He always works with me on price for my dental insurance cost and all other needs. Wouldn’t go anywhere else best dentist the county has to offer. Top notch work highly recommend!!!

Positive experience: I have a treatment plan in place with Dr. Singh for extractions, implants, crowns, and gum work. Although hesitant to continue as a patient at this office after all the changes since Dr. Dworkin left, I took a chance with Dr. Singh. During consultation I felt very comfortable and at ease, and was happy I met with him. I proceeded to schedule having the procedures done a few days prior to a two week vacation. After giving it some thought, I decided I felt most comfortable having the work done after returning from the trip. It was simply a personal preference. I called almost two weeks in advance requesting to reschedule the appt. until after my return. I immediately felt like I was inconveniencing them with the reaction I received from the front desk. I was told multiple times how canceling for that date would essentially mess up Dr. Singh's schedule for the day. I was put on hold and someone else got on, without introducing herself she asked "what's going on Trish?" in a teacher to kindergartener tone of voice. That set me off after already feeling annoyed and confused that my appt. date request was not well received. After some back and forth I was told I was now speaking with, Dr. Singh's asst., who was lovely at our first meeting so I was taken back that simply rescheduling was such a big issue. I explained what I wanted to do and was met with pushback that felt disguised as care and concern. I was even asked if I was changing the appt. due to "dental anxiety." If I had dental anxiety I would've never made the appt. to begin with and paid $1500 for the temporaries. It was overall a very uncomfortable conversation and I felt forced to keep the original date. I'm not sure what the issue was with postponing until my return when I, the patient, would feel most comfortable. I was then switched back to someone else who reluctantly proceeded to reschedule the appt. I was asked when is good for me and I stated anytime from July 16th on. She told me he has nothing on the 16th and said nothing else. I said again, anything from the 16th on. She didn't seem eager to help and so at that point I said let's just put this on pause until further notice and I ended the call. Dr. Singh did call me a few days later and left a message stating per his staff, he understood I had some questions and to give him a call back to talk. I had no questions at all, I simply wanted to reschedule. I'm disappointed with how this turned out because I was excited to get this work done with Dr. Singh as well as some future procedures we discussed as well. However, now I feel like maybe my treatment plan was about making quotas by a certain date, because if a patient wants to reschedule a procedure to an alternate date, then what's the big deal? It should be welcomed and not questioned by multiple staff members, especially for a $15,000 out of pocket treatment.

Fantastic experience: Dr Arun is amazing. I went in expecting a tooth extraction, but he recommended the best treatment for me. The procedure was quick, painless, and professional. He is friendly, polite, caring and the his staff are wonderful. This is the best dental office I've been to,and I highly recommend Dr Arun and his team .I actually look forward to coming back for my root canal because I know I'll be in great hands. Fantastic experience: Never felt so comfortable in a dental office the way I did here. I was extremely nervous going in for a minor procedure and starting from the front staff to Dr. Singh and his assistant they made me feel at ease. Not to mention we had a few laughs during my root canal. They are the best. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to a dentist in 10 years. I was extremely anxious and embarrassed. There's a lot I can say... To keep it short, I have never come across a more kind staff. My hygienist, Debbie, was patient and understanding; she even offered me a stress ball. Dr. Singh makes you feel comfortable and explains what's going on without judgement. He goes above and beyond for his patients. Every person who has helped me has been wonderful. I have been recommending this office to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Growing up dentist use to be scary and terrifying, here at Southern CT Dental Ansonia, all the thoughts of that are gone. I've been coming here for 2 years and only can say great things, from the staff all the way to the dentists, they truly care and are passionate about each other and we as individuals that walk in the door. They are honest, and don't sugarcoat anything. I met Dr Singh late last year of 2025. He was totally genuine, honest and truly cared to help get me all fixed up. All I can say is I've had work done before and always felt nervous and pain. With Dr. Singh I sat down in the chair and 30 minutes flew by like it was nothing, I even turned to him after and said that's it! Awesome staff and professional all around if you are truly looking for a new dentist that you can trust be comfortable with and not feel judged, I highly recommend going to see Dr. Singh of Southern CT Dental in Ansonia, you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: Southern CT Dental Group Ansonia has a new Dentist and I couldn’t be happier. Dr Singh is so personable and really helps you feel at ease. He’s honest and straight forward too which I find super refreshing because my last dentist did a lot of/recommended a lot of unnecessary work or referred me out elsewhere for certain procedures, but Dr Singh does it all. Highly recommend. They’re always on time too which is nice.

