Fantastic experience: I had an absolutely incredible experience here. I hadn’t been to the dentist in years, and I was terrified at what they would find. I’m going on 5 months sober, and knew alcohol played a huge part in the condition of my teeth. The staff was incredibly friendly, and helped calm my nerves a lot. My teeth were nowhere near as bad as I thought they were, but it was still going to be pretty pricey. I was ready to leave after receiving my estimate, knowing I wouldn’t be able to pay. They spoke to me about a cheaper, temporary fix, and we worked out a game plan to slowly fix and pay for the rest. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, or better staff. Thank you all for everything you do! If you’re looking for a great dentist, you have come to the right place.

Fantastic experience: My appointment was a work in I was headed to Vegas the next morning. Dr. A answered the phone and from then on he and hiis staff were miracle workers!! Thanks again guys ! I wish I could remember everyone’s name. Simone I do remember!

Negative experience: I made a VERY clear note in my check-in, before ever stepping through the door, letting the technicians and dentist know I have a severe anxiety disorder. And yet, presumably, they hire just anyone they find outside because the woman they had take my X-rays went out of her way to bring up both SUICIDE and PUTTING DOWN HER DOG within the same 15-minute window, unprompted. Like YES! THANK YOU! That's obviously what I want spoken about while I'm in your care! What is wrong with you people??

Negative experience: I tried to resolve this privately as I was a patient there for 4+ years and Dr. Harper and Dr. Tang were fantastic but I can’t get a response again and my calls will not go through. I was told they didn’t have a problem refunding me but still haven’t received that and it’s been months. I sent emails, texts and then was told to call to discuss it. Life got busy and I will say I put off calling for a bit but my calls will not go through? I have only been able to get two of three teeth Dr. Li messed up fixed because the other one is a longer, more expensive appointment. I was very hesitant to come back after my visit last December but trusted Dr. Tang. I went in for a cleaning with Dr. Tang and it turned out that he had moved out of state. I checked all my folders in my email and never received one about him leaving so it was a huge shock when I came in for last cleaning and he was not there. There wasn’t even a dentist on staff, just the hygienists. The hygienist was so rough that she drilled a chunk/filling (?) out of my tooth and didn’t even acknowledge it. I get that it’s possible if the filling was done poorly but I spit it out and she said it was probably just “left over glue” from my braces. Even when Dr. Tang mentioned it she claimed she had no idea that happened. She’s very sweet but too rough during cleanings and the lack of awareness is very worrisome when dealing with teeth. Then I had to pay for it. With my most recent visit for three fillings was definitely the line. All the fillings are very uneven with ledges/ridges that are very visible, my gums have felt sore and teeth somehow just don’t feel right. Dr. Li “fixed” two of the three fillings the hygienist did but my teeth were still uneven. Which brings me to the third filling, which she filled in the exact same tooth/spot that I just paid for Dr. Tang to fill not even a year ago. I was not told which teeth were being filled until after they were done or I would have questioned it. The whole appointment seemed very unorganized. There was no communication with Dr. Li and felt rushed and like it was an inconvenience to her. She didn’t even introduce herself. Didn’t explain what she was doing, didn’t say a word to me. I had to ask what tooth she had filled and even her assistant said it was the exact same spot that Dr. Tang filled from Lisa drilling out. I just don’t know why I paid twice for the same tooth to be filled in the same spot and now have to go elsewhere to have these teeth fixed and the third tooth refilled for the third time in less than a year. The gums above that tooth are still puffy and bleed no matter how I clean them. That’s the only one that does that and even my new dentist pointed it out and I don’t have gingivitis but now I need a crown. And for the cherry on top, the dental hygienist pushed an electric toothbrush on my that is discontinued and the only place to buy replacement heads is on Amazon for $30.

Fantastic experience: This is my second review! Had to delete my first to re-write this one. But don’t worry that one was a 5-star review as well! First let me start by saying, the STAFF. The staff at this office are top tier! They make you feel comfy, and right at home. Which if you have dental anxiety like me - That’s a huge bonus. Nicole, Janet and Shawna’ are wonderful! They are kind, and caring and always greet me with a warm welcoming smile. Dr. Li is incredible. A true master at her craft. Shes compassionate and really cares about what she does. That’s the best thing about this office. Dr. Li gave me a beautiful bridge that I’ve been wanting for quite a while. She was precise, and I left feeling 100% more confident in my smile. And to the best part, this office now offers Botox! Yes! Talk about confident boost. Quick, easy, painless. Seriously Dr. Li is a magician! If you’re anxious at all about the dentist, or feel self conscious in ANYWAY this office has got your back. Don’t take my word for it, look at my beautiful new forehead below! Thank you all for being awesome!

