Experiencia positiva: Went and had a tooth extracted that was causing me pain so bad I was screaming for 4 days straight. I am grateful they were able to help out. BUT was disappointed to learn that they offer no pain relife whatsoever afterwards. Sorry, but tylenol and ibuprofen dont always cut it for pain that is so bad it literally has you screaming. Also they quoted me $9,000 dollars for 2 crowns and root canals.. thats pretty insane. So I opted to just have the tooth pulled. Dentist was compentent and got the tooth pulled though.

She needed a referral for an implant surgery and the Dr was very caring referring her to the specialist. Also, before we moved, they provided all the X-rays taken during our time here. The Dr will always check on her after every appointment to ensure she felt comfortable with the treatment. We’re very grateful to have found Solano Dental Group.

Dr Chen and the entire staff were friendly, kind and professional. The office is clean and modern. Everyone - staff, hygienist Fadia, and the dentist Dr. Mel explained every step of every process and procedure, from insurance coverage, to co-pay amounts, to next steps. I was a little skeptical at first - going to a dentist located in a shopping mall but my skepticism quickly vanished and I was made at ease the moment I walked in! Awesome, awesome, awesome!

Experiencia fantástica: Solano Dental Group is a fantastic experience for anyone apprehensive about checking their current dental status. I have not visited a dentist for about 38 years and have developed an annoying pain due to a set of impacted wisdom teeth. The fear and anxiety I felt when knowing this was probably equivalent to the pain I was experiencing in my mouth. The group here starting from the receptionist Glenda, will reassure you that your case will be taken in as priority and to be scheduled as soon as possible. Very personable and definitely has a natural ability to help a newcomer feel comfortable through scheduling. The dental assistant Miranda is also very friendly and takes the time to explain the prep work being done before the consultation. Then there's Dr. Chang. A very thorough and straightforward dentist who explains in detail what the situation is. He is very considerate in regards to concerns and possible fears, but is also honest with what the patient must deal with when dealing with their situation. Overall, this was an experience I would definitely recommend to family and friends who have been putting their dental care off to the side. Take the time and talk to these friendly folks and for sure you won't be disappointed!

Experiencia negativa: I am very unhappy with my last 2 visits at this dental office. After my regular exam and prophy, I was advised to have one of my teeth extracted, which is fine. What made me so upset was that I had to wait an hour after I was numbed. Of course the anesthesia wore off already when he got back to me. So he had to do it over again. It was so unpleasant the first time, then I had to experience it all over again! The anesthesia was dripping to my throat, it tasted bad and it hurt my throat. I don’t understand why his assistant wasn’t so alert to use the suction. I chose to have the temporary retainer but my insurance doesn’t cover it so I had to pay $402! Dr. told me to come back after 3 days for suture removal and for my retainer. When I got there, he told me the extraction site wasn’t healed yet so he cannot remove the suture yet. We tried the retainer, it was ridiculously tight and so uncomfortable. I asked if we can cut it a little bit shorter. He didn’t even ask me how short, when he came back to the room I was shocked at how short he cut it!!! He left only 2 spaces! 95% of the retainer was gone! And for $400!!!! It’s a waste of time and money. To this day no one from the office has checked up on me or have contacted me about the suture removal. Never going back to this dental office.

The treatment always feels very personalized and I know I’m on good hands. Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to Solano Dental clinic since early 2000 with Dr Judy Su as my primary dentist and now her husband Dr Frank Chen. Dr Chen is very diligent and thorough when it comes to dentistry. I had undergone 2 crown replacements lately, although the procedure took several hours, the experience was very much tolerable. Dr Chen's expertise and that of the staff (sorry missed their names) made it easy and comfortable for the patient. They used the very latest in dental technology. Very professional and at the same time friendly staff. They also observed COVID - 19 protocol which made you feel safe and protected. And as always, Dr Chen made a follow up call to make sure you're ok and has no complications. Excellent dental care.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a tooth that suddenly started to give me severe pain.i called and received a emergency appointment for the same day.it was determined that the molar needed to come out,as it was badly decayed.they gave me some antibiotics and did the oral surgery that I needed to remove the tooth.it was quick and relatively painless.i was in at about 2:30 and was finished by 3:40pm.i will use them again to help me with my teeth.i am so thankful for the team -thanks again everyone!

