Fantastic experience: Doctor Byrd and Kat were very good to me and too my son. My son had autism and it's hard to find a good dentist who can help work the sensory issues he has. It's even Harvey finding a dentist who takes medicaid. They were very informative, helpful, understanding, and took the time to come up with a better plan for my son's teeth. They showed where his teeth were that needed to be fixed and how to they were going to do that without putting him under. We are definitely going back and will continue to go to them from now on. It's an hour drive from my home, but they are totally worth it. Dr. Alex was awesome work my son. I recommend this place to anyone who has a child that has special needs. They were awesome with me son. Love them so much. I am more than willing to travel from Statesville to Gastonia to visit with these wonderful people. Totally recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Negative experience: My children did not have a good experience. The hygenist kept spraying the water more on the cheek, so much so that my son's jacket got wet. She was very clumsy. When she took xrays, it took far too many attempts because she just wasn't getting it right. The other hygenist on my younger son was extremely rough and didn't care at about the pain she caused on his gums. It is unfortunate to have to put children through such terrible service. It is people like this that gives us reason to find a different dentistry. This clinic use to be good, but I don't know what changed in a span of 1 year. They do not have kind employees here.

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love the Gastonia office. My son had to get his first tooth pulled (stubborn baby tooth that just wouldn’t come out) and he was terrified. The dental assistant and dentist did everything they could to make him feel comfortable while we were there. Grateful for these women and for what ended up being an easy visit.

Fantastic experience: They are wonderful to deal with and do a great job in working with my Non-verbal autistic daughter. Let me go back with her to keep her calm. In the past she has had some really bad experiences with dentist. I would highly recommend for anyone with special needs children or young adults.

Positive experience: Normally, our visits there are good, but this last time, my grandkids complained about how rough the hygienist( African American women) was, very aggressively hard when working with them. I'm not sure if I will bring them back.

Fantastic experience: Customer service is great I love the environment. The only issue I have is that there is no online portal to manage appointments, see history, and we cannot have the documents to pre-fill them out before getting to the appointment or filling them out online.

Fantastic experience: Our visits always go well! A couple years ago, we changed to Charlotte Pediatric Dentistry because they were able to get my daughter in for dental surgery asap! This week my daughter had a toothache- they saw her the same day. She had an adult tooth pushing a baby crown out. They gave her laughing gas and pulled it out right then. I recommend this dentist. They have several locations, so that’s a plus!

Fantastic experience: I love love love this dentist office! Katheryn aka Kat is phenomenal best hygienist in the county! When it comes to a dentist/doctor omg Dr Byrd is the BEST in the game! She was so patient with my baby! She explained to him exactly what she was doing and how she was going to do it. She was VERY patient with him and loving towards him. Really changed his attitude towards dentist and calmed his fears and worries when it came down to going to see a dentist! This dentist office really changed the game for me and most definitely my 11 year old son

Fantastic experience: It was my son's first time at this dentistry. We we're greeted by Kat who is the hygienist of this office. She gave us a tour and I like the layout of the office. She was so kind to my son. Doctor Byrd gave an initial exam and asked us several questions about this health and diet. At the end of the visit, Kat provided a sticker and ball to my son. We enjoyed our first visit and felt that we found the pediatric dentist for him.

Fantastic experience: If I could give a 10 star review I would. The front desk/staff, clinic, and just overall experience was absolutely amazing!!! Kat, Caitlin, and Dr Byrd gave my 5 year old and 3 year old the most amazing attention and care that a parent could ask for. I will never take my children anywhere but here, I would recommend them to anyone and everyone with kids. A HUGE THANKS to everyone that works there. You guys are awesome!

Dr. Byrd and the dental hygienist Kathryn are super friendly and take their time to explain treatment, procedures and proper cleaning to your child as well as the effects of not doing so. I can’t not stop speaking highly of Kathryn she is the best I’ve never had such a great experience in a dental office my daughter doesn’t like having her teeth brushed but Kathryn was able to make it a great experience for her.

Negative experience: Looking for a new dentist. My child has been going to this place for years and it just keeps getting worse. This is not the first time that I have been waiting for a call back for weeks now in reference to my childs treatment and this is after speaking with the new office manager. At least the last office manager would make sure issues were addressed and was knowledgeable.

Negative experience: Both of my children are sick after visiting! The one that had treatment fell ill after treatment. It’s going on 3 days and they are still in pain, mouth bleeding, and unable to eat solid food comfortably. After calling and asking a few questions the next day about the sickness my child is experiencing, they said it wasn’t normal for the sickness, but some pain from site of treatment and that the office consulting manager would call me back to discuss further within 2 hrs or the next business day. Well all that’s come and gone. No contract yet. I suggest cleaning the play areas or close them off if not possible to clean periodically through the day. My child is only 2 and I can’t break his fever now. He was just there because his sibling was getting treated. I’m not very happy about this experience because I do all I can to ensure they are safe and healthy. They went in there healthy, and both fell ill within 24 hours. -update to my first post, my kids and I have strep throat, one of them tested positive for COVID, and one has Scarlett Fever with Rash!! After being on antibiotics for 24 hrs, now I have Scarlett Fever with Rash. The worst part is it’s freaking rare in adults. SMH! This is the first issue I’ve had with this office, and it will be my last. I’m switching back to the Charlotte office. It’s a longer drive, but I never had any problems there. My son skin looks like leather or reptilian. I don’t wish this on anyone. It’s really itchy after getting over the fever that’s impossible to control, lack of appetite, etc. The hardest thing is being a housewife that can’t take care of yourself or your children because you’re as sick as they are, maybe worst. But thanks for the dental work, teeth look great! He’s just getting over the infection that he has in his gums. It’s been a week!!! I’ve been a mother for 17 years, and none of my children have experienced anything so horrible from going to a medical facility. You go to medical places to get better, not contact disease and viruses to spread to your siblings and household. I’m sorry this is so long, it’s just nothing I can do to bring my 2 yr old to any peace or comfort from the Scarlett Fever. Oatmeal baths and lotion! Lots of prayers

Negative experience: Front desk was not nice, I have been going to the Davidson location and they always great us with a big smile, I going to move to the Gastonia location but I think I am going to keep going to Davidson, even if I have to drive 40 minutes

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend the Gastonia location enough. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We brought our 15 month old for the first time and she’s been less than enthusiastic about anything medical. Needless to say, this was no exception. She screamed and clung to us but the staff, hygienist and dentist at this office were fantastic. Their main concern was my daughter’s comfort with the experience. We’ll be making our way back in 3 months and hoping to make some progress each visit until she’s comfortable. As a first time parent this is uncharted territory for us and always makes me extra anxious. I’m just happy we found such a wonderful office.
