She also identified areas of concern which the doctor confirmed. Finally, she gave me great pointers to limit cavities. I have been going to this practice for about 3 years and am very happy with the service.

Negative experience: Wednesday, May 27th, 2026 I left the White Plains Dental office feeling horrible, overwhelmed and a migraine headache! The dentist did not numb me well, so I felt everything that was being done. Absolutely horrible and painful!!! Also I came there with the thought I would be only an hour, and it turned out to be 3 hours! From a simple procedure as a small chipped tooth that needed only a filing to a crown! Which I felt i only needed the filing. I was in pain for 2 days and my mouth is still very sore on the 3rd day. This experience has caused me to start looking elsewhere. I’m valued more $$$. Where was Dr. Roman?

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for a few years now after several bad experiences with dentists in Manhattan. They’ve treated my teeth, started and finished Invisalign, and so happy with my dental health now. They are truthful and don’t try to put you on plans you do not need. Everyone here is so welcoming from the receptionist to the hygienist. If you’ve had bad experiences elsewhere, I would definitely try here!

Positive experience: White Plains Dental Care is always good. Front desk receptionists are great and extremely polite. Dr. Roman is great and Shane is a great hygienist that pays attention to detail and shows his patients extra care. Only removed one star because there is a female dentist there that don’t quite care for (too rough), but since I made this known and the issue was properly resolved, I’d say White Plains Dental Care is great.

Fantastic experience: Amazing service, very friendly and knowledgeable. The reception staff is so friendly and knowledgeable about their craft. I felt so comfortable and seen. I was in and out quickly. I was having the worst pain and was scheduled a week away I called and told them I think I needed an earlier appointment and was told I would be put down to see if there’s a cancellation. Within an hour they called and I was in the next morning. It’s great to have a dentist's office that listens to your concerns and puts you first.

Fantastic experience: Great experience overall! Been with this dentist for almost 2 years now, and they’ve been very attentive to my gum and cavity happenings. Wait times are at most 30 minutes on a busy day around lunch. Phone call and text reminders are adequate and not too frequent. Urgent appointments for cavity fillings can be made usually within a week or so.

Negative experience: I am extremely dissatisfied with my recent visit to this dental office. I scheduled what was clearly a routine yearly teeth cleaning, which is fully covered under our dental insurance when performed by an in-network provider. I have been treated at this office before and intentionally returned because they advertise participation with our insurance plan. During this visit, I was never informed—verbally or in writing—that the dental hygienist performing my deep cleaning would be billed under a different dentist who is out of network. This information was not disclosed prior to treatment, nor was I given the opportunity to decline or make an informed decision. Only after the appointment did I discover that the services were billed under an out-of-network dentist, resulting in unexpected charges for what should have been covered care. At no point did anyone explain this arrangement, obtain my consent, or provide cost transparency before proceeding. This practice feels deceptive and unethical. Patients should not be expected to navigate hidden provider assignments or surprise billing within the same office—especially when they explicitly choose an in-network practice to avoid these exact situations. Trust and transparency are essential in healthcare. Unfortunately, this experience demonstrated a serious failure to properly inform the patient. It’s not about the money I had to pay out of pocket—it’s about the bait-and-switch tactics that were used.

From the receptionist to the x ray technician Yriel to the dental hygienist Shane to Dr Roman. Yriel was especially helpful he kept me calm and reassured me that everything was going to be alright(and it was). I am really looking forward to getting my teeth back to good health. Fantastic experience: I switched to this provider when my dentist retired because it was in my plan. Previously I had considerable out of plan costs and assumed the transfer to an in plan provider meant their dentists and support staff would be overbooked or less skilled. Dr. Shamuelov is extremely skilled . I had no pain with my tooth extraction/bone graft and no post surgery issues. His staff is extremely professional and accommodating. They filed all insurance forms in a timely manner . No delays in getting appointments. I wish I switched to this practice years ago.
