Fantastic experience: This is the place! Great dentists. Lovely office manager who calls you “dear.” Really relieved to find dentists that care and won’t try to needlessly upsell you — in Los Angeles, that’s hard to find. Dr Ramthein (sorry, that’s spelled wrong) found a cavity in a wisdom tooth that several other dentists had missed that was causing my pain. He and Dr Vafa recommended a great surgeon to have it removed and my pain is gone. Dr Ramthein was also the first to recommend a path to straightening my crowded teeth that actually works for me.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Vafa is AMAZING!!!! Super fast and skilled!! Pretty sure he saved me from a crown or worse, a root canal! He was able to fix my tooth quickly, and 3.5 hours later, I was all good! As if nothing had happened. Beautiful, Beautiful, and very clean office!!! You feel like you are on a film set or one of those celebrity dental offices!

Fantastic experience: Dr Vafa is not just a skilled and excellent dentist. He is personable, knowledgeable, caring, and funny. I can never fill the numbing needle, something I’ve never figured out how he does. He has that trick he does where you never fill the needle and the medication going in. I am never scared to see Dr. Vafa and I’ve had many major works done. It’s actually fun because he is such a loving and nice person. He never lets you feel any pain. His staff is also so sweet. Claudia is very helpful and resourceful. Lupita who held my hand last time. Rest of the girls are very friendly and smiley or cannot work there Oh.. and isn’t he patient… I ask so many questions and no once he looked frustrated. Knowing me I would be. But he would always answer to the best of his knowledge and assure you that it’s gonna be ok. Office is beautiful and clean beyond. Positive experience: I went to this office for a dental cleaning for the first time, the dental hygieneist took a little time on my teeth about 15 to 20 minutes, usually it takes about 45 minutes to an hour, I don't really think she was that good!! Dr Vafa was excellent he took his time examining my teeth, I will go back if I have any dental issues but not for cleaning!

Fantastic experience: When I was a little girl I had a very traumatic experience with our family dentist...twice! I wanted to protect my children from the very same type of experience. When my twins were 3 years old, I looked for a good pediatrics dentist. As luck would have it, Dr. Vafa was one of the few pediatrics dentists who took the fee for service program I was a part of. I didn't know how amazing he was until I asked him if I could accompany my little girl while she had her first cavity filled. She was so scared but Dr. Vafa was kind and compassionate enough to understand how important this was for me and my little girl to have her mama sitting by her side as she had something scary done to her. Fantastic experience: I travel almost an hour with my two kids to see Dr. Vafa. My son had dental issues in the past and had a terrible experience with a local burbank Dentist office. Since then, I’ve vowed to literally go the extra mile to see Dr. Vafa, because I know my son will receive excellent care from a dentist with over 30 years of experience. I appreciate that Dr. Vafa doesn’t rush to “treat” every issue. He isn’t trying to overcharge patients and truly cares about the health of their teeth. His staff is top-notch too. Negative experience: I came to Dr. Vafa for a consult for TMJ Botox. It's advertised on his site as being a product he provides. However, when I told him I was interested in the treatment, he said it wasn't something he would administer until I had gone through a slew of treatments that I'd already tried and failed over the years with other dentists. He didn't take my pain level seriously, and talked down to me when he explained what Botox is (I'd already done tons of research on it ahead of time, and I work in healthcare, so I know what it is and how it works). He wanted me to come to him once every few weeks to monitor my symptoms, which would've been $80 out of pocket per appointment, before he approved me for Botox (if ever). I felt condescended to and kind of gaslit the whole time. I ended up going somewhere else for masseter Botox, and it has done WONDERS for my jaw pain and well being. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Vafa for anyone looking for TMJ Botox, nor would I expect him to take women's pain seriously in general.