Fantastic experience: My Father is a New patient to this Dental Office. Deborah the dental hygienist is great. She answered all our questions. Then we met Dr. Arun Singh, DMD and once he looked at my Fathers mouth and x-rays he referred my Father to a Periodontics office, a Dr. James Pucci, DMD to look at his jaw since the x-rays showed bone loss being he is 70. No dental work or cleaning could happen till he is seen by a Specialist. We will all know what the Specialist recommends to move forward and be in contact with Southern Connecticut Dental Group after that appointment. Great visit, friendly environment, and clean office.

Positive experience: It’s been a little since I’ve gone to the dentist since I ended up with an illness that caused severe iron anemia and required lots of infusions. From the result of the illness it weakened my teeth. Dr. Singh was so comforting, understanding and compassionate, the staff made me feel very welcome. I highly recommended this dental practice ❤️

Negative experience: I had been going here since I was a child but ever since Dr Dworkin left the place has plummeted. It went from a Dental office that had the best interest of the patients dental health to an office that's focused on hitting a quota whether or not the services are even needed. You can tell there are a few who care and want to do the right thing but have their hands tied by corporate. I switched to Smile in Shelton and it was such a better experience where I trust my teeth will actually be taken care of.

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient here for years. Last month, I was told they don’t have a pediatric dentist for my child. 3 weeks ago, I sat 37 minutes in the waiting room on my lunch break just waiting to be called into the exam room. Lots of unprofessional chatter among the office staff. The doctor is chumming it up with the secretaries about bringing donuts next Monday. When I went to the exam room, confidential information on the screen regarding paid claims and unpaid claims for the office were on the computer screen. This was my second fitting three molar partial. The doctor said I’m finally going to have teeth. He thought that was a bit funny. But I didn’t think it was funny when one of the teeth from the partial dropped to the floor and bounced around. My appointment last week was canceled on me while I was there at the office. Finally, I went in for my final fitting of my partial and it fits like crap. It stays stuck in the right side of my teeth, and is so cumbersome. I feel like I have those quarter machine goofy teeth in my mouth when I talk. I told Dr. Singh while I was there that it felt weird and he dismissed me and told me that those were molded to my mouth. No adjustment. No checking to see what I was complaining about. No trimming. Nothing. I paid a lot of $$$ for my copay, and now I get a call that I owe them more $$$ for a non insurance approved X-ray that they took of my teeth at the start of this “project”. I already had x-rays they could’ve used from earlier this year! I have to pay more for an oversight on their behalf, AND deal with this unprofessional new doctor? What in the world happened to this place? Dr. Dworkin ran a tight ship when he owned the practice. I miss Dr. Gadzick who brought the right energy and professionalism to the place. The dental office might appear to be the same, but it takes one quick and bad experience to realize it is not. My series of unfortunate experiences is my deciding factor in finding a new dental practice. I’m highly disappointed, and will not return.

From the moment I walked in, the receptionists were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful and went the extra mile to obtain my previous X-rays and records. They made the check-in process smooth and answered all my questions with a smile. The hygienist was so sweet and gentle, and she made sure I was comfortable the entire time. You can tell the staff truly care about their patients and take pride in creating a positive atmosphere. It’s not often you say this about a dental visit, but it was genuinely a pleasant experience. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: My visit with my hygienist Tamara was good, but the front desk person, Monet (I think that’s her name), looked so stressed out. She didn’t seem like her usual self, and it was hard not to notice. The poor girl really looks burnt out and could use some support.

Positive experience: Hygienist was great; a temp named Julie. I've been with this group for approximately 20 years, and have been pleased until recently. I am not a fan of Dr. Graserstein (sp?). She's given each of the 3 members of my family treatment plans that would cost over $10K out of pocket. Perhaps our teeth have changed in the past 2 years, but I find this a bit excessive and unaffordable.

The dental assistant who took care of me not only understood that I hate the dentist but she sympathized with me. She made me feel comfortable and explained everything and listened when I had something to say. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who hates the dentist.

Negative experience: I paid $82.00 at time of service for a 15 minute consultation after they moved my appointment up by 30 minutes to 4:00 , I arrived 15 minutes early because i was never there before and they still didn't take me until 4:30 and charged me $82.00 for a 15 minute consultation which I paid only to receive a additional bill for $63.00 . I checked with other Dentist offices in the area and they charge $75.00. My time is valuable also. Sadly I can't rate less than 1 star

Positive experience: Everything went well, but no “goody bag”. They usually give a new toothbrush and samples, but not this time.

