Fantastic experience: I just had my dental cleaning here, and I wanted to share how genuinely impressed I am by the entire experience. I was honestly surprised by the level of attention to detail, care, and kindness from the whole staff ❤️ I was a little nervous and a couple of times I didn’t fully understand the instructions. But everyone was so patient, friendly, and kind that I never felt uncomfortable or embarrassed for even a moment. They took the time to explain everything, kept me informed throughout the appointment, and made sure I felt comfortable and cared for. The doctor also came in twice during my appointment to check on me, which I really appreciated. Nina and Ana did my cleaning, and they are absolutely wonderful!!! ❤️Attentive, gentle, and incredibly professional. Thank you to the entire staff for being so kind, welcoming, and friendly You made what can normally be a stressful experience feel so easy and comfortable. I highly recommend here!

Fantastic experience: This Dentistry Office is outstanding. The front Desk Staff, Assistants, Hygienists and Dentists are all extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Specifically Dr. Elaine Barlan and her staff are amazing. Would drive an hour just to continue receiving care from this dentist. I have had issues with previous dentists not taking me seriously with my heightened anxiety and increased tolerance to local anesthetic. Dr. Elaine is always very supportive and intentional in ensuring I am comfortable and numb throughout any dental procedures. Her assistant Nina is also wonderful and a pro at ensuring comfort throughout any procedure. Can’t recommend this dentistry enough.

Fantastic experience: 5 stars for Dr. Tran and the overall braces experience—from start to finish. The follow-up care and warranty support for replacements were smooth and reliable. However, I would avoid the cleaning side(dentist and hygienist). There was repeated pressure to get additional treatments that were deemed unecessary by another dentist that I trust. The cleaning time is spent for upselling than patient care. It made the experience uncomfortable and hard to trust.

Fantastic experience: 2/21/2026: NUMERO UNO! The best dentist office in all of Northern Virginia. An incredible combination of the front desk staff, technicians and hygienists and of course the dentists working together in a fun and professional environment creating a relaxed and pleasant environment for the patients. Can’t get any better. 9/3/2025: I was hesitant to transition from one doctor (Izzat Sbeih aka Dr. Z) to another doctor due to an insurance implications. But I was amazingly and pleasantly surprised!with the smooth transition from one pair of caring hands to another pair of capable hands!!! Thank you, Novel Smiles team. 11/18/24: Another awesome visit with Dr. S and Rebeca. This place rocks! Nowadays every time one visits his/her dentist’s office, often there are new faces working in the office. Not at Novel Smiles! The same crew since the first time I went to Novel! Love this place. 3/12/24: Fig is the best! 10/31/23: awesome visit. The new hygienist, Sam aka Fig, is exceptional. No different than my last review! Incredible in all aspect. My last review: After 16 years living in Tysons Corner area, we finally have found a dental office worth a 5-star rating. The doctors and the technicians are extremely competent, professional and personable. The office environment is lighthearted. The staff seem to be happy and to enjoy their work. We first went to Novel Smiles for our children braces. Subsequently my wife and I decided to give Novel Smiles for our routine dental cleaning and other dental needs. No regrets!

Fantastic experience: Novel Smiles is top notch for dentist/orthodontic treatments. I first went to Novel for braces for my daughter, and now back again for my son. This modern office is easy to get to in Tysons with parking right outside the front door, and a large spacious waiting room. The staff are all very friendly and professional. In the treatment rooms, you can watch the raised tv while laying back in the chair. The practice runs on time, and often runs early. I highly recommend Novel Smiles.

Fantastic experience: Excellent care from Dr. Sbeih and the experienced staff. Very pleasant service. I had a cavity and split tooth,it would need to be removed but Dr. Sbeih advised me to get root canal first,then he tried to put crown on my half tooth which is very difficult in order to avoid tooth extraction due to my osteoporosis. Fantastic experience: I was having a bad day, was running way late to my appointment (and also was dragging my toddler along with me), and was steeling myself for judgement and ridicule as I hadn’t been to the dentist since before COVID (6years) and all my teeth have moved from not wearing my retainer. But Dr Sbeih and hygienist Olympia were so kind and professional, took extra time to X-ray and assess the health of my teeth, and do a deep cleaning where they were able to lift 6 years of coffee stains and plaque—literally my teeth went from yellow to white somehow—and guys I was the last appointment on a Friday night—I’m sure they couldn’t wait to go home, but they didn’t rush with me at all. Truly felt like I was at a tooth spa. I came in making self-deprecating jokes and feeling like a hot mess, but they filled me with positive encouragement. It was literally the highlight of my day. If you’re scared of going to the dentist, or have had bad experiences in the past, this is the place to go! From the front desk receptionist to the dental providers caring for you in the back, it’s an all round positive and amazing experience. I live an hour+ away from them now, but I’m never changing my dentist. Thank you Novel Smiles! * oh and I should mention that the last time I had to have fillings was 2017/2018–i had a ton done and they were all done by Dr Sbieh— when I went in this time xrays showed them all perfectly still intact after 7 years—that’s probably why I amazingly had no cavities this time round. He is amazing!

