Positive experience: The only reason I’m giving 4/5 stars is because although I like the office I’m not happy with the provider I was seeing. I am however very happy with the latest provider I’ve seen! Since I found out I was pregnant I scheduled my first appointment and I had been seeing a Dr Sara Baker. 2 appointments before my induction date she told me to return in one week, but the front desk staff told me she would no longer be my provider as she was leaving the location. It honestly upset me that she didn’t have the decency to inform me herself as she’s the only obgyn I’ve ever seen on the practice let alone in Florida or for this pregnancy. I also feel like after my first few appointments she lacked efficiency. I just had my second to last appointment with Dr Francis. She was fabulous. Within the first appointment with her she answered all my questions in depth and thoroughly. She took her time and was patient. I wasn’t planning on returning to the practice after I deliver my baby, but she may have changed my mind! With that being said I definitely recommend seeing Dr Francis.

The two front desk assistants greeted me with a smile and helped answer all of my questions Dr Francis was kind and very thorough taking her time to listen to my concerns and answer all questions I had. Did not fell rushed as I have in the past with other physicians. Her Nurse was also so kind and very thorough as well. Negative experience: I had my first visit at Central Florida Health Care - Winter Haven Women & Children and unfortunately, my experience was mixed. When I scheduled my appointment, I was instructed to arrive 30 minutes early to ensure paperwork was completed. I followed those instructions and even filled everything out ahead of time online, including uploading photos of my ID and insurance card to make the process smoother. However, upon arrival, the reception staff seemed inconvenienced and were chatting among themselves. When I approached and explained it was my first visit and that I didn’t see a sign-in process, I felt like I interrupted them. They laughed and then proceeded to take my information. I also explained that I didn’t have physical copies of my insurance card since I had already uploaded them, but I was told they were required anyway—which was confusing given the online submission process. The waiting room environment felt somewhat unprofessional. There were multiple walk-ins being accommodated, and several patients were speaking loudly on their phones without any staff intervention. Overall, the atmosphere didn’t feel very organized or calm. It took over an hour from my arrival time just to have my vitals taken. That said, I do want to acknowledge that the LPN and provider were kind, attentive, and took the time to listen to my concerns and medical history, which I appreciated. One concern I had was the strong push for multiple STD/STI tests, which felt unnecessary for my situation and wasn’t clearly explained. That added to an overall feeling of discomfort during the visit. While I’m grateful for the care I did receive from the medical staff, the front office experience and overall environment make me hesitant to return. I will likely seek care elsewhere moving forward.

The Dr and her nurse were exceptional considering I’m so afraid to have anything done, especially when I was called in for a second time. Fantastic experience: Dr Andrea Francis is gentle and caring. I truly like her interactions with me when I have my appointments. She's not dismissive nor in a rush. She listens and very understanding and gives you good information about what you are being seen for. I'm so glad I found her. The staff is welcoming and nice. So far I've never had any problems.

Negative experience: Very disappointed that a healthcare facility would put newborn babies and pregnant women at risk by bringing sick kids through the women’s center to check in!! We came for a sick appointment as my son has been exposed to flu and is coughing like crazy and we found the pediatricians door locks with a note advising everyone to go through the main doors which is where there are newborn babies and pregnant women sitting in the waiting room! Being a healthcare worker myself, this is a very bad look for CFHC!!!

Negative experience: I came here to my first appointment for my first pregnancy. Now Sara baker was very kind! However the bathroom where you first go in to pee in the cap was disgusting. Then after they told me walk down the hallway there is a door in the wall to put the pee sample. I have never been here and had no idea where to go. I was walking past patients rooms and tech desks very awkward and uncomfortable. Then it was time for my blood work labs and the labs I got back was maybe half of what they told me they were going to put in for. I was expecting to get the gender results in 2 weeks and 2 weeks later I asked where my results were and they told me they never had an order for gender testing at all. As well as the other tests I was expecting. Also be aware they do not do in house ultra sounds. You are sent to another lab for that. Which is also something I was not expecting. Just wasn’t a good experience for something I’m so excited for.