Fantastic experience: I will admit I was nervous to meet the new dentist when Dr. Tang told me he was leaving. However!! Do not fear, I promise you will LOVE Dr. Li! Coming in for my first appointment with her, she already knew about how nervous I get and proceeded to chat with me and conduct little tricks to keep me focused on my breathing. She is so patient and easy to talk to. She’s incredible and knows her stuff. About everyone else: Nicole at the front desk will make you feel like a friend within 10 seconds! Shawne is the literal best assistant to Dr. Li and I love love love her so much. Janet is a hoot and a half and I look forward to my cleanings bc of her. Finally, as a whole, this office is professional, kind, warm, and the most nonjudgmental group of people. I cannot recommend them enough. I hope you all know how important you are to me and my daughter. We thank you!

Negative experience: EDIT By my 3rd dental visit, the communication here had dropped significantly. The dental hygienist I was with the first time had left the practice, and I was paired with a new one on my second visit. She was way to rough for my liking, which I have not had problems with at any other practices I’ve been with, so I asked to be put with another hygienist. They acknowledged that request, but didn’t follow through with it. So the next cleaning I had (I get 4 annually) was just as rough as the last. My biggest frustration was the communication about a cracked tooth I had from grinding. It is even reflected in my medical notes. The hygienist was not understanding what I was frustrated about. I understand that cracked teeth can happen at any point, quickly within a day’s time. What I was upset about was when the dentist came in and did a quick look in my mouth, he said that everything looked the same as it had looked previously. What? Was there always a crack or not?? Because all previous visits were defined as wearing on the teeth, no crack mentioned. So when you communicate out loud to the patient that everything looks the same, that is interpreted as there has always been a crack. It was just a very different level of focus from the team than when I was first getting established as a new patient. It is also frustrating that even though I requested after every visit a note be put in on how to pronounce my name, no one bothered to look at the note, if there ever was one I guess. Any other healthcare provider I have routinely been to has had no problem with the small requests I’d made. If you can’t bother to get my name right, change up the hygienist, or make sure to communicate with me about my oral health clearly/concisely, why would I keep coming back? I’ve stated going to Kirchner dental off Charlestown rd, where I had actual dental work done for that cracked tooth (it was a cracked filling from the grinding) and I am extremely happy with all the care I’ve received there. It’s what I thought Beechwood was going to be like. They’ve made a point to get my name right every time as well. It’s said that the devil is in the details, but so is success. —————- New patient experience. I wish every healthcare provider was like this place. Every single person here was top notch, it is VERY apparent that there was a certain meticulousness that went into choosing every employee there. They all have the same goal when it comes to why they show up to work every day. They take pride in what they’re doing and really make an effort to provide the best experience you could possibly imagine when it comes to patient care and communication. Small town atmosphere/warmth with big city skill. I recently had had a terrible experience at a local dentist in New Albany, and was having trouble finding a place that would take the radiographs that the crummy office had taken (I only get one set annually). Beechwood, without hesitation, said they would be happy to use those radiographs, and if they felt they needed better quality pictures, they would comp them. And sure enough they followed through with that promise. I have never felt so cared for by a health provider before. Dr. Tang even called me the evening before my appointment to see if I had any questions or reservations. Sarah was my hygienist and she gave me helpful information and tools I’d never heard of before, and a stellar cleaning. No one gave me pushback about me wanting to keep my permanent retainer, they really listened to what I had concerns about, while simultaneously giving me information to continue to improve my oral health. I even received a hand written thank you card from Dr. Tang in the mail. This place is magic. If you want a dental care team that’s overall goal is to be your teammate when it comes to your oral health, and has wonderful communication all around, go here. You’ll see what I mean and find yourself writing a similar review.

Fantastic experience: Ive been experiencing tooth pain all weekend. I was out and about all Monday morning. I happen to Google, dentist near me, and this one popped up. I walked in and was greeted immediately by the woman working the front desk. She politely asked what brings me in today & I told her. I filled out some paperwork on the computer. I told the receptionist that I was in severe tooth pain, and If I can be seen today, it'd be perfect. Mind you, I drove around to 5 different dental offices before I found them. Beechwood was patient with me and was able to get me in and checked out. Thank you to Dr Tang, the dental assistant, & all the staff who were hands on deck to get me taken care of. Most dental offices were booked out. But they showed concern & had open availability today!! Thank you again so Much! I will continue to use you guys as my primary dental care. Thank you guys so much.

