Fantastic experience: I am an adult with a tongue thrust that was never treated, and it moved my teeth so much I had to have braces again. Culver City Orthodontics helped me get set up with speech therapy first to fix the tongue thrust which was never offered before and then fixed my bite! They did a great job and even though I was dismayed to have braces again, it was a wonderful experience with them and their compassionate staff! I would highly recommend treatment with them!

I came to them at 33 years old after finally making the decision to transform my smile after decades of dealing with impacted and severely crooked teeth. Something I had been nervous and self-conscious about for years suddenly became something I was excited about. I started treatment at the end of 2024, and from day one, they created a masterful plan to transform my smile. My case was not simple and required coordination between dentists, orthodontists, and an oral surgeon. Culver City Orthodontics helped guide me through the entire process and referred me to an incredible oral surgeon who became an important part of my treatment. What truly sets this team apart is how deeply they care about their patients and their craft. About eight months into my braces journey, I was getting married and was incredibly nervous about having braces in my wedding photos. Dr. Valerie and Dr. Borenstein came up with a plan to temporarily remove my braces and fit me with a retainer so that I could smile confidently on my wedding day. That gesture meant more to me than I can put into words. I will forever be grateful to them for going above and beyond to make such an important moment in my life even more special. Every time I walk into their office, I am greeted with warmth and treated like family and in all honesty, they truly do feel like family at this point. Our 18 year old required jaw surgery for their severe underbite and Culver City Ortho lead the charge in getting them ready for the operation. They work with precision and everything is very very clean sun filled offices and staff that really seems to like their jobs which on and of itself is refreshing!! The doctors took the time to find a treatment option that worked for both my orthodontic goals and my allergy. After years of wanting braces, I am so thankful to have finally found a treatment that works for me and I am very satisfied with how my treatment is progressing! Dr. Borenstein pays attention to detail and is incredibly meticulous about her work. She always explains what she is doing and takes the time to answer any questions I have. It's clear that she genuinely cares about providing the best care possible. Not only does she treat her patients well, but her positive interactions with the team do not go unnoticed. With such a large office staff, they work together like a well-oiled machine! All of the assistants are also so nice, friendly, and willing to jump in wherever necessary to help each other out. They are very personable and easy to talk to! On top of that, the office is also very accommodating with my busy schedule, whether it's being patient with finding a time that works for me or fitting me in for emergencies. My schedule is often changing and the team is always so gracious when I need to reschedule. They make every appointment so quick and efficient that it's almost a bummer they're so short because the office is so nice and relaxing that sometimes I wish I could stay a little longer! Overall, I am so grateful I finally took the time to do something I've wanted for so long and I'm even more grateful I chose to do it at Culver City Orthodontics! Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at this orthodontic office. As a person of color, I felt that I was treated differently throughout my visit and experienced what I perceived as microaggressions that made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. What was especially concerning was that I was quoted a significantly different price than a friend of mine, who is white and also Jewish, ovisited the same office just last month for comparable treatment. The difference left me questioning whether I was being treated fairly. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, professionalism, and consistent pricing regardless of their race, ethnicity, or background. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I cannot recommend this practice based on how I was treated. My friend will not be returning as well!

Fantastic experience: Finding an orthodontist in Los Angeles, even if just on west side or Culver City, is a daunting task. I did my research, looked at my options, and gave the most weight to word of mouth- 3 different friends who had great experiences here at Culver City Orthodontics. Everyone has been lovely and constantly try to make my life easier since I have twins. Thank goodness they send a text reminder! I would have missed every single appointment. Here are the best things 1: Yes the people are exceptional. Dr. Valerie is so communicative and makes you feel you’re the only one in the room when she speaks to you. Vanessa is loved by both of my kids- talks easily and so friendly. Meira at the desk is a DREAM. Actually seems like she enjoys her job! Rare find in my appointment making experience! 2: They make it so easy for you. EASY! I can drop off my young teens. They’ve also walked from school. I’m only needed to okay the next appointment or to speak to doc after appointment. 3. Appointments are usually quick, everything is already explained to my kids, so when it gets to me, quick overview like when they started wearing rubber bands. I didn’t need to oversee it or make sure it was being done at home- how cool is that? 4. I’ve seen people who want more information/reassurance or just have extra questions. The staff meet you where you are. Most importantly they always lead with kindness. In the 2 years of appointments, I’ve never once witnessed anything but happy grownups and chill kiddos. We’re getting the braces off in about 4 weeks. It’s been an absolutely pleasure and such a positive experience. Not at all like when I was a kid! Thank you, CC Orthodontics!! You are the best!

