Experiencia negativa: Terrible service. The MPI (motion pictures insurance) overs both a PPO and HMO dental plan, Currently on the MPI Delta Dental PPO and called to receive an approximate quote for what the average Invisalign might cost for the average misalignment case, just a middle basis. I was trying to research if the average MPI motion pictures dental HMO insurance would be under or over $5500 quote I got from another dentist on my current PPO. But they refused to answer or help me find the answer without a consultation, but I told them the deadline for MPI insurance ends in July and their next appointment wasn't til August and needed a quicker answer. Its very hard to believe that a dentist in Burbank with thousands of movie studio employees has zero baseline on what the out of pocket cost might be for MPI Delta dental USA HMO, if it was under $5500 I would of gone through the trouble to switch and would of given them my Invisalign business, but they simply wouldn't answer and brushed my pretty simple question aside. There's simply no way I'm going to switch insurance only to find out they would actually charge more then the $5500 quote I got from the dentist on my PPO. Very strange behavior.

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointing experience. The nurse was very RUDE and she asked $650 just for removing the wisdom tooth and for the socket to be packed that wasn’t necessary. Be Careful that is fraud and another way to steal your money. . I would not recommend this clinic and doesn’t deserve even a star

Experiencia negativa: I walked out before my treatment even started due to a very poor experience. The staff had very negative, bitter energy and clearly seemed like they did not want to be there. No one responded when I said hello when I walked in, including Ashley front desk. When I was seated, the doctor came over with Ashley and mentioned there was a pricing error. When I asked for clarification, Ashley responded rudely and dismissively with, “We went over this already.” The doctor (Kourey) was kind and professional, but I was still left waiting for a very long time without updates or communication. Overall, the lack of basic respect, communication, and professionalism made me uncomfortable enough to leave before treatment. They also began speaking among themselves about dental tools not working properly and needing to manually adjust during the procedure, which added to my discomfort and made me uneasy about continuing treatment. Horrible Horrible experience and waist of time. Ashley and staff please find another profession that makes you happy.

Everyone was patient and caring with me as someone who has SO much anxiety around the dentist, the drill, and being in one place for hours. I did not get her name but the woman who does the cleaning was so patient and kind to me. I will have to look at other options on some of my work due to the American healthcare system and the roll everyone has to play in that but they were wonderful to me.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent! I had a cavity in my wisdom tooth and was in horrible pain! I was given a same day appointment and had minimal wait time in the office! The doctor was wonderful! She gave me the numbing agent a couple of times and my wisdom tooth was extracted with no pain! I am relieved and happy to have found Bright Now and would recommend!

Experiencia negativa: My wife (who is pregnant) and I had appointments for routine cleanings on 4/4/2026. This was our first visit — we recently changed insurance and simply needed to get on schedule. I let them know I'd had x-rays done at my previous dentist just a couple months ago and offered to authorize the transfer. I declined new x-rays due to the repeated recent exposure. Dr. Jeanine Khoury refused to see me entirely — no exam, no probing, no visual inspection, nothing. She said she couldn't determine which type of cleaning I needed without new x-rays. Keep in mind, she had never once looked in my mouth. Here's where it gets interesting: in the same visit, they offered to visually inspect my pregnant wife's teeth without x-rays. So a visual exam is possible when they want it to be, just not for me apparently. They had never seen me before, had zero baseline records, performed no examination whatsoever — yet were already discussing whether I'd need a standard cleaning or a deep cleaning. How would they know that without ever looking at my teeth? The answer is they wouldn't. The x-rays come first so they can justify the $400+ deep cleaning before they've even picked up a mirror. We walked out. Both of us. Save yourself the trip and find a dentist who actually examines patients before deciding what to bill them for.

DMD Jeanine K. is a beautiful young lady who is a master of her trade and the science. I am an advocate of professional talent and perfection and so admired Dr. Jeanine's every detail in real time. She has a gentle but experienced, firm and precise hand, to comfort the most nervous, sensitive patient. The technicians and support team have clockwork precision. They all are pleasant, supportive and caring. I also give credit to the front desk ladies who are accommodating, knowledgeable and very precise. Dr Noom(sp) is very good. Her demeanor, confidence, and attention to her patient is 10/10. The administration staff too has gotten. So much better. And finally the Dental Hygienist, Jackie I thinks is very good and empathetic.