Experiencia fantástica: Although My Mom has only been here for a few visits, I am very impressed with the care and how they treat her with her dental needs. From Dr. Chen to Dr. Mel and the ladies at the front counter (Sonny, Fatima, and Kendall) they all have went above and beyond of taking care of her. The previous dental clinic she used to go to took advantage of her and was very rough with her dental treatments. My Mom is not fluent in English (Filipina), but it makes it so easy with Dr. Mel with relaying everything in Tagalog. Ever since her rough treatment from the previous clinic, she developed a phobia going to any Dental Clinics. Unfortunately, I live out of state and cannot be there for her physically. I am so thankful that the whole Solano Dental Group Staff has kept me in the loop with all her appointments. Both Doctors have personally contacted me via email or by phone before and after her treatments. I am glad we gave them a try and best of all my Mom is finally getting the care that she needs especially with her dentures. I highly recommend this dental practice. They are upfront with the cost and very transparent on how they handle their business. The Doctors are patient-centered care focused and have good bedside manner.

Experiencia fantástica: I came back to Solano Dental even thought they are out of network with my insurance. I tried a couple of in-network office and had terrible experiences. To name a few: Procedures weren't done right. Inexperience and rough doctors. Over aggressive treatment recommendation. Waits were long, sometimes i had to wait an hour or two to be seen. I have had to have some work redone by Dr. Chen at Solano Dental because they weren't done right at my in-network office i went to. The hygienists at the other office would only spend 30 min on my teeth cleaning. On top of that my teeth were hurting after the procedures. On the other hand I never had a bad experience at Solano Dental. Staffs were wonderful and accommodating. Hardly any wait. Doctors only recommend what is needed and they do their work carefully. and the best of all, the works were done expertly and painless.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a root canal about three years ago at Solano Delta Group, and unfortunately the crown broke. I messaged Dr. Chen and he replied right away! He was able to get me seen the next morning on a Saturday! I was treated by Dr. Kim, who was courteous and professional. He explained every step and asked me if I had any questions. The process took about 3 hours. After I had left, later that day, Dr. Kim called me to check to see if I had any pain or discomfort and to see if there were any questions that I had. This experience that could have been a disaster was the very opposite! The care, professionalism, and expedited service totally exceeded my expectations! If you are looking for a great dentist who you can trust and provides excellent care, I advise you to go to Solano Dental Group and see Dr. Chen or Dr. Kim!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been seeing Dr Frank Chen since he acquired this practice 23 years ago. I was being seen by the Hui dental before, the previous owner of the practice. When Dr Chen acquired the practice, the great quality of care continued. The transition was so seamless, I didn't actually know the practice had changed hands. I thought the little boy (Dr Chen) was just helping Dr Hui out. This is a great dental practice. I actually start at Parkside dental in 1986 because they Saturday hours, and moved to Dr Hui because they had mall hours of Sundays and evenings. I have seen an oral surgeon at Parkside for two of my three dental implants. I can't say enough good things about this practice.

Experiencia fantástica: Very professional and pleasant people all around. Excellent dental care. Top notch. (6 months later) I just went in for my very first root canal. GULP! And today, 24 hours later, I can absolutely attest that it was a great big "nothing burger." It was entirely painless. The only thing I noticed, a few seconds after Dr. Mel injected the Lidocaine, was a very slight tingling sensation around the injection site. That was it for the rest of the day. In fact, I wasn't even aware he had started the injection. I absolutely did not feel the needle whatsoever. Now that's what I call skill. And, over all, the procedure was no more for me (as a patient) than a simple filling. After the Lidocaine wore off a couple of hours later, I was perfectly normal. No soreness. No residual pain of any kind. My tooth and gums felt absolutely fine. And today (the next day) there is no indication that I had any dental procedure of any kind. Totally pain-free and back to normal. This was, without a doubt, the very best dental procedure I'd experienced in all my 70 years. Great group of professionals. Well done!

