Fantastic experience: These guys and gals are THE BEST! Every time I come in I find a new reason to love them and add to this review. Today my daughter was stressed out about the numbing gel to have a damaged filling repaired… and they had a whole mess of stress management toys on hand. They deal with this stuff every day and it shows in their professionalism. My kids have had a whole series of unfortunate dental “events” and this team is always there to save the day. Sometimes we’ve had to go to one of the other locations but they can always get us in within a couple days if not same day. We changed dental insurance half way through my kid’s braces. The only thing I dislike is that I can’t use them too.

Fantastic experience: My two year old had his first dentist appointment and it was a success. The waiting room has tons of toys. His dental hygienist, Ms. Jenny, knew exactly how to put him at ease. Showing him her gloves before she put them on, letting him feel them, asking him to smell the cotton candy toothpaste before brushing his teeth. The dentist gave him the mirror instrument to hold and use on me before using it on him. There's even a cart with weighted toys, a bin of sensory toys, and stickers that he was allowed to play with during the appointment. They showed and explained everything before doing it. Even with all of the accommodations we were in and out of there in 30 minutes. We've been playing dentist at home for weeks but I was still nervous about how kid friendly the appointment was going to be. I could not recommend this office more. It was a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Three of my children have had multiple teeth removed here and every experience has been a great one. It may seem odd to say a tooth removal was great, but Dr. Lauren's kind and gentle approach has always put my kids at ease and they leave saying "I didn't even realize she was removing my teeth." Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Very patient and tries to accommodate requests made. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They do not market items to sale during appointments. Recently made a request to modify how messages were delivered and ot was reflected within two days of the request.

Fantastic experience: We came and toured the facility before bringing my kiddos to an appointment. My youngest has not had good past experiences with dentists. We were able to meet with the office manager and get all of our concerns addressed. They really took the time to listen to my son and supporting his stressors by showing him the tools used and walking him through everything. The office staff is very friendly and patient with questions and concerns as well. We loved it so much that I now bring my oldest to have his cleanings and dental things done. The office is very clean and child friendly. Very family oriented. When the offices were combined while constructing the pediatric area, we did not have a great experience because they seems short staffed and our wait time was very long but they quickly addressed all of our concerns and we have loved it ever since. I highly recommend this facility

Fantastic experience: 5/13/26-new review: Today my daughter had an appointment to have three baby teeth extracted, as per recommendations from dental and Orthodontics team. We saw Dr. Ronen for the first time and he was absolutely amazing! My daughter is 14 years old and has been fortunate to never have had a cavity or any dental issues. We were taken to a private room very quickly and attended to promptly. Dr. Ronen and his assistant were very kind, patient and efficient. He patiently explained to us everything that he would do and since we opted to try local anesthetics first, rather than nitrous oxide (more of a backup if necessary), he took his time to make sure that my daughter's mouth would be completely numb, so as not to feel any pain during the extractions. True to what he said, it took longer to make sure that she was numb after being given the anesthetics, then for the actual extractions. It was very quick, and painless, according to my daughter. Dr. Ronen patiently reviewed the discharge instructions for what to do and what to expect after the extractions and patiently answered our questions. We are very grateful for Dr. Ronen's expertise and funny, laid back and very kind and supportive manner. The best part for my daughter were the Dippin' Dots afterwards ❤️. Thank you very much for your wonderful care and professionalism. We love this practice and it's kind staff! As always, a wonderful visit to the dentist ! The office staff and dental staff are professional and knowledgeable. The hygienist was friendly and efficient. Dr. Lauren was kind and patient and answered all of our questions. We are happy to have found this practice!

Fantastic experience: This was my daughter’s last scheduled visit. Your Fuquay Varina office has done an amazing job and the entire staff has been a pleasure to work with for over 2 years now. We have had over an hour drive one way for the past 27 months due to a move east of Raleigh. They have always scheduled me for 4:45 appointments which made the 3 hour round trip manageable with my work and daughter’s school. There was one time due to traffic and road construction that we made it after 5:00 and your answering line said I had to reschedule but someone in the office who knew us, the situation of the move and the long drive we had stayed to see her. That extra 15 minutes that day they stayed made me arrive 15-30 minutes early from then to now and made the biggest difference in the way I would feel about the entire company. So sometimes it is not the best price or location it’s about someone waiting 10 extra minutes and letting you know there are people who care more than just about your teeth and your money. So thank you that was at least 20 months ago but I have not forgotten. I will not miss driving there every 6 weeks but if I had to drive somewhere at least it was to a great office. Thanks for making her smile amazingly beautiful and my smile extremely big for the braces to be off and the retainers to be fitted and it seems triple checked.

