Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience here with the modern dentistry especially with Carina helping me out she is the best !! Made me feel welcome and was super happy with my outcome and overall experience ! I definitely recommend ☺️

Fantastic experience: Today's visit was a good experience. Thank you FOR ANY INFORMATIO, try dentists who they call them high end dentist and I am telling you, all they think is to make money of you with giving long list of issues. So far I find this office is not just about making money but care about pts. I promise they will be rewarded.

Fantastic experience: Had crown and tooth pulled. They started implant procedure. Everything went well no pain. Was very happy with entire staff. Dr Melakani was very efficient and got the procedure done without any problems. This was my first visit have a couple more to complete the process.

Negative experience: My appointment started over 30 minutes late. Multiple people came in saying someone would be coming, but no one did for a long time until they eventually moved me into a different room. They also constantly try and upsell me to get more intense cleanings or other things that I know I do not need. They make it sound as though it is your only option, but that is very inaccurate.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Dr. Kennedy was great! Going in on day one for a consolation to getting an extraction and inplant started the same day. The front desk was nice and respectful. Prisila and Corina were so helpful with questions I had. Cierra was amazing too. She was so welcoming, funny, and great at checking in on me.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Melakani is the best! She was very kind and attentive to my care. The hygienist Silvano was also really great. He took the time to help with gum prevention and gave great recommendations. I would reccomend.

Negative experience: Where do I start?….I had a bad tooth issue and was in pain. I was FORCED into a procedure to have a root canal and crown done. I’m very disappointed with the crown also! WHAT THEY PUT IN MY MOUTH ISN’T MY TOOTH! Also when taking the mold for my tooth. The mold is only supposed to be in your mouth for 5 mins MAX they left it on my bottom jaw for 1 WHOLE HOUR i remember this specificity bc it was cuttin the inside of my lip and it was uncomfortable the entire time. When they came in and tried to remove it, THE MOLD WAS STUCK ON MY TEETH. When I say I was forced into this procedure… the dentist came in and sat next to me and told me some scary story about needing the tooth. They continued this elaborate story about how much they cared for me and how fast they could get the canal and crown done. I told them all I could afford was the extraction. They refused to let me have the tooth extracted. I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN UP AND LEFT. Nobody would listen to me…..So instead of leaving I signed a mountain of paperwork to release the liability on their end. Needless to say I contracted a LIFE CHANGING DISEASE from this series of 5 appointments. They couldn’t even get the root canal done in one appointment….. ASK GOOGLE HOW LONG A ROOT CANAL TAKES? I tried to talk to the office manager about settling for a lower payment bc I knew they had to make something. SHE SCOFFED AT ME AND TOLD ME THEY NO LONGER HAVE LIABILITY….. WHAT DO YOU MEAN!? SO THE STUFF YOU DID TO ME ISN’T YOUR FAULT? EVEN THO ANY AMOUNT OF BRAIN ACTIVITY WOULD SAY THE DENTIST WORKS ON TEETH!!! SHE WAS NOT HELPFUL…… SUPRISE! NOW THEY SOLD MY INFO TO A BUNCH OF PEOPLE AND I AM GETTING SUED! MY LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME I WILL NOW HAVE TO ATTEND A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT MULTIPLE TIMES A MONTH FOR THIS. THEY NEVER CHANGED THE NEEDLE WHEN ADMINISTERING LOCAL ANESTHETIC. THE DENTIST WOULD TRY AND NUMB ME THEN GET UP AND GO TO THE NEXT BAY FOR 45 MINS THEN COME BACK AND PICK THE SAME NEEDLE UP AND INJECT MORE ANESTHETIC. HOPEFULLY THE DENTIST SEES THIS AND REACHES OUT TO ME TO HELP SETTLE THIS ISSUE BC THE OFFICE MANAGER CLEARLY ISN’T FOR THE PATIENTS. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE. Please please please please don’t go here. I AM CURRENTLY WORKING WITH THE ADA TO FIND A SOLUTION TO THIS

Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency dental consult and treatment after an accident on a Saturday, and I found El Segundo Modern Dentistry through an online search. They were able to get me in the same day, which was a huge relief. Ashley at the front office was incredibly helpful and kind, especially when it came to accommodations and explaining costs. Dr. Malekani was very thorough in her evaluation and took the time to clearly explain my treatment, follow-up care, and possible outcomes. I also had family members with me, and the staff was welcoming and considerate toward them as well. I’m very grateful for the care and support I received during a stressful situation.

