Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with my experience at this facility. During my MRI in June 2025, the technician pushed on my shoulder because I was told I was too small, and I subsequently suffered a significant shoulder injury that required extensive treatment and months of physical therapy. I filed a claim and provided extensive medical records documenting my injury and treatment. Despite giving them multiple opportunities to review my records and reconsider my concerns, I was told they would not review them. My concerns and documentation were dismissed without what I believe was a meaningful review. I should not have to undergo additional medical treatment because of an injury that occurred during a procedure at a medical facility. What has been even more frustrating is that, after providing documentation and repeatedly asking for my records and concerns to be properly considered, I feel that I have been completely dismissed. I will NEVER return to this facility. I plan to share the complete story, based on the facts and documentation, because patients deserve to know about the experiences of others and to understand how concerns like these are handled when something goes wrong. Zero stars wasn’t an option, because that is what I would have given.

Negative experience: I scheduled my annual mammogram appointment at the 10 Plum Street location. The scheduling experience over the phone was pleasant, and the representative clearly explained the next steps. On the day of my appointment, I arrived approximately 13 minutes late due to difficulty finding parking in the full garage. Upon entering, the front desk receptionist checked me in and stated she needed to confirm whether I could still be seen because of my tardiness. During this process, she and a colleague appeared to be laughing and exchanging comments while discussing my appointment over the phone, which felt unprofessional given the nature of the visit. I was then asked for my prescription script, which I unfortunately left at home. Initially, I was asked whether I could retrieve it, and I explained that I live approximately 40 minutes away. I located a photo of the script on my phone, but it was dismissed, and I was instead handed a Post-it note with an email address to send it to. Shortly afterward, I was placed on the phone with another staff member who proceeded to ask me questions that had already been completed during my pre-check-in questionnaire and at the time of scheduling. The conversation repeatedly referenced a 2021 appointment, including discussions about prior results and additional documentation they stated was needed. I was informed that only a standard screening could be completed despite my ultrasound request. Mammograms are already stressful experiences for many women, and being repeatedly questioned about past appointments and prior results while sitting in the lobby only added unnecessary anxiety and discomfort. Additionally, the request for documentation and clarification should have been communicated during a confirmation call or prior to the appointment date. I never received any confirmation outlining these requirements. My scheduled appointment time was 10:40 a.m. I arrived at 10:53 a.m., submitted the requested email confirmation at 11:17 a.m., and was still waiting in the lobby at 11:32 a.m. without resolution. Unfortunately, this was the worst mammogram experience I have had. I previously encountered issues during another visit within the RWJBarnabas Health system that required managerial involvement, and this experience reinforced my concerns. Based on these repeated experiences, I would not return to this location nor recommend it to other women seeking care.

Fantastic experience: They are the best!! They saved my life 13 years ago. They gave me a heart transplant and have been taking excellent care of me since then.

Fantastic experience: I visited this center for pre op testing for surgery. This is the most professional group of people who are genuinely concerned about their patients being. All my tests ran smoothly thanks to Moses and Francine who completed blood tests. Both are organized and efficient making the process a breeze. Nurses Erika and Evelyn were very thorough and kind in teaching how to get through the upcoming surgery. The same goes for the nice tech who performed the ekg. All are wonderful caregivers and I appreciate them!

Fantastic experience: From the second I walked into the facility I was taken care of with care and consideration. Check in was seamless, I was then sent to the 2nd floor where I expressed concern about being with a newborn and if I could by any chance get seen asap- It was nearly seconds I was called into the room and the doctor came in right away. Dr.Davis was simply amazing. Ultrasound was 123, she was kind, professional, quick and most importantly positive during the entire exam. She delivered good news and we all went about our day happy. Thank you Dr.Underberg-Davis & staff. We are grateful.

Negative experience: If you're trying to book an appointment, it might be better to visit in person. The phone booking app is frustrating. I really had to go to the office myself, and the lady who helped me was very nice.

Negative experience: I have had over 30 mri's in my life.. this by far was the worst ever. The machine and table were horribly uncomfortable and the technician did not understand that not everyone can bend like a 22 year old 5'6 120lb person. At one point he told me my discomfort was because I was tall, im 5'10, that's not tall!!!!!!!! He was clueless which totally added to my torturous appointment. For this condition I typically drive 2 1/2 hours into NYC for the Mri...I had hoped a NJ medical university would compare to a NYC hospital, but I was wrong. I find it interesting how companies with crappy service Never send questionnaires......