Fantastic experience: This review is long overdue. I drive from Porter Ranch and have no dental insurance. I started out with Dr. Fell many years ago for my treatment and brought my kids in for treatment with Dr. Borenstein. Both are AMAZING and that’s why we do the drive. Conservative, honest, great chair side manner and we just feel comfortable being there. Their prices are very reasonable and the staff works with you. The office is high tech, up to date, clean, the staff is super friendly, makes kids feel comfortable and adults welcome. I can’t say enough good things about them. I would drive further if I had to because I trust them 100% for my family and myself. Thank You Dr. Fell and Dr. Borenstein for giving us confident smiles. I know you make a lot of people happy with their smiles.

My kids primarily see Dr. Borenstein and I couldn’t be more pleased with her excellent care, attention to detail and our results to date. With three kids and several phases of orthodontic work, we are regulars at CCO. Dr. Fell, Dr Hernandez and all the technicians are also fantastic, we have been cared by them all. The CCO team works seamlessly together so you can really get seen by any of the doctors. The office is beautiful and comfortable, the staff is warm, welcoming and quick to respond. Making and changing appointments is easy, they are very accommodating even offering Saturday appointments. I found that their fees are in line with LA orthodontists, a little less actually when we first began. They have flexible payment plans and aside from a very minimal broken retainer replacement cost, there has never been additional fees or surprise costs. Dr. Borenstein is extremely skilled and thorough and offers to correct every little space and detail so my kids teeth are as perfect as possible.Two of them are now essentially done and their smiles look fantastic. We drive from Encino to Culver City and I can honestly say that Culver City Orthodontics is absolutely worth it!

Every single person is genuinely lovely — the receptionists are warm, friendly, and make scheduling and rescheduling so easy. The techs and assistants are kind and efficient, and all three doctors are professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely lovely. I see any of the 3 and feel comfortable seeing either Dr. Borenstein, Dr. Fell or Dr. Valerie. You can tell they trust each other and really work seamlessly as a team. They are so communicative which greatly helps when you are undergoing multi stages of treatments. They are gentle and take the time to clearly explain every step, which I was grateful for, especially for my kids. They even guided me through having a major jaw surgery from start to finish — recommending an incredible surgeon and supporting me throughout the entire healing process all the way to the end result. I always felt informed, cared for, and completely supported. Their office uses impressive high-tech equipment and advanced computer programs, which makes the whole process so smooth and efficient. They really know what they’re doing! And when I finished my treatment, they surprised me with a bottle of champagne to celebrate! It was so thoughtful and sweet We feel so lucky to have found them. Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about CCO!! Dr. B and her team literally changed my life. I had a pretty extensive case getting an adult SARPE (surgical assisted rapid palate expander). My surgeon at Kaiser (Dr. Tehrany) was able to communicate with Dr. B and they worked on my treatment plan together. After 3 years, I can breathe out of my nose now, I have room for my tongue in my mouth and can swallow properly. Those are all things that can’t be seen, but after vaneers at Patel Dentistry, I can say my outside smile looks as good as all the interior changes feel! I trust the whole team with my smile and am so happy I chose them to do this journey with me. The front desk staff was always incredibly accommodating and kind. The techs were knowledgeable, capable, and personable. And the doctors explained things so well and were honest. Fantastic experience: Dr. Borenstein and Dr. Fell are the kindest people we have met in a long time. We were visiting from Tampa, FL when our daughter started feeling a poke from her wire. She has had that before and it gets pretty rough on her cheeks. So, I called after hours and left a message requesting an appointment even though we are not existing patients. Dr. Borenstein called back almost immediately and not only gave us an appointment for the next day, but she also guided us on how to put wax in a manner that she could spend the night without pain. Next morning, Dr. Fell attended to my daughter and ensured that she was really taken care of. Their kindness and attention to detail was so phenomenal. Fantastic experience: I think this is my first time leaving a Google review, but I have had SUCH an incredible experience with the Culver City Ortho team that I have to sing their praises! My teeth were a difficult case - I had an open bite and have different sized jaws, and 5 other orthodontists told me I would need jaw surgery and metal braces in order to fix my bite. I am so glad I found Dr. Borenstein at Culver City Ortho, who was empathetic to my preferences to avoid surgery and visible orthodontia, and was able to close my bite completely using Invisalign (something the other orthodontists said would not be possible). Very grateful to be able to chew with all of my teeth again, and appreciative of the amazing care, empathy, and patience I've received from Dr. Borenstein, Dr. Fell, Dr. Mullen, and all the other staff over the past couple years. (Special shoutout to Dr. Mullen for being so kind and accommodating of my tooth sensitivity the other day when removing my attachments!) Fantastic experience: I was very self conscious of my smile because my lower incisors were slightly crooked since college. But after starting my Invisalign treatment last year, I have been extremely satisfied with my treatment progress. My oral hygiene has also gone up and I love my new smile! Invisalign requires dedication and compliance from the patient. Initially I wasn't wearing my aligners regularly but once I made it a rigid habit, it became second nature and it feels weird when I'm not wearing my aligners. Plus no one can tell that I am wearing aligners, the only people who have recognized them are those wearing them too. It's bittersweet that I'm almost done with my treatment and will miss coming here for treatment. My only regret is not starting my Invisalign journey sooner! Fantastic experience: It was an absolute pleasure working with Dr. Borenstein’s office. We had a patient who moved to our area and her phase 1 results by Dr. Borenstein were beautiful. Dr. Borenstein’s office facilitated the transfer to our office seemlessly, which does not happen often with orthodontic transfer cases. If I have any cases moving to Los Angeles, I am definitely recommending this office!

