Dental Oasis - Mary Inku, DDS & Dr. Chris Myung, DMD

Fantastic experience: Dr. Inku is an excellent dentist. She is thorough and knowledgeable and takes time for every patient. The Dental Oasis staff is great too. I’ve been going to Dr Inku for several years and she has always been kind and made sure my experience was pain free.

Fantastic experience: My filling popped out while flossing. Finding a dentist that cares is so hard. The last 2 I saw felt like an assembly line at a factory and I was there just to give them $. From the start , the office staff were very welcoming. Then Dr. Myung came in and he was just incredible.!I ended up having to get a root Canal , but when I tell you was virtually painless, I mean it is. Thank you so much and after searching high and low, I think my husband and I found our new dental office. Thank you Dental Oasis.

I can't pass without thanking Naomi, the hygienist who worked on my second dental cleaning. Fantastic experience: The front desk are super friendly and wonderful. There is always parking and I've never waited more than few minutes. Lisa has been cleaning my teeth the last two times and she is thorough, patient, and so lovely. Dr. Inku introduced herself on my first visit and was friendly, personable, took her time and I feel confident that she will handle issues if and when they arise. I have one crown she looked at and told me to use the night guard to avoid cracking further and thereby avoiding a replacement too soon. I've been going for 1.5 years and I plan on continuing. This place is a gem. I feel fortunate to have found them.

After a few minutes of updating my medical history, I was escorted to the exam room and greeted there by the dental hygienist, Lisa. She did an excellent job on cleaning my teeth and gave me advice on keeping my smile. My consultation with Dr. Inku was very well as always. She is very patient, thorough and attentive.

Negative experience: Appointment was set for 11am, I arrived at 11:02. I wasn’t called in UNTIL 11:58 they sat me in a room at 12:05 they took my X-rays. Waited some more time dentist came in gave me a 2-3 min consult, he said would get a cleaning but at 12:25 someone else came in and said to go to the front for check out. When I asked about the cleaning she said they had to go to lunch and the dentist has more appointments. I was STILL CHARGED a $50 appointment fee. I told the receptionist this and she said “I was to the side I have no idea what’s going on up here”. I’d like to mention I am a new patient and was so excited to find a dentist so close to me and and highly dissatisfied, took time off work for nothing.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been trying to stay away from dentist since I had a horrible experience as a child so I was traumatized. 6 years later I knew it was time to go for a visit…. WOW JUST WOW. The service surpasses my expectations. They are amazing. Everyone there is so welcoming and friendly! The doctors know what they are doing and kept checking on me if I was doing good. This office deserves all the praise for being amazing thank you all for changing my experience. Definitely recommend this place too everybody :)

My appointment date April 5, 2021 was my Birthday . Do to COVID 19 Season and all the other unusual things that comes with that. Face covering, Zoom Meetings , Take Out Orderings, Keeping 6 Feet of Distance , No Touching or Huggins, Nope . All of those Caring Friendships Humanity kindness normal life stuff is Out the Window. However my Cleaning was done ✔️ with a little Bad News thrown at Me. My after meals and Night water picking seems to be lacking? I was told Yup! I promised I would improve in that Area. Yup! However Dr. Inku had me in this Kind of Small Talking Conversation? That’s when the entire staff came out and said HAPPY BIRTHDAY with a Card n Gift . Messed a Brother Up. I wanted to Pick them all up in my Arms and KISS One by One! However that did not Happen. But I felt like it did. What an amazing and Caring group of Women. Yup! Leadership Matters.

Negative experience: Beware of Dr. Unku's front desk staff trying to get you to pay for your "Ameritas" insurance coverage fee because they are no longer part of the insurance provider network. Check the website. I was so disappointed in this deception that I am no longer going to this office. Check the Cigna website and you will see that Dr. Unku has had disciplinary action taken. I followed Dr. Unku from another dental office when she opened her own office but because of the deception I will no longer use her services. It's sad because she's a good dentist but I refuse to be cheated out of my dental benefits.

Especially after moving to LA and having a bad experience with a dentist last year. I'm glad to finally say I no longer dread dentist visits as I know I'm in good hands! Negative experience: My experience was great at the day of my appointment staff friendly beautiful place. I didn’t have any cavities I just had the cleaning Dr suggested that I have removed the silver filings and replace them with porcelain. I greet and was very excited. My disappointment was the first week when every time I eat I noticed My bite was out place. If I not careful I bite my self. I didn’t have that before. I know she did something wrong. I scheduled an appointment with the same Dr Didn’t really care she try smooth down my teeth and didn’t work. I scheduled another appointment with different Dr at the same office and he try to fix it with no good results. He try to convince me all it was done right. I never have this problem before. So disappointed none of the two Drs Fixed the phone problem. I do not recommend this place.

Positive experience: The actual cleaning and examination was a 5. Dr. Shen explained what she was doing, was very considerate of any discomfort, and explained what she was discovering throughout the process. The only concern that I had was the post-review with Dr. Inku. It was confusing as to what was being recommended. We went through my records but afterwards I wondered if the changes were severe enough to warrant a laser treatment or extraction. It would have been helpful to have a model to demonstrate my dental needs or to have a short write-up or an email for review and later discussion. Of course, this is going above and beyond what normally takes place with a dentist but it would have made the whole experience a 5 instead of a 4.
