Fantastic experience: 10/10 experience exceptional staff and professionalism and took great care of our daughter!!

Negative experience: This place is scammers!!! They called me before the appointment for my Insurance I give it to them and told them to make sure I was covered for the free yearly appointment and free cleaning for my son. Called me back said every was good to go I go to the appointment and a month later get texted I owe $180 I called and the lady is not helpful and just says Aetna only pays 100% of they’re charges and I owe the rest, they messed up and didn’t tell me that and now are expecting me to pay $180 for something I could of went to a nicer office for free. Would not recommend unless you want a surprise bill later…. Because it doesn’t allow me to reply to the response Bright Smiles of Winter Haven knows who’s in their network and who isn’t….. Yal obviously didn’t review it because you would have seen I was out of network for you and your lack of due diligence and then telling me it would be covered is the reason we are in this situation. I would never pay for something that would have been free elsewhere especially with the condition of your worn down facility. Again people be careful who you go to because they didn’t do the work and then are coming at me like I did something wrong after I made sure before I went it was covered…

Fantastic experience: This place was a very nice the way it is set up to help kids relax having to come see a dentist! The staff is super friendly and they fit my daughter (age 9) in same day due to her breaking one of her adult teeth! The dentist was awesome and the assistants stayed and held my daughter’s hand since I couldn’t be in the back room to hold her hand while the procedure was happening! It a very efficient place! Will be having this office be her primary dentist due to this experience for me and her.

Fantastic experience: Always the best customer service!! Both my kids love them, ages 4 and 10. As a kid, I was always afraid of the dentist, the experience wasn't always friendly. My kids aren't afraid of being seen at Bright Smiles, they walk to the back without me happily, saying "bye mom"!! I love the trust they have in them!!

Fantastic experience: We started going here because a preschool parent recommended them to me when I mentioned my daughter had anxiety. Best decision we have made. She still has anxiety but the staff does whatever they can to help calm her. The staff is great as well. Very friendly.

Fantastic experience: A few months ago my son had a dental "emergency" and I called multiple offices including his former dentist to be told no one could help me until i called Bright Smiles of Winter Haven. Dr. Tran took time on the weekend to call me back, walk me through what to do and honestly listened to me panic, cry and vent. She assured me that what was going on was not necessarily an emergency but it is urgent and she will ensure we get in the following day (the Monday). Dr. Tran was so kind in person as well and talked through all options, provided notes I needed to make an informed decision. Fast forward to scheduling the procedure. I have had an amazing experience with Elvia; she truly deserves a gold star/ plaque on the wall for her patience, empathetic approach and answering my 100 questions I have. I am truly thankful for all the kindness we have been shown from this office and look forward to them assisting in treating both of our children as they grow. The office is also very kid friendly in style and comfort- 10/10 recommend this office for the atmosphere and the kind staff.

Fantastic experience: I took in my three year old for his first dentist appointment ever. I was so afraid he was going to have a horrible time but no he had a smile on his face the moment we walked in. The space is definitely suited for kids to feel welcome and like they are at a fun place. The doctor and staff are wonderful and extremely patient. I love that Krystal took the time to explain to my son what her tools were for and she always made sure he was comfortable. The doctor took care of my concerns and she was very thorough. Great place and exceptional staff.

Negative experience: I was very disappointed with our visit to this dentist (Dr. Tran). Instead of try less invasive options, the dentist immediately recommended a major procedure simply because my son is autistic. Every child deserves to be treated with patience and respect, regardless of their diagnosis. I would not recommend this office for families seeking compassionate or individualized care. Btw I went and get a second opinion and the dentist did everything just with the gas mask.

Fantastic experience: We had such an amazing experience with all of the staff at Bright Smiles! I brought my 18-month old son and 5-year old daughter and they both had such a wonderful time getting their teeth cleaned at this practice. The environment and staff are exceptional and so welcoming. My kids enjoyed their experience from the minute they stepped foot in the office with the vibrant colors and play area. The level of professionalism is incredible. I was blown away with how everyone talked to my children and explained recommendations for oral hygiene at home. Dr. Tran is amazing and took the time to explain brushing habits for both our children. I highly recommend if you have little a in the area to give this practice a visit.

Fantastic experience: My son was scared to get his teeth cleaned and he started crying (he's 3) and she was very patient with him and comforting and let him take a break. He was scared of the light so she didn't use it and pushed it out of his sight. He wanted to hold my hand and I saw him holding hers as well while she brushed his teeth with her other hand and I thought that was really sweet. They also sung songs to help calm him down.

