Experiencia negativa: We waited over two hours with no explanation or care. People should not be scheduled at a certain time if they’re going to be seen over two hours after that time. The girl at the front desk just said “that’s just how it is” and so did the manager. There needs to be respect for people’s time, and if there isn’t, the bare minimum is to check in and give a heads up. Horrible.

Experiencia negativa: Had an appointment at 2:30 for my son and it took them over 45 minutes after my appointment to call us back for x-rays and the person kept talking to him like an adult and that’s why he wasn’t understanding what to do “ maintain the bite” is not something a 3 year old understands and then we sat back in the waiting room for a while and it’s 4:09 and we are still here. Why schedule so many people if you don’t have the workers to deal with all the appointments scheduled

Experiencia negativa: I went in expecting a simple dental cleaning, but instead I spent nearly three hours at the office and all they did was take X-rays. No cleaning was performed, despite that being the reason for my visit. Three hours for X-rays is an unreasonable amount of time and a complete waste of my day. What makes it even more frustrating is receiving a generic apology afterward. Instead of offering a “sorry,” try respecting your patients’ time and being upfront about what will actually be done during the appointment. Very disappointing experience. I won’t be returning.

I waited a long time to be seen and once I got seen they didn’t finish my appointment and send me back home because the dentist was “behind in appointments” They couldn’t find anything for me to come back the following days. So, if you value your time do not waste your money and time here. Poor management overall!

Experiencia fantástica: It is my 1st time to visit Western Dental & Orthodontics. My appointment was at 9am but I waited for more than an hour before John called my name. John did my xray and he moved very fast. He sat me to the dentist chair and I waited for the dentist to check on my teeth. I'd say they are very efficient. There were so many patients that morning. The clinic was so busy.

On top of that, the refund process became a long ordeal of its own. I was told different timelines at different points, including waiting months for updates, and it often felt like I had to constantly chase down information instead of receiving proactive communication. At one point I was even informed they had switched systems, which delayed things further and caused even more confusion regarding the status of my request. I also went through the process of filing complaints and trying to escalate concerns because I felt like my situation was not being properly addressed. While some employees were polite during phone conversations, the overall experience left me feeling extremely frustrated, stressed, and unheard as a customer. No patient should have to spend this much time trying to understand billing, refunds, and insurance processing after already dealing with dental procedures themselves. To be fair, not every staff interaction was negative, and I do believe there are employees there trying to do their jobs. However, the overall organization, communication, billing transparency, and follow-through seriously need improvement. And they told me I had missed it. Said they called me on the 19th. With voicemail which I had never received. Their professionalism is a joke and I will never go to this place. So many things to complain about. So now i'm sitting here in pain still after a month. I would not recommend this place to my enemies.

Experiencia negativa: I was not impressed with the customer service. I called in to make an appointment. Was given an appointment right away but on a closed office day. Got notified day before that office was closed and for me to reschedule. Was reschedule for same day but earlier. When I questioned it, I was just told it was scheduled. Went to my appointment but sure enough the office was closed. I called and received apology and was given appt for the next dad. When I arrived I was greeted coldly and gave my name and was asked for id and insurance card. I had filled out pre appointment forms on line and informed the receptionist. She looked it up and printed the form out and was asked to sign the forms. I handed back in by my appointment time. Waited half an hour before the receptionist called me up and said that my insurance did not cover X-rays and that it will be out of my pocket so I said how much will it be. She was going to look it up and when I mentioned that the insurance shows paying for the X-rays. She said not for the full mouth X-ray required for new patients. She went to look what my out of pocket was she said the insurance changed so they are waiting for update. So I waited for more than half an hour (1 hour over my appt). I asked how long I have to wait. She really didn’t know. We can call you when we get the answer. So I wasn’t going to be seen that day. I’m still waiting to get a call back. This is really unprofessional in my opinion. I am not recommending Western Dental and probably won’t go back there.

Experiencia negativa: I had booked an appointment over the phone & provided my insurance so I would know if they take before I get . They said yes . I got here 20 mins early they said that I should do that to fill out paperwork. Once I got here . The front desk person Jaslin who seems like she hates her job , Said they didn't check for my insurance, also the two procedures I was going to get done were not gonna be able to get done that day after they already told me they would be able to do it because they couldn't check my insurance which they had already gotten the information prior. They said they had to cancel my appointment. It's my day off. I left friends and family early to be able to make it to this appointment. They should have let me know that before hand. I basically drove down for nothing . When I asked if I can be rescheduled for tomorrow morning, they said they didn't have anything one month out. I don't know what's going on, but this was very unprofessional very unorganized. They didn't really care. I will not be rescheduling back with them.

Experiencia negativa: Very frustrating experience. My husband had a 10:30 AM appointment for his first visit. We arrived on time, checked in, and then sat in the waiting room for two full hours before he was finally called back at around 12:30 PM just for X-rays and a quick checkup. After waiting nearly three hours total, we were then told that no cleaning would be done today because the clinic needs to wait about three weeks for insurance approval. This is something that should have been clearly explained when the appointment was scheduled. Most people reasonably assume a dental appointment includes a cleaning unless told otherwise. Instead, patients are expected to block out half their day, wait for hours, and then be told to come back weeks later. This clinic appears to mostly serve Medi-Cal patients, which is important and necessary. However, that should not mean patients are left waiting hours past their appointment time without clear communication about what the visit will actually include. People still have jobs, families, and schedules. Sitting for hours just to receive a quick exam and be told to return weeks later is not an acceptable use of patients’ time. Something about the scheduling, wait times, and communication process needs serious improvement.

