Negative experience: This experience was awful. I am so glad I went to a 2nd Dentist office for a second opinion. Unfortunately this dentist office is neglectful to patient care. After being seen I was told I have 0 cavities but needed a periodontal cleaning. I now go to a great Dentist office who tells me I need a regular cleaning and I do have some cavities that needed fillings and if not they would turn worse. Not only did the professionals here have no idea what was going on but the office was disgusting. The tools were rusted and dog hair all over the office. I don’t recommend this office to anyone. Please avoid this place at all costs.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, my experience with Smile Design has been very disappointing. I was a patient at the Mount Dora office for many years, but since Smile Design took over a couple of years ago, the overall experience has significantly declined. I then switched to the Lake Mary office hoping for an improvement, but my experience there was even worse. I won't go into every detail, but the systems and processes in place are disorganized and inefficient, leading to a frustrating experience as a patient. It's unfortunate because the quality of care and customer service are not what they once were. Based on my personal experience, I would recommend looking at other dental offices before choosing Smile Design. It simply wasn't worth the time, money, and frustration for me.

Fantastic experience: My experience at the dentist office was extremely excellent. I couldn’t have gotten a better place to take care of my teeth. Do everything for me. I’m an it’s nice. It’s clean the people there are very pleasant. I’m so thankful for them.

Negative experience: Pretty disorganized. Charges that arbitrarily show up months after the procedure was paid for.

Positive experience: If they had asked me to write a review on my last visit I would have rated it a 1 star experience. This review is for my dental hygienist, Jose who was actually filling in at the lake mary office from St. Cloud was wonderful as opposed to my first visit where the hygienist literally took 10 minutes to do my cleaning and was super rough. I actually wasnt even going to go in for my second cleaning but decided to go. I would suggest for them to just advise their hygienist to be more careful with their patients and better communication from the chair to front desk. During my last visit I was told I wouldn't be charged for x rays then at the front desk I was charged.

Fantastic experience: I always have a pleasant experience when coming to this dentist from the greetings when I walk to the treatments. Sami especially is absolutely amazing, so kind and makes my visit enjoyable does such a great job with my teeth and always gives me feedback and tips.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to several dentist offices in my 60+ years, this is the best. Dr L.Andujar, DDS is very nice, gentle and caring. The staff and her assistants are superb. My daughters and I are patients and highly recommend.

Negative experience: Please do not go here, sure they were all smiles and kind but I went in for an emergency a lot of pain, I was not able to afford to have tooth pulled same day and then the mood shift. So I scheduled a day for that was told I would have meds called in to help until then, and nothing was ever called in I sent a few message and got they will get back to you. How can you say you care when clearly someone is in pain and it is now almost a day later no meds called in and no response. I read reviews about them pushing for plans and money work but they were so nice at first I didn't realize .. save the time go to an actual emergency dentist if you have one

I’ve been looking for a new dentist and hygienist- I’ve had the same dentist my entire adult life & I was very skeptical for a new office and provider. Dr. A is fantastic! Listens very well, takes her time seeing each patients and doing exams. I had a cleaning with Ash and he was amazing as well. Very personable, friendly, and efficient in cleaning my teeth. I will be back and have found a new dentist office.

Negative experience: The facility is starting to age. The flooring was cracked and broken. Had to wait 40 minutes after appointment to be seen. I am sure if i was that late they would have billed me for a missed appointment. Also new corporate dentist did not understand my question as to why they were still pushing high flouride toothpaste and not Hydroxyapatite. Starting to look for new dental office.

Came for a filling and crown consultation., DEFENATLY OVERPRISED THEY TRY TO PUSH SALES OF THERE INSHURANSE PLAN, AGRESSIVE SALES TECHNIC FROM OFFICE MANAGER, ONLY INTERESTED TO SELL YOU DENTAL PLAN. $470 FOR A FULLING.... 2,500 FOR A CROWN...... came out with pain in the tooth THEY WAS WORKING ON, DONT KNOW WHT TO DO..... AFRAID TO COME BACK THERE PAID $576 IN TOTAL, Tooth start hearts this morning. they try cut corners, tried to do one Xray for $99 instead a full mouth Xray, after told them they did it right, if i know how want to fill out complaint. Never will go back again. Asked for copy of Xray never was provided one....... WILL FILL OUT A COMPLINT WITH DEP OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS. NOW I HAVE TO SEE DIFF DOCTOR TO FIX THE TOOTH THEY MESS UP.

Sami Haram, RDH, was extremely professional, detailed, and gentle throughout the entire process. I have very sensitive teeth, so I’m usually a bit anxious in my own mind about dental visits but Sami handled everything with care and precision. He took his time, explained each step clearly, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. His attention to detail really stood out. If you’re someone who struggles with sensitivity or just wants a provider who is thorough and genuinely cares about patient comfort, I highly recommend Sami Haram. Great experience overall.

Negative experience: EDIT- I have been calling them and they still can't explain. They let me know that they dont even have a billing department I can speak with. Got a random bill almost a year after being seen when I told the office I wont be seeing them anymore because I established care elsewhere. Their explanation is its just a "previous balance" with no further details.

