Fantastic experience: This is the best dentist and office i have had experience with. My daughter just had her wisdom tooth extracted , and we were very happy with the procedure and treatment . The whole family has been coming here since about 5 years now , and every procedure has been the best and the most professional and honest. We can really trust this office for any of our dental needs

Fantastic experience: Dr. Fonseca is an excellent dentist. She is caring and very patient. She takes the time to explain your treatment and generally makes the entire experience pleasant. I say this as a person who absolutely hated going to the dentist and had some really bad experiences. I highly recommend her office and services.

Negative experience: I am very dissatisfied with my experience at this office and feel completely tricked. This business is trying to maximize their profits by forcing patients into expensive, unnecessary out-of-pocket upcharges.When I came in for a deep cleaning, which is 100% covered by my insurance, the office flatly refused to perform the procedure unless I agreed to pay an extra $95 per visit ($380 total) for optional dental irrigation. This is not only predatory, but it also violates several patient protections and medical ethics rules: 1.Violation of Florida Patient’s Bill of Rights (Statute § 381.026): By law, I have the absolute right to refuse any part of a treatment plan. The statute explicitly states that a healthcare provider cannot require a patient to waive their rights as a condition of receiving treatment. Forcing me to accept a non-essential fluid flush just to get my actual cleaning is a direct violation of this law. 2.Insurance Contract Violations (Unbundling): This office is contractually obligated by insurance companies to provide covered services at pre-negotiated rates. They are violating their contract by "unbundling" my care—effectively holding my covered deep cleaning hostage unless I pay a separate, non-covered, out-of-pocket fee. 3. Florida Board of Dentistry Ethical Code (Chapter 466): Clinical guidelines show that pocket irrigation provides no measurable long-term health benefit over standard scaling and root planing. Claiming that this optional procedure is "medically mandatory" to secure an extra $380 is highly misleading and borders on professional misconduct. If you want an honest dental office that prioritizes patient health over sneaky corporate upcharges, stay far away from this place. I will be reporting this behavior to my insurance provider and filing a formal complaint with the Florida Board of Dentistry.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at this dentist office. From the moment I walked in, everything ran smoothly. The doctor was friendly, patient, and extremely informative. She carefully explained my X-rays and clearly broke down why a deep cleaning was necessary, making sure I felt confident and comfortable with the treatment plan. The hygienist was absolutely phenomenal—she numbed me so I didn’t feel anything, worked efficiently, and was incredibly sweet and attentive, frequently checking to make sure I was okay. The X-ray technician was kind, quick, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The front desk staff was also excellent—quick with insurance, thorough with explanations, and very professional. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a caring and efficient dental team.

Negative experience: If it were possible I would give a 0 (zero) star rating. Never have I felt so disappointed and disheartened in a medical/dental practice. My mother was a patient. She lost a filling and was told she needed a root canal and crown for that tooth, as the pulp was exposed. As a dental assistant of 15 years, I have some knowledge regarding these types of procedures, and I ~suggested~ that perhaps they could put a sedative filling and resin on that tooth, and then if the tooth hurt we could look into the root canal (the tooth wasn't hurting). When we asked about this alternative treatment the office manager Luis began screaming and telling us we had no right to tell them what to do. He did not allow us to even speak. My husband had to come on the phone to request he lower his tone and allow us to express ourselves. Never have we seen someone in this type of position act so unprofessionally and disrespectfully. I acknowledge I am no dentist, but simply looking out for my mother's best interest. He informed us they could not do the sedative filling, and that a root canal was necessary. I live about 4 hours away, and I told him we would go ahead and proceed. But unfortunately, they decided they would not help/treat my mother. What a shame that this is the type of office that would put pride over patient care/satisfaction. Attached find a picture of a treatment plan charging for the use of a dental dam which is a standard part of a root canal treatment and should not be charged separately. All I can do is shake my head and hope that no one else experiences this level of disrespect. UPDATE: In response to the owner's reply and to clarify some matters, please note that I acknowledged that I am not a dentist, and I do not know as much as a dentist would. My issue was not with the dentist of this practice, as I had no negative interaction with her. Rather the issue was with the office manager Luis who was very disrespectful and unprofessional. He has no phone etiquette nor customer service skills. It amazes me that he even has this position of leadership in this office. When I simply suggested alternative treatment, he exploded in rage. Keep in mind that he is not a dentist either and clearly he has no care for patients / family of the patient who are trying to come to an agreement for the best treatment course.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending Bright Smiles for the last few years and I’ve always been treated extremely well. In fact on my last visit yesterday the dental hygienist did an amazing job at cleaning my teeth and Dr. Fonseca did an exemplary job at evaluating them and giving recommendations. I recommend Bright Smiles of Sunrise wholeheartedly!

