Gorrell Smiles Mountain View

Fantastic experience: Called with pain in tooth & they see me within 24hours

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of this dental practice since I first had teeth! That’s about 60 years… Over the years, two owners, Dr. Stanley Wedding and Dr. Brent Gorrell, have retired, and now Dr. Ryan Mui owns the practice. I feel comfortable here and very well taken care of. Staff is consistently kind, helpful, and professional from dentists to hygienists to office staff. I have no reason to go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service

Fantastic experience: Very kind and professional. Really helped me.

Fantastic experience: Just in 2016 I've had a tooth implant installed, a cavity filled, and two teeth cleanings (I always do two per year) at Gorrell Dental. I've been a customer of Gorrell Dental since its inception. Dr. Gorrell is easy to work with, his staff is helpful and friendly, and the office is nice and high tech.

Fantastic experience: The folks at Gorrell were great. I had a cleaning and a filling put in. The dentist and hygienist were friendly and told me everything they were doing and why. Overall, a very good experience.

Fantastic experience: Great fun staff. At chapter 2 and was able to get in really fast. The procedure was painless and prompt.

Fantastic experience: Good service

Fantastic experience: Ryan was super professional and good. He was sure to explain anything I was unclear about and just a down to earth guy. Everyone in the office was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend !

Fantastic experience: Staff is nice, Dentist saw me and addressed my problems. Have been a very long time patient.

Fantastic experience: They were very kind and helped me when I chipped my tooth while traveling. Clean office, quick and kind service.

Fantastic experience: Super friendly and professional staff. They have taken really good care of me and my teeth. Most importantly no pushing to get work (orthodontic/invis-align etc) done, unlike many past dentists.

Fantastic experience: Great experience

Fantastic experience: When my tooth broke off, this office jumped into action, pulled the root & gave me a filler tooth in a "tray" to wear until an implant could be attached. I'm so grateful that they care enough about my vanity to provide me with the tools to use during this transition. Thank you Gorrell Smiles!

Fantastic experience: Hope is a wonderful dental hygienist. Friendly and efficient. I always enjoy my appointments with her. Upon arrival, the staff is always welcoming. It is always a positive experience.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this practice for 60 years, this is the third time with a new team. The quality is always exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Five stars Awesome dentist and hygienist! Thank you

Fantastic experience: Hope is really the best dental hygienist. I've been going to her for more than 2 years now, and I would definitely recommend her.

Fantastic experience: The people were friendly, quick, and seem quite competent.

Fantastic experience: All around, felt well taken care of.

Negative experience: Not happy. The receptionist refused to take me in because I was little over 15mins late, I had missed my exit. Would expect a little more consideration, very disappointed, this is not a right way to acquire a long term patient. My previous dentist of 25 years retired, hence moved to this practice, but will be reconsidering.

Fantastic experience: Great service and care of the patient Teeth cleaning and exam were done very well by dentist and dental hygienist I would highly recommend this place

Fantastic experience: The team is great. Very kind, professional and my cleanings are a breeze. All of the technology is top notch which is a huge benefit. When you need a crown, this group knows how to get it done quickly and effectively.

Fantastic experience: Super friendly staffs and professional doctors

Fantastic experience: Long time patient at this office. Came in for a tooth filling appointment with Dr. Lew. First time with Dr.Lew who came with great recommendation. And he didn’t disappointment. Very skillful which is most important. Plus caring in how I felt, explaining each step as he worked, totally reassuring. I would recommend Dr. Lew and all the nice professional members in this office!

Fantastic experience: Warm calm atmosphere, staff was helpful, informative, and listened to my concerns. A very positive first impression.

Fantastic experience: Best dental cleaning I've been to. Clean office and device, the staff are always super nice, and magically whenever I walk in they just know who I am and check me in quickly. The cleaning is great and keep my teeth healthy. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful work on my chipped veneer

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience. The employees were very easy-going. The teeth cleaning were thorough and smooth. I had my wisdom tooth extracted here. It's smooth and I did not feel any pain at all. The recovery was fast, and I did not need to take any pain killer afterward.

Fantastic experience: Had my cleaning there yesterday for the first time and was very impressed! Thank you Dr. Lew and Lillian for the warm + friendly service - I will be coming back for all my next visits :)

Fantastic experience: Very professional, mid-size office with experienced staff. Been happy with cleanings and dental work; takes my insurance; and has explainable billing. Gives appropriate treatment options and doesn't max out your insurance coverage like other practices might. And Dr. Lew is great!

Fantastic experience: Teeth cleaning and dental checkup: excellent job!

Fantastic experience: Kenneth did my cleaning and was very detailed, doing a great job!!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service.

Fantastic experience: Caring service on my November 13th visit.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Low and Tamara were amazing! They helped my dad be out of pain.

Fantastic experience: It’s possible to have a favorite dentist. My family (and referred friends) have been coming here for 7 years. The staff is always great and a joy to interact with. I come 4+ times a year for cleaning and yet to have a bad experience. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Excellent work

Fantastic experience: Due to a recent move, I was in the market for a new dentist a couple weeks ago when a crown popped off. I went to the Delta Dental site and selected filters to narrow the search to my area... over 700 results! But when I clicked the 'Board Certified' box, only 2 left, some other office that didn't look so hot, and Dr. Gorrell's office. So, I filled out Dr. Gorrell's new patient forms online, which was a super fast and efficient process, maybe 5 minutes, and selected an appointment day/time right then and there. The second you walk into their office, you can just tell they are a modern, professional establishment! Clean, nice upscale decor, and all of the staff end-to-end throughout the entire visit were friendly, helpful, and just naturally put you at ease. I am so extremely happy to have found them and that they were accepting new patients! Thanks so much Gorrell Smiles team... you guys rock!

