Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at this dental office. Dr. Jose Cruz is absolutely amazing! He has such gentle hands and makes you feel very comfortable throughout the entire appointment. He takes the time to explain every step of the procedure, so you always know what is happening, and honestly, you barely feel a thing. I truly appreciate his professionalism, patience, and the care he gives his patients. Carmen, his dental assistant, is also wonderful. She is very kind, friendly, helpful, and attentive. She makes sure you feel comfortable and is always willing to assist in any way she can. Together, Dr. Cruz and Carmen make an excellent team. Fantastic experience: Cracked a tooth at 8pm, went to an “emergency dentist” at 8am they said I needed to remove the tooth and replace it for ~6k, decided to go for a second opinion and called Dr. Cruz’s office and was seen Immediately. Mrs. Carmen and the rest of the staff was fantastic, helpful and calming, Dr. Cruz checked me out and said I simply need to remove the cracked part and get a crown and did so within an hour and saved me $4k! Didn’t feel a single thing and even after numbing is gone I still don’t feel a thing. Dr. Cruz and his staff are Amazing!!

Fantastic experience: I wasn’t sure what to expect from these visits to Dr Carols Polo. I cracked the ceramic coating on one of my front teeth and needed to be seen quickly. I had already been referred by another doctor for a different tooth problem and had been putting it off because it didn’t hurt. Well I was kind of reprimanded for not scheduling that appointment when I had been referred. Instead of making me suffer though, the office manager got me in asap. I found the staff to be very friendly and supportive. Dr Polo has an excellent ‘bedside’ manner and treated me with respect. He is a Caring Doctor that doesn’t make it about money. It’s about your teeth and how he can make them better. I recommend Dr Carlos Polo for your dental needs. I left his office smiling!

Fantastic experience: I would like to share my experience with Dental Solutions. I'm so pleased with my dentures! Dr Cruz explained the journey to get from extraction to dentures very thoroughly. My case was complicated and would entail extractions, surgery and healing for 4 months before I reached the point of impressions. It was worth the wait. Dr Cruz is wonderful. I would also like to give a shout out to Lydia, Carmen and Shaena as well. All of the staff was welcoming and felt like family. I'm no longer in pain and my teeth look great! Fantastic experience: Oh my God!!! The service here was a DELIGHT today. I had a dental emergency and as soon as I got in touch with Lizbeth Valle on the phone, she was a pleasant young lady. I was in so much pain and she made it all feel seamless which is what we all want when going through excruciating pain, like I was. Then when I arrived, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Cruz and Carmen (his right hand -dental assistant) my goodness, I can’t say enough how these people are above and beyond AMAZING. I was in tears and left there with a huge smile and even a hug. Dr. Cruz explained everything so thoroughly and so calmly, that I had to calm down. He is amazing at this man. Carmen was a wonder to have by my side. She soothed me while I was in bad shape. She was so sweet and truly a compliment to Dr. Cruz to have such an amazing team by his side. Fantastic experience: I was so discouraged that each dentist I went to which was 8 in total, tried to sale me implants. Not one of them even mentioned I had an option to save my own teeth. That was until I went to Dr.Polo. I told Dr. Polo I wanted all my teeth removed. He told me no, I had good teeth still. Some bad but overall it was salvageable. He asked me to trust him. He sent me for periodontal cleaning with Dr. Barnes. Dr. Barnes took my receding gums to pink and healthy. Oh how I love Dr. Barnes and his staff. Dr. Barnes released me back to Dr.Polo to continue my journey. Dr. Polo then came up with a plan. I cry literally everytime I have an appointment because I am so amazed of my results and the compassion I've received. My appointment today was fillings on three of my teeth which now look like I've had implants or veneers but they are my real teeth! I bawled like a baby as Dr. Polo hugged me. If you want a real dentist and staff who truly care about you and your teeth. Please see Dr. Polo and his staff. I don't give praise to just anyone. Trust me! You won't be disappointed. Fantastic experience: Best decision EVER! I can not begin to explain how happy I am with this office! I was able to get an appointment quickly and on with my dental work with no problems! My feeling fell out of my tooth and I had to repair it asap. I was very nervous about getting my tooth fixed but the dental staff, and Dr. Cruz were so nice, patient, and helpful. Both he and his staff are polite and friendly; who knew going to the dentist could be a great experience? I have never had a dentist (and I've had plenty) with whom I have had such complete confidence, been relaxed and comfortable, and with whom I have been able to ask questions and get patient answers. Fantastic experience: My experience using Dr. Polo and Dental Solutions of Winter Haven has been nothing short of extraordinary. I have had three different dentists over the years that did a decent to very good job however, Dr. Polo and his staff have set the bar extremely high. Professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated to the dental needs of the patient are just a few of the reasons why I feel fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Polo and his staff. I never thought I would ever look forward to visiting a dentist, however it’s just like visiting family. It’s a 2-hour round trip for me from Wauchula and it is certainly worth the trip. If you’re shopping around for a new dentist, stop looking and make an appointment with Dr. Polo . . .you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I visited Dental Solutions after my daughter cracked a tooth and needed to be seen as a priority. Dr. Polo and his staff were superb from the very first call to the consultation and completion of the work needed. I cannot speak highly enough of their level of care and professionalism. What was a stressful and painful situation was dealt with compassionately and quickly. As a result, our whole family is going to move to this practice.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dentist I have ever been too. The staff was so great and Dr. Polo was so knowledgeable