Fantastic experience: My dental cleaning went well today. Laura, the hygienist spoke to me and asked questions and explained what she was doing as she did it. I rarely appreciated that aspect of my visit. Then the doctor came in and examined my teeth and made suggestions for future visits and care.

Negative experience: This office used to be great when Dr. Dworkin was running things. Since he left they have been going downhill. Every time you go in there there are new dentists. Why all the attrition? Their new dental director has an awful demeanor and personality. I can't speak for her dentistry but I won't let her touch me. Their hygienists are good but lately they seem like they don't want to be there. They recently gave me a referral to an endodontist in Fairfield which was out of my network with no alternatives. I went to their other location in Southbury for a crown and they were 100%better. In 2025 I will be going back to Dr. Dworkin as he now has his own practice.

Negative experience: I have been seeing Deb, my dental hygienist for a long time and she deserves five stars. However I saw the dentist Dr.Graicerstein. I had a 3 pm appointment with her. She didn’t come into the room until 4 pm. Her assistant put me into the room and asked what I would like to see on the TV. I said can you put on Hocus Pocus, it was on in the waiting room. She said something about streaming and just kept the tv on the same channel it was on. I don’t know. I just used my own phone. No one apologized for being late. I was there to get fitted for a crown. I want to say that I have had many dental procedures done including a former crown on the other side of my mouth. The dentist started by ramming in a plastic circular device, stretching my mouth and my lips which were dry and then started cracking. It was not pleasant, it really hurt. I was told not to move my mouth. She began drilling. At the same time her assistant kept spraying the water into my mouth on the tooth. I was told that there was a lot of heat generated by the drilling. I was told not to move or swallow but a big amount of water kept pooling in the back of my mouth and I felt like I was drowning. I’m a mouth breather but that shouldn’t matter! The air that comes in still has to go down your throat to the trachea (windpipe) I don’t know if the water pressure and the amount of water was so great the suction couldn’t keep up with it. The temporary crown is rough on both sides and my tongue keeps going there. I absolutely didn’t experience any of this when my previous crown was done by a different dentist. One more thing you should know is when you go in to the office you have to pay for the service before they even bring you to a room thus this forces me to go back. I have already paid for the service.

Fantastic experience: Received a cleaning from Ayisha who was very friendly and professional. Ayisha did an excellent job on cleaning and was very thorough. She is also very knowledgeable and provided recommendations on how to care for my teeth.

Negative experience: First of I will start by saying that the office really needs to be more organized and get a better scheduling system. I had an appointment on 8/14 at 4:30 that I received a confirmation email. Arrive at the office 10 minutes prior to my appointment, give the receptionist my name, and she tells me that they do not have me on the schedule. I show her the confirmation email. Another receptionist tells me that they have been having problems with their system for sometime, and doesn’t know how I received a confirmation email. She then proceeds to tell me that they are short a hygienist and there are no doctors in to even exam me. I said ok what now? I have a cracked tooth that is bothering me and I made this appointment weeks ago. She said I can get you in tomorrow at 10am. I said ok fine. Now its 8/15, I go back for my appointment. See the doctor, Dr. Graciestein. Doctor asks me what’s going on. I proceed to tell her, and she didn’t even know that’s what I was there for. Now mind you the hygienist already took X-rays, but of the wrong tooth in question. So the doctor said we need an X-Ray of that tooth now. Doctor looks at the tooth in question and says oh yeah that doesn’t look so good. Well no crap, thst is why I’m here!!! (Didn’t say that to the doctor). Doctor then tells me you need this, this, this, this done. And you have an infection. After the doctor explains what the proposed treatment plan would be, I ask well are you going to prescribe anything for the infection? She said no the tooth has to come out, but we have to figure out all your insurance details first. I have an infection, but you won’t prescribe an antibiotic to stop the infection so it doesn’t get worse, we have to go over insurance details instead. Really didn’t make sense to me. I then go to the receptionist and they tell me that they are wait for their IT to verify or upload insurance information, so they could not give me an estimate of what the treatment would cost me out of pocket. She said we will call you when we have that information. Finally get a call back around 330pmans the receptionist said my out of pocket payment would be around $1600. I said wow that is a lot, even with insurance. I said do you offer so type of payment plans (I don’t know about Some people, but I cannot just come up with $1600 out of pocket and I do not have any credit cards). When it comes to something like that The office should be willing and able to work with you on a payment plan where you could pay so much a month but they don’t do Not saying it’s their fault, but it’s something that many offices should look into. On their website, it says they take patients Without insurance, So how would a person without insurance come up with $1600? It just doesn’t make sense. I then proceeded to see another dentist the same day, And he told me completely different treatment plan than what this doctor told me And my out-of-pocket expense would only be $325. So I don’t know if this office is trying to make money by giving Treatment plans they don’t need or what just seem very strange that two different dentists will give two different estimates on treatment plans for the same issue. And to not prescribe an antibiotic for an infection so the infection doesn’t get worse and spread seems very disturbing and not proper care.