Needless to say he was afraid of the dentist, but Dr. Vafa has been super patient and gentle with my son. We’ve been coming here for 11 years now and he has been my sons favorite dentist. Even when my son’s orthodontist recommends and type of surgery I always check with Dr. Vafa to get his opinion and recommendation. Fantastic experience: Been going here for years. Everyone is always very friendly, fast, and thorough. Plus, they never try to push or hard sell any unnecessary procedures. And they never scold me for not flossing enough, but definitely want me to floss more. ;-)
Negative experience: I went to see Dr Vafa as my good friend recommended him.At first I had a good experience and I finally thought I had come across a dentist that I could actually trust, one that was not just after my money. Much to my disappointment Dr Vafa was preparing me for Invisalign treatment and he told me I had several cavities and an amalgam to remove and re do. The treatment would cost about $1500. I proceeded to get 2 other opinions from other professional dentists and they BOTH found that I actually had ZERO cavities AND that if I removed the amalgam on my tooth which was in perfect condition (there was no need to remove at all) it could actually compromise the tooth! I wrote his assistant Claudia a couple of emails which they never responded to. I made an appointment to discuss these findings with Dr Vafa thinking he could explain to me what had happened, They gave me the appointment, but while I was there he actually refused to see me unless I paid him $180 for the consultation which they never asked me for by phone. This was ludicrous and I had tried to actually give him a chance to explain but he did not even bother to see me for a few minutes. I don't trust him at all and recommend you get second opinions when you go see him as they seem to exaggerate as unfortunately most dentist do in the U.S.

I want to address your concerns directly. Different dentists can legitimately have different clinical assessments based on their diagnostic criteria, experience, and treatment philosophy. What one dentist considers an early cavity requiring intervention, another might choose to monitor. Regarding the amalgam filling, my recommendation would have been based on my clinical examination at that time, but I absolutely respect that you sought additional opinions—that's always a patient's right and often a wise decision for peace of mind.
I sincerely apologize that we didn't respond to your emails to Claudia. That's not acceptable, and I take full responsibility for that communication breakdown. Regarding the consultation fee, there may have been a misunderstanding about the visit type when the appointment was scheduled, but I understand your frustration, especially when you were trying to have an open dialogue about your treatment plan.
My practice has always been built on trust and transparency, and I'm genuinely disappointed that we fell short of that in your case. Your feedback helps me identify where we need to improve our communication and patient care protocols.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Vafa is the best! He is a truly excellent and thorough orthodontist. I started seeing him around November/December because of long standing TMJ issues and related teeth shifting that has been going on for a few years now. I’m about 5 months into Invisalign treatment and everything is on course and going really well! Big improvements. He is careful to evaluate my progress every 1-2 weeks and always makes helpful suggestions & recommendations along the way. He is gentle and very easy to talk to and has a calm, comforting, and professional demeanor. In general, the office is also very relaxing and clean. Staff members Claudia and Abby are very knowledgeable and always very warm and accommodating. They are always on time with appointments, and make scheduling very easy via text or call. I’d recommend Dr. Vafa in a heartbeat to all of my friends and family.

Fantastic experience: I came to Dr Vafa after a previous dentist had quoted me for a massive amount of unnecessary work. Dr Vafa did a more thorough examination and concluded I needed a fraction of what I had been previously told. But there was a particularly problematic wisdom tooth which the previous dentist did not seem concerned by. In the end I needed 2 widsom teeth out, 4 fillings and a crown, instead of the 5 root canals I had been previously told. I have a severe phobia of needles, so Dr Vafa's office put me in thouch with their regular anaesthesiologigt (Dr Boshra Iravani), who was able to put me to sleep with a gas before attaching the IV to keep me asleep. So I was never aware of any needles being used. This is perfect for me. Very little pain from the extractions, certainly a lot less than I have previously had.

