Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Sula.. I was nervous going in, but I made the decision to give her full control of the procedure, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Thank you, Dr. Sula! I also want to thank Mrs. Tamika, who kept me calm through it all.. my anxiety was through the roof, and her presence made all the difference. Trust, you’re in great hands with all the ladies here! I now have my permanent crown, and I’m super happy with the results. It looks exactly like my tooth and feels perfectly normal, as though it’s my own. 10/10 recommend if you need an RCT (root canal therapy) , core build up, and crown. Warmly, Ash ❤️

The staff welcomes you with smiles and kindness. I recommend 10/10 . I came in with extreme pain and now I have a fresh root canal and crown and no more pain!

Negative experience: I was very disappointed with how my daughter was treated during her visit. After she was numbed, the dentist repeatedly told her to bite down, but she physically could not. Instead of showing patience or explaining what to do, he asked her, “Do you want to stay longer?” When she replied that she was trying, he said he would be back and told us to “teach her how to bite down while she waits.” This comment was rude and disrespectful, especially toward a teenager who was already uncomfortable and doing her best. A dental office should be a place where patients feel supported, not talked down to.

Negative experience: My kids have been coming here since we moved to the area last August . My 4 year old autistic son had a horrible experience with Dr Sam yesterday. He cried while getting his teeth prepared for caps. I asked what was wrong and asked them do he maybe need another numbing shot . The Dr told me I needed to get out and return to the front to wait for my son . I asked what was the problem with me asking the question about my crying son. He told me get out . When I left out he closed the sliding door slamming it shut in a nasty manner . My son continued to cry . He stopped work and referred him to a different dentist. The staff and front desk are all respectful people . I called them and told them he’s started to chew his jaw and lip and I called them to send over antibiotics. They agreed. It’s almost 24 hours later and my son’s medicine is not at the pharmacy. Would not recommend this dentist for younger kids who can’t advocate for themselves.

Fantastic experience: This place is like no other dental experience. Every person from start to finish is friendly, caring, helpful, patient, and professional. I felt very odd at first how caring they are for your needs before anything else. You d I nt see that type of care anywhere these days it's in and out as fast as your insurance allows. Here they take time to really listen and help YOU. I can't remember all of the great people who helped me by name because everyone is so helpful and caring. Just know no matter who you see your in good care . Thank you all for the care you help this nervous, doubtful,anxious, guy I was . You definitely make the dentist a at home feeling Thank you.

Definitely I recommend this place because they are professional and ready to do several kind of job with vast experience. Lisa is really that kind of person who can make you feel comfortable anyway. The Doctor Sula Umansky like to explain everything and every step to keep you informed. Tuesday August 12, 2025. My new experience still the same, this time Dr Ashley Johnson and Lisa like assistant, need Spanish? No problems with Dr Johnson because her Spanish is really good and perfectly understandable. Their attitude is so positive, professional and make you feel comfortable in the meadle of her job. October 1st, today we meeting with Tiffany (assistant)and definitely we are keeping our criteria, she is so kind with a lovely attitude. This clinic is 5 ⭐ for sure. Esta clínica es muy acogedora. El equipo de trabajo es muy agradable y gentil. Definitivamente recomiendo este lugar porque son profesionales y están listos para hacer varios tipos de trabajo con vasta experiencia. Lisa es realmente ese tipo de persona que puede hacerte sentir cómodo de todos modos. A la doctora Sula Umansky le gusta explicar todo y cada paso para mantenerte informado.

Negative experience: I understand that my child wasn’t cooperating but if they aren’t even going to have the patience with kids why even take them in? Very unprofessional wording from male dentist (I can’t remember his name) calling my son a bad kid when all my son was doing was moving A LITTLE and holding his fingers but still opened his mouth to be checked. My son has been going to the dentist since 6 months and has let himself take X-Rays as well; the only reason why I went is because they allow parents back there when working with laughing gas. Staff was friendly overall but just a bad experience for me.

Each person brings such a vibrant personality, and you can truly feel the genuine care from the moment you walk in. While I know all of their names, I’d rather not risk misspelling anyone—because each one of them deserves recognition for the amazing work they do. The front end staff are above and beyond amazing from Shelby, April, odalia, Christina. That said, Lisa, who was my daughter’s nurse, truly stood out to her. She made such a lasting impression with her kind demeanor and attentive care. My daughter felt safe, seen, and valued—which, as a parent, means everything. We’re so grateful for Lisa and the entire team at Advantage Dentists for consistently going above and beyond!

Fantastic experience: I go here for all 3 of my boys and they are all amazing.. Even the oral surgeon Dr.Damion was amazing.... He had to extract 5 teeth from my son not only did he call to check on him, but also had minimal pain. Almost the entire staff asked how he was doing as well... So thoughtful and caring... Today Dr.Sula and her assistant Alyssa worked on my other son. Very thorough and does an awesome job every time... I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a dentist.