Experiencia fantástica: Take a moment to hear my short story… I am currently living in Florida and I was visiting my hometown (Fairfield, Ca.) to attend a family funeral. I’ve had a little history of one of my molars chipping and it eventually became infected and caused insane levels of pain (down into my jaw bone) and it all became more than I could bare during my short trip. Literally on my last day I couldn’t take it anymore and was desperate to find relief. I called and found Solano Dental Group office inside the Solano Mall and they completely understood my pain and agreed to fit me in as an “emergency visit” without question. They simply needed my name and social to look up my insurance and they would see me as soon as I could get there (I was 10 minutes away). Upon arrival the front staff was very compassionate and helpful and took care of most of my paperwork basics for me in order to help get me back and seen asap. Within 10 minutes after arrival I was already back and Dr. Chen was already reviewing my quick X-ray and going over options… I chose to have it extracted. He made me feel very informed and very confident that I was making the right choice given the severe condition of my tooth. Afterwards I was given the usual numbing and while we let it kick in the passing staff members made sure to check in on me frequently to ask if I needed anything, they brough me a blanket, offered water, and even raised the volume of the movie playing in my stall so that I didn’t have to “only hear the other clients being worked on” they are all so very nice and considerate! During the actual procedure Dr. Chen and his assistant, Maria, we so very careful and caring, always speaking to me to comfort me and informing me of every little thing that was happening to help keep me calm and comfortable. Once all was complete, Dr. Chen didn’t just rush out, he took the time to sit with me and ensure I received and understood the post-care instructions and because I was curious to see my extracted tooth, he took a moment to show me and explain and answer all my inquisitive questions. From there, he gave me his cell phone number and assured me it was fine to call or text him directly if I had any issues or concerns since I was flying back out of town the next day and wouldn’t be able to see him for a 1 week follow up like he’d normally like. I proceeded to pay and check out (with Jessica who is also awesome!) and I’ve been home now in Florida for two days and have been healing up just fine. Without any issues I didn’t see the need to reach out to him as he offered I could but guess what!!! He text me!!! He went out of his way to further show his level of care for his patient and messaged me just to check in and see how I was doing!! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience overall and let me tell you, if you’re like me, you probably don’t like going to the dentist but I can assure you 100% that my visit with Dr. Chen and his amazing team has actually made me WISH I lived closer because I would love to see them again for my other work needed or even just my preventative care/cleanings! I DEFINITELY recommend Dr. Chen and his team at Solano Dental Group for anyone’s dental needs!! Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed, I promise!

Experiencia fantástica: My wife had a 10/10 in pain for an emergency root canal on a Saturday when most dentist offices are closed. My wife's pain has started the day prior. We called several locations advising them she had not slept, ate or drank anything since yesterday due to the pain. On top of this she was 30 weeks pregnant and the pain she was going through had our baby bouncing around due to her anxiety associated with the pain. All of the other locations said they couldn’t do anything for us. We went to Solano Dental Group and they immediately made availability for us even though they had been fully booked for the day. The receptionists were kind, polite, and compassionate. Dr. Chen was amazing, very informative, very carrying and comforting. I would recommend Solano Dental Group to anyone looking for a professional staff that considers the needs of their patients.

No disrespect to my previous dentist, he was great, but Dr. Mel, at Solano Dental is beyond reproach, absolutely remarkable. His work, ethics, and demeanor are of upmost quality. Experiencia fantástica: I had an early appt (9a) and no one told me how to get in the locked mall. When I called; no one answered (9:02a). Not in yet. But they still get 5 stars because Dr. Chen is the kindest, most understanding and compassionate dentist ever. He is a total pro. Dental work is super expensive but I went into debt for $1000 just to have Dr. Chen do 3 fillings, and I'm not sorry. I'm just visiting in Fairfield but I found out Solano Dental group has some kind of plan directly from them. Seems pretty reasonable but most dental insurance is not really worth it. $597 per yr for 3 clngs, 2 fluoride trtmts, all radiographs, exams, oral cancer screenings, periodontal screenings, and more.