I have been coming to this office for about 20 years now, since before it was even Bright Now Dental, but I have had very bad experiences in the last few years. I excused it the first couple times, mainly because I didn't want to have to look for a new office, but it's now mandatory. Very unorganized and poorly ran office and this has been going on despite several changes on management and staff. I will definitely have to make it a priority now to find a new dentist office, unfortunately.

I am 39 and I’m not “afraid” of dentist but I have had several bad experiences with either the practice doing a procedure and giving me the bill after or the doctor being impatient and not numbing me enough. For this reason, I was nervous about going to BrightNow but as soon as I was called by RDA, Ever, I immediately felt better. She was so caring and explained everything she was doing. Then came Dr. Khoury, who did an amazing job. She was just as caring and gentle. They explained what needed to be done and I was told how much my payment would be BEFORE the procedure so there were no surprises. She made sure I was comfortable and she even stopped twice to dumb me more as I was feeling a little pain. I will definitely return and recommend my family.

Experiencia negativa: Awful experience, awful place... First of all the assistant was rude, I came for a pain / sensitivity consult in all my teeth. Eventhough she was aware of this, she seemed to not know what x-rays I was needing. I let the assistant know where I was having pain and she just kept repeating "What do you want me to do about it!?". I am the patient, you need to know what should be done. The doctor didn't seem to care much, and the exam/xray room wasn't clean or prepared properly: No suctions placed on the assistant's side, no plastic sleeves on them either. There was a missing water tip on Dr's side with no sleeves, the light was missing the barriers... I don't know if they treat more patients like this, but I wouldn't recommend this place at all, they really don't care about their patients.

He took time with me and he gave me options he was very charismatic and put me at ease I'm so so pleased to have found this most beautiful group of people please visit this office and not only will the joy be all yours so will the smile

Experiencia negativa: I was scheduled at 8:30am this past weekend. They called me as I was actively driving over to say that two staff had called out and they needed to cancel. I work during the week, so only am available on weekends for appointments. They need to hire trustworthy staff and not just someone (multiple someone's!!) who doesn't bother to show up. Also issue with insurance (According to them. No issues when I call my insurance directly). Sus.

Experiencia negativa: They made an appointment with me, then told me my insurance wasn't valid the day of the appointment. I have DMO which specifically means I was ASSIGNED their office. My insurance IS active, I called aetna to confirm. Paperwork drama so that patients are scammed out of money by paying out of pocket?? Bad. Not checking if it was valid before lying to customers?? Also bad. I cancelled the appointment because if they can't correctly read insurance why would I trust them to read my xrays correctly

Experiencia negativa: Don't read these 5 star google reviews, they are fake for sure. Go to their yelp profile, it is a much more accurate representation of how bad this clinic is. Here is my story: This company is absolutely terrible and you should avoid at all costs. Here is a run down of what happened: In March of 2021 I had surgery here to remove my 4 wisdom teeth. I had insurance through Anthem (do not buy anthem Dental HMO, does nothing for you) and it still cost me $1600 upfront because y'know they need to make some money which is fine, $400 per tooth is a reasonable price in LA if you are paying cash. The problem is that they charged me for a bone graft, WHICH YOU DON"T NEED after wisdom tooth extraction. I only learned this later... my fault for falling for this BS. Anyway, after the extraction I needed to get root canals and crowns for 2 of the adjacent molars that were damaged by the wisdom teeth. Their root canal dentist had no room for 2 months! I had to scramble and find other clinics which are just as bad as this one (again do not buy Anthem HMO insurance, all their clinics have terrible reviews and no space for procedures). So a year and a half later! I get a bill in the mail for $600 dollars: Description: Ins To Pt-Alt/N Cov I don't know what this means but I guess something not covered by the terrible Anthem insurance (again DO NOT BUY ANTHEM HMO). I had a look at my anthem account to see the claims that were submitted... they submitted 2 claims totalling almost $5000 in March of 2021 which were of course denied, Bright Now knew they were going to be denied that's why they charged me the standard price of $400 per tooth upfront. There were no new claims submitted since March 2021 Now why in the world am I getting a bill for $600 a year and a half later when no new insurance claim has been submitted with the line in the bill that doesn't even say what service the charge is for? You have seen all the 1 star reviews recently, so don't be dumb stay away from this clinic and all brightnow locations and don't buy Anthem Dental Insurance, pay cash upfront.