Negative experience: Very unhappy that they made me pay for my x-rays and when I called into my insurance carrier, they said they are incorrect, and once they filed the claim, my carrier will credit me back the money, not very professional

Fantastic experience: I honestly couldn’t speak more highly of this dental office. I have been terrified of the dentist as an adult because I had never had a good experience. Even when I thought I had found a good one, I was let down and left with more problems than I arrived with. Every single person I have encountered here has been absolutely wonderful—truly top tier. They genuinely listened when I shared my anxiety and never once made me feel spoken down to about my dental health. Instead, they provided me with tools and guidance to help get my teeth healthy, and they have taken incredible care of me every step of the way. During my crown procedure, the doctor even gave me a mirror and walked me through what she was doing and why. I thought that was so cool and it actually helped calm my nerves. When I started to feel pain, she immediately stopped and did not continue until I was completely numb. I wasn’t sore afterward at all and felt just as good leaving as I did when I arrived. During my deep cleaning, the hygienist made sure to numb all of my sensitive areas. I had literally no pain during or after the procedure—not even soreness. This was such a contrast to a previous experience elsewhere where I was sore for days and wasn’t even offered numbing. I could go on and on, but I truly will never go anywhere else. For the first time, I don’t feel scared going to the dentist

Fantastic experience: I am the first to admit that I am not a fan of dentist visits but today’s visit at Smile Design changed that. They are an amazing staff that is super friendly, professional and informative. They use some of the most modern diagnostic equipment and I was able to see close up 3D images of my teeth, very cool. They put together a great treatment plan for me and im confident with their help I’ll get my teeth to better health.

However, here at Smile Design in Lake Mary the most incredible Hygienist, Sam, took care of me. He was kind, efficient, polite and took time to ensure my comfort. All the staff here at the Lake Mary location ( especially Tina) are exceptional and for as much as I hate going to the dentist ; these people have gained my confidence and I’m happy to be their patient!!

Negative experience: The front desk staff and young dental assistant were amazing and nicer than all 4 dentists that examined and worked on my teeth! I’ll leave out names. I had 2 teeth break, one immediately after I got the first one pulled by them. They tried to get me to get a crown with the first tooth that broke, over 2K, I refused and made them permanently pull it out because it was a back tooth. $500 just to pull it out! A week later, a visible 2nd tooth broke in half, that one needed a crown or a cap. I wanted a cap. The cap would have cost way less, but they said it wouldn’t last and convinced me to get a crown. Mind you, it’s over 2K! I indicated the trauma I went through as a child with many visits to the dentist and I was scared, nervous, tense and very uncomfortable. I found ALL dentist that I dealt with there, to be cold, unsympathetic to my stress and discomfort. One dentist in particular gave me an annoyed dirty look, like I was wasting her time! This after I was trying to tell her, while she was in my wide open mouth, filled with saliva, that she was causing me a lot of discomfort, hard pressure, and pain and I needed a short break! No one looks forward to going to the dentist, and they know it! All those dentists there need a lesson in being more sympathetic and caring to people’s fears and discomfort! If they can’t be, then don’t be a dentist! This place lost a patient for sure!!I will never go back there for that reason!

Fantastic experience: This office and my dentist, Leslie Andujar, are simply awesome in every way. For over 20 years I tried to get a dentist to help me fix my bottm front teeth and no one would offer any help. Dr. Leslie fixed all my old grounded down front bottom teeth and put on 5 crowns, plus fitted me for a partial for my missing bottom side teeth. My front bridge had become worn out and infected so she removed my old bridge and fitted me for a top partial. All totally painless procedures. Dr. Leslie has tremendous patience and is such a wonderful dentist. She listens and puts every effort into helping reach a solution. Now I can eat and smile. I would highly recommend Dr. Leslie at Lake Mary Smile Design. The front office staff is always happy and friendly and they work to get you what you need at a cost you can afford. I will never go anywhere else.1000 stars

Positive experience: Maybe I’ve been spoiled with exceptional dental care, but this is not my fave. The hygienist staff doesn’t seem overly well-informed and they are always upselling you on extras (special toothpaste, special mouthwash) without asking. I didn’t see a doctor for several of my cleaning visits and overall haven’t been impressed in my 3 years of visits here. Seems like the care more about profit than patient care.

Negative experience: I could not recommend this dental office to anyone. I went in the beginning of January because of a chipped tooth. I was told I needed a crown. Needing a crown turned into needing a root canal. I went back in to have the temporary crown removed and the permanent crown seated. The dental assistant began drilling my tooth after she said the dentist would be coming in for the procedure. Then she began to put the permanent bonding on my tooth as well. It wasn't until she couldn't get the permanent crown to fit that she went and got the actual dentist. I called back later that day to voice my concerns with the office manager about the dental assistant drilling and filling my tooth. I asked her specifically "is the assistant legally allowed to put anything permanent in my tooth" and was told no, she is not. I was lied to, manipulated and had an illegal procedure done to my tooth. Be aware of who is working on your teeth if you decide to go to this office. It was a 3 month nightmare I extremely regret.

Negative experience: This office has no regard for patients’ time. On multiple occasions I have waited over an hour and a half to see the dentist, just to receive low quality care that I now have to have corrected by a new dentist. Horrible practice that I would recommend avoiding if you can.