Dr. Mel is my main Dentist and I am always more than 100% satisfied with the treatment he performs together with amazing staff members from the front desk to dental assistants. One of the best part also is that they’ll make sure to check with your dental insurance & provide you with estimation ahead of time so you’ll have some type of peace of mind. Best smile guaranteed!

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent customer service from checking in to checking out.. my insurance is out of network.. which means prices quoted can possibly turn out to be more depending on what my insurance covers. I don’t care I will not switch dentist office.. the facility is superb as far as cleanliness.. all machinery and tools brand spanking new.. hygienist especially go above and beyond. So conveniently located right inside the mall. Pleasant experience all around. Been coming to the dentist over 4 years.. as long as I am a patient I will to smile!!! BIG SHOUTOUT TO THE HYGIENIST!!!

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately I must update my review as things drastically took a turn for the worse. Yesterday I had an appointment and I received a text stating that they expected me to show up. Clearly never a way to talk to a customer and when I called to tell them to never text/talk to me like that again, the representative defended their actions and then began to talk over me. I asked for a supervisor and she refused stating that one wasn't available. Unfortunately in good conscience, I can no longer support this business.

I've been seeing him for a fee years now and I would recommend him to anyone who would like to have dental work done within a timely manner, a great deal of concern for your well-being and no judgement.

The place is neat, welcoming, there is a tv for each patient waiting in the treatment room, and the staff is friendly and professional. I was fully informed about the procedures prior and during the care and the needed next step to get healthy and nice teeth. I didn’t feel anything during my 2 extractions... I highly recommend so far!

Experiencia fantástica: Solano Dental is always great about working around my schedule. Just recently, they got me in for a same day emergency appointment. It takes extra time for my mouth to get numb. They are always great about making sure I am completely numb before any necessary procedure. I haven't been able to say that about any of the other 3 dentists I went to prior to being referred to Solano Dental. The staff is incredibly friendly.

Experiencia negativa: I had to put off my appointment a few months ago because care provider was not vaccinated, I made it clear that I didn't want to be seen by anyone who is not vaccinated, I even asked the receptionist at the front desk to put it in my chart. A few days ago I was notified that my appointment would have to be changed because care provider would not be available on Saturday, I agreed and once again made it clear I didn't want to be seen by anyone who is unvaccinated. I was assured my care provider would be vaccinated. I went to my appointment and asked care provider if she was vaccinated, she told me she couldn't tell me because HIPAA prevented it. That is not how HIPPA works, she straight out lied to me, HIPAA didn't prevent her from answering my direct question or declining to answer. I will find another dentist who takes the health of their patients seriously. It's my health and the choice should be up to me if I want to be be exposed in such a vulnerable way by the unvaccinated. They disregarded my request that I only be seen by a vaccinated provider and lied about HIPPA laws

I have really bad anxiety every time I go to the dentist and Dr. Mel made me feel incredibly comfortable. He's very gentle too which I appreciated. Sam kept checking on me, making sure I was ok throughout my cleaning and very knowledgeable with answering all my questions. The ladies up front extremely kind and warm welcoming! So happy I found this place! Today I had a different hygienist, and she was incredibly gentle and kind and knowledgeable.

Dr. Chen is the kindest dentist with years of experience and expertise. The dental hygienists that I've had have all been amazing! Their expert hands leave my teeth feeling fresh and clean with each visit. The office has air filters, hand sanitizers and face masks to keep everyone safe. They also have referrals to local oral surgeons and orthodontists, which I really appreciate. I highly recommend this place! I've been a happy customer for about 5 years now and counting!