Experiencia negativa: This is hands down the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. I had an appointment here for a CLEANING at 2PM and they got me in around 2:45PM for X-Rays. The X-Rays were quick, but I then waited to be seen by a doctor until 3:40pm. She said we could proceed with my cleaning and I asked if we’d be done by 5:30pm since I had a dinner to attend (thinking 3.5 hours at the dentist would be plenty). She said that she can’t give me times but that they’re very backed up because they had Specialty so it would “definitely” take more than an hour. I asked when they close and she said 6pm, so I asked if they’d be done by then, and she said she could not guarantee it. I’ve never spent more than 1 hour at a cleaning for the previous dentist I went to and can’t fathom that this dentistry thinks not even guaranteeing the cleaning would be done in 4 hours from the appointment time is okay. Highly recommend you seek another dentistry.

Experiencia negativa: BEWARE of This Place!!! Do NOT COME HERE! DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! This has been one of the most frustrating and upsetting experiences I’ve ever had with a dental office. I was charged for services I never received—including a crown and partials—and they billed both my insurance and credit card for work that was never done. It’s been over TWO MONTHS, and I HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY REFUND NOTHING has been REVERSED! To make it worse, the manager Asaph has been no help at all—and offering no solutions. THEY ARE NOT ANSWERING OR RETURNING MY CALLS AND NOT RESOLVING THE ISSUE!! The reason I didn’t want to get work done there is, the dentist drilled into my tooth, then told me I needed a root canal—OF COURSE I DO after they DESTROYED it! And instead of fixing it that day, they told me to come back to make an appt another time. I was already in the office for 3 hours and left work early! Now I’m in excruciating pain when I wasn’t to begin with! On top of that, I had an infection in another tooth and was told I didn’t need antibiotics—just to have it pulled. This place is careless, dishonest, and completely unprofessional. I would never recommend them to anyone! The way I am being treated is beyond wrong, and I sincerely hope others read this before going through what I am right now I am in pain and they took money from me!

I have already reported them to that STATE BOARD and CONSUMER AFFAIRS OF DENTISTRY FOR ALL THE ILLEGAL ACTIONS THAT TRANSPIRED HERE, when I came here for treatment as a patient. Starting with The front staff is a disgrace to any dental and medical field. The so- called treatment coordinator Jabba (ASHLEY) needs to be schooled on patients rights. This place actually refused to give me my own patient medical records. My own records. Highly illegal and has been reported to the STATE BOARD. Furthermore the dentist on duty that day allowed this to happen. The dental care here is substandard. I was left to deal with a serious dental infection and no records to help me get medical care. I will never come here again nor refer anyone to this place. I will let the legal system and state board take charge of these horrific situation.

Dr Jeanine did an excellent job, since I travelled two hours to get there she did what she had to do within couple of hours so that I wouldn’t have to go there again to complete the procedure where as the my former place kept postponing my appointments and did not do a good job . Many shots said I would be in awful pain. Laughed! I wasn't, but not very funny!! Went again! Plenty of x-rays! No service! Said needed confirmation from my doctor! So I have never came back! I believe they just take x-rays and finally did a cleaning! But believe they charge my good insurance, but didn't service me! Won't go back!

I went for my appointment wasted my time , they only took X-rays ( i guess my Insurance pays good for X-Rays ) then waited again half an hour for cleaning that never took place . I was told they need authorization and they will let me know when to go back .Never heard of again , this was almost 2 months ago and waisted 3 hour of my time for nothing . I’m calling to my Insurance to put a complaint about them and change my Dentist as soon as possible .

This isnt the first time that Bright Now has saved my teeth! Thanks to them I can finally eat! God bless! Side note: Saw a 1 star review from someone who said that he had to wait 48 hours for emergency care. When I arrived unannounced, the front desk people scheduled me for an appointment ASAP. I know it sucks to wait, but please keep in mind that they have patients to take care of. Patients who were scheduled before you.

