Fantastic experience: Dr Bagdasarov and his assistant Angi were great. They explained everything and took good care of me. Also, the receptionist Eunice was lovely and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bagdasarov is a skilled, diligent and knowledgeable dentist. After years of dentists who were not, I can attest to this. "Dr B." and his assistants work well together, and are super nice people!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Chambers is literally the best dentist I've ever seen (and I have seen MANY!). She takes the time to explain things well; she makes sure that I feel comfortable throughout the entire dental filling process; she understands when I need to take a break because my jaw is simply exhausted; and she is incredibly knowledgeable. I also appreciated that she offered breathing techniques to try when getting the numbing shots. I give Dr. Chambers my highest recommendation!

Negative experience: I visited this dental office as a new patient and was required to undergo a full set of X-rays. I had completed a full set of X-rays just a few months prior. However, I was not clearly informed that repeating the procedure might not be covered by insurance due to frequency limitations. I was told that the service was expected to be covered, and I relied on that information when proceeding. I was also not given the option to transfer my previous records before undergoing another full X-ray. Although the staff later mentioned that this had been asked during scheduling, the intake form did not include any questions regarding prior X-rays. As a result, I received an unexpected charge of $175 that was not covered by insurance. I believe the office did not adequately inform me of the potential out-of-pocket costs and did not provide sufficient alternatives before proceeding with a service that was not covered. However, the staff were friendly, and the doctor was professional during my initial visit prior to receiving the bill.

Negative experience: Poor service, wouldn’t take my dog here to use there bathroom! Dental Care is not for everyone and the Dentist at this establishment should lose their license ASAP! There are so many places to use in the area that are cheaper and will give you the care you deserve as a human being

Negative experience: would not reccomend if you have out of network insurance. the billing department will tell you Xrays are covered, that you havent had xrays done anywhere else. then when the bill comes you owe money and they are clueless as to why and proceed to just blame it on out of network as a scape goat of an answer.

Fantastic experience: I was helped by Trish today regarding a possible wisdom teeth removal, and although I could not get an appointment for today since my situation should be taken care of asap, Trish was of extreme good help. She was able to recommend me to other offices that might take walk-in patients, advise me on my how to take care of my situation and even checked in a doctor to give me a possible diagnosis to the problem that i’m having. She called me back three times when I didn’t answer the first two, just to let me know she didn’t have any emergency appointments available and to give me that possible diagnosis. She was kind, quick and efficient in helping me. She seemed to truly care about my situation and was eager in helping me find a solution. Thank you so much Trish for such a positive experience.

Negative experience: Worst dentist experience of my life. Dr talked non stop over my head with her assistant instead of focusing on my teeth. Filling ended up being lose leading to inflammation and had to be redone at significant cost in terms of health, money and time.

Negative experience: I graduated this summer so my dental insurance was supposed to end at the end of July. I got a call from the office just a week before the expiration date asking if i would still like a cleaning appointment. I said ok if you can find me a spot in the next few days. That was supposed to be a cleaning appointment, but X-rays were taken without clear discussion. I had no problems with my teeth at all, how come X-rays were necessary? Moreover no one checked if my insurance still has allowance so it was denied because I have taken X-rays within three years. They never asked if I have recent X-rays images either. Now I have to pay the pointless X-rays duplicates out of pocket. I feel I got scrapped, they made the call just to use up whatever allowance i had before they expire. They arranged a last minute appointment and charged for things I didn't ask for. It's so frustrating because i've been a patient here for years and i always recommend it to my friends. If you go, be VERY VERY CAREFUL, ask, confirm, and get explicit consent.

Negative experience: We've been with Elena for years, we see her and only her as a family. We like her friendly persona, she's pleasant, kind. She's an asset to the practice. Besides that go else where. 12/2024-Update, practice has changed owners and not for the better, front staff not friendly especially the billing manager has to be one the rudest and disrespectful person in that office, denied itemized billing so could not explain why charges were made when a bill arise. Was told just pay it, I replied when you can show me why the charges were made and if you pay for something they won't refund you, they'll just keep it as credit. Only a couple of ppl there are the exception. DISSATISFIED

Fantastic experience: Update October 2024: I left Amherst Dental about a year ago as the dentist I saw left the practice and the so my experience is completely out of date. This is an excellent group. Every person I have come in contact with has been very professional and competent. I would recommend them to anyone. And the precautions they now take because of COVID made me feel very safe.

