Fantastic experience: Christy does a great job. I always ask for her. The dentist is very caring. I had a tooth that was in question and he didn't delay in verifying with a specialist to make sure there is no problem.

Fantastic experience: I know several friends that go to CU Dentists and have all had great experiences. From the front desk staff Melissa and Katelyn and the new young lady that is there now. They always seem to have the answers and are always accommodating . They make the environment feels like home . The exceptional hygienists, have all been there for along time and that says a lot about the Dentists they work with. Dr Shorsch & Dr Scott both have a calming demeanor, easy going and also extremely intelligent. They both are always honest with me and you can tell they’re patient- focused rather than revenue focused. Today, I had a cosmetic procedure and Dr Shorsch explained it thoroughly and gave me options prior to proceeding. He wanted to make sure I was happy with the results before leaving the office. Throughout the whole procedure I never felt pain. He was gentle and always reassuring. I love the outcome and I feel like I can smile again without being self conscious. Allison was the dental hygienist that assisted during the procedure. She was so sweet and genuine and ensured I was comfortable the whole time.They make a great team. All my questions were answered. Please be sure to check out this awesome place! They make you feel apart of the family. All around great people. Overall, I had an amazing experience today and previously and will be bringing my son and referring other people as well. Thank you all:)

Fantastic experience: My first time at CU Dental - Rantoul. Very friedly, intelligent, down to earth staff. Christie was very thorough with my teeth cleaning letting me know what she was doing every step. Dr. Schorsch super nice guy, very professional, explained things very well, gave me options and ideas of costs and factored in my insurance coverage on the spot. That was so helpful. My recommendation...if your looking for a dentist, or not too crazy about the one your with, send your records here! They'll even walk you through how to do that, too!

Fantastic experience: I always have a great experience at the CU Dentist office, both in Rantoul and Champaign. Dr. Robert Schorsch is so gentle, trustworthy, and personable. He truly listens to your concerns, your pain, and your goals. I am never nervous around him!! I also loved my dental assistant, Kate in Champaign. She cleaned my teeth so gently and had a great conversation with me while I was in the chair.

Fantastic experience: Get dental care! The hygienist was very professional and personable! She made an effort to describe how I am doing with addressing my self care needs. However, when I went to pay I was told I would be assessed a 3% fee if I wanted to use a credit card! This new policy is very disappointing to me! In fact I was incensed! CU Dentist charges are already over the reasonable and customary fees of my dental plan and now they want an additional 3%. When is enough, enough?

Fantastic experience: Moving back to CU, we needed a different dentist. On a friend’s recommendation, we made appointments with Dr. Scott and Dr. Schorsch’s office. We’ve never looked back. They and their complete staff are friendly, professional, and thorough.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time going into the dentist in a very long time. Tina was very gentle and attentive to my mouths sensitive areas. Everyone was very kind and understanding and I didn’t feel judged a single bit. They also made sure to communicate clearly what was going on with my teeth. Fantastic experience: Today I had a dental exam with Dr. Ivo. It was the most thorough exam I have ever had in my 52 years. I felt that he took his job very seriously and that I was well cared for. He also explained what he noticed and next steps.... To me not just the hygienist. I am so used to just being invisible to the dentist. I have been going to CU Dentist for a couple of years. Everyone is very friendly and I have never had any issues. I recommend them if you are looking for a new dentist.

Explanations upon various topics of dental health were simple and easy to understand. Everyone I met at CU had the ability to listen carefully and truly connect with me. The entire team is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about your comfort. What stands out the most to me is how thorough they are. They take the time to explain everything clearly, answer all my questions without making me feel rushed, and make sure I fully understand my options. You can tell they truly care about their patients—not just as appointments, but as people. They’re also so thoughtful and accommodating. Whether it’s working with scheduling, helping figure out treatment plans, or just making sure you feel at ease during your visit, they go above and beyond every time.

The entire staff at CU was friendly and pleasant but my dental hygienist, Tina, was amazing. She was thorough, informative, competent but just as important she was fun to be around. Great sense of humor. It’s pretty hard to make a trip to the dentist enjoyable but they pulled it off. I can’t rate them any higher or I would.

The office is clean and had very modernized equipment. I wish I had gone sooner after my dentist retired. A one stop appointment for all my dentistry needs.

Fantastic experience: I was met by Kristin, she was very friendly and excited to meet me and to get to know me. During the appointment she carried on a great conversation yet taking time to explain the X-ray machine and cleaning. At the end of the cleaning Dr.Scott came in to see if there was any dental work I needed. In my opinion Kristin and Dr. Scott were very friendly and thorough.

Very friendly staff. Kristine has been my dental hygienist for each of my checkups/cleanings. She is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Her friendly conversations with me during my appointment make me feel like I’m visiting with a good friend while I’m getting my teeth examined and cleaned in an always thorough, considerate and professional manner. I really appreciate the dental care you all provide me. Update: My recent appointment on 5/30/24 was excellent as always. Kristine was amazing, as usual and Dr. Scott was friendly and took the time to help try to fix an issue I was having with my teeth. The ladies at the front desk were also very friendly. Thank you for the wonderful care. 12/5/24 appointment was a pleasure as usual. Thank you Kristine, Dr Scott and the rest of the CU Dentists crew for making my checkup and cleaning an enjoyable experience. 8/21/25 appointment was great. Dr. Scott and Kristine took fantastic care of me, like always. 2/26/26 checkup with Kristine and Dr. Scott was amazing. Negative experience: Very unprofessional experience. I provided my insurance information one week in advance, yet the office waited until 46 minutes before my appointment to inform me that it would not be accepted and asked me to pay $573 for a basic, routine cleaning. When I declined and requested to cancel my appointment, the front desk staff member, Melisa, abruptly hung up the phone without any explanation or apology. This arrogant and dismissive attitude made me wonder whether it may be correlated with the fact that the staff and clientele at this clinic appear to be entirely white.

Positive experience: Dental techs are amazing at making you feel comfortable and addressing any questions/needs you have. They really show they care and enjoy their work. I’ve seen a couple of different providers here and never feel like they really care about the patient. Very generic, bland interactions. Almost like they’re bored. But overall, good care.

Fantastic experience: Both of my kids had the same hygienist. She had a great rapport with both. I appreciate her taking the time to talk about flossing(better than a wooden toothpick ). It was helpful that she used a mirror for my daughter to see her gums now when they are irritated versus what they should look like. She showed concern without lecturing them. Thank you so much

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for all my dental needs for many, many years. They do great work and I always feel completely comfortable and have complete confidence in their entire staff.

Negative experience: My appointment was at 1pm. Because the dentist went to lunch until 1 pm. I sat in the chair for over an hour waiting for him. They took a few xrays which took about 10 minutes. If the appointment was at 1 and the doctor got back from lunch at 1. Why did I have to wait for an hour to see the doctor He came in finally and did a 5 minute exam and told me that I needed to redo 3 other crowns and that it would cost me over 6000.00 dollars you cannot make me believe that to replace 4 crowns would cost me that much money. I call it legalized robbery. This is happening to often these days. I am beyond aggravated but nothing I can say or do is going to change this

From the office administration that keeps me informed of when my appointment is, to the dental hygienist who did an excellent job of taking care of and inspecting my teeth for cavities and abnormalities so Dr. Schorsch can check them out first. Dr. Schorsch inspected all the areas that needed attention and developed a plan to get my teeth back in shape and a program for me to follow in maintaining and retaining my teeth for a long time to come.
