Fantastic experience: My first experience at Dr. Armento’s office today was wonderful! From the cozy fireplace in the waiting room, which immediately made me feel warm and relaxed, to the very nice and welcoming receptionist, everyone made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. Kristina, the hygienist, was very pleasant and professional, and Dr. Armento took the time to carefully review all my X-rays. He was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and detail-oriented throughout my visit. I truly felt that I was in the hands of a team of dedicated professionals. Another thing I really appreciated was that no one made me feel guilty about not flossing enough or gave me the kind of reproachful comments you sometimes hear at dental offices. Instead, the entire experience was positive, respectful, and reassuring. I highly recommend Dr. Armento and his team!

Negative experience: I have been receiving dental care from this facility for the past four years and have not had any issues. However, this review is about the bad experience I had last week, as a result of the lack of care expressed by the dental hygienist. Last week, I was seen by the dental hygienist, Christina C. who first, forced me to take X-rays when there was nothing wrong with my teeth (this was later confirmed by the Doctor as well). After I disagreed, Christina then asked with a forceful attitude that I take X-rays, saying that the last time they were taken was 1 ½ years ago. Personally, I don’t like to take X-rays, unless there is a problem. The past X-rays hadn’t revealed any problems, and so I believe that my teeth are pretty healthy. However, in my effort to put an end to the pressure from Christina, I agreed saying, “Ok, let’s take them today, because I don’t want to deal with this again.” Then, she got her tools and began taking X-rays of my teeth from all different angles. Even though taking them was uncomfortable, I patiently waited till she did her job. However, after completing several rounds, next, she poked that tool again into the left bottom of my mouth. I am sure she saw the painful look on my face at that moment, yet she kept forcing the tool into my mouth, without even asking how I felt; then, because the tool couldn’t go any further, she pulled it out, at which point I said, “there’s no more room there for it.” With absolutely no concern at all, she forced the tool back again into my mouth saying, “No… there is room.” Seriously? How much more insensitive could she get? Then, immediately at her second attempt, my eyes flooded with tears, because of how painful it was. It is only then, that she decided to skip that section, and take the rest of the X-rays. When we walk into a medical facility, we don’t expect medical professionals to be so insensitive. I am both surprised and disappointed about the way I was treated. Dr. Armento and his staff are wonderful people, and I hope Christina could get their support, to learn to be more sensitive to the patients’ needs and choices.

Negative experience: Had a root canal removed and the dentist cracked the tooth next to it was and removed without me knowing, Leaving a very large gap. His receptionist acted like nothing had happened and would not give me the x-rays as my proof. Definitely malpractice. Would not recommend this office

Fantastic experience: After a bad motorcycle mishap I was left with titanium plates and screws in my jaw and a cosmetic mess in my mouth. For some time I couldn’t even open my mouth to smile from embarrassment. After a few visits with Dr. Armento and his awesome staff, my teeth look better than they ever did! Armento dentistry gave me my smile back and I couldn’t recommend them more. I feel the pricing was reasonable and the work outstanding! The entire staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. I have had extreme dentist anxiety my entire life and I can remarkably say that Dr. Armento & his staff changed that for me. Dr. Armento takes incredible care of his patients, thoroughly explaining the process/options and talking you through the procedure. He is completely transparent and truly has his patients‘ best interest in mind. Their front desk is amazing as well. Anna is always exceptionally kind and helpful, working with me to find a time that fits my busy schedule. The dental assistants also made my experience a breeze. Particularly, Tabitha was patient and kind with me as a very nervous patient! Overall, Dr. Armento has completely changed my perspective on going to the dentist to a positive and uplifting experience! Most importantly, he has performed impeccable work on fillings, a root canal and crowns. All procedures were painless and went seamlessly. I have not had a single issue following any procedures which is something I experienced often with previous dentists! I am very grateful to Dr. Armento and his team!

Fantastic experience: After going to a dentist in Montville for many years, they sold the practice. Suddenly so many things were wrong with my teeth and so much work had to he done. At the same time I started having more “problems” with more teeth and the work being done was causing me pain. After realizing I didn’t trust the practice anymore, I switched to Dr. Armento on a suggestion from a friend. He is honest and fixed all my work and I’m finally not in pain! Had my first cleaning yesterday and the hygienist was wonderful and thorough. I highly recommend this practice!
