Fantastic experience: I called looking for help with a broken tooth! I also needed to make payments. I have let this go for over two years because I was unable to find anyone willing to work with us! Now it was an emergency. They got me in the next day. I went in thinking I would have to have the tooth pulled. Doctor Garza(sp?) said it was up to me if I wanted it pulled but he felt sure he would be able to save the tooth if I wanted to try. I agreed and he went to work. It was long and involved, root canal and crown all done right there in one visit. I was very very nervous, but everyone there was so kind and gentle. Did everything possible to make me more comfortable. I have found a new dental office and I would recommend to anyone to give them a try. Thank you Carolina Roots Dental. See you soon!

Negative experience: I had been going to another dentist for most of my life, but moved and tried this place because it was closer. After years of never having a cavity, I was told here that I had to have 4 teeth removed because they had rotted. When I said that I needed some time to make a proper decision, the man was offended and rude the rest of the time. I went back to my old dentist, and to another dentist a bit closer, and both did xrays and said they found no such thing. I'm sure Carolina Roots may be good at the procedures they do, but I would not trust them for anything when it comes to check ups

Fantastic experience: My experience at Carolina Root Dentistry was exceptional. From the scheduling staff, hygienists, to Dr. Landreth everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant. My questions and concerns were answered quickly and I was given options on how to care for my teeth. Dr. Landreth explained the “why” behind his recommendations and did not just tell me what I should do. Getting a crown is nerve wracking and I was quickly put at ease. I would highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: It was a friday I was at work and I had been experiencing pain in a tooth the past couple days but not extreme. But that morning I went to work and it started hurting extremely bad down through my neck unbearable pain so I called around and found carolina roots dental and the were able to schedule me in that day. I arrived and within 15 min I was in the chair the DR was awesome the staff was very comforting and I was able to have the work done and out of there within the hour. I didnt feel a thing. I recommend carolina roots to anyone they are very professional and nice people and I will be getting my dental work done there from now on.

Fantastic experience: I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to share this with the community. Carolina Roots Dental has been such a great find. The whole team is really welcoming, and you can tell they actually care about their patients. Dr. Landreth is pretty awesome, he explains everything clearly, takes his time, and makes sure you’re comfortable the whole way through. It just feels like you’re in really good hands. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a dentist you can trust.

Negative experience: In order to get ANY information on their website, you have to input your contact information. The moment I did, I was contacted by a member of their staff via text. Each message this person sent asked me to schedule an appointment, despite my trying to ask questions about their practice. When I asked this person to stop trying to hard sell me on coming in, they stopped answering entirely. If they can't answer basic questions over a text message, that doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence that my questions would be answered in person either.

Positive experience: So. I needed a cleaning. Thats all i could afford. I'm older w/no insurance. The receptionist informed me that they only did cleaning w doctors exam, which adds another $90.00 to the cleaning. After looking around at other dentists for their prices, i went ahead and made an appt. . Upon arrival, i was informed that i needed x-rays. I told the tech that if the x-rays added cost, i could not do it. Iwas there only for the cleaning and the mandatory exam. After going around about this loan payment service they had , which i declined. They then told me that i couldnt get my teeth cleaned w/out x-rays. So. Beware! These folks are money grubbers. I've been going there for several years now and the whole visit is a sales pitch. I understand that this is a business but they are way overboard with it. Otherwise, generally, they have done good work for me. Another post mentions the amount if time they take to do the work. Thats true, too, sometimes. You may sit there for a while.

Negative experience: I don't know why I gave 2 stars but, the latest promotion they had said it was free X-ray and consultation. The flyer didn't specify that the X-ray was for partial only. They don't tell you that until you get there. So we drove 2.5 hr to this place with 2 crashes on interstate 85 + construction just to find out. By the way the phone # they give you isnt their office number so then in comes another costumer that wanted the same and was confused when told its only for partial x-rays. So we decided to go some place else no sooner we turn around the desk worker slams the slide glass like she had a little attitude about it. So yeah if you want to screw your customers over do what they do

Negative experience: Do not go to Dr. Eisberg at Atlantic Dental Care if you value your health and well-being. Today, I had one of the worst experiences of my life. I was in severe jaw pain caused by Dr. Eisberg’s failed attempt to extract my tooth. In the end, he said he couldn’t complete the procedure, and I had to drive to another clinic to get the tooth properly removed. When I asked for something to relieve the pain, Atlantic family care staff told me they didn’t have any medication available to help patients. The lack of care and compassion was shocking.

Fantastic experience: After dealing with a cracked tooth for over 3 weeks, unable to get a quick appointment with other dentist in area, I was able to get an appointment with Doctor Eisburg, and his careful extraction and stitches were pai less and quick. I was so thankful, my previous 61 years of dentist visits left me so traumatized I have had to pull my own tooth in my 30's. But Doctor Eisburg was so gentle, quick, and precise I will be back for every dental needs. Thank you Doc Eisburg.

