Fantastic experience: I have been using Lake Forest family dentistry for a number of years now and have always liked them. Today however they went above and beyond. I chipped one of my front teeth at lunch. After I called them they were able to get me in directly and fix it. My tooth was broken for less than 2hours. What a great company

Fantastic experience: I made the mistake of letting 2 dentists touch my teeth before I found this office. My wife's born and raised in volusia and this is the place to go. They got me in right away when I mentioned a tooth ache they gave me the right meds and directed me to a debary endodontics next to ace hardware where I had a revision done on my prior root canal. The Debary office was able to get me in and out in 1 hour that was years ago. I'm devoted to this office all mine and my families dental work will be handled under the careful watch of Dr. Horanic. Everywhere else I've ever gone has immediately tried to drill on me or repair my cavities he's always taken a very conservative approach with my teeth. My wife has hypersensitive teeth and they've always accommodated her. The office staff is superb the hygienists do an excellent job I have 0 complaints I don't trust going anywhere else.

The doctors assistant Nicci , came to escort me to her chair and prepare me for the doctor’s visit. My Hygienist, Karla saw me walk by her office and came out to give me a cheery Hello! Then Dr Horanic entered with a nice friendly smile and whimsical humor which put me at ease ! The atmosphere in this office is always happy , friendly& professional. and made me feel like the quality of my dental & health care was their main concern.

I unexpectedly had to bring my toddler along, and they didn’t hesitate to make us both feel welcome. They were warm, helpful, and reassuring throughout the process. After just my first visit and experience with “Lake Forest Family Dentistry” I’m so happy I made my decision to change dentist. The management, professional care staff, and Dr Horanic, were extremely professional and courteous. Fantastic experience: Since 2012, my experience at the office of Dr. Horanic has been excellent. Sometimes, you get just a good dentist, but at this office you also get a great hygienist, a wonderful office manager and a receptionist. (Yes- Deb, Angela and Morgan). I had to briefly change my dentist practice, due to insurance change, but when I went to the new "other" office, the quality of care just wasn't up to par with Dr. Horanic's expertise and my Hygienist's experience in dealing with my teeth and my allergies! So back I went and they helped me figure it out! This is definitely the place to go if you want competitive pricing, acceptance of most insurance plans and just really great dentistry all the way around. Thanks Dr. Horanic and staff!!!! **UPDATE: During the course of a routine visit, I experienced a reaction to one of the propellant numbing sprays. I had to run out as my throat began to close and my meds were in my car. After that, the practice would not see me again because I walked out. This still disturbs me today, because I had no control over this reaction. He is by far one of the best dentists and my mouth was in pristine condition and since I had to change to other dentists, I am unhappy and heartbroken to be honest that my patronage will not be allowed to come back. When you have a disability you are not always in control of the situation. I’m not sure if the reason of me walking out to get meds and go home because I was def reactive, was the cause for me to have to not return or it was something else, but I never expected this from a dentist who knows reactions can occur. However, this dentist does excellent work. If you have a disability, make sure you go over it fully.

He's an authentic 'old school' professional dentist - in that he's holistic - wants to know his patients, not just their teeth. The staff is AMAZING. Each is a professional, each is responsive, attentive, and goes out of her/his way to make you feel special and comfortable. This is my favorite dental practice out of many over several decades. I even moved away from Sanford to Southwest Florida (Naples), but still came back for Dr. Horanic. I've moved to northeast Florida (St. Augustine), and still go back to Dr. Horanic. I love them all!! The hygienist was careful and let me know what she was doing at every step. Great communication. The practice was clean and I had confidence that I could appropriately distance from other clients. The dentist was Informative and gave a comprehensive evaluation. I loved that the initial visit was for a treatment plan so I could evaluate the practice before subjecting myself to a whole care plan. 100% recommend.

Negative experience: THEY ARE OUT OF NETWORK. They say they can’t use an X-ray from your previous dentist because it is “confusing”. That’s never been an issue and I’ve moved around a lot. If you’re new you need do have a first patient visit that will cost you $130 out of pocket. I felt tricked because not one person told me they were out of network. They just said they took my insurance and led me to believe it was covered. Doctor claimed my teeth were in perfect condition but starts nitpicking on my teeth to convince me to do unnecessary cosmetic procedures. Didn’t feel like he cared about the patient but just what he can get out of them. Now I need to go to a new dentist and I really regret giving this place a chance. So sad.
