Fantastic experience: Dr. Heinecke and staff were excellent. Tooth removal was quick, painless and without complication. Tightening a loose implant install by dentist in another state will require further research by Dr. Heinecke before it can be accomplished at a future date.

Fantastic experience: I had an urgent visit as a molar that has a Heineke installed crown suddenly started causing pain over the weekend. I called Monday and was seen Tuesday. Xrays didn’t uncover anything so the Dr referred me to an Endodontist for investigation. They also wrote a script for pain meds and Antibiotics just in case. The Pain meds help and allow me to eat, but not enough to keep for ice cold from being very painful. I was grateful for available appointment.

Fantastic experience: Very nice people to work with, both Dr. Heinecke & his staff. They explained everything in detail before anything was preformed. I was able to ask questions & they were throughly explained. The procedure that I had done was painless (can't believe I'm saying that) & was done with great care. Very good choice of dentistry.

Fantastic experience: Update 3/19/26 I had my new implant placed. It was a great experience. Everything went smoothly. I walked out and felt like I had this tooth all my life. Thank you Dr.Heinecke My husband and I have been going to this dental office since we moved here 7 years ago. Dr.Heinecke is great. I love my dental hygienist, Taylor. She is great, gentle, easy going, patient and friendly!!

I still have a crown that he did in his Brooksville office well over 15 years ago and it has had zero issues while others I had done much more recently at other places due to insurance change I have had him fix now that my insurance covers him again. Staff is very nice also.

Fantastic experience: I like the fact they don’t try to pressure you into unnecessary procedures or tests just to inflate the bill. Plus, we see the same dentist on every visit. The last place I was at had a business manager to explain your financing options. I felt like the young dentist and the hygienist worked on a commission basis for everything they upsold.

Fantastic experience: The front receptionist (sorry, didn’t get your name), Leidy, and Alejandra were very kind. Leidy and Alejandra were thorough and gentle. Those are the most important qualities to me as a patient. The dentist was nice too. I just went for images and cleaning.

Negative experience: I have been going to Dr Heineken since we moved to Florida 2 years ago. When I broke a tooth on Friday, his “emergency number” was “unavailable “ per the recording. I called 3 times. I was already going to leave his practice because last time I went to have my teeth cleaned, the hygienist (in a stage whisper) told him I was a “floss nut”! What is a Floss Nut? I floss once daily before bedtime, unless I’m eating something which gets stuck between my teeth. I have never been rude or behaved badly whenever I went there. When Dr Heineke comes to inspect my teeth after cleaning, he’s never smiling, and most of the time never comes around the chair to even say “Hello”. Instead he just stays behind my head and says “open” to look in my mouth. The front office lady is always friendly and polite, but the remainder of staff are unfriendly. I cannot recommend Dr Heineke at all. I’m 78 years old, have always had regular cleanings and any other care needed. After my last cleaning, about 2 months ago, I found another dentist for future care. There’s no need to be rude to patients who are making efforts to be as pleasant and friendly as possible.

Negative experience: Update - I finally had work done by Dr. Heinicke 8/7/2025. I was basically traumatized. I've never been scared of the dentist until now. I had to have a filling fixed and a cavity filled. I was giving the numbing cream in my mouth only to be left for about 10 minutes. When the dental hygienist returned I told her it wore off, she said it would be fine. Doctor gave me a shot on the lower and upper part of my mouth, numbing cream did not work and it hurt a lot. While waiting for the shot to take effect my injection sites physically hurt and I had trouble opening my mouth which has never happened. Only the upper part of my mouth was numb, which I told them and the doctor proceeded to give me another shot in the lower part of my mouth. He hit a nerve which caused me to jerk and I was in a lot of pain. I began to cry, doctor shrugged it off and said we will start with the top. Wellll the top wasn't numb enough either like I thought it was and I felt what he was doing. I had them stop and the Doctor game me another shot on the top... so 4 shots! At this point I was so taken aback of what all just happened and the lack of care by the doctor that the tears just started flowing. Doctor was aggressive and had no compassion. I could still feel a little bit at the top, but i told him to just keep going. He chuckled and said you just want out of here and I thought i don't want another shot from you! You don't know what you are doing! I cried through the entire appt. Then when he was pulling the silver thing around my tooth off he pinched my lip in it. Before he left he said you might be numb for a day cause i hit a nerve, which freaked me out. He then walked out without apologizing or acknowledging the fact he hurt me at all. I went to the same dentist for years in Iowa and this was my first experience with someone new. I could barely breath when I left and cried for quite sometime from what i had experienced. That night I could barely eat because the left side of my mouth where he had put the shots were so sore. I took advil PM before bed and this morning, 8/8/2025 it still hurts and my jaw is very tight. I will NOT be going back. They are so friendly, fast and the office is so pretty and comfy! I tried a different dental office before this one and this place blows them out of the water! I'm so happy I switched!

Fantastic experience: All the staff was pleasant helpful and accomodating. I came in for a crown and was told the lab takes 2 weeks for the crown to be received. My insurance ends April 30th. All were very accommodating to try to get the crown in before my insurance expires. I am very appreciative of their efforts.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Heinecke Dental for almost 5 years. I have never had any complaints. The waiting room is beautiful and comfortable, the girls at the front desk are always friendly and helpful, I've had 2 hygienists and they are both professional and caring. Dr. Heinecke himself is personable and caring. I've referred several people and they have all agreed.

