Positive experience: Difficult to get in. In the past 6 months staff changed my appointment 4 times and keep telling me I have to get another appointment after less than 10 minutes being on the chair because they are too busy. Appointments continually have to be made and the staff is constantly late within 15-60 minutes. You have to be patient with them and have another appointment made. Many friends refer me to them. It’s my belief that they try too hard to do business/ money and don’t care about their patients time and money. I miss my “ old” dentist who took the time to look at my teeth and “comforted” me. This is not a place to go if you want to be taken care of.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Tower Dental Associates functions with a high level of professionalism, expertise, and courtesy towards patients and coworkers. The receptionist Sheree (forgive if misspelled) is top notch and gives customer service with excellence and a smile. My tech Tricia (forgive if misspelled) was beyond thorough, personable and great at communicating what the next steps would be and what they involved. Although this was my first visit I felt as if I had been a long time patient such was the respect and care with I was treated. The dentist did a wonderful job of seeing a problem area and recommending a solution. The staff advised me of what my portion would be for the proposed treatment so I would know what to expect. Negative experience: Edit: Staff was great when I saw them in person, but I have been trying to contact the office via email for my official record as well as a time zone difference and they continue to ghost me. I had moved my treatment for Invisalign and my new office and a simple google research shows me that I am due a refund for services I have not received. I am still paying for services of 100% completion when I have not received it due to moving across the country. I finally got a response when I said I’d leave a review and contact Invisalign, Florida dental board and then was given an apology and said I’d get the numbers “today or tomorrow”… it’s been 14 days. Dr.samarkos and his staff of so kind to me and so helpful. I’ve never had good enough insurance to take care of my teeth and this is the first dentist office I have seen in a long time that haven’t been judgmental but instead helpful. I’m very thankful I came here to get my dental work done.

Negative experience: I was very disappointed with my experience at this dental office. As a pregnant patient, I declined x-rays for safety reasons, yet I was refused treatment altogether. Preventive and routine dental care is not only safe but recommended during pregnancy, and it was extremely negligent, unprofessional, and discriminatory for this office to deny care rather than provide alternative treatment options. Expecting mothers deserve respect, and proper dental treatment — not to be turned away because it’s more convenient for the office. I would never recommend this office to anyone at all.

I had to have several cavity fillings and I could barely feel the injections the Dr. gave, which was fantastic. Charles, who administered the fillings, really took his time and made sure they were done correctly to stand the test of time. I am very pleased with the attention to detail from Dr. Samarkos and his staff! The fill-in dental assistant that took me to my station and spoke with me really helped to calm me down. Getting multiple fillings is no walk in the park- thankfully this dental practice makes it easier.

From all the dentists to the front end office as well as cleaning team and assistants. Charles and Mari both hold a special place in my heart. They sure know how to give a shot of Novocain too! I had to have a couple of extractions. I was white knuckling and so nervous. They instantly put me at ease with their kind soft words. The technique they used, I barely felt the needle at all! I can’t say enough good things about them. You ought to make an appointment with them for a cleaning or something so you can see for yourself. Negative experience: Called to get an appointment for my teen as they have a bad cavity and have been experiencing some pain. When I made the appointment, they asked which tooth and I said it was a molar. Drove all the way there just to find out they don’t do extractions or root canals on molars. Wish they had told me that over the phone since it’s a 40 minute drive from my house to their office.

Fantastic experience: These folks are amazing! From Jewel, the tech who did my images and xrays and got me all ready to see the doctor, to Dr. Samarkis, who radiates confidence and is very thorough in his exams, to the nice lady with the teenager and the border collie (I want to say Tricia, but I am so bad with names!) who did my cleaning.. they're all amazing people! I was with another, corporate Dental office prior, and it showed! Tower Dental Associates cares about their patients. I was asked multiple times if I had any anxiety about anything that was being done, and they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and anxiety-free! This was the best experience in a dentist's office I've ever had, and I feel confident in handing the health of my mouth over to them! Thank you all so much for caring about what you do!

Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful dental office in Gainesville! I’ve had many dishonest dentists before this that I didn’t fully trust and it makes finding a good dentist very hard. I’ve used this office for years now and both doctors are so easy to talk to and very trustworthy. I know they’re not ever selling unnecessary work. They also have really up to date equipment which is great for patients! They will offer services because they have cool equipment, including Invisalign, AI scanning of teeth, and recently a great new oral cancer screening. There are some services I’ve declined, but it’s always nice to know they are there if you need it. I have never ever felt pressured to get extra services such as these. They just let you know they are options but I feel very comfortable either using the services or not. The doctor and hygienests know my entire family and remember previous visits as well. Also my experience with regular cleanings is that you leave with such a smooth and comfortable really good clean without pain. I say this because I’ve experienced at other places those painful cleanings or ones where you leave just not feeling totally “clean”. I’ve never had that here. They’re so gentle but also thorough and I could nap through the whole cleaning if I wanted to. Just an awesome place that’s got great vibes and honest doctors. If you have an emergency as well, I’ve never waited more than a day to get in to be seen, oftentimes same day!

Negative experience: Needed a new dentist since our dentist quit taking our insurance. Went to Tower Dental and was pleased with the customer service and hygienist. However, I was floored when I received my treatment plan. I was told I had cavities in 4 of my teeth, that I needed composite on 9 surfaces, and pulp cap for two of the teeth. I was also told I needed and occlusal adjustment due to having loose teeth. All of this totaled almost $1300 worth of work. Since I have always visited the dentist regularly I was extremely skeptical. I made an appointment for an exam at a different dental office, without sharing my treatment plan from Tower Dental. As I suspected, the 4 teeth that supposedly had cavities had no signs of cavities, no signs of decay, nor any issue that would require fillings or pulp caps...as a matter of fact I have sealants in those teeth which were redone only a few years ago (I suspected these were the same teeth but wanted to verify). I also have no loose teeth, so therefore no occlusal adjustment needed either. Very frustrated and disappointed that this dentist is trying to take advantage of patients and insurance.

I did feel tension though, between one receptionist towards a higenist staff member as if there wasnt good communication. It felt like they had disagreemnts. The patients can see, hear and sense staff tension. It shows unprofessionalism.
