Fantastic experience: New patient experience: My sister-in-law referred me and I had high hopes that this would be a positive experience. I was not let down, my visit was great! The front office staff were proactive in assessing my dental insurance benefits, and helped me schedule my appointment for a time & day that worked for me. I waited for 1 minute and was called back to an exam room. The hygienist was gentle and careful when she cleaned my teeth. Dr. Koagel is personable, funny, and very easy going. He explained his findings in a way that was easy for me to understand and the whole process was quick. Everybody was so nice and helpful.

Negative experience: I am very unhappy with how this insurance issue was handled. I received a call from a representative who spoke to me in an aggressive tone while informing me that my husband had an outstanding balance due to difficulties confirming his insurance. When I tried to ask clarifying questions and offer possible solutions, I was met with continued hostility. I then asked whether she had spoken directly with my husband. She stated that each time she called, he answered and immediately hung up on her. I explained that this is not something he would do and began to confirm whether she had the correct phone number, but she cut me off and insisted she already had the right information. Overall, this was a very poor customer service experience. There is no reason to speak to people in such a disrespectful manner, especially when they are simply trying to resolve an issue. By the way, my husband paid the balance even though we have dental insurance. I don’t believe this is the way a veteran should be treated.

Negative experience: I went for the cleanings and inspection for years and they were/seemed great. When I finally needed dental work it was a bad experience during the work. My tooth ache that I had went for continued and my new dentist was able to solve the problem; something obvious when viewed on a large screen had been missed. In order to get records from Woodmont I had to sign a release of liability. In retrospect I see why.

Actually asked me questions about my medical history to clarify my responses. Arrived about 10 minutes early and they took me back for cleaning early. Hygienist explained everything she was doing and was very professional. Dentist listened to my concerns and explained in detail my options. Facility was squeaky clean and checkout was also flawless. Negative experience: My appointment was scheduled for 11:00am and I had to approach the front desk after waiting for 15 minutes. Customer Service is below standard and it makes you feel that you have to tolerate poor service to receive service that is needed! This is my second visit and I was hopeful things would be different. I’m seeking a new dentist office. With the proper customer service training and taking PROACTIVE steps to inform customers about delays on wait time. In addition, a friendly smile goes a long way when arriving to an office. On a positive note, I must say the dentist is the most professional and embodies a spirit of compassion!