I have a bit of anxiety seeing a dentist due to really bad experiences with one as a kid. Dr. Heinecke is great in telling me what he's doing so to help ease my nerves. I also know he and his assistants treat my girls right too. Last thing I want is for them to have a bad experience and end up with anxiety over seeing a dentist like myself.

Fantastic experience: I popped a crown off of a tooth. When I called and told them I needed to get it glued back on they got me in right away. In no time it was done. They were prompt, professional and polite. If you need a dentist this is a great place to go.

The person who did the xrays was so gentle. When the person who did measure of the gums was very fast and no pain. Unlike the other dentist offices I have visited. I had my teeth cleaned and Sandy was so gentle. I really liked Dr. Heinecke and he answered all my questions. I have been here 7 years and I finally found a GREAT practice.

Fantastic experience: My Husband and I along with our daughter have been acquainted with Heinecke dental for about 30 years and have consistently received care at the Spring Hill location since it opened several years ago. All the staff are friendly and professional and very efficient. Dr Heinecke and his Dental Hygienists have been very thorough in monitoring for potential problems and their instruction and care have remedied the few dental issues I’ve had. We have experienced dental visits with other providers who recommended interventions that were unnecessary just so they could line their pockets. Dr Heinecke and his group have enlightened us to such practices and that is why we have stayed with them. I’m very glad they are in network with my dental plan.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Heinecke is so professional, yet kind and understanding. I actually had a tooth that was sensitive. I shared my concern with him during a normal checkup. He discussed my options. My tooth chipped and his team got me in and when he realized that they would be closed the next week, he squeezed me in and did the work right then so I wouldn't have to be in pain any longer than necessary. I am so grateful. Also, his staff is all so amazing and sweet. I highly recommend Dr. Heinecke and his offices!

I had to get impressions of my teeth and I hate it because I have a small mouth and gag reflex very bad, but Dr. Heinecke was very helpful. Fantastic experience: I feel that I lucked out when I went to see Dr Henike shortly after moving to Spring Hill. He is extremely skilled with his practice, and has all the new technology to work with. My previous dentist in Virginia was skilled in the personality dept, but not so much with his profession. Dr. Henike is all business, , but he does warm up to you after a few visits, I guess when he knows you’re going to stick around! Highly recommended. Just an added note: Ive been seeing Dr Henike now for 5 years and im still very happy with him. he does not do dentures or partials anymore, so he will refer you to another dentist for that. The dentists name is Fabrega on Powel Road. DO NOT GO SEE HIM!!!! This Dentist is psychotic. He wanted all my uppers removed so he could put dentures in. I told him no, as my front two teeth were perfect with root canals and crowns.He told me the rest of the upper teeth wernt worth saving. Turns out that Dr. Henike later told me they just needed small fillings! This clown secretly tried to crack one of my front teeth by pushing as hard as he could with both thumbs on a front tooth till it cracked! When the assistant came in, he stopped quickly, turned around, and acted like he was doing something else! He ended up pulling a back upper tooth and when i got home, that front tooth hurt worse than the extraction! This physco Dentist talks down to you and acts like your an idiot. He will NEVER touch my mouth again. Dr. Henike ended up doing a root canal on that front tooth.

Fantastic experience: Tuesday night I had a dental emergency. When I called the office the next morning, I was given an appt for the next day. The Dr. and his assistant Debbie were just outstanding. They rebuild my tooth base and applied a temporary cap.They both went out of their way to explain what was happening. Dr. Heineke and Debbie were confident and efficient and that put me at ease. There was zero discomfort. He is a great family dentist. The office is conveniently located at the corner of Mariner and Cortez Blvd.

Fantastic experience: Just X-rays and cleaning but those services were downright pleasurable. Rather than sticking the film halfway down my throat, like some, the process was so noninvasive! The cleaning required some extra work. But even without dynamite, the end result was shear perfection. They did assure me they don't use dynamite.

Negative experience: *PUSHES PEOPLE TO COME IN WHEN RUNNING FEVERS - DO NOT COME IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SICK!* (as they confirmed below - if you wake up sick same day as appointment, you will be billed, thereby encouraging people to come in sick or face a fine.) Office staff will bill people who don't show up for their appointments when sick, even if they are running fevers (as they did for us). Otherwise the sick patients have to face an irrefutable bill. We were billed $50 because my wife woke up running a fever shortly after I had to cancel because I had gotten sick. Logical no-show cancellations make sense of course. But forcing people to come into the office while running fevers, and back-to-back family illness (which makes sense given we live together that we would catch from each other)? If you or someone in your household gets sick on an appointment day, know that you will be billed! And when you're in the office, know that the other patients might be coming in while sick, as they will be billed if they don't show up. We had chosen Heinecke Family Dentistry because they were not a big chain and seemed genuinely family-run. After spending several thousand dollars on extensive dental work out of pocket, they drew a hard line that we pay another $50 for getting sick, or never come back. The worst part is the duplicity of seemingly like a genuine and compassionate place, but actually have no issue tossing out two patients who have been coming for years for not coming in when sick. Thankfully we found another family-owned dentist office where we don't have to worry that other patients will be coming in while running fevers under threats of fees if they no-show for illness. Do NOT recommend.