The waiting lobby really helped him feel comfortable, with books to read and even a fun rocket he could play in. The staff went above and beyond to make him feel at ease, even giving him toys. The doctors were incredibly kind and gentle with him, which made the whole visit stress-free. I’m so grateful we found such a caring dental office!

Negative experience: I would not recommend this dental office due to a lack of transparency and accountability in their billing and charging practices. Initially, I called ahead, provided my insurance information, and was told that they accepted my PPO plan. They verified the insurance and provided an estimate of the co-pay—everything seemed straightforward. We arrived for the appointments, and I paid the expected amounts. The services included two cleanings for my 11- and 4-year-olds, and for my 22-month-old, the dentist simply looked at his teeth and applied fluoride. The final bill, however, was an astonishing $758. This amount is excessively high for the services rendered. The cleanings for the older children took less than 10 minutes, and the exam for my toddler was less than 5 minutes. If I had known the true cost upfront, I would have gone elsewhere. When I inquired about the bill and why I hadn’t been informed beforehand, I was told that I was considered out-of-network (which was not communicated prior) and that my insurance “paid too little.” I reminded them that benefits had been verified beforehand and that this information should have been clearly explained. They responded that, according to their system, my insurance was supposed to cover 80%, but in reality, it only paid 20%. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. If you want to avoid surprises, ensure you get everything in writing before any services are performed. Otherwise, the pricing and billing practices are not worth the actual care provided.

Fantastic experience: We love Bright Smiles! I have 2 teens that have been there since 3 yrs old and now my 2 toddlers had their first visit. Staff was very good with them and they had no issues through the process.

Unfortunately, the one I used to take my children to had a change of staff and dentist, and their service and ability to work with children had taken a significant turn for the worse. I had no idea this place existed until I called and was amazed by how wonderful they are with my children. They make appointments that meet their specific needs, take their time, and know them by name. They even remember their birthdays and put their names on a board! What a relief to be able to take them there.To know that my children enjoy going to the dentist now. Everyone there is incredibly kind and down-to-earth. No one seems to be overly proud or looks down on anyone. It creates a comfortable, professional, and neighborly atmosphere. If you’re anything like me, you won’t regret choosing Bright Smiles as your pediatric dentist. You’ll probably wish they treated adults too!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Bright Smiles for a couple years, and the girls are always sweet with my boys. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. I also love the community events they do (buy back candy after Halloween and finding the elf to get prizes around Christmas. Definitely recommend them!

Fantastic experience: After a horrid experience at Children Teen and Dental done the road I have been searching for a dentist and hoping my son could get over his fear. Today I took him to bright smile and he was a little apprehensive but eventually mellowed out and enjoyed the inside and had said it reminded him of a cartoon. The staff was some of the absolute nicest people I have ever met, the dental hygienist and everyone. Who worked on him were patient and understanding and just so nice. Even the dentist he saw she was just so nice and explained everything and didn't scold me or talk down to me when giving me tips on how to help my son which the other place did. Their bedside manner here is top tier!! Needless to say I think we have found THE dentist, and definitely will be using them from now on. Thank you guys so much!

Fantastic experience: We just took our 3-year-old twins for the first time to the dentist and it was all-around a 10/10 experience! I was nervous bringing the twins for the first time for a dentist experience and the experience was a complete 180 from that! The front desk staff to the dentist herself were all just so warm, welcoming, kid-friendly, clean and organized. The twins & I can't wait to go back again in 6 months!

Negative experience: The lobby is cool, but I do not recommend this dental office…for a myriad of reasons. This was an overwhelming experience for my daughter and myself. I had to pay full price even though I had insurance. They said there would be a “few hours” delay if they needed to process it at that moment. I paid in full and figured it would be situated the next day. It’s been a week, and they “haven’t heard back” from insurance. When they do, it may be about a month before a refund is processed for the amount that will be paid by insurance. In their response they say they made multiple attempts to confirm insurance info - THIS IS NOT TRUE. Also, Dr Tran was very hectic running from patient to patient while we were there, and our hygienist had to leave mid-appointment. The conversation with Dr.Tran about my daughters dental health was a whirlwind as well. It was hard to follow the fast string of directions she shared - she said something about a rinse, mentioned braces out of the blue, recommended the out-of-pocket $500 cavity treatment (that she’d also told every other parent before us to get for their child), and a slew of other things that I honestly couldn’t recall even seconds later. She spoke at such a rapid rate, the hygienist who took over after our original one left also couldn’t track what she was saying about each tooth. I don’t even know if the information was properly recorded. The whole place felt “off” and the disorganized, disjointed service and speedy exam and consult by Dr Tran left us feeling mostly terrible about the whole ordeal. Hopefully, we can possibly find a pediatric dentist that isn’t so rush-rush. I didn’t get the rinse the doctor mentioned, because I didn’t ask for it on the way out - I guess I was supposed to be taking notes while she talked. It would have been a challenge to record it all. The checkout desk had notes about the cavity treatment that we needed to schedule, but not about the rinse that we were supposed to leave with - apparently, that part was my responsibility to ask for on my way out.