Actually care about your teeth and comfort. Have good music to distract you with. The assistants and very gentle as well! Help you out with payments. I definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: They are very patient. I was extremely nervous about finances since my insurance does not cover treatment. Dr. Sherf didn't rush me on any decision and was able to drop the price significantly and get me on a plan that I would afford. I wasn't embarrassed, I felt like the staff here was equally as frustrated about the insurance situation and very understanding. I'm looking forward with treatment instead of dreading it.

I needed work done on four different teeth, and they were able to complete everything the same day, which was incredibly convenient and impressive. Dr. Kennedy and the front staff team were professional, efficient, and made the entire process smooth. I didn’t have to wait long at all, and they provided a detailed breakdown of all costs, clearly explaining what was covered by my insurance. I really appreciated the transparency. The office is located in El Segundo and they’re open every other Saturday, which is what initially drew me in. That flexibility makes scheduling so much easier with a busy weekday schedule. Cost-efficient, high-quality work, and excellent customer service. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend them!

Negative experience: Don’t expect an easy time obtaining your dental records from them. They’ll ignore or circumvent if you try in person or by phone. I just served them a formal request, I had to actually call for their business email since they intentionally do not list it on their website. They have 15 days to handover all my records by law - and trust I will take action across multiple channels if request isn’t fulfilled.

Fantastic experience: I had an inlay done because i had a cavity so they put a temporary crown, it was hurting alot so i called and they let me know to tell the dentist if it still hurts before they put on the permanent crown so they can do a root canal before placing it but if i get it placed and they have to break it then i pay extra. I let the dentist know and said i was having alot of pain but they told me “well lets give it a week and if it still hurts come back”. Update: Thankfully the manager Ashley was so kind and caring to give me a call and have me come in to check on my tooth, no charge i will add, i feel much better knowing that they care about their dentists and patients

Fantastic experience: I found them while I was scrolling on instagram and didn’t know that I was going to choose the right dental office for me to fix my teeth with braces and make my smile even more beautiful. If you can’t pay all at once, they also help with getting you approved for payments so that you could get the work that you need done for your teeth. Fantastic experience: Chipped a tooth three days before Christmas and they were able to fit me in same day for a crown repair. Dr. Kennedy is great!

Negative experience: Very disappointing experience. We were told in advance the visit would be $20 and a simple resin repair would start around $200. Instead, unnecessary exams were done without explaining costs, and we were later told the total was $1,500. On top of that, my husband was asked if he was from Cuba or Venezuela, implying he wouldn’t understand the prices here. This comment was inappropriate and offensive. Lack of transparency and respect. Not recommended.

And with even better results as I was able to start treatment same day. The staffing was very welcoming, Dr constantly checked in to ensure I was comfortable during my procedure. It's been a two-year journey and I'm at the end of a complicated treatment plan that was so well executed and by the team at El Segundo Modern Dentistry, the best dentist in El Segundo. Before we started, I was so confused about how to fix my teeth and get them looking great. Dr. Sherf knew exactly what to do. Her experience and support really helped me to do the Invisalign right and get me motivated throughout the whole time. They are gentle, patient, professional, experienced, and their prices are super fair. I would give 10-stars if I can. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I left another dentist in the middle of a reconstruction of all my upper teeth after he moved to North California. There was an uphill climb of work that still needed to be done. Jennifer really took the time to make sure that I was comfortable with my temporary crowns and was incredible kind, even after me needing to adjust previous work done. I will request Jennifer and Dr. Duarte (spelling?) every appointment moving forward. Both were very thoughtful and gentle! I had two back to back days of 3+ hours at the dentist and they were incredibly patient with me needing to take breaks and my overall comfort level. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had such a wonderful experience at El Segundo Modern Dentistry. From the front desk staff, to the assistants, to the doctors, everyone was so kind and helpful. I previously had developed a small phobia for the dentist and put off going (not recommended) so happy I found them. My process was smooth, comfortable, and stress free. Every step of the way they explained what was happening, what I needed to do to prevent other occurrences, and have been very communicative with following up. It really helps feeling like the doctor and everyone really cares. Definitely found my dental home! Thank you all for taking my such great care of me!