Fantastic experience: Southern Connecticut Dental Group in Ansonia is absolutely fantastic. I had a lot of dental work done in 2023 and a little going into 2024. The results have been great. The staff is phenomenal: very friendly and organized. They also use modern procedures and make you as comfortable as possible. Lastly, they keep the patient informed very well regarding what they plan to do, what they are doing and any next steps. I would highly recommend Southern Dental Group to anyone seeking the best dental care.

Fantastic experience: This office is great. I usually dread going to the dentist but everyone here is so nice I don’t mind anymore. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Graicerstein is amazing. She’s so nice and her work is perfect. Plus she can do all procedures including implants. After repairing my tooth, I scheduled a cleaning. The hygienist made it fun and my teeth felt so clean. I highly recommend trying this practice!

Dr Graicerstein spent so much time explaining what was happening with my mouth. Positive experience: I was very happy to have an emergency appointment scheduled so soon after I called but I waited in the waiting room for 30 minutes! I would understand if they told me they were squeezing me in but I was told they were having a staff meeting. Why didn’t they just have me come in later! I think I will be looking for a new dentist as my dentist has left the practice.

Negative experience: I started at this office due to convenience of location. I began my Invisalign journey here last year. Since then I have had good and bad experiences with the staff. The most memorable experience which prompted me to write this review is a very bad customer service experience which I had today with one of the staff. She was confrontational and rude. The experience made me wish I had never started with this office. Now I feel trapped because I paid for the Invisalign service in advance and I still don’t know how long I have left. In addition, it is very hard to set up an appointment because the orthodontist staff is rotating in multiple offices. What this translates to is that I had to call 3 different numbers to set up an appointment in 1 circumstance. The staff at this dental office referred me to another location who then referred me to another location with no results. I then reached out to orthodontist staff who asked me to repeat the same process. The experience was consistent with an unorganized staff who did not know how to coordinate patients. Overall I had a bad experience because of their lack of communication, mediocre customer service, and inflexible schedule. At this point I wish to get my trays and finish at this office as soon as possible so I can transition to another dental office.

Fantastic experience: My first appointment was yesterday 5/28. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The dental hygienist was very nice. She was thorough when doing my x-rays and then cleaning my teeth. I would recommend anyone to this location. Thank you Ayesha and I'll see you in December.

Negative experience: Usually I have a great experience here and have no problems but this time around it was not. I made my appointment 6 months in advance to get my routine check up and cleaning but a day before my appointment, they call me (I was thinking it was a confirmation for my appointment) but they needed to either push my time another 2 hours back or just cancel the appointment for another day. Mind you I had my work schedule was made with this appointment in mind. I changed my whole day’s schedule to accommodate the change. Their reasoning was that they original hygienist no longer works there but wouldn’t you contact all the appointments done with that particular employee as soon as possible? Secondly, I come in and Alisha(?) welcomes me and introduces herself and she was very nice and pleasant. However as I sit in the chair, I notice there is TV monitor in the room and some type of movie is playing. Very odd. Never have I seen this at a dentist office. I get my X-rays done and Alisha goes to the monitor which is normal but I notice she clicks on some google/yahoo news and reads something and then after a few minutes switches to my X-rays. Another odd behavior in my opinion. My teeth cleaning begins, as she scrapes the tartar off my teeth, I notice she gets distracted and watches the movie AS she is scraping my teeth and slightly nicks my gums…I have a very high pain tolerance but this was disconcerting. This not only happened once but a couple of times throughout my cleaning. I don’t know about anyone else but I think this is highly unprofessional and shows the lack of focus on the patient. Not to mention, they are handling sharp objects in a patient’s mouth so why would you not pay full attention to them rather than watch clips of a movie? Again they hygienist was polite and nice but the actions was in my opinion very unprofessional.