Negative experience: Not good at all and I didn't even get in the door I made a appt then changed my mind on the date 15 minutes later called again was assured of the new date and time I have to call logs, and called to confirm the day off they said we don't have it and just offered to reschedule for a later date. Unprofessional and no apologies at all.

Fantastic experience: Recently I brought my children to children and teen dental of winter haven and was never really pleased. After waiting 45 min past our appointment and seeing bugs we called bright smiles and I wish I had done it sooner. This place is absolutely perfect in every way. They are clean, kind, patient and everything in between. I even got emotional on how happy my experience was today. Thank you to all the staff. I’m so thankful to have found this wonderful place!

Negative experience: Think twice before booking an appt with this office. This was my 1st visit with my AUTISTIC SON!!! The dental hygienist was understanding and worked with my son well but the dr has NO empathy towards patients. She was asking questions that were not relevant to providing dental care. Her approach is not appropriate every patient is different and she does not acknowledge that at all. This seems to be an issue with many other patients as well .. So apparently she does not learn or adjust behaviors. You can tell she does this for money not FOR THE WELL BEING OF THE CHILDREN. Which is sad!!! Then at checkout they want you to pay a deposit for an appointment to be booked without any work being Done!!! I have never heard such a thing to pay towards a service when it has not been rendered. Just seems like it’s all about MONEY!!! The lady at the desk stated that they charge because of no shows. That made no sense when they make you sign a cancellation policy in which they charge a fee when you don’t cancel an appt. Again this is not okay to conduct themselves the way they do. All of the staff in the back also stated that this Dr behaves like this with all patients so definitely something to be aware of. Please do not book any appointments here ..

I love that the dentist actually talks to the parents and explain things in detail. My son also had an issue with crowding and they stayed on top following up until he got into an orthodontist. Negative experience: No star is what I would like to give. Called their office for an emergency appointment, which they had one. My daughter was in pain! So I called for a tooth to be examined. That’s an emergency appointment. After being called back to review the forms I filled out, again I stated I was there for a single tooth to be looked at because it was causing problems for my 6yr old. So without telling me she grabbed my daughter’s hand and told me go to the waiting room! Uhmm no thanks, that’s my child not yours, and explain that, that’s how you run your practice ahead of time. At least put a sign up stating no parents allowed, or specify it one way or another. I would have never made an appointment with them had I known. Ok fast forward, I said I’m going back, ok well go sit on the purple bench. I did like a dummy, after 10 minutes and hearing my daughter cry and a bunch of assistants standing there, I got up! One of them had to nerve to say go sit down mommy! No ma’am I’m not sitting anywhere, I asked what is taking so long for an X-ray. Oh well we have to do a full mouth and a cleaning before she sees the dentist! Uhm no you don’t, nobody told you to do that, your shoving X-rays all in my daughters mouth, then want to clean her teeth while she’s in pain. How just how and why did you guys do that? Just to get your exam check from our insurance! After telling you several Times that’s not why we are there. Then another lady comes out and apologizes for the mix up, their office had a miscommunication of why she was there! Well you traumatized my 6yr old, and by the way there was a family sitting there saying I hope she’s ok, speaking about their daughter. Maybe send someone out there to give parents updates. Update to your response. You had families on the waiting room pacing, mothers walking in and out wondering if their child was ok! I have pictures that I took of my children in your office to show other families in the background. Your practice is unprofessional, I see from other people Dr. Tran didn’t change her ways. She called and texted me several times begging to remove this post and give her a second chance. You could write a novel full of excuses for your behavior if you chose too! Still not going to change my review. What you did was wrong!

She was so helpful with me the last few weeks with some account issues I was having and then during my daughters appt today all the staff in the back made such kind comments about my daughter and working with her. Dr Tram was kind and positive about my daughter’s visit and also said very kind things about her. As a parent it’s always nice to hear your child made the staff laugh and they think she’s adorable.

