Fantastic experience: Dr Korson was Amazing with our 6y daughter today. She had to extract 2 teeth, and he managed to do it in such a seamless way, I’ve never thought it was possible. She hates needles, and he managed to apply local anesthesia while she was watching the whole thing. Impressive! Would totally recommend

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing! Could not recommend enough! My daughter who is 5 needed a cavity filled which ended up turning into a crown. She was so scared and they calmed her nerves and worked incredibly fast. They were so caring and compassionate! So thankful I found such an incredible dentist to take my kids to!

Negative experience: My daughter had a traumatic experience unfortunately. She was getting a crown for a cavity and Dr Paige was doing the procedure. We tried for so long to get it done but no appointments for available for over a month. Her teeth were hurting to the point she can’t eat anymore. They finally squeezed her in so we went asap. Dr Paige was very nice but I’m not sure if she has as much experience with kids like other doctors. She and her assistant even had trouble getting X-rays last time and Dr Carter had to step in to help. A huge drawback of the facility was that they didn’t have TVs for kids to watch while doing the procedure. They didn’t even try to give her headphones to listen to music or anything to make her comfortable. If she had more distractions it would have been way better than having her fully focused on the procedure. After they put on the laughing gas they didn’t put any numbing cream on her gums. They gave her the Novacain shot right away and she was screaming in pain. Despite the pain she was brave and tolerated it. After that everything went downhill. First they didn’t even wait long enough for the effective to go in. They pretty much started immediately after the shot. They were putting equipments in her mouth to hold it open and kept hurting her. She did something that poked her gums and tongue and made them bleed. Each try was worse and worse and my daughter started screaming and there was no way to calm her down from there. She had to suffer so much and got nothing out of it except being traumatized. When doctor Carter finally called us afterwards she was unapologetic about everything and said what is said was misunderstood and they did the best they could. They could have done so many things to make her feel more comfortable and distracted from the procedure (ie putting numbing cream, providing iPad or TV, music, toys etc). Update: even though they referred us to another practice to do the procedure under general anesthesia, another practice was able to get everything done with just local anesthesia. My daughter was super cooperative for over 90 minutes. Experience with kids and good technology is so important and makes a huge difference.

Fantastic experience: My 21 month old daughter had her first dentist visit today with Dr. Iva Leroy and I cannot overstate just HOW wonderful the entire experience was. Everything from the beautiful office to the extremely welcoming and friendly staff made our visit positive, but Dr Iva was exceptional. She treated my daughter with genuine kindness and warmth and was able to complete an entire exam, cleaning, flossing and fluoride treatment! Dr. Iva was gentle, thorough and fast. I’ve literally never had a better experience in any medical setting. I couldn’t be more impressed and thankful to find such an amazing provider and practice for my daughter.

Fantastic experience: Going to see Dr. Carter and her team is always a great experience, from the kind, friendly and welcoming staff to the providers who take their time to explain everything, making sure the patient is comfortable and the parent understands what is being done and why. It’s always a great experience, As a parent of three going to the dentist before was overwhelming and challenging at times. My youngest gets very nervous and anxious and I greatly appreciate the patience and time that they take to make sure she is comfortable. The office itself is very children friendly and we can’t forget Callie, their certified dog who is very welcoming. We are very thankful for everyone at Carter smile LLC they are truly Amazing at what they do.

Fantastic experience: I can not say enough good things about Dr Carter. I brought my daughter to Dr Carter when another orthodontist had botched her mouth. Dr Carter performed all of the necessary scans and came up with a clear concise plan that was absolutely the right thing for my daughter. My daughter’s mouth now looks beautiful and I can not thank dr Carter enough for her knowledge, know how , time and generosity toward my family. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an orthodontist.

Fantastic experience: My daughter is a patient at another practice, but her dentist wasn't returning our calls at off hours so I called my dentist who contacted Dr. Carter. Dr. Carter called me and then offered to see my daughter in her office. She came in just for my daughter on the weekend. I couldn't believe she would do that for us when we aren't even one of her patients. After that experience I so desperately wanted to switch to her practice but unfortunately that don't take our insurance. If they did or if our insurance had out of network benefits we'd switch in a heartbeat. Dr. Carter was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond.

Fantastic experience: This dentist office is fantastic! We recently switched from another pediatric office and we are so glad we did. The staff was super gentle and kind with my daughter(7) and son (5) who both were usually very anxious at our last office. We are very pleased with Carter smile and would recommend it!

Negative experience: Had a terrible experience with Dr.Carter. She saw my child for a cavity on a baby tooth, which she said needed a root canal and crown. We followed her directions and did it. A few months later the tooth was infected and the root canal failed. After all that the baby tooth needed to be extracted. When asked for a refund for the failed procedure she refused. She also never mentioned that if we just extracted the tooth from the beginning (which would have cost 1/4 the price) a new tooth was very close to coming out anyways, and she wouldn't even need a space maintainer. My child went through double the pain and a round of antibiotics which could have been avoided, but Dr.Carter made her money. As a business owner, if a service was received but was a failure, you should try and remedy the situation. Instead I was met with rude pompous and unyielding behavior. Proceed with caution.

Fantastic experience: You would think that finding the right dentist for my oldest son who has cerebral palsy and my youngest son who is on the spectrum would be difficult, but we were extremely lucky to find Dr. Carter many years ago. She is kind, patient, thorough, and unbelievably knowledgeable about how to care for the most vulnerable children. I also appreciate how considerate and supportive she is with me. I've had dentists tell me that I could do a better job caring for my children's teeth. Not Dr. Carter. She shows me what I'm doing right. She supports my children's efforts in their self care as well. Thanks to her guidance, they have beautiful smiles!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Carter was amazing. My son is on the autism spectrum and struggles with sensory processing disorder. He cannot even tolerate a regular Dr. checkup. To say I was dreading a trip to the dentist is an understatement. Dr. Carter came in with such a calm demeanor and my immediately took to her. She took her time and gave him the space he needed to collect himself between different procedures. She used phrases my son could also understand such as, “I’m going to clean your back teeth and then you can do the iPad.” When he did get the iPad she calmly waited until he finished. It brought so much joy and comfort to this mom heart to know that there are good humans out there. I also would like to add that her office is gorgeous!

She persists with a playful demeanor until he lets her examine and even clean his teeth! It’s a challenge to get him to brush at home, and he still did great at carter smile.

The receptionists are so kind and go out of their way to accommodate the schedules of patients and their families. The dental hygienists and Dr. Carter go above and beyond to make both children and parents comfortable and take time to explain everything they are doing and to give clear and simple advice to better at-home dental care. Fantastic experience: My 3 year old son had a dentist appointment today and we love Dr. Carter and staff! The hygienist, Rachel, was incredibly patient, so kind, so caring and gentle with him. She let him see and feel each piece of equipment before using on him and made him feel so comfortable before doing anything. And Dr. Carter could not have been more efficient when checking his teeth, cleaning them and addressing concerns. I would recommend this office to anyone!

My kids both look forward to their trips to Dr. Carter’s office. It is perfect because she is soup to nuts coverage - dental and orthodontics. Bedside manner is terrific and soothing for kids who are nervous about anything dental related. She gets kids and makes them feel comfortable even when getting cavities filled! Highly recommend!
