I hadn’t been to the dentist in a while because I had felt judged, embarrassed, and pressured into treatments at my last dentist, but all that anxiety started to slowly (and cautiously) disappear throughout my appointment at Ballard Dentistry. I am incredibly impressed by and grateful to have found them! They were kind, thorough (in cleaning and with education/info), and I left feeling well taken care of. It makes it 10 times worse when the staff or team treat me as a transaction or show no real care or concern for my mental well being. That being said the staff here paticularly the dental assistant Alice and Dr. HE. These ladies are absolutely amazing, experienced and thoughtful. They took their time made sure I was comfortable and made the experinece as good as it could possibly be for what it was. I will highly recommend this office. The ladies in the front at the desk are very friendly and kind as well.

Experiencia fantástica: Ballard Dentistry provided the most exceptional care I have ever received. After having a rough scooter accident that resulted in two chipped teeth and getting turned away from another dentist that wasn't seeing new patients, Ballard Dentistry was able to fit me in within the next hour. Dr. Streiff did a wonderful job re-filling my tooth and my mouth looked (and felt) good as new when I walked out. I later noticed a few minor issues with the filling (retainer not fitting perfectly and a small black mark on the tooth), but Ballard Dentistry always found ways to get them resolved as soon as possible. When they couldn't fix an issue within my allotted appointment time and learned that I was leaving the country the next day, Dr. He and a hygienist generously offered to stay after work to resolve the issue. During every interaction I had with the dentists, hygienists, and reception staff, it was clear that Ballard Dentistry cared deeply about the comfort and wellbeing of their patients. What could have been an incredibly painful and stressful situation was made so easy and comfortable thanks to Ballard Dentistry.

Experiencia negativa: An absolutely horrible experience. They needed to reschedule my dental cleaning and I experienced no less than 22 text messages and 4 phone calls. Borderline harassment… and all just for a dental cleaning appointment. When I arrived, I was told they needed to do x-rays after the dental cleaning. I declined because I am not ok with too many x-rays, especially without good reason… and I have no problems with my teeth. I was provided no explanation for the x-rays. I told the hygienist that I only booked a cleaning and not a dental appointment. That is, I had a check-up at the last appointment. I also asked if they would be doing the X-rays before or after the cleaning. She said after. They had no explanation about why I would need x-rays for a dental cleaning… especially when they would be done after anyway. Overall very dismissive… and the dentist did not bother to come into the room. No apology. Such a waste of my time. The people that work here clearly don’t want to be here and they are unwilling to think through a simple problem. I am going to consult with the state regulatory commission on whether they have run afoul of their code of conduct by refusing all service when I didn’t want x-rays done. I suspect so.

Experiencia fantástica: I have never had an experience with Ballard Dentistry that was less than Exceptional. Dr. Streiff and the entire staff are consummate professionals, but also kind, competent, delightful human beings that always go the extra mile, from picking great music for the waiting room, to ensuring patient comfort with temperature, and monitoring patient pain levels stay within a good range, to ensuring that when I showed up with a migraine I was able to wait in a dim room. Ballard Dentistry goes Above and Beyond. 10 out of 10, Would and often Do Recommend. <3 Btws, after dealing with low-key dental anxiety for years, I feel completely comfortable here. That's how great they are.

They use the latest ultrasonic equipment so the old fashioned scraping is kept to a minimum. Dr. Jing He is very thorough in her exam, and was great at diagnosing what ended up being a root canal problem before it got worse. The front desk staff is always welcoming and calm. There is no reason I would ever think about changing dentists.

Experiencia negativa: Please, don’t be scammed by the good reviews here. Very unprofessional, everyone is so mean and hurt my teeth. First appointment: I come in, they tell me I am late, although I am on time. When I got in, someone came in after 5 minutes and checked my teeth, then I have to wait another 5 minutes for the doctor to come. The doctor checked my teeth and then I have to wait another 15 minutes for a completely different person to come in telling me I need a full deep cleaning. I said this is not what I heard from the doctor, she said only couple teeth needed to be deep cleaned. She said oh ok. After the cleaning, the doctor never came back to check on the treatment and when I go home things doesn’t feel normal. Second appointment for wife: We get called a half hour before the appointment asking about our social security number. I said I don’t provide my SSN and you already have my insurance card number from previous visit. They claimed it isn’t working. I called my insurance and they assured that I should never give my SSN. when we checked in, they asked again for SSN. I said can we validate the insurance information you have is accurate? The card that in the car and I will go grab it. Just let my wife in so she can take her full appointment time and not be late. They said now you pay a full charge or give us the SSN. I said we are your clients, just show some courtesy and we will validate the insurance information in a minute. I didn’t want my wife to be late to her appointment. Now her face became red and telling me we are not welcomed here. All what I asked was to have trust specially I have provided this information in my last appointment and only asked for couple more minutes to go grab my insurance card. In a minute more staff came out and everyone started to mean to us. I continued to get my insurance card so we don’t lose the appointment, and to figure out they do have the correct information claiming they missed a number. I think all of this was to put me under pressure to give my SSN. PLEASE, if you ever gave your SSN to them watch for your credit report. We will never come back.