Fantastic experience: My children have been coming to Dr. Tran for a few years now. We absolutely LOVE her. After a bad experience at another dentist we found Bright Smiles. I am so thankful because now my kids actually want to go to the dentist! Dr. Tran and her staff are fabulous with my kids. Fantastic experience: Dr Tran is the best!! We have been seeing her for almost 4 years now and she always is so awesome with my girls. My youngest had trauma to her face causing breakage on her front teeth a couple of years ago. Dr Tran made her so comfortable even though she was scared. Now she has no problem at all going into her appointments. Thank you Dr Tran and office staff for always doing the absolute best job for my family. Best dental office EVER!!

Fantastic experience: My child was very nervous about his visit today, but the staff takes their time and helps keep him calm. Explained everything to him so there would not be my surprises. We have been going to bright smiles for 10 years. They are great with children.

Negative experience: Was first time there and not impressed. Start with I told the office lady not do anything my insurance wouldn't cover as I am strapped for moneyat this moment. Then we went to the next room Explained situation with my oldest daughter and all her special needs and the anxiety she has do to her being poking and prodding her whole life. My daughter been threw her whole life. And when doctors or nurses come around she gets really scared nervous and ask questions and wants things explained to her.. they explained things to my youngest which was super easy child to do. And then my middle child got her cleaning done then went to "playroom" and then wanted to do her xrays she got scared said no and one nurses grabbed her arm tried to pull her and my daughter pulled away said no so I had walk her over to have it done after I talked to her. Then when they started cleaning on my oldest they explained nothing just started cleaning but... I give credit to the lady cleaning her teeth as she calmed her down and was able get everything dome peacefully. Then when they did xrays on her they took numerous over and over as they couldn't get a good picture.. gagging her over and over with it she got really upset they continued so I walked over they said they would work with what they got. Dr Tran seemed have no care in word over the conditions/diagnosis my daughter had jumped started to IV sedation for my oldest told me that laughing gas not good idea. Keep in mind my daughter had 2 teeth extracted at other dentist with laughing gas no problem. She got rude with my oldest daughter cause she wasn't holding her mouth wide open non stop she kept saying she was hurting her but kept digging hard in her teeth. My daughter caught on said she was mean don't want to go back and my other 2 said they want to go back to old doctors. After all was said and done they told me I'd pay $900 dollars to the Anastasia team they bring in $250 for a deposit then whatever bill is for the dental office itself. They said I'd be paying alone without Anastasia $632 for my middle daughter to have Oral sedation done for a extraction. After I argued laughing gas will do just fine as we have done it prior with no issues.. then $543 For My oldest for iv sedation alone with fees listed above for Anastasia and deposit. Then want my youngest daughter back in 3 months for another xray in her tooth which is 31 dollars. I pleaded to them multiple times about my oldest daughter and making sure only do what my insurance paid for. To walk out today owing 380 dollars.... I will not be going back. My kids asked go back old doctor as they were nice and makes my oldest feel comfortable. I do not recommend Dr Tran if you child has special needs for "trained to work with children like her all the time" sure didn't seem that way. The prices are overcharged. Extra things done that wasn't needed.

Fantastic experience: A Pediatric Dentist Who Goes Above and Beyond! I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Tran at Bright Smiles of Winter Haven and I couldn't be happier with the experience. First of all, the waiting area is very cheerful and inviting. It is filled with colorful decorations, kid-friendly furniture, and a play area that helps distract my little one from the pre-appointment jitters. What impressed me the most, however, was the level of care and patience exhibited by Dr. Tran and her staff. From the initial examination to explaining procedures in a way my child can understand, they go the extra mile to make sure she feels comfortable and informed, and myself included. Dr. Tran's ability to communicate with children is exceptional, which to me is as important as her hard skill sets. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Tran to any parent looking for a pediatric dentist who goes above and beyond to make dental visits a positive and enjoyable experience for their little ones.