Experiencia negativa: My appointment was at 10:30am, I walk in on time I drive from Orange County drove 1hr&25 mins. I had to make accommodations to attend, I tell them I really need to be out on time because of my work schedule and they said they are backed up??? how is it that they are backed up if they started at 10am ??? Now I have to wait until 11:10am to be seen and will be late to work because,They want to overbook thier schedule. This is absolutely ridiculous. Wait time is always horrible at this place.

Took a while to get attended as there was a confusion at the check in area, but ultimately the Dentists and their assistants were all very helpful and helped me to diagnose a gingivitis issue that needed extra care and cleaning and they did a phenomenal job. Would highly recommend!

Don't waste your time and money! They don't care about you!! I will not go here ever again. This place tells you you will pay one price but then will send you a bill months later for hundreds more. They made sure I understood everything that was happening every step of the way and made me feel calm and confident in a situation that almost always gives me anxiety. I trust in their decision making, in regards to my oral health and my comfortability. It means so much to me to feel okay at doctors offices because of my heightened anxiety and I truly was impressed with the team! Experiencia negativa: This place has a lot of problems, first day I walked in a customer was complaining about lack of attention to their patients. Please if you value yourself don't bring yourself to this facility. They don't care and just want your money. As a medical patient they definitely don't care. I had a dental emergency and they filed my procedure as regular visit. Not being able to sleep for 48 hours is not an emergency for them. As of now I've been to the ER twice. No antibiotics where prescribed to me on my visit to this facility. The ER gave me pain and antibiotics prescriptions.

Experiencia negativa: I hate that I have to put a 1 star here but to leave an office crying because of how the front desk staff treated me is wild. My hygienist was amazing 10/10. The actual people with dental degrees who know what they’re talking about are great. The front desk staff are not so great. I’d go as far as to say they’re mean. First, let’s call one of them Lady A. She scared me by saying that when I’m 40 my teeth will look like old people’s teeth. This woman who has no dental degree. I couldn’t help it and I started crying because I got scared and sad about the thought. The hygienist assured me she was lying and trying to scare me. The big issue is here. Lady A comes in saying she’s going to charge me $50 for a light cleaning and $50 for medicine they’re putting in my teeth. I say ok because I need to deal with my issues. But I ask if it’s total or for each tooth. She said total. I asked, “so $100” she said yes. 5 minutes later she comes back saying “actually it’s going to be $75 each is that ok” and I’m like no but I need to get the treatment so I said “it’s fine” I’ll pay $150. After the hygienist does her work on me, I go to the front desk to pay. The bill comes up to $300, showing they charged me $75 per tooth. I told her they made a mistake because Lady A told me it would be all 4 teeth total so $150. They said no and wouldn’t believe me. We waited for Lady A to come back. When she does I immediately rush up to her asking her “Did you say $75 for all 4 teeth?” And she says “Yes, all 4” in a room filled with other patients waiting their turn who can attest to what she said. Then 5 seconds later she goes “No, each.” I said “you can’t do that. You just said all 4 and now you’re changing it to each.” She starts gaslighting me saying she never said that meanwhile all these people just heard her say it. She also starts telling me to stop yelling at her when I was talking at a normal volume, I definitely wasn’t yelling. The gaslighting and bullying was insane. And I couldn’t help myself and started crying because of how I was being bombarded by the front staff gaslighting me and scamming me into paying more. First they said $50 for the medicine and $50 for the cleaning then they said $75 each and now I’m here being asked to pay $300. How does that make sense going from $100 to $300. And Lady A goes “I can’t talk to you while you’re crying” like girl you made me cry and now you won’t discuss the price. My mind was blown. A different front desk lady calls me over saying “I’m nice so I’m going to charge you $150 because I understand financials” you’re nice? After you just witnessed all the gaslighting and lying. Ok. But I still say “thank you you’re the nicest one here” and she goes “no they’re all nice” then she tries to gaslight me more by saying that anyways I’m probably going to be forced to pay $200 next time for a deep cleaning because of my insurance coverage. I said “ok I’m not going to schedule a deep cleaning then” and she goes “ok then your problems are never going to go away.” First of all, who are you? What degree related to dental work do you have again? I literally then asked her “why are you being so mean?” Only for her to say she’s not. You can’t get anywhere with these people. You’re better off recording them on your phone when they discuss prices with you because they will make you feel crazy with how much they will lie and gaslight you. So unprofessional and so anxiety-provoking.