Fantastic experience: Can't speak highly enough of this group! The whole process was so smooth; I'd gone a few years without seeing a dentist, had 2 kids, etc and felt my teeth had deteriorated. Got back on a cleaning schedule and was recommended to have a couple of fillings done. Dr. Lew was so friendly and personable, answered all my questions, explained everything he was doing, and took the extra time to make sure everything was perfect (and finished 10 min early!). He really embodies the mantra of treating patients like family. A+ highly recommend! Am a physician myself btw and was so impressed! Thanks Gorrell Smiles team!

Positive experience: Impression of a dentist office is often based on the dental hygentist since in the best cases you only see the dentist for 10min. Clearly the office is efficient in terms of notifications, checkins, followups etc I've had limited major work done as well and that was fantastic, precise and swift. Very easy to give a great review when compared to many other dentists, periodontists, and endodontists.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding Staff!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Excellence at all levels

Fantastic experience: In the 34 years I've lived in the Bay Area, Dr. Gorrell has been my only dentist. Besides regular cleanings and the occasional filing, he's done two caps, both of which have lasted. His hygienists are competent, friendly, and knowledgeable, and he has by far the best office staff I've seen. The world jokes about the trauma of dental visits, but a visit to Gorrell Smiles is a dream.

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience with the Gorrell team.

Fantastic experience: Always a good experience at Gorrell Smiles. Joyce is the best - very gentle with teeth cleaning, but also leaves my teeth very clean. Dr. Liu is a fantastic dentist. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Very efficient. No wait time. All procedures were done on time.

Negative experience: After moving cross country, I researched a ton looking for a reputable dentist that would accept new patients. I was thrilled to see this office had great reviews. To my disappointment, my experience couldn’t have been further from those I read about online. I’ve never had anxiety around seeing the dentist, but after the hygienist spent 1.5 hours stabbing my gums and teeth, I understand why some people do! Dr. Huang then proceeded to tell me several of my teeth would need work or procedures, along with some other issues. I was hesitant that I would have so many concerns come up since I had just seen my previous dentist less than 6 months prior. After the traumatic first visit, I followed up via email asking more questions about which teeth exactly she was worried about (knowing I wanted a second opinion from my dentist at home that I trusted — and thank goodness I did). I was only then informed that Dr. Huang had left the practice (so much for a courtesy email!) and that one of the teeth she had noted was one of my wisdom teeth… I don’t even have my wisdom teeth anymore! That was the final straw and I asked to have all future appointments cancelled. I’ve never felt so taken advantage of as a new patient. If you are looking for a dentist, I do not at all recommend this practice. They’ve proved unprofessional, untrustworthy, and disappointing. I hope for future patients’ sake, their reviews can begin to reflect that.

Fantastic experience: Your kindness along with your expertise makes all the difference. Just had a cleaning and all the hygienist do a great job. "Keep up the great work!"

Fantastic experience: The staff and professional dental care at Gorrell Smiles is absolutely top notch! Personal care and safety protocols very comfortable. Along with high technical knowledge and state-of-the-art equipment all adds up to 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. The best experience ever in the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Very Friendly People, Wonderful service and pleasant environment, I was there for just my teeth cleaning first time. And was little scared, because I always got hurt every places I had been, A Dentist worked with my Teeth at this place was Amazing. I never had a such a painless cleaning experience in my whole life in other Places. Keep that up Guys, Thank you so much for giving me a wonderful experience .

Negative experience: The hygienist who was cleaning my teeth seemed to be fine. But the lady sitting in the office next to the front desk often is rude. She was not only pushy on me getting an X-ray regardless if it was necessary. And threatened me one time that if I did not comply, they would not want to keep me as a patient. On 5/28, Tues before my departure from the appointment, the front desk person asked me to make an appointment for my next visit. I told her that I would wait a little bit until I knew my schedule. Then she asked me again, so I replied if she could remind me later. Then the lady sat in the office close to the front desk jumped in and said I should not ask for the reminder with a mean demeanor as it was not their responsibility. This really took me off guard by the way she intervened in the situation. I left Gorrel's dental office immediately. and felt more that this dental office did not seem to care about their patients and was doing business with only profit in mind.

Fantastic experience: Dr Gorrell's office is the best dental treatment you can find in the Bay Area

Fantastic experience: Very cool place, professional and clear treatment plan , all was explained and discussed .

Fantastic experience: I’ve never had such a lovely experience at a dental office! I had avoided going to the dentist for a few years after a bad experience and was terrified to return - but from first meeting Araceli at the front desk and talking my hygienist Hope, I immediately felt reassured! Dr. Lew was so kind and gentle, when I returned today for a filling, I wasn’t anxious at all! They truly care for their patients and treat patients and their coworkers like family. Cannot recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: I have very good experience. High level of professionalism, everybody is kind, patient, calm. I l ike the reminder as well, it is useful.Thank you for treating me.

Fantastic experience: Very clean and well organized clinic. The staffs are very professional. My technician, Joyce, is by far the most detailed person when cleaning your teeth. I don’t have too many teeth problems but each time I needed a procedure more than cleaning it was always perfectly done. Highly recommended dentist clinic

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Dr. Gorrell since I was a young child, and I’m now in my 30s. I had to briefly change dentists due to insurance for a couple years and have tried several others—no one is like Dr. Gorrell and his fantastic team. I will always be going to his office til the end of time. Everyone is kind, honest, and helpful in his office, and the teeth cleaning process is done carefully and painlessly compared to other experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend!