Negative experience: Came in for a 9am appointment. No one was atthe front desk. Was called on my cell phone to get registered on the second floor at 945am. I even checked in previous to arriving. Really bad system they have here. A lot of updating needs to happen with the process.

Positive experience: Very caring and professional service.

Negative experience: Front desk it's nice and helpfull, however get the results that is another story, I'm already 5 business days post my stress test and still my results are not read by the doctor. Try call, Noone try to help you just hangout on you you can be on the phone two hrs with out any help

Negative experience: As I write this, I have been on hold more than 36 minutes, waiting for someone to pick up so I can book an appointment. Is the money they save with so few schedulers taking calls resulting in lower patient fees? The recorded message says to set up your appointment on the University Radiology web site, as if everyone has access to a computer.

Negative experience: University Radiology did not send me the 3 bills that you say you sent me. But I called and paid the dues in full. Still Americollect is calling me and sending me mailers. Is this a stress test you have developed for your patients?

Negative experience: I came for my appointment and arrived 15 mins prior to my MRI, the front desk was very pleasant and really nice, & she informed me to take the elevator down to the first floor and wait until I am called. I am currently in the waiting area and I been here for 1hr and 15 mins and no one has called me in yet. I politely asked a gentleman walking by about the delay and he stated it will take another 25 mins for them to call me in since they are behind! Never in my life Have I waited this long for an MRI. I took my break from work to come here since it’s right across from RWJUH but I never would I refer anyone here or do this again.

Fantastic experience: Rarely do you encounter an overall exceptional experience in a medical appointment. All staff members were welcoming, professional, and caring. They put the patient first by listening to my concerns, explaining what the procedures would be and checking in as to how I was doing all through the process. A big plus for me was, THERE WAS NO WASTED TIME! Next to their professionalism, was the efficiency they demonstrated from registration through saying good-bye.

Negative experience: I was trying to reschedule my appointment.The lady who was on the line was very arrogant and impolite.after her questions she just disconnected phone call.as your customer I think you should make more costumer service training for your schedule department .she was very rude to me.

Positive experience: My prescription for the chest xray needed more information they had me going back and forth to get the right prescription with the doctor's address. The front girl receptionist told me to call the doctor's office and have them fax over the correct prescription for the chest xray, I called several times and even left messages. This is something a receptionist should have done instead of me doing her job! Finally I went back to where I had an EKG done and spoke to a nice gentleman who helped me and called the doctor's office and asked them to fax over the prescription with their address. All this time this young lady had me doing her job, she could have done it instead of me stressing myself calling and leaving messages for the office nurse to get back to me.

Negative experience: The technician who performed my ultrasound was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the duration of my visit. She didn’t even greet me when she called me back from the waiting room. She made me feel very uncomfortable. The other staff, however, was great.

Fantastic experience: I scheduled an appointment online this morning and was fortunate to find an opening the same day. Dennis, the MRI technician who administered my test, is absolutely top-notch. He made sure I was completely comfortable, asked if I had any questions and did everything he could to ensure the procedure went effortlessly. I've had my fair share of MRIs and I can say he is certainly one of the best out there. He is a valuable asset to University Radiology.

Negative experience: Completely unhelpful. They incorrectly scheduled me for an MRI when I requested an MRI Arthrogram so they sent me away after waiting 2 weeks for the appointment. That sucks but I understand mistakes happen. Called again to schedule a new appointment when I got home and the lady on the phone refused to tell me their available appointments unless I called and got an authorization number from my insurance even though I was able to setup my last appointment just fine with only the order from my orthopedic. I called Atlantic Medical Imaging right after and signed up for an appointment with ease, I highly recommend staying away from this place.

Negative experience: Be prepared for the most rude welcome at the reception. Especially the lady that sits in the far right corner. She has a permanent frown on her face and I think it’s her life mission to make everyone annoyed around her. She has zero compassion and no respect for anyone.

Negative experience: Called from a Doctors office trying to get a report and they were extremely rude, as someone who works for a doctor, I would never speak to anyone calling our office the way the employee there spoke to us. I would give no stars if I could. I will definitely never use them for my family, we will be going to Princeton Radiology, at least the staff there are friendly and helpful!!