Negative experience: Dr fell is a nightmare avoid being scheduled with her at all costs. She is rude and too old to be working. When she did IPR she hurt me by sliding the sand paper forcefully into my gums and when I put my invsialign trays back on they were FULL OF BLOOD. Unfortunately they always schedule you with Dr. Fell because she is unpopular. Here's all my reasons why I did not have a good experience: Dr Park was my preferred doctor and what happened to him? My treatment plan was never explained to me, It was a complete surprise to get 10+ attachments all over my mouth, MULTIPLE buttons, and rubber bands Dr Fell is did IPR so harshly and she hurt me by sliding the sand paper forcefully into my gums so hard that when I put my trays back on they filled with blood I raised concerns about one tooth not coming down into place and Dr. Fell said "wow a stubborn tooth on a stubborn patient" I also explained I didn't want to do another set of refinements because they are annoying and Dr. Fell said "NEITHER DO WE" They wasted my time making me come back multiple times, once to get a stronger rubber band then 2 weeks later to cut a wing into the tray. The same tooth still did not move to close the gap perfectly I waited roughly 30 minutes at my last appointment to be seen Assistants are openly complaining about Dr. Fell in front of me in spanish about polishing off my attachment glue and there is still attachment glue on one tooth. One said ¿Por qué tengo que hacerlo? to another which means why do I have to do it? She broke a drill during the removal of attachment glue and said "If the office is mad let them be mad, we need to order another drill

The staff in the office helped keep me organized with his treatment with appt reminders and help scheduling future appointments. Everyone was so friendly. The doctors and assistants are first class and really care about their patients. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our son’s treatment and his smile :) We’ll be back when it’s time for our daughter to get braces.

Fantastic experience: Culver City Ortho is the crème de la crème of orthodontics. The service is top-notch. The ladies at the front desk are welcoming. The ortho assistants are great. I always ask for Kathy because she’s really nice and patient during my visits. Dr. B and Dr. Fell are great with my overall treatment. My teeth situation with having to create space for implants and correct my overall bite would intimidate most orthodontists but not Dr. Fell and Dr. B. If for whatever reason i moved out of state (which I wouldn’t LOL), I would personally fly in town for my visits. That’s how great Culver City Ortho is. 5 stars any day of the week!