Positive experience: I'll start with the pros 1) Initially I went in because I was having tooth pain everytime I ate. I called this office anwas pleased they could see me within the week I called. I was also happy that they were able to rectify the issue on that same visit (usually dentists want to do an initial visit and then have to come back to work on the issue). 2) the view of the lake from the chair is peaceful 3) every time I've had to go in, staff was very prompt. I would get to the appointments on time and within 5 to 10 mins of waiting in the lobby area I'd get called in. So not a long wait to see the dentist at all. 4) staff is courteous The cons 1) it feels like u have to wait to be seen forever. Scheduling the appts after being seen initially was at minimum a month out, but the wait to be seen can be longer. I had to wait almost 3 months to be able to be seen to get a teeth cleaning 2) After being seen and then discussing which teeth needs fillings, staff said I could choose which tooth I'd like to do that way it will work with my budget. The first time I scheduled to do fillings, I selected two teeth because at the time that is what my budget would allow. I had also set extra money aside just in case it came to more than what was quoted (that tends to always happen no matter what dentist u go to it seems, they always find a way to bill u extra). Dr. Polo took it upon himself to do an extra tooth instead if the two that I wanted to do because as per him "it was right there". So him deciding to just go ahead and do the third tooth without telling me prior to starting (I only found out when it was time to pay) blew thru my budget because of course there was additional things he had to do that my insurance did not cover. Had they stuck to just the two teeth that I wanted to do then $200 wouldn't have been added to my bill which was already high (there was a product used that insirance did not cover and this was for each tooth). This was big for me hence the 3 stars because I feel as though they just bypassed the original agreement of what was supposed to be done and did so without consent. Takeaway I would still use their services if they would stick to what the patient wants to do after it had already been discussed instead of doing what they want to do because it was convenient for them.

Negative experience: Went to see them last year, complaining about last dentist that did and suggested their ideas and procedures that left me with the same problem as I went in for. Too much talking and don't listen to the PATIENTS problem that they came for. I spent my hard earned money and still have the pain of food getting trapped between my tooth. I'm not pleased with the dentist or the consultant. They're just in the business of selling procedures, and not good listeners.

Fantastic experience: Just had a temporary crown done. Shout out to Dr. Polo, Ray, and Ashley! They are awesome! Ray made me feel comfortable as she got me ready. Dr. Polo is so kind and gentle! He takes his time and explains things as he works. He was so positive and encouraging during the whole procedure. Ashley put the temporary crown on and also explained what was happening. I am 71 years old and still have some trepidation when going to the dentist. However, I’m always amazed about why I would be that way after seeing Dr. Polo and his assistants. Also, Laurie, my dental hygienist is awesome! Love y’all!!