From help scheduling to confirming my insurance to consultation and now post-procedure, I've NEVER had a better and more completely positive experience at a Dentist's office. My husband and I never feel like they’re trying to talk us into dental work that isn’t necessary. Very trustworthy and honest. We love it here! Adding that we also love Dr Bavar! We hadn’t used the ortho division until this past year. I got Reveal aligners and Dr Bavar has been so attentive with making sure everything is to my satisfaction. I’m so happy with her service!

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately i had to put 1 star review. Before coming to this office i was reading other reviews and was suprised why people would be disappointed, and now i see why. Front desk ladies were ok, talkative and friendly. X-ray tech was very nice and professional, unfortunately I don’t remember her name. Now the fun part. Dr Khoury after reviewing my exam started to offer me what needs to be done. All i know my tooth hurt and needed to be extracted, which was fine with me. But doctor reassured that after extraction its a MUST to do a bone graft, which is not true. I had implant before snd it was done 3 years after my extraction. Long story short, manager came with a plan and cost . I asked if i can only do extraction, again they denied me. I was given pain meds and antibiotics and asked for a copy of xrays which untill now never received. Next day I found another dentist who safely extracted my tooth and didnt push extra services

Ashley was very professional, warm and efficient, and she was thoroughly able to provide the much needed information regarding the services best for my mother, and Dr. Jeanine was very patient and kind as well. Experiencia negativa: Would give it zero stars if I could. I had a 2:30 appt which was switched to 12:30. And at 11:30 that day, I was called to come in as soon as possible because the doctor was going to leave at 12. Why schedule me at 12:30 when the goal was to leave at 12. Poor cleaning afterwards. Would not recommend.

Experiencia negativa: I've given this place three times to convince me to stay. Each time it has taken astronomically long and we have always gotten little done. It takes almost 2 hours to get 1 filling done, and when there are other patients, the dentists are pretty much jumping back and forth and will leave you in the chair unattended for hours.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a impacted wisdom tooth upper removed at 60 yrs old. I had bone graft and sinus cavity filled. Doctor's were amazing. Today is day after my surgery and mouth is sore but tolerable.

They wanted me to pay around $500 for a deep cleaning, which I probably could use, but didn't budget for, and REFUSED to do a regular cleaning instead, which my insurance would have covered. This is on top of the receptionist calling me a liar about my insurance when I arrived because she hasn't checked the fax machine, where my info sent the day before. I don't recommend them. I STILL have to make a new dentist appointment with someone who can work with my insurance and it was a waste of my time imo when I specifically had asked for a cleaning when setting up the appointment I had and was then refused once I was already there.

Experiencia negativa: I went there to get a cleaning. Instead they took X-rays and check my gums they said my gums were swollen. I floss frequently and my gums don’t bleed or hurt. I am disappointed they didn’t do a cleaning which is the main reason why I went in. The staff were very nice however.

Experiencia negativa: I had an unpleasant experience this afternoon. One of the front desk assistants was explaining the payment for my treatment and of course I didn’t understand it at first. As we went inside, she stepped aside to talk to a colleague of hers, and as they were talking amongst themselves they were giggling and commenting. I’m sorry but if a patient is in the same room that is really unethical on their part. They need to understand that coming into the dentist I did not have any knowledge about the amount that needed to be paid for the treatment. I think if there is going to be a payment involved there should be a better explanation. It wasn’t even discussed when you guys called about my upcoming appointment. Bright Now, I think you need new assistants who are good with customers service and know how to be ethical.

Experiencia negativa: I saw some terrible reviews for this place, but still decided to give them a shot. I guess that’s my mistake. When I arrived for my first appointment today the two ladies at the desk didn’t even acknowledge me. One was on the phone one wasn’t. The other just started making phone calls and walking around. About 10 minutes later one of them eventually got to me and asked me if I could come back an hour later because all of the dentist were going to lunch. I told her I came from work and wouldn’t be able to come back at that time. She didn’t seem to understand this. She said I must’ve scheduled my appointment through the call center because someone from the office wouldn’t have scheduled me at that time. I asked why nobody called to inform me before I showed up and she said “I don’t know what happened”. She then continued to ask if I could come back an hour later and offered me a “free work note” as if I were a middle schooler that needed to take that back to my teacher to get excused. Needless to say, trust the reviews.