Experiencia negativa: I had an overall very negative experience with Ballard Dentistry. I visited them a couple times for routine cleaning which went well. But that’s when things started going downhill. They asked me to get some fillings and wanted me to schedule an appointment. I said i needed some time to think about it and would get back after checking my schedule. They nonetheless went ahead and scheduled several appointments on my behalf for the fillings without my consent. I was out of the country at the time of these appointments and when i returned, i started getting messages about no show fees. They would send me messages multiple times a week. They called me one time and when i tried clarifying the situation, they said they would send me to collections agency to retrieve the no show fees. I would not return to this place for my future dental care needs

Experiencia fantástica: Honestly, I’ve always hated going to the dentist. My first visit to Ballard Dentistry was by far my favorite experience. From the helpful and kind front desk staff, transparent pricing, and staff that made me feel comfortable and at ease - it was a pleasant visit. My hygienist and doctor were kind, helpful and explained things in a non-rushed way. I didn’t feel like another face in their endless stream of patients. They took time to give me quality care. Did I mention they use lukewarm water when washing your teeth instead of the usual glacier cold water I’ve always received? They do this specifically because they know many people - myself included - have really sensitive teeth. I’m looking forward to my care with them, which is something I never thought I’d say about a dentist visit. I don’t usually do reviews, but this place deserves it!

Experiencia fantástica: Went in for wisdom teeth removal. Gold standard experience - great communication pre-/post ops, Smooth check-in, and painless extraction. Doctor Jing was professional, efficient, and took great care to communicate every step of her process. It felt more like a collaborative experience than traditional operations. She may not be available for wisdom teeth removal all the time, but when you get her, you would be very lucky Knowing you are in the best hands! I will be formally switching over all of my Dental care to Ballard Dentistry because of this experience.

That’s what distinguishes BD. The hygienist and dentist Kelly listen rather than dictate and were not judgmental considering the sorry state of my mouth. That same day we discussed a treatment plan that clearly laid out what insurance paid and my responsibility. The office was very calming too an added plus. I highly recommend BD.

Experiencia fantástica: I am in Seattle for travel. Last Friday I had a dental implant done back in my home state and I was still feeling some discomfort and pain. I called Ballard Dentistry and they were able to see me that same morning. The doctor did the review, cleaned up the area and re stitched me, and also gave me a plan B if the pain doesn’t resolve by tomorrow. I really appreciate the clinic’s availability to see me same day, the doctor’s expertise, and providing me a plan B if it doesn’t resolve. The doctor gave me peace of mind and I highly recommend Ballard Dentistry.

Experiencia negativa: I visited this dentist after graduating and not having dental insurance while in school for a few years, which led to some dental issues. I have naturally-reddish hair, which often means I need more numbing agent. The first time I went in, I kept saying that I could feel what they were doing and they tried to make me feel stupid, saying that I was imagining it. Finally they believed me and said that I "should have said something". Another visit had the dentist leaning her whole weight on my jaw, which caused it to slip out of place. I had lockjaw for days after, and my jaw still slips in and out of place which it had NEVER done previously. When I mentioned that, they claimed it happened *shrug* (I have never experienced that before ever, other dentists ask me to open my mouth if they need me to open wider). This happened again, at another visit, which gave me a full-on panic attack, and they all talked about my "dentist anxiety". I have never in my entire life felt anxiety about a dentist until visiting this dentist office. I was also shamed for the condition of my teeth, which is largely due to bad enamel issues I have had since childhood, and given a crown that is uneven on the top and hits my other teeth in a weird way, because they kept having me bite down in an unnatural way (which I told them was not my natural bite at the time). A couple of the assistants or hygienists were good, but I will NEVER go back to this dentist. Imagine paying thousands of dollars for someone to ignore all your attempts to advocate for yourself, and then to mess up your jaw, and do shoddy work. No thank you. EDIT: The office's idea of fixing their mistakes is to send me a text saying they replied to my review. There has been no attempt to actually mend anything or accept responsibility in any meaningful way other than lip service. EDIT 2: After I told them I would be consulting a lawyer, they attempted to get me back into their office to "fix" things (as if I would go back to the place that messed up so badly in the first place). Highly DO NOT recommend. They will do an awful job, then treat you like garbage (see screenshots).

Experiencia fantástica: Had a very comfortable first visit. The dentist and her team did everything possible to make sure their work was thorough, complete and understood. There was no pain and their appointment schedule allowed for me to come in before the workday. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Knowledgeable, friendly, answer questions, care about doing extremely good work and care about their patients. I was pretty nervous my first time in and they took time with me, and eased my fears.

Experiencia negativa: The dental hygienist was wonderful! I wish she would work at my new Dental Office. The communication here is very poor and not having the dentist in office and asking clients after they are in the chair for their cleaning if that’s okay and that they will need to come back is unacceptable and disrespectful to anyone’s time.

Experiencia fantástica: Today was my first visit to Ballard Dentistry, (they have seen my kids and had great success) and to say I’m apprehensive about going to the dentist would be an understatement. But today’s visit was both pleasant and effective. They were Very professional while making me feel comfortable to give my input, together we came up with a plan to get my mouth back in great shape. I feel like I’ve found a dentist I can trust, with a team that knows where I’m coming from and skills to get the job done. Thank you Ballard Dentistry! Experiencia fantástica: I have had phenomenal experiences at Ballard Dentistry! Dr. Streiff, the technicians, and the receptionist are kind, informative, and just plain good at their jobs. The atmosphere is very calming. I really like that. I recently had a bit of a dental emergency and they made me a priority. That means a lot to me. I am grateful to have found a great dentist in Seattle and highly, highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve always had a hard time at the dentist because of throat abnormalities, but my experience today with Dr. He was anything but hard.