Negative experience: Was a nice office but went in for tooth pain and after they filled a cavity I still had tooth pain which they investigated but came up with nothing. I visited another dentist and they had missed an infection and sclerotic dentin which I need a root canal for now. Not thorough

Negative experience: Office charged me for more than the services provided. When I pointed out the difference they indicated they would not refund it to me unless I sign an agreement. They also took that opportunity to tell me for the first time of an outstanding balance of $500+ from my last visit, claiming the insurance company did not pay what they estimated. They asked me to reach out to insurance regarding the balance, which I have never had to do and that the reason they did not follow up on the outstanding balance prior to finding out on my 2nd visit is "they don't like to call or send an invoice, they want to let us know on the next visit". Terrible business practices and disappointed. The doctors and dental hygienists were great so I'm truly disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff, Dr kwok has helped me with wisdom tooth removal. Came in with a lot of pain and was able to be taken care of the day off.

I can’t say enough about this team and their CONSISTENCY in performance (no jinxing )! From Day 1, Ashley - Office Manager/Finance made me feel like I was the only patient she had to take care of… she pulled off miracles to get me approved for lines of Credit Priscilla the receptionist, she’s put up with my need to reschedule a few times and tardies . Susan and Melanie, BEST DENTAL TECHS EVER Amazing attitudes, seem like the like their jobs, and can juggle all being put on them while making me feel like the most important part of their duties George, he has an incredible eye and is working hard to perfect his craft, which is in the aesthetics arena. Early on, I even had a regional manager step in to do save me during when I came in for an emergent apt. He did a phenomenal job tho. I had ‘no idea’ until I requested him again for something,that he was with Corp. Anyhow I’m only conveying my take on Modern Denistry because I’ve spent a lot of time and money there over the last few months. I’m sure you can find a less expensive treatment plan… but what will you look like in the end? Do you feel your oral health is in good hands? Do you feel like you’re treated with respect and appreciated? Obviously the senior positions at Corp GET IT! They must trust who they hire, because this staff can think and act on their own common sense, compassion and professionalism. RARE ability to listen to patient and responds with appropriate action. For what it’s worth, I’ve had over 50k in dental work in 4 diff US states over the last 22 years. And far too many surgeries to list. Therefore, I say with great humility, I believe my opinion is worthy of public consideration! As a “professional patient” I would add this tip. If you are sensitive to gums getting sliced or extractions (not infected) be sure YOU can take care of your pain on your own. If you have surgery or in depth services… OTC, heat and ice did not do a thing for 4 days. Eventually a script for 1 day of relief was ordered. So like I said, be sure you’re covered before signing up for 13k of dental work… and you cant exactly change course mid stream. But the entire staff made it possible!! Love these guys

Fantastic experience: The dentist here made me feel so comfortable during my deep cleaning. It was truly amazing how she talked with me step by step on what she was doing and materials I can use to take better care of my oral health. They’re all very nice and polite. SUPER CLEAN dental office as well!

Negative experience: I was there for 3 hours and they could not help me after waiting so long. I had tooth pain and went there to extract them but they wanted to extract and give me a crown on the opposite side, made no sense! They just wanted me to finance so they could make there money! They didn’t care that I was in pain. Then they sent the wrong medication to pharmacy so not only did I have to wait there for nothing but then I had to wait for meds to be sent again because they were to busy even after I had waited patiently that whole time just for me to have to cancel the whole thing! Experience was awful. I’ll never go there again.

Positive experience: Customer service was great, the dentist was nice and the visit was pleasant but I’m not too satisfied with the deep cleaning because there are still some stains on my premolars.