Fantastic experience: We've been going here for a few years and truly appreciate them. Dr Humphrey, the dental hygienist, and the rest of the staff have always been great. They always listen to our complaints and provided emergency appointments when needed. We are lucky to still have independent practices in our area.

Negative experience: Rude. I got yelled at for putting down sunglasses on the "wrong" surface. Never even saw a dentist the last time I went. Generally an unpleasant place to go with unpleasant people.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit with Amherst Dental. The Dentist I picked was Dr. Bagdasarov, I am so happy I have him as my dentist now. He was very thorough and kind, personable, just a great dentist and a great person. And his assistant was superb, very very nice and smart. I then had my cleaning with one of the best hygienists I ever had. I can't remember her name but she is phenomenal. I can say my first visit was great!! 10 ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Negative experience: Trans people/allies: DO NOT GO to Amherst Dental Group. The new patient coordinator, Trish, ghosted me after I reiterated the name I go by. She also repeatedly called me by my deadname and misgendered me despite me telling her otherwise. They do not care about laws here and will illegally discriminate against trans people.

Positive experience: Pretty decent dental services with pleasant and knowledgeable staff...

Negative experience: These people have the most arrogant and rude and racist intake person I've encountered in the valley. Used them in the past, followed their dentist when he left their practice to Enfield. Unfortunately he went back to New Zealand. I thought I'd try my luck again. Would NOT recommend! Beware if you have an accent!

Fantastic experience: Cannot say enough about this dental office! They are the absolute best! My whole family sees Joanne the hygienist. As for the wonderful doctors, some of us go to Dr. B and the rest go to Dr. C. Prices and fair and service is excellent.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Humphrey without any reservations. He is a most caring and sensitive dentist who is so very compassionate. My mom used to have panic attacks when she went to a dentist. Under his care, she has lost her fear and made me a believer. After watching her I have chosen him to be my new dentist. I am sure that he will show the same compassion and support. He is an amazing dentist and psychologist who has deep empathy for his patients.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! I am a graduate student at UMass and I was reluctant to go to the dentist up until my last year of grad school (shame on me). I needed work to be done and the staff and dentist, Arsen Bagdasarov were wonderful. I had a couple of appointments with the dentist. I never felt like it was rushed and I appreciated that. I got 4 fillings and cleaning done over three appointments. I was here during the pandemic and felt like they had good protocols in place to keep the community safe. 10/10 recommend people to come here! :)

Fantastic experience: I went for my first visit yesterday and could not have had a better experience! They ask you to call once you’re parked to decrease capacity in the wait room which curated a very safe feeling environment. Heather, Joanne, Doreen and Dr. B were all absolute professionals while still being incredibly personable! The whole team managed to make a visit to the dentist an enjoyable time. I would highly recommend choosing them if you’re of any age, but especially younger like me and really learning how to do “adult” things like making your own dentist appointments, because they walked me through every step starting from the first phone call with their wonderful New Patient Intake specialist! Work done improperly which led to tooth loss, prevented me from smiling, and from being myself. I was with my previous dentist since childhood and was a bit nervous to find a new dentist that could take care of me during my doctoral program at UMass. I looked up reviews of various dentistries in the area, and Amherst Dental had the best reviews. The staff live up to the hype. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I felt like I was immersed in an extension of my previous dental care (which was outstanding). Granted, my only experience so far was a new patient exam, but I'm confident I will be very pleased with the care I receive in the future.

Fantastic experience: Our family members have each had appointments with Amherst Dental since Covid started. We see Dr Perry and really like his bedside manner, his explanations and always feel comfortable asking him questions about any concerns we may have. Each of the hygienists are wonderful, giving lots of information and helpful tips as well as making the experience great. They are always calm, safe, efficient and kind.