Experiencia negativa: They will pressure you into unnecessary and expensive procedures in order to get more money. Places like this are all about quantity over quality. I made an appointment for a simple filling fix, and it required two different appointments, totaling in 6 hours of time at the office. During my 6 hours there, I was left alone for quite a bit of time, and no one introduced themselves or let me know what was going on. The dentist kept trying to tell me having my filling fixed was a bad idea and instead I should go for the $1500 procedure. I would recommend finding a dentist that isn't part of a large corporation.

The wait time can be a bit long at times, but it seems he is the only dentist there, so it’s somewhat understandable. His quality of work is top notch and I honestly enjoy going to the dentist for any procedure. I have no actual complaints or heavy criticisms about this Brightnow location. My next appointment is September and I’m looking forward to it.

Experiencia negativa: Charged for entire dental work, only did half the work, when my wife returned to have work completed, she was turned away, then they reported me to a debt collector! So they want to get paid for procedures they haven't done yet or plan on doing in the future, and i requested a refund, they gave me the run around telling me every time i have to speak to someone who apparently is never available. So if you want to get charged for complete dental work but receive partial services, then get reported to a credit / debt collector for refusing to pay for unfinished dental procedures, this is the place for you!

Experiencia positiva: I was on time for my appointment for a 6-month cleaning and ended up being there for 1 hour and 55 minutes. I sat for long periods of time just waiting in the dentist chair. After being told I also needed a $70 non-insurance covered irrigation - which seemed to be no different than a cleaning other than having a liquid similar to mouthwash to swish around at the end - I waited some more. The hygienist finally got around to me and cleaned the built up plaque, flossed my teeth and gave me that "mouthwash" before telling me to remember to floss and keep up the good work. The staff is very nice, but there needs to be better juggling of patients. This was probably the 3rd visit that took a ridiculously long amount of time for bi-annual x-rays and a cleaning with some mouthwash thrown in as an "irrigation." Please do better at scheduling your patients so that an estimated 45-minute procedure takes no more than an hour if a 15-minute cushion is added to cover a minor delay. Being out from work in the middle of the day for 2 hours is unacceptable.

Experiencia fantástica: I get terrible anxiety going to the dentist. I also have TMJ which can be incredibly painful. I was scheduled for a deep cleaning and I was trying not to fully freak out at my appointment. I made the staff aware of my issues. One of the staff members suggested I listen to relaxing music on my phone during the cleaning. They also offered to do half my mouth at that appointment and would do the other half another time (I opted to knock it all out at one time). Needless to say, my appointment went better then I could’ve imagined! The kindness and compassion of the staff was incredible! I’m glad I chose Bright Now Dental!

X-ray technician shoved something so deep into my mouth that I gagged. $400 diagnosis was made to my mouth before being given a basic cleaning. After convincing the dentist to provide me with a basic cleaning, water shot into my face for 70% of the procedure. Gums under one of my teeth is now sore. Don’t go here.

Experiencia negativa: HORRIBLE!!! I went in for an emergency appointment they scheduled me for at 1 pm. I am in pain! I come in at 12:40 Pm. Due to their being behind, they didn't take lunch, so all appointments at 1 pm had to wait 30 minutes. THEN, they finally take X-rays, finally sit me down and the doctor looks in my mouth and says I'm going to prescribe antibiotics. I ask why? What do you see? What do you recommend? Etc. he couldn't answer anything. And the worst part, I'm leaving in pain and they said they're going to send my prescription to my pharmacy. They weren't working on ANYTHING and could have sent it or even given it to me. I am in freaking pain. They "assured" me they would send it. I called my pharmacy and guess what, they never received anything. Now I have to go to urgent care to get my prescription. A complete waste of time. I will NEVER come back here again. I wish I could give them a zero. Also, I believe they're the ones who caused my infection! I NEVER had issues with my teeth before coming to them recently. I came for a deep cleaning then this happened.
