Negative experience: I was very disappointed. The dentist spent 5 seconds with me. I had a crown come out and one glance from the dentist he said the whole tooth has to come out. The hygienist was new. I felt like he didn’t know what he was doing. He polished the teeth then cleaned (scraping and digging). He gave me plan water to rinse with no mouth wash at all. Thank goodness I carried mints. Looking for a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Dr. Grunseich was amazing. With 44 years of experience, he explained everything so clearly and thoroughly in a way no other dentist ever has. He carefully examined my teeth and gums and provided me with an excellent treatment plan, including fillings and a deep cleaning. Today’s visit was wonderful, and even without a whitening treatment, my stained teeth already look much whiter. I truly felt cared for and confident in his expertise throughout the entire appointment. Negative experience: All of the dental hygienists, staff, receptionists, and the dentist were very kind and welcoming. However, my experience getting fillings was not the best. One of my fillings was done poorly, which caused a high bite. I returned to West Dental for an emergency appointment, and while they adjusted my bite, I continued to experience extreme pain and sensitivity when eating foods of any temperature. A few days later, I visited another dental practice where they redid the filling and buffed it out, which made it much more bearable to eat. This whole experience was very painful and very stressful.

My exam was extremely thorough and the cleaning was excellent. You can really tell the team cares about their patients and takes the time to do things right. I’m genuinely looking forward to going back and I already know this is a dental office I’ll be with for a long time. Highly recommend WestDental.

Negative experience: The staff are nice and wait time is low. The dentist is great too. My biggest issue is billing. I was told a certain cost that I agreed to and signed off on and paid. A month later I received a bill in the mail for $200. I called the number on the email to inquire and they confirmed I have an outstanding balance of $200 and I explained I paid $103 in person already which is the amount I signed off and agreed to. So I thought my fill ins would cost me $103 and it was actually $303. She said when you sign it’s just an estimate and not the exact amount. She advised me to get a pre-authorization for a more accurate number in the future but that makes me upset because that should’ve been done in the first place. It shouldn’t fall on patients to ask for this to be done. They have handled this very inappropriately. I appreciate transparency and unfortunately they failed to deliver that. Be careful when they give you price estimates and be sure to ask them to do pre-authorizations before agreeing to do anything.

Negative experience: The dentist himself is great but the scheduling is atrocious and the people on the phone have an argumentative tone. Randomly received a text message that my appointment was rescheduled. Didn’t mind the date or time. Even called them to confirm I would be leaving work early to attend. Next morning, I receive a voicemail that my appointment has been cancelled. Called the office to verify the next availability that would align with my work schedule and see what had happened. The lady on the phone had an ATTITUDE while saying the hygienist did not come in. Understandable that things can happen, but it’s very unprofessional to have someone clear their schedule and then you tell them the DAY OF. Initially loved this place and even recommended it to one of my friends, but they also had a terrible experience with the front desk (and we BOTH do admin work in a hospital). Don’t expect your appointment to ever actually be confirmed. This has happened multiple times. There needs to be some reform with scheduling because this is ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: The G in Dr. G stands for the GOAT Finding a great dentist is hard enough, so I’m genuinely happy to have found Dr. G and his amazing team. Dr. G is my dentist and he is excellent. Dr. Kim, the pediatric dentist, and Roberta (hope I got the name right!) were both absolutely AMAZING. My son’s first appointment was scary, but Dr. Kim was incredibly patient through the tears, explained everything step by step, and made him feel safe. He ended up doing great. The front desk staff is wonderful as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend West Med Dental to anyone. See you soon for my cleaning

Fantastic experience: Dr. Paul Grunseich was great. Attentive when I told him I hate needles and although he had to use one I felt 0 pain. Heals a great sense of humor and made sure I was ok throughout the procedure. I’d recommend him to anyone I know. The hygienist there is AMAZING!!! The best cleaning I’ve ever had with ZERO PAIN!!!

Negative experience: What I would say: I have no complaints about the dentist; he was very informative and made the crown procedure pleasant. However, I’m extremely disappointed with the front desk staff and supporting office staff. After my procedure, the dentist told me that if I felt any discomfort, I could come back. A week later, I returned on a Friday afternoon because I was feeling a lot of discomfort only to be informed that I couldn't just walk in since the Doctor was booked the entire day. I was told I needed an appointment to be seen. I agreed and was given an appointment for Tuesday at 12:30 PM. On Tuesday morning, I received a call offering me an earlier appointment at 9 AM. I explained that I couldn’t make it because I had arranged my work day around the 12:30 PM appointment. I was then told that the slot had been given to someone else since my concern wasn’t deemed an emergency. I was offered a 5 PM appointment instead. At this point, I expressed my frustration, noting that it was unacceptable to double-book my appointment and expect me to drop everything for the new slot. I stated that I would not be returning due to their unprofessionalism, especially after paying a significant deductible. My concerns yet to have been addressed!

Negative experience: I am one of those people who never write complaints but this time I do it because I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. I do not recommend this place at all. I went to have my front teeth filled because they were a little separated and the “dentist” left them further apart and with a hole in the front teeth. I told him to give me a mirror because he hadn’t even offered it to me, it was clear that he didn’t want me to see myself in the mirror and when I saw the horrible work he had done on me he told me that they weren’t separated and that they looked more natural that way, to this day my gums hurt because they were hurt.

He's seen it all, and it's apparent that he keeps up with the latest developments in the state of the art/science, which gives you, as a patient, a great deal of confidence in your treatment. Fantastic experience: When I say the best dental office in westchester I mean that. I had an emergency with one of my tooth and I called I instantly got an appointment. The morning of the appointment I get another phone call from the office and they actually told me to come earlier. I was like wow I like this place already. Negative experience: Jose is great!, first dental cleaning, that i dont feel pain. All great. All the staff is great , friendly and very professional. If i could give you a,minus 5 i would. My wife started with you a dentral process. The worst experience. You charged insurance for something not completed!! Now have to go see another oral surgeon and pay for x-rays. 175 because you already claimed that. You have a very bad lack of communication between your Dr.s .yes you may be nice and friendly . But lack total professionalism in dentistry. Thank you for nothing not doing a job and having to go see other dentists. And now pay because you already claimed payment for services not for finished.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at this dental office. The cleaning felt rushed and was not nearly as thorough as what I’ve received at my previous dentist. What really left a bad impression, though, was the dentist’s attitude. When I declined to get an x-ray, he was dismissive and pressured me as if it was non-negotiable. I felt shamed and bullied for wanting to make an informed decision about my own care. To make matters worse, he refused to even examine my teeth after the cleaning because I didn’t agree to the x-ray. It felt unprofessional and unkind, and I left feeling uncomfortable and unheard. My husband and I won’t be returning.

Negative experience: Terrible . My kids had appointments scheduled 6 months prior . The day of the appointment we show up for our scheduled appointment and we were notified that the dentist had an emergency. They called to confirm the appointment the day before but forgot to call us ,and inform us that the dentist had an emergency. We were also notified that they won't be able to book a future appointment for our children . This is so unprofessional.
