visit. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. I especially appreciated Jennifer, who immediately put me at ease when cleaning my teeth. She was so thorough and explained every step of the process. You definitely get the sense that this is not some sort of “dental factory” just focused on shuffling through high numbers of patients—they seem to really care about each individual and give their full attention to everyone. I am so glad that we found Cardinal—I highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: When I called Cardinal Family Dentistry to set up a new patient appointment, someone answered the phone and made the appointment. There were no options menu, being put on hold or having to leave a message for a call back. I completed my paper work on line. When I arrived for my appointment, they only had to scan my ID and insurance card. I asked what the new patient special covered and was assured there would be no surprise charges. Jennifer was my hygienist. She is extremely knowledgeable and explained every procedure as she was doing them. She is also very friendly which helped lower my stress level. After reviewing my x-rays, Dr Jowza examined my teeth. I had no immediate issues. She made a couple of preventative suggestions. I was not pushed to make any decisions on the spot. I recommend Cardinal Family Dentistry not only for their excellent dental care but for their honest business practice,