Negative experience: Muy mal el día viernes fui asacarme sangre me dejaron muy feo mi brazo y aun sigue así ..morado y hoy fui aver que me decían y solo me dijeron ponte un paño con agua tibia y así seteba quitar..y otra que me hiso la traducción le dijo que balla a emergencia y la enfermera dijo no todo esta bien.. ya si le duele mucho en tonces que balla..si necesita fotos para verificar lo que digo..yo las tengo. Ya ni el la chandler o tro lado me dejaban así como ahora

The facilities are great, it's super close to mass transit and an easy commute by car, and the staff is top-notch. Everyone there is always friendly, accomodating, and compasonate to the needs of people who need to climb in an MRI machine for an hour or more!

Negative experience: Terrible from the transporter desk!! I left all info in my survey for University Radiology!! Transport lady was very indignant about sending a transport to help and assist an outpatient who is a 74 yr, young female who couldn’t make the long trek across the hospital to the attached bldg. Operated by University Radiology. Bothe Bldgs don’t talk nor share services between each other I’ve learned.! Therefore the attendant at both radiology Bldgs pushed me back to where I needed to go. I waited 20 mins in the wrong bldg for transport who never showed up.thats when the tech herself pushed me to the other bldg, And afterwards my ultrasound in University Radiology , the tech called transport and it was a long drawn out commotion of who and why!!!! This situation calls for major investigation little things ignored become big problems later.!!! Transport should assist Any ongoing or outpatient who requests service . Not questioning who have you this number, who told you to call transport??? I will expect communication from University Hospital regarding how I was treated during my visit to the hospital!!

Negative experience: They forgot to put the lead bib on me until I reminded them, didn’t even adjust the screen they were using as a bib and it only covered my legs, and did not show me the xray after waiting forever. Do NOT go here. How do they give these people medical licenses?!?

Negative experience: No fue la mejor experiencia, no comprendo por qué dan una cita donde la programaron con la unidad médica que atendió el accidente de tránsito, la programan a las 7: 15 de la noche, la confirman con mensaje de texto, la unidad médica me entrega los documentos solicitados por University Radiology... y sorpresa duro hasta las 8:00 de la noche solo para decirme que la documentación está bien, pero no me podían atender por que no sabia que seguro iba a pagar el EXAMEN DE LA PIERNA, le digo que si puedo pagar de mi dinero que no se puede...Que falta de respeto y de hacerle perder tiempo de trabajó...mi pregunta para que le dan una cita???...Si no saben a quien cobrarle...teniendo comunicación y programación con la unidad médica que atendió el accidente de tránsito...se aprovechan del tiempo de la gente!!!

Fantastic experience: I went to University Radiology at Plum Street today for a brain and spine MRI. I can't adequately articulate how the staff was kind, knowledgeable and friendly. I would like to point out in particular, Dennis, Yolanda and Kathy. They were supportive and patient with my concerns. This is not the first time I went to this location and once again the staff was professional, the offices clean and the process is always very organized. Thank you again to Dennis, Yolanda and Kathy.

Fantastic experience: The positive- I was taken in very quickly . Techs and Reception staff are always friendly at this location. The only negative- The I-pad/kiosk was annoying to say the least as it asked way too many questions, they didn't give you an option to sit and complete it and the font was very small. *Pre-registering didn't help because they say they are going to send you a confirmation code to your phone or email and it never came.

Negative experience: Went there for a biopsy in 2021 for a suspicious lump in breast found in an ultrasound. The pathologists completely misdiagnosed my cancer type which would have led to unnecessary chemo and her2 therapy. Luckily I went to Sloan for a second opinion and they caught their error immediately. I will never go here again.

Fantastic experience: The experience that I had yesterday in UR at Robert Wood Johnson was one of best . The two technicians were very professional, sweet and caring.

Negative experience: New Brunswick location cancelled my husband's appointment without a call. The nurse supervisor is inconsiderate and clueless. This is the worst location to visit

Fantastic experience: I came in today 10/28 for my appointment for a pelvic ultrasound. I was early and nervous because I really needed to use the restroom but was instructed not to go the restroom prior to the ultrasound because the bladder needs to be full. Even though I was early for my appointment, they took me back ASAP so I could do the first part of the procedure and use the restroom. The women at the front desk and the tech Melissa who performed it were so nice! Thank you!!!
