My experience has been exactly as I had hoped! Tropea tans provides detailed instructions and guidance on how to prepare for and maintain your tan. The staff is extremely sweet and welcoming, the business suite is clean and quiet. I’ve had no issues with finding side street parking. The tan itself is a natural looking bronze color and not orange at all. I also find it pretty forgiving - for one of my spray tans, I messed up and had accidentally put on sunscreen prior to the appointment, AND got hit with some rain drops on my way out - I was convinced I’d ruined the tan , but to my surprise it still came out basically flawless! Would 100% recommend Tropea Tans to anyone looking for a natural, quick and easy tan!

Fantastic experience: I received an amazing teeth whitening treatment at Tropea Tans. It was my first time so I didn't know what to expect or if it would actually work, but my technician took the time to explain the entire process in detail and everything was super clean and sanitized. The room was cutely decorated with a flower wall which made for an awesome Instagram photo op! I was in and out in under 35 mins and my teeth lifted 4 whole shades with no sensitivity! I will definitely be booking again and recommending to everyone I know :)

Positive experience: My spray tan was super patchy and spread onto my clothes even after showering multiple times. I’ve had 25+ spray tans prior and this usually isn’t how they look + I followed after care instructions exactly so not sure what happened. Appt also started 15 mins late (but I wasn’t busy so that was fine.) Studio and staff were nice, was just disappointed to have paid $75 for a tan I didn’t feel good in. I do see lots of good reviews so could’ve just been an off day or something.

Negative experience: Deceptive, unprofessional, and completely out of line. I originally called just to book an appointment and use the sessions I believed were still on my account. Like most businesses with memberships, I assumed unused sessions would roll over. Instead, I was told that I had forfeited everything the moment I canceled — something that was never explained to me when I signed up. The employee who read me the contract conveniently left that part out. When I questioned it and voiced my frustration, the staff became rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Then, unbelievably, they accused me of threatening them, which was completely false, and actually threatened to file a police report against me — all because I wanted clarity and to make use of what I paid for. They expected me to continue paying for a service I was barely using, and when I canceled, they took everything I had already paid for. How does that make sense? How was I supposed to use up all of my sessions before canceling, especially if I wasn’t coming in regularly? It’s a setup that benefits them, not the customer. This place is shady, aggressive, and untrustworthy. They rely on fine print, poor communication, and intimidation when they’re called out. I’ve seen other reviews where they mention “checking cameras” and “logs” — so by all means, feel free to review the footage and verify that your employee never once told me my sessions wouldn’t roll over. I’d welcome it. Save yourself the time, money, and headache— go somewhere that treats their customers with honesty and respect. Your response is a perfect example of the problem. Rather than taking any accountability for how poorly this was handled, you’ve chosen to discredit my experience, minimize my concerns, and paint me as aggressive — simply because I expected clarity and respect. That’s not professionalism. That’s deflection. Let’s be clear: I came in expecting to use services I had already paid for. At no point during sign-up was I explicitly told that canceling my membership would result in losing all remaining sessions. That detail matters. It’s not a “fine print” technicality — it’s a core condition that should have been clearly communicated up front, not buried in a contract and skipped over in conversation. Instead of owning that lack of transparency, your staff doubled down with condescension and false accusations. I did not yell. I did not threaten. I asked for answers and expressed my frustration — which I’m fully entitled to do when I’m denied services I believed were still active. To twist that into a narrative of your team feeling “unsafe” is insulting and dishonest. If your business truly valued honesty, you’d take responsibility instead of rewriting the situation to suit your narrative. You can keep hiding behind policy — but don’t expect customers to stay silent when they’re treated unfairly.

Fantastic experience: My daughter got her first spray tan (rapid) for prom and I was very impressed. At first I thought it was too dark but once she rinsed 2 hours later , it was perfect! Chiara was very pleasant , friendly and did a great job. It came out even and looked so natural! I am now going to get one myself just for fun!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good words about this place. I have been going here for 5 years and will NEVER go anywhere else. The owner Chiara genuinely cares about each and every one of her customers and wants to see them look and feel their best. As for the staff, they are the sweetest most amazing girls who make me feel extremely comfortable every time I come in. I promise you, you literally cannot find the hospitality, prices, comfortability, or the naturalness of the tan itself anywhere else. Also the tan itself lasts 2 weeks on me and the color is absolutely beautiful. If you are thinking about getting a tan here DO IT you will not regret it.

I usually get the rapid spray tan and it always looks amazing. I moved to rockland and still travel to Westchester just for my spray tan bc it’s worth it!

The color comes out so naturally and everyone compliments how well it's done. The spray tan itself comes out completely even and has a natural golden brown glow to the complexion.