Fantastic experience: I was a little worried about starting a new practice, but I was pleasantly surprised. The office waiting area is pretty plain, but the office staff were lovely and very friendly. The technicians and the hygienist were really great. They treated me with respect and took great care of me. My doctor was Dr. Robert Eisberg, who was both professional and friendly and gave me some great advice (unrelated to my teeth). He carefully explained what needed to be done immediately (I had broken a tooth), then pointed out a filling and said that an old bridge had some issues. They fitted me with a temporary crown, which, to be honest, was the most comfortable I've ever encountered - I couldn't tell it wasn't a real tooth. They called a few days later to schedule the crown. The whole process was painless and took very little time. Again, it feels like it's always been there - I am so happy with this practice and the staff. I will be scheduling my bridge work as soon as possible because I am now assured that I will get a totally professional job. I would highly recommend Atlantic Family Dentistry!

Fantastic experience: I had a very good first experience at this dentist office. I was called in probably 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, but that seems pretty typical everywhere. My hygienist was great! Hopefully I get her again next time. I do agree that the main dentist was only there for like 1 minute similar to what other reviewers said, but I was only there for a cleaning and xrays so that was fine with me. I will be back here again in 6 months.

Fantastic experience: They were absolutely great. I have severe anxiety when it comes to dental procedures and today they used nitrous oxide and a loval anesthetic prior to pulling 2 teeth. They got me relaxed easily and I didn’t feel a thing. Today earned them a new patient

My dentist Dr. Eisberg was very thorough and explained to me the things that I needed to have done to fix the problems that I have with my teeth. Also they broke everything down for me! Making sure I knew what was covered by my insurance and what my bill would be. I really appreciate the way they do business. And my teeth are so much better now. So not only are they kind the also are excellent at what they do.

Positive experience: My experience with the hygienist was very pleasant, but when the dentist came in he was very cold and. I do not want him to examine my mouth again. His bedside manner was not acceptable to me. He instructed me to not to move my head in a rude tone while he was examining my mouth. There is a proper way to say anything. When I am paying for a service I expect to be treated nicely.

Negative experience: Hello All, I have been going to family dental for over 10 years. I moved and for over 5 years I drove 45mins for Dental Service. I must agree I enjoyed going to Atlantic Family Dental. On the week of Nov 18, I call to see if they had Saturday's Appointment and I was told no so I booked it for Friday. The nice receptionist called me and said I have Saturday Opening. Great, I booked my husband 1st as he has a lot of work for 11am on Saturdays and I was at12 noon. We got there on time checked in asked if i can be seen earlier the receptionist said no we are booked. It was close to thanksgiving so I went shopping. About 30 mins later, my husband called me and said they would not see him and they wanted to see me 1st. My husband said my wife is not available. The hygienist told my husband since your wife is not here , i will take another patients knowing his appointment was 1st. I returned and asked to speak to Dr. Roberts to try to understand the hygienist behavior and how can allow this. He did not speak with us and rude hygienist can out to stand her ground. The receptionist was profusely apologizing but the bully hygienist was defiant. My husband and I would never allow the bully hygienist to use sharp objects in our mouths. I left and said I would never return unless Dr. Robert calls me. Today, I received the message from Dr. Robert. My Husband and I were told never to come back. This was sent via Certified Mail. Dr. Robert it seems with growth you are fine sacrificing the quality of service for expansion. I have left already. BEWARE of the angry Hygienist. Natasha JF

Negative experience: I would give the Garner location ZERO stars if I could. They are dishonest, incompetent, and can't keep their records straight. I went in for a simple exam and cleaning, which I thought I could get done in one day like most places. They told me that I had to split up my appointment into 3 separate appointments. Each time I went back, there was an issue. The front desk changes your appointment times on you without telling you, and they even send the appointment reminder card home with you. When I came in ON TIME for my appointment, they made me feel like an inconvenience, and had to "check" with the dentist if she could still take me, even though it was the time on my card scheduled. I ended up being right and the desk clerk made an error, but I was made to feel like I was in the wrong. I thought after the second time things would get better, but they made me come back a third time to "finish" my appointment. They told me there wouldn't be any additional charges, but sure enough, I got a bill! When I called to debate it, whoever made notes on my chart lied and said I had a "second cleaning", which I did not! I have been more than patient with their incompentence, but after FOUR visits, and each time they lie or get something wrong, I can't handle the stress they are adding to my life any longer. TERRIBLE bookkeeping, management, and customer service. I will be finding another dentist for next year.