Fantastic experience: I was really excited to find a place nearby with such a great team for my Invisalign. I highly recommend them. Everyone is incredibly nice and welcoming. The waiting area is also really comfortable, with a coffee bar, a play area for kids, and plenty of seating with a big TV. The Invisalign appointments were always quick and efficient, which I really appreciated. I also loved the DM monitoring because it kept me accountable throughout the process (which i need). This is actually my third time doing Invisalign/braces, and this has been my favorite office by far. Hopefully this time will be the last .

Fantastic experience: I brought my 4 year old daughter who has level three autism, nonverbal, and has sensory processing disorder here and they did so wonderful with her. The entire staff including the hygienist and dentist were so kind and patient and attentive. I can't believe they were able to get her cleaning done. Truly in awe of how professional and gentle they were.

Fantastic experience: We’re new to the area and so glad we found this practice. The office is great and the dentist Dr. Ronen was absolutely amazing with my daughter—he was calm and funny and answered all of mine and my child’s questions. She’s already asking when she can go back!

Fantastic experience: My daughter had some teeth extracted and she had questions and wanted to know what was going on at times. Dr. Lauren explained everything to her while it was happening. My daughter also enjoyed her lovely assistant, Beyonka. They chatted for a bit while they waited for the numbing to kick in. She appreciated it so much that it helped to get her mind off of the procedure and she was very relaxed with the treatment.

Positive experience: Appoint took an hour and is only usually 20 mins.

Negative experience: The dentist and staff seem very competent on the practice side. Very unimpressed with their inability to give an accurate estimate. On multiple occasions, I verified with the billing staff that a procedure would cost X, and they would assure me that was the amount with insurance etc... and then after the procedure they would give me a bill that was hundreds of dollars more than what they assured me the cost would be. But for this reason, I can never go back.

Fantastic experience: Just completed my Invisalign journey. My bute was horrible when I started almost three years ago, today I open and close and it feels normal without constant jaw shifting. It hasn't been easy but the end result is worth it. Dr. Jed (Arbon) is just awesome and very accommodating and incredible getting me where I needed to be. Kendra was also great when I needed to come in, listened to me complain about logging my pictures every week. Just the whole team made the process and effort worth it.

Fantastic experience: We had to get a pair of new retainers for my daughter. We chose Carolina Orthodontics based on their reviews and the proximity to where we live. The retainers fit perfect, a lot more confortable then her previous ones and the staff was great throughout the process. We are so happy with the results and the fast delivery of the retainers. Fantastic experience: Everyone is very nice. We went from apex to Fuquay-Varina location easily. They helped multiple times with emergencies. Scheduling is easy and fast. My daughter had braces for 2 years so it was a long time with all her baby teeth still but her smile turned out great!

Positive experience: There was some confusion in the appointment type but Lauren the practice manager easily fixed it and my daughter was able to have her teeth cleaning done and see the orthodontist. Both appointments went great! My only “complaint” is for the staff to be mindful of the older kids and their abilities to answer basic questions about their oral care and history.

Fantastic experience: This dentist office is excellent. Every encounter we’ve had has been great and they’re phenomenal with the kids. Outside of regular check ups, my son had to have a tooth extracted and they went above and beyond throughout the entire process. Not only is their customer service great but they’re very transparent with costs and we hardly ever have to wait in the lobby before being seen. Not many places provide this level of care anymore and we’ve been very pleased with every appointment.

Fantastic experience: Brought both of my kids (2 and 5 years old) in here for the first time this week and we had a great experience both times. Staff was very friendly and showed a lot of patience when working with younger children, i cannot recall the names of their hygienists but I wish I did because they both provided exceptional care for my kiddos. Dr Lauren also did an amazing job with my little ones, she was very kind and patient with them, I also appreciate her taking the time to explain the treatment plans and answering our questions. Fantastic experience: After two failed attempts at other dentists, my five-year-old finally had a successful cleaning when we tried COCD. The office itself and the staff was great, but I have to give a lot of credit to the hygienist, Melissa. Thanks to her, my daughter not only got her teeth cleaned, but successfully got xrays as well with no problems. Melissa took so much extra care and time to ease my daughter's fear and make the whole thing fun. My daughter left the office happy and so so proud of herself.

Negative experience: I recently took my child for a consultation at Carolina Orthodontics & Children's Dentistry and was hopeful about the experience. However, my interaction regarding the insurance estimate left much to be desired. When I called to inquire about the progress of an estimate related to my insurance, I was informed that they do not disclose this information until just before the appointment due to their policy. While I understand that policies exist, the representative's response was far from helpful and felt dismissive. Not only was I given little assistance, but I also felt they were unyielding in their approach. Instead of feeling supported, I was told to simply accept this policy without further explanation or options. This lack of empathy and customer service has prompted me to seriously consider finding a different provider for my child's orthodontic needs. I believe that effective communication and customer support are essential in any healthcare setting, especially regarding financial aspects. I would encourage the management at Carolina Orthodontics to reevaluate their approach to patient inquiries to enhance the overall experience for families.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lauren and her assistant were amazing today! They were very patient and friendly with my daughter. She had to have 2 fill in. Dr. Lauren was very thorough and my daughter felt very comfortable with her!