Fantastic experience: Never have I ever had an orthodontist get me in so quickly! I called on Tuesday because I was in pain, and they scheduled me for the very next day. From the moment I walked in, the office felt so welcoming, modern, clean, and comforting. The staff is truly the sweetest… seriously, AMAZING! They noticed I needed multiple wisdom teeth removed, but I was nervous, so they started with the one causing the most trouble. They explained everything clearly, set the right expectations about aftercare and pain levels, and took such great care of me. I felt completely supported the entire time. I’m already planning to come back to finish the rest, and I’m referring a friend who needs dental work too. This is officially my new primary dentist. If you’re thinking about going, DO IT. You won’t regret it! ✨

Fantastic experience: We took my husband to Bright, smiles for some dental work since we live in New York and don’t have the greatest dental insurance. I have to say this is one of the nicest and best dentist office I’ve been to. The staff is wonderful and the doctor is absolutely amazing. They were very accommodating to us since we travel back-and-forth to see them and the work that was done is outstanding. The doctor is compassionate, very knowledgeable And a wonderful personality. I would definitely recommend this dental office. I’ve also made an appointment for myself, which I will be having some work done while I’m here.

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth pulled at Dr. Fonseca’s office yesterday and had the most amazing experience. She numbed my gums before she put the novacaine in and shook the side of my gums to the point that I did not even feel the pinch from the novacaine. She said I would feel a little pressure and then to my surprise the tooth was out in seconds. I did not feel any tugging so I was pleasantly surprised when she told me the tooth was out!!!! Another thing I noticed was that I did not have to wait for the novacaine to numb me. I was numb in what felt like ten seconds. The staff was friendly, pleasant and accommodating. The office is beautiful too!! Thank you for a great experience Doc and staff!!!

Negative experience: STAFF WAS VERY SKETCHY AND CONFRONTATIONAL IN REGARDS TO ME SIGNING AND AGREEING TO AN OVERPRICED DEEP CLEANING … EVEN THOUGH MY INSURANCE WAS COVERING THE COST I KNOW A ROBBERY UPFRONT WHEN I SEE ONE… WHEN I ASKED ABOUT COST THE FEMALE STAFF WERE VERY RUDE AND DISMISSED ME OUT OF THE OFFICE IN A PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE MANNER WITH STRONG RACIAL UNDERSTONES… WHICH MADE IT VERY CLEAR THE AFRICAN AMERICAN IS NOT WELCOME IN THEIR DENTAL ESTABLISHMENT WHEN THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME TREATMENT AND SENT ME AWAY… NOT TO MENTION THAT I CANCLED ALL MY OTHER APPOINTMENTS TO GO THERE AND JUST GET RESCHEDULED AND DESCRIMINATED BY THE LATINA STAFF MEMBERS WHO ARE ALL LATINA BY THE WAY AFTER THEY WERE DISCUSSING JUST SENDING ME AWAY IN SPANISH … VERY RACIST STAFF!!! Maybe this will change their attitudes by me bringing their true character to light ….

Negative experience: The lady at the front, Melissa I believe her name was, is very rude. Whether on the phone or face to face, she acts like you’re bothering her every time, and that’s not a good feeling at all. Not sure if I’ve called at the wrong time or came in at the wrong time, but She just always seems agitated. It’s not welcoming.