Negative experience: To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the care I received from Dr. Francis at Central Florida Healthcare, which I believe was inadequate and dismissive, resulting in an unresolved medical issue over an extended period of time. On 11/21, I was seen by Dr. Francis for ongoing symptoms that were concerning and abnormal for my body. Although testing was performed and results were reported as normal, I continued to feel that something was wrong. Despite expressing this concern, no treatment was provided. Over the following weeks, my symptoms did not improve and instead worsened. I returned on 12/30 as a walk-in due to the progression of these unresolved symptoms. Upon arrival, I was informed by front desk staff that because I was a walk-in, I might not be seen at all and that no medication would be prescribed until test results returned- despite this being my second visit for the same issue with increased severity. During this visit, a procedural issue arose that resulted in testing not being completed and no treatment being offered. I attempted to explain that my symptoms had worsened since my previous visit and that I was concerned about the lack of resolution. I was told that my concerns were based on personal assumption and that prior test results indicated there was no issue. My perspective and familiarity with my own body were dismissed without meaningful discussion or alternative care options. This was my second encounter with Dr. Francis within just over a month in which I felt unheard, disregarded, and treated without empathy. At no point did I feel that my worsening condition was taken seriously or that there was any effort to explore next steps or provide reassurance or relief. To remain untreated after multiple visits- while being billed over $300- is deeply frustrating and unacceptable. Patients seek care expecting compassion, clinical curiosity, and partnership in addressing unresolved concerns. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I believe this situation warrants review, as no patient should feel dismissed when advocating for their own health. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. Sincerely, Margaret Wilkins

Most of the nurses were also very nice, except for one who did my bloodwork and looked at me like I was the most inconvenient person for asking if I could lay down because I get dizzy lol. But I’ll definitely be sticking with Dr. Francis for as long as possible.

Negative experience: The front desk and nurses were good, but our experience with INDYA DOLLISON, ARNP the nurse practitioner was extremely unpleasant. It was our 1st appointment there, as our daughters PCP was experiencing issues. We planned on getting her check up and shots, but during the appointment we noticed our daughter had some congestion and mucus, we asked if maybe we should reschedule the shots for later in the week and INDYA met us with bias and her extreme opinion of our previous PCP and vaccines became the main attraction of her irate stance. She constantly repeated “we don’t do that here” pertaining to postponing vaccines for a sick child to a later date, even though we simply ASKED. Then she repeatedly said “I know what (previous PCP) feels about vaccinations but we’re not like that.” My wife and I have NO IDEA what she was going on about but she was getting aggressive and we felt forced to give our daughter the vaccines that day instead of waiting until she gets well. I will be filing an official complaint, and if my daughter has to go to the hospital I will be reporting INDYA for malpractice and suing this office for neglect.

Fantastic experience: She was very friendly to my wife and accepting of her thoughts. I appreciate a doctor who makes the patient feel heard. The nurse was also very kind.

Negative experience: Well unfortunately I have to say, that I was there last Wed 8/13 and today is 8/21 I went there very symptomatic and even though my visit was quick and smooth which I was so satisfied with that I am still waiting for the provider to review the test I had done on that day to receive my prescription. I received my results Sat through the lab patient portal, I called Mon, I was told that my provider will call me to talk about it, called Wed again and I received the same answer, still waiting. I am very disappointed with the service there.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start! Dr. Francis is amazing every appointment was personable and informative. I brought up few concerns and had my own preexisting issues which she addressed and followed up on throughout my pregnancy and after delivery she made me feel heard. I’m a mother of 5 and this being my geriatric pregnancy(insider)lol she really made this one of my easiest and stress free pregnancy. I recommend Dr. Francis 1000 times over. The ladies in the office were also extremely pleasant. I thank them so much for keeping me and my baby healthy during this time.