Negative experience: I never had an issue with this place until just recently. Let me just first say…. If you have a patient that constantly screams their head off when going to the dentist (understandably so, because no one enjoys the dentist especially a three year old) then maybe you should already prepare to place this said child in a room away from others who will clearly feed off this terrifying experience they are now witnessing….. and yes we were told by the dentist herself that this particular patient does this ALL the time and shrugged it off. Now with that being said…. My three year old son had to witness this during his entire visit and of course was terrified and feeding off this energy….. so of course he is not going to be corporative! After finding out that two of my child’s teeth will need to be extracted, the dentist immediately gave us zero options and went straight to IV sedation because our son was, again, “uncooperative”. I have two other children so this is not my first go around with dentist. I have always been given options and always with IV sedation being the VERY last resort. When we tried to ask the dr what other options she had, she couldn’t get off her high horse enough to hear us out and basically told us… “there’s the door.” She was very rude. While you guys have provided us with great care up till this point… it seems when it comes to anything past a cleaning…. It’s your way or the highway. Which is pretty disappointing when you are working with children, concerned parents, and have no issue with jumping to extremes when there are clearly other options. Dentist needs to get off her high horse.

Fantastic experience: Just for future new patients to be aware beforehand...... I Absolutely loved the staff, and the Dentist. I was unaware that I was not allowed to go back with my daughter for her tooth being pulled and wasn't told until we were called back again for the procedure. My daughter did not like this, and when I asked if anything I filled out or was given, stated this was a rule, the staff said "normally parents ask beforehand," as a new patient coming from a dentist that I was able to go back with her for her last two pullings I believe this should definitely be something that is gone over before payments are made and procedures are discussed. Other than that, the staff are all nice and respectful. * Update*The dentist also contacted me to check in to make sure my daughter was okay and to apologize. Very respectful of her.

Fantastic experience: We loved our first visit here at Bright Smiles. They were able to see my daughter for an emergency visit right away. The staff was super nice to my daughter. Dr Tran was very professional and knowledgeable. She explained everything in details and made sure my daughter was well taken care of. Highly recommended Bright Smiles to everyone!

Negative experience: We did not have the best experience when my son needed work done today or the visit last time. I was made to feel as if it’s my fault that my 17 year old does not brush the best. I had an opinion from his orthodontist who has seen him a lot more than the dentist does and it seems that Dr Tran did not like that at all. Then she again told me how he should brush his teeth. Then when we left, my son told me that she was talking about me while she was working on his tooth! Very unprofessional and we never experienced any of this when Dr. Rogers was there.

Negative experience: When will we be able to select no stars for these awful providers? Anyway, this is a zero star for Dr.Tran. Ever since she purchased the practice.It has become nothing but a $$$ pit for parents. $30 for late appointments even if it's less than 5 mins.Downpayment required to schedule appointments for treatments EVEN if you have insurance . Told me that my kid had a cavity with her over priced treatment plan which I ignored. .I didn't trust her on that.Returned a year later and magically the filing disappeared. 0% trust in her as a dentist. Would not recommend to anyone. O star for her as a dentist..Keep looking.

Fantastic experience: Every part of this place was a great experience. My 2 year old had so much fun in the rocket while waiting. The woman at the counter was so kind. The woman who took us back was just as nice. They had Moana playing on a tv right on the chair which helped so much. Dr. Tran was so helpful and kind. All of the ladies were so patient with me and my 2 year old. I will absolutely go back here again.

Negative experience: Do NOT go there! Save yourself the stress! My kids have been there twice and each time they find a reason to change something! I have insurance which covers everything! Yet at this place they mange to find Something! I have been at Dr.Forni office for 2 years now not once have I ever had an issue with extra charges. Now all 3 of my children go and they love the office. I will not recommend this office to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I visited Bright Smiles for the very first time with my 20-month old toddler yesterday and I gotta say that I’m so glad that I came across them via Google search/reviews! Dr. Tran is so personable and approachable. She was so good with my son even singing to him while trying to brush his teeth (he absolutely hates brushing btw and it’s always a war to get into his mouth). The ladies at the front desk were also very polite and friendly. 5 ⭐️

Fantastic experience: Yay! My daughter and I love this dentist office. Her last dentist office wasn't a good fit, and since she's started seeing her dentist here, she's much more comfortable. She actually gets excited to go. Also, when my insurance changed and BSWH didn't carry the new insurance, they helped coordinate with me and insurance so that I still wouldn't have to pay out-of-pocket for regular cleanings, etc.!

Negative experience: Do not spend your money here! This dentist office is a rip off! They charged me $285 for a deposit on a procedure and then tried to charge me $900+ the day of my sons procedure. They were not good at communicating the cost of everything at all.

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to share a review of our most recent experience. Our nine year old had to have two cavities filled, and the process was very smooth. They constantly checked in on my son during the procedure, and were very professional and careful. It was a wonderful experience for us and him. Highly recommend!