It was an emergency and the girl at the front desk was able to make an appointment for me the same day. As soon as I got there they had me on the chair and there was no long waiting. The doctor had the girls take a few X-ray and next thing I know I was having surgery to remove an infected tooth that had a crown. He numbed me good that I didn’t even feel the needle or the surgery and after almost a hour of surgery and some hard work by the doctor and Claudia they were able to remove the tooth. The whole time they kept asking me if I’m ok and gave my mouth small breaks so I can relax cause god knows I was scared. The doctor was so nice and professional. Hands down received Hollywood treatment and now I see why he has the Hollywood Star that was given to him hanging on his wall. He is very highly recommended!!
Fantastic experience: Dr. Bruce Vafa has been my dentist now for over 15 years. No matter what city or state I move to or currently live in I still make yearly annual trips to see him for all my dental care in Beverly Hills, California. I now drive six hours at least each way from Las Vegas, Nevada and back for the day just to see him for dental appointments. I’ve had horrible experiences in the past with other dental practices and trust Dr. Vafa completely. Not only does he do an amazing job but he and his staff make me feel so comfortable and treat me like family. I wouldn’t trust or go anywhere else. I recommend and have brought my family, friends, and clients to his office and they were all quite happy and satisfied with his work. He is the best dentist ever! Fantastic experience: Dr Vafa. Is AMAZING. From making the appointment with great customer service. To a smiling face when arriving to the office. I’ve always been afraid of the Dentist. But Dr Vada and the staff make you feel so welcomed that you’re at ease the whole time. Fantastic experience: I smile because of Dr. Vafa’s dentistry. I had a horrible dentist prior to finding Dr. Vafa’s office. The dentist I had prior to meeting Dr. Vafa, pulled out a perfectly good tooth because he couldn’t find the reason why I was in pain and could not fix any other problems related to my dentistry. Prior to that, a military dentist shattered my front tooth due to their incompetency, and replaced it with a Maryland bridge which caused my front teeth to look blue and fake. I had the appearance that the teeth we’re rotting due to poor oral hygiene. I was so self-conscience of this that I was afraid to smile for about 20 years. I was blessed to meet Dr. Vafa, who corrected the problem with a beautiful natural looking bridge. Once again I can smile and feel great about myself. Dr. Vafa is the only doctor I trust to do dentistry on myself and my family. Thanks again to Dr. Vafa and his office staff that have now made my dentistry journey a pleasure.
Fantastic experience: I've had fillings (new and repaired), root canal, crowns, cleanings, and a deep clean performed here. Dr Vafa is VERY concerned with his patients' comfort. He will stop what he is doing and apply additional numbing at the first sign of discomfort or pain. He is meticulous and works too make durable and reliable. For one crown, he even rejected the result, took a fresh impression, and completely redid it (at no additional Cody) when he was unhappy with the "city and finish".
Fantastic experience: I needed my last two wisdom teeth extracted, and I was interested in this dental office because they do free consultations. When I arrived at the dental office for my consultation, the area was clean, and the staff was extremely kind to me. I expressed to Dr. Vafa and his staff that I was nervous about the extraction (I had a bad experience at a previous dental office), and on the day of the extractions, he and the team did everything to make me feel extremely calm. They placed me in the children's room, the most spacious room, and there was a TV mounted above my seat. I also requested laughing gas to ease my nervousness. They monitored my blood pressure the entire time while I was inhaling the gas, and the doctor kindly checked on me to make sure I was okay. I highly recommend the laughing gas if you can afford it! It made the extractions close to painless. In all, the staff and the dentist are outstanding and professional individuals. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: 3 fillings, a root canal, and a crown later, my luxury bones are finally up to par thanks to Dr. Vafa and his wonderful team. Scheduling an appointment was very easy and they could fit me in almost immediately (next day) which is unheard of in LA for anything that requires an appointment. In my experience, I’ve had to schedule 1-2months in advance even for a dog grooming appointment, so this was definitely a huge plus. I was on my parent’s insurance the last time I saw a dentist (over a decade ago), and I was still a bit tramautized from those dental experiences and was nervous about insurance etc. The office called me right away and let me know how much was covered by insurance for the first appointment. They also sent a text and call as a reminder so there’s no way you’ll forget your appointment. When I went, I saw all the lovely cavities that have built up for a good third of my life when I neglected my dental care. I had chipped a tooth late 2020 and saw the massive cavity that had basically eaten up my whole tooth. That one required a root canal and crown (my first for both), and 3 fillings in my molars (2 of which I could feel, the third was the last filling my last dentist gave me). They didn’t make me feel bad about waiting for so long. The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very nice and said, “you’re here now and we’re going to take care of you,” and that they have every time I’ve gone back. They were up front about costs with and without insurance, what was covered/what wasn’t. The prices were extremely fair (my mom’s crown and root canal was almost double in a different state even with her insurance covering some of it). The root canal was painless during and after. The crown fitting went well and fits perfectly. The cavities were filled by a different dentist, but she did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend Dr. Vafa and Smile Angels. He’s extremely knowledgeable and I’m so happy I finally have a dentist. Their whole staff is excellent, the office is super clean, and you can tell they care about their patients. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Vafa‘s office for 15 years! I think it says a lot about a business when their customers stay with them for such a long time like I have. Dr Vafa is the best at what he does, and his staff is truly so amazing. I think the reason why he calls his office “Smile Angels Of Beverly Hills” is because everyone there greets you with a gracious smile (that can be seen through the mask of course) and makes you feel right at home. Something that I really love about Dr Bruce Vafa is that he’s very conservative and cares about his clients financial needs. He would not recommend an expensive procedure just to make money. His only intention is to make sure that his clients are happy and healthy. That’s all we could ever really want from a doctor, right? If you’re wondering if you should check out this office, my answer is 100% YES.