Negative experience: My husband had an appointment the end of April for a cleaning....at the end of the appointment, the hygenist (not sure what her name was because she never introduced herself, she was not personable, had no chairside manner, did not even speak to him and was extremely rough during the cleaning) Not a good way to make an impression on brand new patients. She proceeds to tell my husband that the dentist just left for the day, he's going to need to make another appointment for his exam. Not sure how you can just up and leave when you know you have patients waiting. He gave the benefit of the doubt and proceeded to schedule another appointment for an exam. Proceeds to schedule the appointment and told Michelle that the only time he can come in was Monday afternoons after 3pm. Totally disregarded what he said and kept cutting him off mid sentence every time he spoke. He finally was able to get another appointment for Monday, May 13th after 3:00pm. The following week, Michelle proceeds to contact me to let me know that she had an opening on a Monday for 12:30p.m......I explained to her that my husband told you more than once, he has a job and can't make appointments until after 3:00. She was not very pleasant and cut me off when I tried to speak. Last Friday, May 10th, he needed to cancel his exam because of his work schedule. He contacted the office at 3:36p.m. and was told by Michelle, "please hold as I need to change computer screens".....after almost 10 minutes of being on hold, he hangs up and calls again at 3:45.....no answer, the recording to the answering service picks up.....he hangs up again and dials the number (3:52pm) and gets the recording to the answering service again, he's on hold till 3:58pm when he decided to hang up. I call the office from my phone and a human being from the answering service picks up only to tell me that the dentist office has closed for the weekend! Michelle didn't want to deal with rescheduling his appointment so placed him on hold, never went back to him, turned the answering service on and closed the office.....unacceptable!!!! Maybe Michelle needs to find a new line of work because receptionist is not for her especially if this is the way she speaks to patients and handles the front desk. I told the answering service that they can not only cancel his upcoming appointment, but they can cancel his 6 month appointment and my upcoming 6 month appointment as well. I would never set foot or do any business in the Ansonia office or have any kind of dental work done nor would I ever recommend anyone to this place. The only reason I gave one star is because I could'nt leave the review without one...other than that, they are a zero.

Fantastic experience: Going to start by saying that just the thought of going to dentist scares me and gives me anxiety. I just had the best experience here with the hygienist Iesha! She made my experience there amazing and I actually am feeling hopeful about fixing my teeth after smoking for 20+ years! She talked me through everything which was much appreciated. Even the change of the young ladies at the front desk nice to see, they are welcoming, super nice and knowledgeable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible client care. I was denied annual cleaning twice while there as a client. The first time the dental hygienist convinced me that I needed all these x-rays and that was the reason why I couldn’t get my annual cleaning . The second time I scheduled the annual cleaning and got to the appointment and they said I needed a scaling and that they had canceled my appointment. I was overcharged on all my services, which I didn’t realize until I got the bill. I used Sunbit to pay for their services. So I end up paying extra for finances charges for money that they owed me. Lastly, I went in for the final step before I get my crown and the semipermanent cap or whatever broke, they canceled my appointment. Do not use them

Positive experience: Dr. Lindsay G., and the dental assistant ( her name escapes me for the minute ), Our true professionals, they were very concerned about my well-being, and treated me with respect and humor. It was a great experience I would recommend them to anyone needing dental work. thank you

Negative experience: $145 (with insurance) for sitting in a chair for 40 minutes for a “Wisdom tooth removal consultation” with 5 minutes max of “consulting” to get a note that lets me go to an actual surgeon. I would love to know how we got to that $145 price lmaooo

Negative experience: I’m giving them a star because Debra did a wonderful cleaning. That’s the end of it. The family feel I used to get when going into this office is long gone! Let me go back a bit. Back in November of 23, I was having pain in a tooth. After a checkup I was told that I would need a crown. Okay, almost 2k$. Paid my out of pocket cost of almost $600. Finished my crown in December. In January I received a bill saying I owed almost $600. Checked to make sure that my payment went through with my credit card (it did) and figured they would catch up next month. Statement came 3 months later same issue. I called the office. Office manager could not find my payment. I told her the date and the amount I put on my credit card. She called me back 15 minutes later and was able to find the missing payment. See they changed software and they were having problems. So coming back to today. I go in and while Debra is doing my cleaning she notices a something with a filling. A dentist comes in and takes a look and here we go again. She recommends a crown! I’ve heard that crowns are being pushed. Fool me once…. I will not be back.! I’m leaving the family.

Negative experience: Would not recommend..went from having no problems with my teeth to needing deep cleanings ..felt like it was all about the $$ not about the patient!..switching dentists asap!