Experiencia negativa: The girl working the front desk today clearly hates her position and should seek employment elsewhere. My appointment was scheduled for 1pm. I did fill out all paperwork online including my insurance info prior to the appointment only to have to fill out the exact same information again. At 1:53p I approached the front desk to ask about how much longer it would be as I had arranged childcare for my appointment, not expecting an hour wait for a cleaning. The receptionist huffed and rolled her eyes telling me she was still getting my chart together….? And that it’s typical to wait that long at this location and she couldn’t give me an ETA. I walked out at 2pm and instantly booked w/ Aspen Dental in Fairfield next weekend. I completely understand that things get behind (I am also in the medical field) but communication and friendliness go such a long way. I will be contacting delta dental to ensure I wasn’t billed for this visit. I’m editing this review to acknowledge that this facility sees mostly medi-cal patients which is why there is zero accountability for making people wait hours for care because they have no other choice. I only chose this facility due to weekend availability due to my job. Definitely won’t return or recommend. The replies from corporate are disingenuous at best and won’t actually spark real change. They get their money regardless.

The RDA i believe her name was Laya that fixed this time was 1000% better then the DOCTOR that did when I was getting it done the first time. The doctor had to redo the mold like 7 times cause she didnt set it in my mouth far enough. It was very annoying.

Experiencia negativa: HORRIBLE!!! NEVER ON TIME!!!!!! I really tried to give this office the benefit of the doubt, but after coming on 4 separate occasions just to get a cleaning and it still not happening even after paying $110 I requested a refund. At every appointment I had to wait almost an hour or more before being called back which is absolutely ridiculous. I originally came 11/15 and the Dr wanted a note from my OB stating it was safe to be seen during my second trimester. So I rescheduled for 11/22/25 and brought my letter from the OB. Of course the Dr that was supposed to do my cleaning did not come in that day. They offered to take my X-rays and rescheduled me to come back 12/13. Again I had to wait more than an hour before they brought me back. Once they brought me back it was still about 20 minutes before the Dr came to do my exam and then more waiting after he decided what cleaning I needed. I paid $110 and after waiting more time some lady came and asked if I could reschedule because the Dr was still with another patient. My last appointment was rescheduled for 12/18. Again I had to wait about 45 minutes before I was brought back( and I had to inquire how much longer before I was brought back). I decided if they had not started by 3pm ( appt was at 2pm) that I would be requesting a refund and leaving. I was told that the manager would contact me on Saturday once she processed my refund. I did not hear from the manager Saturday nor Monday. When you call it goes straight to a call center so I decided to go after work to check the status of the refund. Of course when I get there the manager is on some call and I had to wait about 20 minutes. It was also a gentleman who asked how much longer because he had been waiting more than an hour past his appointment time!!! Once I speak with the manager she has the nerve to tell me it can take up to 90 days to process my refund!!! I will be calling my bank and doing a chargeback bc that is ridiculous

Experiencia fantástica: My son was really nervous about getting his tooth pulled. The dentist put him at ease and made him feel better. He didn’t feel any pain during the procedure and told the dentist that he was the best dentist ever! I would highly recommend Vacaville Western Dental

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone here is really sweet. I'm so thankful for Dr Gomez & his staff. Dr Gomez is literally a life changer for the better. He made me a promise that's he'd get my smile looking the best....& he did. I remember telling him & the staff.while back, I just want to wear lipstick bc at the time, that was NOT happening with the mouth I had nope. But he helped me & her was so incredibly patient with me (I'm a sissy at the dentist) but Dr Gomez knew that & he did wonders anyways. I'd also love to say Thank you so so so much to the front desk staff, the xray techs, the little lady Dr, the boss mamas with the black hair who is literallyan angel & just to everyone @the Vacaville western dental, Thank you everyone With Love, Amber

Experiencia negativa: Multiple multiple times in the past have I scheduled an appointment and apparently I dont have it scheduled on their system. I gotten braces here and retainers, cleanings and xrays, amazing job on the dentistry, but the scheduling is what I always have a hard time with, I come from Fairfield and I would set days off at work in the past and they would sometimes waste my time and gas. I won’t be coming back. The lady at the desk last week on 9/13 said yes it’d be fine to come in 9/20 at 2:30, I even have the little card they give so YOU dont forget, I’m glad I called prior going in today because I just knew something would be wrong and yeah I wasn’t on the appointment schedule.

Experiencia negativa: They are the absolute worst. Told me I need 6 root canals done, and they had to refer me out since they lost their licensing for them (shocker). Called all of the offices they referred me to, only for them not to except my health plan, two of which could only do one tooth per year. They wouldn't even send my x-rays over to any other facility. Absolutely awful. Almost any other dental office is better. I was able to get everything done within a month at the one on Monte Vista, and they could do everything in office. Steer clear!

Experiencia negativa: Perfect dentist for people who like not having anything done and waiting for long amounts of time. I’ve had multiple appointments made just for general cleaning and every time, there’s an hours wait followed by essentially no accomplishments and rescheduling. Please do yourselves a favor and look into finding another office to save yourself from frustration.