Negative experience: Do NOT recommend! Very unorganized and unprofessional. I called last week to make an appointment the lady i spoke to scheduled me for May 2 i never got the confirmation text they usually send out before your appointment so i decided to call that morning to confirm. Just to be told I'm not on the schedule or have any appointment scheduled at all. I let her know i had called last week and had requested the day off work for this appointment. She offered me an appointment at 1pm, i took it. An hour later they are calling me back saying they apologized but they can no longer see me at 1 the person who made my appointment didn't realize they only had 1 hygienist for that day and already had someone else scheduled for 1pm i will need to reschedule. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK and if you decide to schedule an appointment with them make sure you double check to make sure they actually DID schedule you.

Negative experience: I didn’t feel like this place knew what it was doing. I was constantly given misinformation or information that I needed to know just wasn’t told to me at all. It also didn’t seem like the staff communicated with each other. When an appointment had to be rescheduled because of their mistake, they acted like it was my fault. I never had a good experience with them.

Negative experience: I have been going to this dentist for about nine years. I took my kids. My parents started going. We have given them a lot of business. My reason for leaving them will also be my reason for filing a formal complaint with them, and trying to recoup my costs through small claims. Back in August 2022, I went in for an extraction. They had a dentist working there named Dr. Pang. She told me that I did not have to get it extracted. She could save the tooth with just a build up of filling material, and the charge was only about $150 more. I told her as long as the filling will last for a long time, I’ll be ok with it. Otherwise, it’s not worth the money. She said she was confident that it would be fine. In November 2022, I made an appointment to get a crown on a different tooth. I was notified by the technician that he saw a tooth that was in really bad shape on the X-ray. It just happened to be the one Dr. Pang worked on. I told him that, and he said she’d been let go for poor performance on her work, and this looked like another one. She covered 3 out of the 4 sides of the tooth with material, but that’s all. He recommended that I try to get the office to take care of it in some way. I talked to them about it that day, and they said they’d have to get the manager to take care of that. It’s March 2023, and I’ve been contacting them with no calls back or follow ups. But last night, the tooth broke, and it hurts. I was able to get a same day appointment with them. When I went in, I stated my expectation that I would not have to pay for this tooth twice, since it was not good work, and obviously so, since they had to fire the doctor that did it for other malpractices. Dr. Eisberg refused to even come in the room. He refused to do treatment or even see me. He sent in his manager to tell me that he would give me pain meds and refer me elsewhere, but he was not going to fix the problem or refund me the money for the bad work from his practice. He had his manager tell me it was best to get a lawyer. So I have. I’m also filing a formal complaint with NC Dental Board. Dr. Eisberg has consistently found additional work to do in my mouth mid exam that was not part of the treatment plan. I should have stopped going a long time ago. I do not recommend this place. His staff is negligent, and under qualified. And he does not stand behind their work.

Negative experience: I went here to get a cleaning and x-rays and was told I had 4 cavities which is a lot of work, relying more on photos than the x-rays, and was told my filling needed to be fixed. I decided to go to a different dentist to get a second opinion and they saw absolutely zero issues on the same x-rays.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE ATLANTIC FAMILY DENTIST IF I COULD LEAVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD! They do not care about their patients! Here is the tea…. So my child had a hole in a tooth. I was worried. I called her dentist for an emergency dental appointment/assessment. They did not have anything open for at least another week. I told them that I would need to call around town to find a dentist that could see her now because it was painful. They said ok. I called and found a place 30 minutes away. I signed a release form so that the emergency dentist could see her x-rays. Ended up that she has a cavity that needs filled. I call her regular dentist and they tell me that because I signed a release of information form that they cannot accept her as a patient anymore because she has Medicaid! They did not tell me this. Now I tried to get in tough with the office manager. They said she would call me back. She didn’t. I called again and they said she was busy. I was told to just send an email, but that she would still not be accepted back as a patient. Seriously, if that had been a condition, they should have let me know! Now I am scrambling to find a dentist that doesn’t have an 8 month waiting list.

Fantastic experience: First time at this place of business and I was quite impressed. The staff here are amazing. You get the feeling they actually care and want what's best for you. What attracted me to this dentist was their acceptance of my insurance and a short drive from home. Just went for a cleaning today, but I plan on returning soon for future needs.

Negative experience: Inconsiderate place they stopped letting me make appointments due to my dad being in the hospital and I couldn’t make the appointment but I found a better dentist more understanding , last time I went here they bruised my gums by pulling on my braces wires which caused my gums to bleed and snapped a wire had to go back to the orthodontist to get it fixed . Fantastic experience: Between not having insurance for years and past HORRIBLE dental experiences in the past I have severe anxiety when it comes to dentists. I wanted to find a sedation dentist but my insurance wouldnt cover it except for certian proceedures. The hygienist at the Garner clinic took her time to explain everything while a treatment plan was created, and during the proceedure today paused any time I needed a moment as well as telling me what and why she was doing things to ease my anxiety.

Fantastic experience: What a great experience the whole team helped me go though. I had to get a root canal done and a crowning. I was super nervous because I had never thought I’d need it.