I love my hygienist, Janet, she is always so easy to talk to and she shows me what my x-rays look like as she takes them, which I appreciate. I haven't had that experience else where. Dr. Tang and his assistants Gabby and Shawna are wonderful. I'm high anxiety, and they are always so patient with me when I have to get work done. Gabby at one point during my filling noticed I was shivering and got me a blanket. I was so surprised! That's treatment I wouldn't expect anywhere, except maybe at my grandma's house. The team here really, truly, cares!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Beechwood Dental! Nicole made me feel welcomed as soon as I walked through the door and got the ball rolling! As I a new patient, I did have fill out some paperwork, which isn’t my favorite. However, Gabrielle was super helpful, patient, and nice! She also helped me find my way out at the end of the appointment because I definitely was about to go the wrong way. Once I got to the chair, Janet walked me through the process, I could tell I was in good hands for my dental exam/cleaning. At one point I got really relaxed, closed my eyes and I genuinely think I could have fallen asleep with more time(I tried to stay haha). Dr. Tang is great! A couple things that really stood out to me was that he asked what was more important to me (longevity, aesthetics, etc) and asked my preference on how I like to receive information (straight to the point or thorough). He helped with a plan to get to my goal, in a way I understood and wasn’t overwhelmed with new information. Looking forward to my next visit!

Fantastic experience: My hygienist, Denise, is fantastic. For years didn't enjoy the dentist but she helped me improve my brushing and cleaning so much that it's now a breeze.

Fantastic experience: I went in for my regular teeth cleaning. This is not easy for me as I have some long running mouth issues. However the hygienist Denise is very good at minimizing discomfort as she carefully works her way around my mouth. I was preparing myself for the worse but Denise did a good job at relaxing me. I then met Dr. Tong for the first time and I thought he was very professional and knowledgeable and gave me a good examination of my teeth . He relieved my anxiety. They made this a comfortablle place to visit. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Carol Ammerman, New Albany,IN --patient Hygienist Denise Kruer did amazing, thorough xrays, examining, cleaning& polishing my teeth. She is extremely professional, experienced& is always pleasant during my 6 mos. visits. I appreciate the new tooth brush& cleaning suppplies I received. Dr. Tang did a visual oral of my mouth & a brief check of my teeth. At checkout. I was given a statement of the procedures done today, but the name, account #, home address, next appointment info. were for another patient. The issue was corrected after my phone call, & a correct copy arrived in the mail yesterday. Thank you very much for your services.

Fantastic experience: Denise the dental hygenist is the best ever. She puts me at ease and explains what shes doing the entire time. My blood pressure is usually a little up just because its the dentist..Denise always talks to me to calm me down we can joke around and laugh before she starts the cleaning She knows I dont like to have the chair in the down position too much. She starts to clean my teeth and several times asks how ya doin?? She is very gentle with the "pick" and does an excellent job. When she sees that Ive done a good job on flossing and keeping the far back teeth clean she says GOOD JOB and when she spots where I could do better she has a very gentle nice way of telling me how to do better. Dr Tang and his office staff are very nice too and for a great hygenist see Denise SHES the best

Fantastic experience: What a great office, very clean, I have never waited longer than 5 minutes, my cleaning and exam were thorough and everyone was friendly. I have a TMJ issue and Dr. Tang explained what may be happening, after some diagnostics. We are still in the diagnosis stage, but based upon the procedures thus far, i am confident Dr. Tang will have a solution!

I see Dr. Tang he is very gentile and also cares how you feel about your teeth and smile. He is takes his time explaining the situation and each step he doing. He also makes sure the costs or time needed for these procedures are something you can handle. The hygienist is also very pleasant and cares! All the staff are very friendly and help in any way they can. They even have a menu of things to help make you comfortable at no cost. Beechwood dental is the best! If you need a good dentist who cares please give them a try. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have never felt so welcomed to a medical office of any kind in our lives. Dr. Tang, Dr. Harper, and the entire staff are so friendly and accommodating. They immediately put you at ease and want to make sure you are comfortable. Dr. Tang kept me informed on everything he was doing as he worked. He answered all my questions and explained what additional work was needed. He told me what to expect pain wise over the next few days, how he thought my mouth would feel for a few days, and to contact them if that wasn't the case so we could take care of it quickly. Ir's been a week and I am feeling no more tooth pain. Something I never thought I would say about dental visits... I'm almost giddy about my follow-up visit in September! Fantastic experience: My first visit there. I went because of their good rating on here and wanted a change. Very welcoming and friendly and I mean ALL of them. I had a VM the day before my appt. and Dr. Tang was checking to see if I had any questions, etc before my appt. Dr. Harper treated me. Shook my hand before and afterwards. He didn't seem rushed like my previous dentist. My wife also went at the same time for her 1st visit. Dr. Tang treated her. I waited on the lobby .......... he came out there to introduce himself and THANK ME for coming to them. I'll just say that ratings they had that made us go there was TOTALLY DESETVED. We made tge right choice !!!