Positive experience: This office was a great office when we started coming here back in 2019. However, 2 things that I really did not appreciate this time around were 1) forced “preferred pronouns” in my CHILDREN’S medical chart. With no ability to bypass. And 2) when they went to do a fluoride treatment, which they are aware we decline, they did not address me, the parent, to state what they were doing but instead said to my child, “this is just your teeth vitamins” first of all, not teeth vitamins and secondly, that’s not getting informed consent for treatment. Otherwise they are kind and typically very good with our kids.

Fantastic experience: My kids look forward going to the dentist! Dr. Jenna is amazing! I love that the orthodontists, Dr. Jed and Dr. Jesse, are in the same place. They are both so fantastic. The whole staff, from the secretary to the hygienist to the doctors, all are exceptional people to work with and so kind and friendly. I won't go anywhere else. Update years later: Both my daughters have had their braces here. They had molars in sideways and twisted positions, and Dr Jed used creative ways to get them in alignment without adding time to the process. He is creative and patient. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Very bad experience with this office over all, make sure to check your balance for long treatment since they won't let you know how much insurance is covering and they will put the balance in patient shoulders since they have no interest on chasing insurance. So much time and effort spent to get the fair adjustment for unfinished treatment, no results.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dentist and staff. The office is very clean. I am extremely satisfied with their services. Excellent dental pediatric practice.

Negative experience: Prior to establishing care, their staff would not offer a consultation code for us to discuss the cost with insurance. Two staff members who manage scheduling and insurance demands in their office said “we do not use consultation codes.” Even with a 3-way call with the insurance company explaining they need a code to process and discuss the finances with the members (us), the dentistry office would still not provide a code for insurance. These are everyday dealings in a dentistry office and they were unfamiliar with what insurance need to process claims. The dentistry staff would not even transfer the call to a supervisor so we could get clarity and an answer to move forward. Needless to say, the two individuals we spoke with were inadequately trained to handle incoming patients; therefore, we will not be seeking care from this company.

Fantastic experience: I sat in amazement as I watched them easily floss and brush my 15month olds teeth with ease in contrast to the DAILY battle she gives me. They are so wonderful with kids and babies! This is a great pediatric dentistry team!

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed our visit. It is a clean and friendly environment. We went in expecting to spend $400 out of pocket for a new retainer. We were assured that my son’s retainer was still usable and we could wait on a new one. Saved us money, and I really appreciate the honesty. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Honestly adore these doctors and this practice. I’ve used them for multiple of my kids with orthodontics and all my kids with pediatric dentistry and love them. They are kind, down to earth, conservative with treatment and do a great job all the way around. At this point, I wish they could be my doctors!!

Fantastic experience: Went for a consult today for my daughter! Everyone was so nice, MD explained everything in great detail with what to expect. Glad we chose Carolina Orthodontics.

Negative experience: I really liked the doctors at this office and went to them for several years. Then on our last visit they stopped being in-network. I was not informed of this and asked the office multiple times to ensure that the routine visit was covered. I was ensured everything was covered and there was no need to worry. Well fast forward and I receive a bill for $200 for a 100% covered visit. I call to inquire why I would have received this and the women put me on hold 4 times for a total of over 30minutes. She told me I was out of network now but could not answer any other questions. I was never told I went out of network from my last visit. It is 100% the office's responsibility to inform patients when they go out of network. I receive letters all the time from offices informing me network changes. I finally was able to find a phone number for the billing office. (The one PRINTED on the bill is out of service) When I spoke to the billing manager I explained the situation and she told me it is not there responsibility to inform patients when they go out of network. And she was indignant that I would think that her office would do that. "Then they would have to inform everyone when they went out of network." Yes! This is literally your job! So just be careful and ensure you do your own checking because they will obviously not help you! Edited: If the company has not changed networks it is even worse because the multiple associates I spoke with told me that was why I was charged. What really happened, if that is the case, is a billing issue because my insurance covers all the services that I was provided. Whatever the case, it was handled completely inappropriately by people who were not knowledgeable on policy matters.

Fantastic experience: I really appreciated the time you took to make me feel welcome. I am an older patient and some in my position may not even attempt to get Invisalign. I have wanted straight teeth all my life. Thank you!
