Fantastic experience: Had a very welcoming experience for my first visit.

Fantastic experience: This team is the best. You don’t feel like a number and they ALWAYS greet you with a smile. They are amazing.

Negative experience: Would give zero stars. Quoted us nearly $2000 worth of unnecessary work. Went to another trusted dentist who recommended no work.

Fantastic experience: I told Dr. Lee that I have a massive fear of dentists but I needed 2 extractions on the same side, one too one bottom. He understood the assignment!!!! I didn't feel ANYTHING, he explained everything as he was doing it, his assistant was calm and understanding and helped me stay calm. They both explained what to expect after and how to care for the wounds in the coming days. I will definitely be going back for all future dental needs.

Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency appointment to fix a chipped tooth. They offered a same day appointment and were able to get me fixed up and on my way in less than 20 minutes! So easy! The only issue is that the exam bays are not very private, but the staff does a good job working in the space they have.

Negative experience: Went in for fillings and had significant complications that was bringing me into the office every week post-op for months. Eventually after 5+ visits, 4 months, and no relief, another provider has to give me a root canal and redo my fillings. Nice staff but I wish they’d listened and not dismissed me the first 4 times.

Fantastic experience: Last year I visited West Main Dental. This is the first dental visit in my life. Fortunately, their team didn't rip me off. The cost was reasonable, and my toothache had gone away since I got a deep cleaning and 6 fillings.

Fantastic experience: Staff all seem very helpful and friendly. Dentist and dental technicians appear to be very thorough, organized and knowledgeable. Upfront about the cost too! I really appreciated that aspect of my initial visit.

Fantastic experience: An incredible dental team. The dentist is professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and doesn't make you wait. The hygienists are incredibly kind no matter how well you've been able to take care of your teeth and will do their best to support you and give you the treatment you need while also helping cultivate home care habits without instilling shame or guilt. I didn't take great care of my teeth while coming here for years and they did a great job helping me and now that I'm finally doing regular home care they've been super supportive and helpful making me feel really proud of myself. They know how to help with a variety of issues! I have needed a variety of types of care from them over the years and the service is always top quality. Fantastic experience: My dental visit went smoothly. I was impressed by the teamwork between the Dentist and his assistant, as they worked together as one. Both seemed confident and knowledgeable in demeanor. Also, the he new facility is nice, which lends to the overall friendly atmosphere.

Negative experience: Beware! I've taken my two kids (now 15 and 17) to West Main Dental for about 10 years. We liked it for many years, but recently (2025), every time we take our kids for a cleaning we're told they have 2-5 new cavities. I asked how our kids could have so many cavities when West Main claims to have properly sealed their teeth and they said, "Oh, that happens, sometimes the sealer falls out." I took both kids to my dentist (who I've gone to for 20 years) and she said there was decay under most of the sealers, which means the teeth weren't prepared properly before the sealer was applied. My son had 5 cavities under the sealer and my daughter had 8! No wonder the sealer was falling out. Now I'm paying to have all improperly applied sealers removed and replaced by a competent dentist. West Main Dental really failed my kids. Use West Main Dental at your own risk.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lee was able to get me in quickly, as I had an infected, eruption. It was pretty painful and he was able to extract this tooth. I was in and out within 30 minutes. As I had some throbbing pain he also gave me an extra shot of novacaine and I was able to work the rest of the day.

Positive experience: Review written 11/19/2024. They are friendly but they charged me out of pocket for a cleaning one time even though I have premier delta dental coverage and cleanings are covered. It was supposedly a deeper cleaning but they did nothing differently than a regular dental cleaning that I’ve ever had my whole life. Also the chairs in the waiting room are way too small for anyone who is even remotely overweight. Please add more variety in chairs for patients who are not super small. Also one time they had someone room me and give me X-rays who seemed like she had no dental experience at all, she wasn’t even a hygienist or anything she was just like a fill in or a trainee or something, it was awkward and with my extensive health history I try to be very careful every step of the way. Also the dentist barely checked my mouth at all and did no oral cancer screening etc that most other dentist’s I’ve been to do, which is sad given my cancer history. I gave them a few chances and then left to return to a dental facility where I feel like they take health more seriously.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience at West Main Dental! Rosie is a great nurse who explained everything to me very patiently and calmed my nerves before my tooth extraction. I hadn't had a tooth extracted as an adult but it was a very smooth experience. I was initially given an appointment for a week later but they were able to reschedule to that same day because my tooth pain was very severe. Thanks to all staff members, nurses and Dr. Lee! I would highly recommend this clinic.

Positive experience: Dr. Lee and his Staff are kind and flexible with treating patients who are nervous and have dental anxiety like myself. Every accommodation I've requested has been granted, which is amazing. Dr. Lee is not the most experienced of dentists and I don't have confidence that he won't miss something in his examination that shouldn't be missed.

Fantastic experience: I needed to get my wisdom tooth pulled and called multiple offices, but this dental office was able to squeeze me in much sooner. I've never had a tooth pulled as an adult so I was very anxious and Jontasia did a wonderful job calming my nerves and talking me through the process. Dr. Lee is amazing he was so quick and the extraction was painless. They made me feel like family from start to finish. Fantastic experience: I've had 3 visits and all have been good. The staff and dentist are all friendly, professional and efficient. I especially appreciate that Dr. does not push unnecessary procedures for monetary gain. I had that experience at another office in Champaign that prompted me to try West Main Dental, and I'm happy I did. I didn't disclose my reasons for leaving the other office either, which speaks to his character.

Fantastic experience: Great visit. Staff is very kind and the dentist was very honest about the hairline crack in an old crown.

Negative experience: Well, when I came in they told me that one of my previous fillings needed to be fixed. Though, it didn't really make sense to me, but I went along with it. The dentist had to break it then refill it. Well, the following day, the refilled tooth broke. I had to go back and get it refilled. The dentist accidentally nicked my tongue with the drill, which was painful and awful, and then they made me pay for the refill. Two weeks later and it breaks again. I don't think the tooth ever needed to be messed around with in the first place.

Fantastic experience: I chose West Main Dental after some bad experiences at another dentist in town. They have always listened and been caring when I was nervous or having problems. This last visit was no exception. They listened and answered questions and the dentist was so attentive. I like how the team works together!

Yesterday I had 4 molars removed by Dr. Lee. He did an amazing job!!!! Little to no pain. Only mild discomfort. He was quick and efficient.