Positive experience: I was disappointed in Dr. Polo's attitude. I have had health problems since January and missed/cancelled sked appts with both Drs. Polo's and Barnes.'s offices When I tried to get an appt with Polo's hygiesnt there were no openings. I asked to be put on the "call list" if she had a cancellation, but no go. Finally got an appt with Dr. Barnes for cleaning. I asked for this recent apt with Dr. Polo because I care about my teeth and was pleased that he found "nothing." My health has taken a bad turn recently, and I do not know how I will be able to keep regularly sked appts -- but I'd like to try. I surely don't want to be a nuisance -- but I don't know what the future holds. Recently I wrote a "poke" at Dr. Polo, my dentist, who is well regarded in his profession. I assumed the comment went to his office only but NO -- it went worldwide! So here's the truth: Dr. Polo and I have been seeing each other for ten years, professionally, that is. There are many dentists between my home and his office, and I choose to drive almost an hour, one way, for an appt with Dr. Polo. Over the ten years, he has taken especially good care of my teeth, including crowns. My periodontist, also well-regarded in his field, compliments Dr. Polo's work especially crowns. Dr. Polo cares about his clients and gives each one his attention. Now I still have a mouthful of original teeth (incl. crowns) -- at 90 years old -- thanks to Dr. Polo! Fantastic experience: My experience was one of the best that I have had in the last 10 years. I definitely recommend to anyone. They are very friendly.

Negative experience: I was referred to a prostidontist and found they took my insurance. When I called, I was told they could help with my broken teeth. They do not extract nor treat broken teeth. They refer out. Which would be fine if I had not waited a month for this appointment. The Dr. talks over his patients and is short tempered. When I expressed I was stressed, he said he didn't have time for me and I left the office. I got a same day appointment with another prostidontist who does everything in house.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for about two yrs now. Every visit is a positive experience from checking in to checking out. Having been military and moving around a lot finding a good dentist is never my favorite venture. But Dr. Cruz and all of his staff have made my dental needs such a positive experience. Fantastic experience: There’s no better dentist other than Dr. Polo & Dr.Cruz, there are no better hygienist (I see Lisa & will never see anyone else until she retires), there are no better assistants, & in general no better staff. This office isn’t here to take your money & put you out of the door. They truly care about their patients teeth, overall health, & life in general. At this practice you become family & that’s exactly how you’re treated. I love each & every one of them so much!!!

Laurie M. has a warm and welcoming personality. She took special care of my teeth and gums with minimal pain. I didn't feel a thing. My mouth felt refreshed when she was done. Fantastic experience: Dr Carlos Polo and his staff made me feel immediately at ease. I am not a real comfortable person in a Dentist chair, but Dr Polos approach, his thoroughness in his explanations and his care plan which he provided in writing calmed my nerves and made me feel everything was going to be ok.

Fantastic experience: First time ever going and it was a great first experience. Staff is friendly and polite and takes the time to answer your questions and make sure you understand what is needed. Treatment Coordinator Lydia took her time to make sure I knew all my options for payment and what would be best for me. Dr. Jose Cruz was a great dentist. I found this company based off their reviews and so far they do live up to it. Not to mention the great water views from the windows while you are sitting in the chair.

Positive experience: Appointment time was supposed to be at 11 am, however the dentist was holding a meeting that delayed my appointment by 20 minutes. This was not Lisa's fault. The dentist should be more considerate of the Patient's time.

Fantastic experience: Excellent and prompt service from a very knowledgeable and caring staff. I used to go to Delta Dental. and had settled for mediocre care. I found Dental Solutions to be 20 times better in all phases of their operation from front office, to Dental Hygienist to Dr. Cruz. Very comprehensive exam and treatment plan outlined. Efficient billing staff and great rates. Dr. Cruz found a small infection and I'm out of pain and looking forward to my next course of treatment. At my age (almost 70) I am very appreciative of this level of care.