Fantastic experience: My son had braces at Novel Smile. We were referred by a friend who was very happy with Dr. Tran’s service. My son started his treatment in July 2021 and had his braces removed in June 2025. Dr. Tran is very knowledgeable and professional—he always acts in the best interest of his patients. He could have removed my son’s braces a year earlier, but he kept them on until June to ensure the best results. The fee we paid was approximately for two and a half years of service, but Dr. Tran continued to provide care and follow-up for nearly four years. All the staff are very professional, and I highly recommend Novel Smile. Most importantly, my son is extremely happy with his beautiful teeth!

After more than 3 years of procedures which included multiple surgeries, teeth removal, temporary teeth, braces, implants, retainers you NAME it the process is finally complete and my smile looks amazing. Not that the accident was a good thing, but it was almost a blessing in disguise as my smile is significantly better cosmetically than it was prior. Dr. Sbeih and Dr. Tran are miracle workers and I can’t thank them enough!!!! The rest of the staff is amazing as well and made the countless visits necessary to fix my teeth seamless. I will recommend novel smiles to EVERYONE as they’re experts in all things teeth.

For the past several years I referred my family and friends to Novel Smiles and everyone is extremely happy with their experience as much as I am. The staffs are always friendly and responsive; never had a waiting time even when I arrived earlier than my appointment they were able to accommodate and get things done exactly the way I expected. Shout out to Dr. Tran!! He makes the orthodontic experience very smooth and no fear or pain involved. My past dentist visits always made me feel awkward or embarrassed before I switched to Novel Smiles. Even for a simple routing cleaning the staffs really pay attention to details and the comfort experience for the patient. Fantastic experience: It's been more than 10 years that I have been getting dental services by Dr. Sbeih and I cannot stop writing about him, though it is first time that i am providing my review. I am so happy with him for his meticulous dental services provided to me and cannot put all in words. He is so nice, so gentle and always respectful and very knowledgeable and skillful in his work. The office is clean, staff are always polite, the doctors are professional and extremely knowledgeable in their field and the location is convenient. I've been a patient for a few years now. I see Dr. Sbeih for my cleanings and I saw Dr. Tran for my braces. A couple of years ago, I saw Dr. Makarita for veneers for both my upper and lower teeth. Great experience with all three doctors! Professional, knowledgeable and always there when I need them (especially when I was in pain!). My smile is AMAZING! Great dentists for the entire family and perfect for all ages!

Fantastic experience: I do not make reviews often but I have to make a review for this dentist/ortho office. Dr. Tran is absolutely awesome! He is truly so nice and listens to all my concerns. I got Invisalign done by him and I still have a little bit left, but I am VERY satisfied with the results thus far. I was super insecure about my smile as I had one jagged looking tooth, and I already feel 5X more confident. Dr. Tran is very understanding and his workers are also very nice and patient. I truly appreciate good service especially when you are spending thousands of dollars on something like Invisalign. Please do not hesitate to get any dental work done by this office, they truly are the best! (POC friendly here as well!) Nothing bad to say; their office is also very clean and aesthetic looking which is another plus! They truly take care of their patients here.

Fantastic experience: Novel Smiles got me straightened out! I walked in for a cleaning and after years of being scared away from other dentists who told me in order to achieve a straighter smile, I’d have to have surgery to adjust me jaw, and enlarge the roof of my mouth, and remove teeth, Dr Tran took a look and by the end of the week I was in braces! It was a 3 year journey and I’ve had the BEST experience. I’m sure I’m their only ortho patient with ALL of my teeth. (wisdom teeth still in place although I’ve been encouraged to have them removed.) Thank you to the Drs and wonderful staff of Novel Smiles. I highly recommend this establishment. Clean, friendly and professional!

Fantastic experience: We don’t live close by, but after hearing what my youngest son’s orthodontist where we live had to say about his orthodontic treatment and price I had to come back to a place I knew we could trust, and as always it exceed expectations. It’s easy to make an appointment, parking is always available, they keep everything nice and clean. The staff greets you as soon as you come in and makes you feel comfortable. I don’t recall ever having a long wait, and this time was the same. The dental assistants are very nice and knowledgeable, always open to answer any questions. They also keep up with the newest and latest technology so you know you have the best options for your treatment. We saw Dr. Tran (my oldest and myself were also his patients about 10years ago) he’s an AMAZING doctor. He’s knowledgeable, super kind, down to earth and has the best bedside manner. My son was a little worried at first (after hearing what he needed from his usual doctor) but left completely happy and confident after his visit here at Novel Smiles, he also mentioned how much he liked everyone. You can be confident that Novel Smiles will be very honest and won’t try to upsell you. If anything they give you options on how to make things easier on you, which I truly appreciate. They are just awesome