Negative experience: horrible experience, gave me a fill in and was the wrong color on my teeth did not match, also tried charging me for bill that was paid out of my money and not insurance, would not recommended bad communication

Fantastic experience: My son is now 11 years old and have been coming to Advantage Dental since he was 4 years old. The staff has always been patient and kind making him and me as a parent feel very comfortable. We absolutely love the service! Now and then photos with a smile each visit. Fantastic experience: I was so impressed with the service today thank you so much me my son and daughter had a wonderful experience with Stacey Rosie and Dr Pham as well as the front office staff we will definitely be back. I'm so glad I finally found a dentist I can trust. A day later I went back to get 3 teeth extracted and had another wonderful experience with Kyle and Dr Malik even though I was having teeth pulled and a little nervous we made the best out of it everything went smooth thanks for all the laughs. You two did a excellent job and great customer service. I will be returning for a third time in two weeks for some fillings I'm looking forward to another awesome experience. Negative experience: My child was referred to Advantage Dental Atascocita. She’s a patient at Smile Big Dental W. Lake Houston office. They could not see my daughter due to a power outage on this particular day (5/28:2024). Thank you Smile Big Office manager for your help. My daughter was seen, by a a great back office/Dentist and Dental Assistant. They were kind and compassionate to my daughter’s needs. However the front office staff extremely professional as well. (My daughter was in pain). She was seen by the dental staff, I was told after my daughter saw the dentist and had her X-Rays done, she needed a tooth extraction. The front office staff informed me that they would need a Pre-Auth from my insurance company. This was not an after hours office visit/procedure. After waiting I was told by the front office staff, that they could not obtain the needed Pre Authorization because the systems used by my insurance were down and that it had been down for weeks and they could not get any authorizations. So I was sent away with my daughter in pain. I then returned a few moments after going to my car and asked the front office staff how much would I have to pay out of my pocket to have the tooth removed as my child is in pain from the abscess/infected tooth. This option was “Never” offered to me by the office staff, I asked as a concerned parent and offered to pay out of pocket, as my child was in pain. I was told after I made the payment for the tooth extraction, that I would be refunded once they received an Auth from my insurance company. I have made contact with my insurance company (one month later) who stated that their system wasn’t down as I was told, and it was never down for weeks and that was not a true statement given to you by Advantage Dental. I was also told by my insurance company that the office should be aware of what’s covered customarily such as a simple extraction and that it isn’t customary for a patient to pay for procedures such as this. I have yet to be reimbursed by Advantage Dental. Tho, not so much what I paid, it’s the principal behind Advantage Dentals practices. You shouldn’t be paid twice and I do understand that your staff is there to make sure the office gets paid. I have also filled a grievance with my insurance company regarding this situation with Advantage Dental. A dental office should not deny treating a child because they choose to, especially if what was told isn’t the truth. I’m thankful that I was able to pay for the extraction. But what about the parent tat can’t. I have not been contacted one time from Advantage and my insurance company has stated that a claim was filed for my child’s treatment so Advantage stands to receive a double payment. Please make sure that this doesn’t happen to you or your child. This is why we have insurance and we’re well aware of what’s covered and what’s not

Negative experience: Don't waste your time scheduling an appointment and taking a day off work cause they will call you the day before to cancel cause they NEVER have a dental hygienist. Time to move on to a dental practice that can actually practice dentistry. UPDATE: GO to In Joy Dental instead of Advantage dental!!! They are AMAZING.

Negative experience: Where do I begin with this nightmare of a facility, My endodontist referred me back to Advantage Dental for a build and crown on my molar. The process to take an impression took them about 2-3 weeks of failed attempts and constantly scheduling me for awkward appointment times at they’re convenience, When the impression was taken after a grueling wait time of a couple weeks they called me and let me know that my case is being processed with insurance and they would call me back once it was done and that it would be no more than 7 days. Again 3 weeks later i get a call back from Advantage Dental to schedule my appointment to have a temporary crown put on! 3 weeks and the final product wasn’t even ready and it was never disclosed in the beginning that this is how the process would go, After having the temporary crown "secured" I left the appointment only to almost choke on the faulty temp crown. The instance of the temp crown coming off in the same day it was put on happened not 1 but 3 times, Advantage Dental turned my dental work into a comedy of errors so i suggest you pick another dental care provider in the humble area edit: 5 months and many reviews later you all can see that this office accuses many of its reviews as "lies" or says things like "you aren’t talking about the right office"

Negative experience: scheduled an appointment two weeks ahead of time, only to be called a few hours before the appointment to let me know they were not in my insurance.

Fantastic experience: We had a visit today at Advantage Dental and it went perfectly!!! Our dental assistant, Brian, was amazing and funny. He made sure that my daughter was comfortable during her procedure which helped her to not be so nervous or scared. The dentist also made sure that she wasn’t in any pain and they were able to complete everything in minutes. I love the discussion he had with my oldest (17) regarding the effects of her soda drinking and she hasn’t drank soda in 2 weeks so far!! I take my other daughter there for routine cleanings and I love it at Advantage Dental!

Negative experience: Will never go back! They gave my son a shot without notice and without having the treatment plan approved. It was the doctors fault. He wasn’t even scheduled for a treatment today!!!! You hear stuff about dental practices doing stuff like this but NEVER thought it’d be my son!!! Parents with children, DO NOT GO AND DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN! The doctor told his assistants to to give him the shot!

Negative experience: This office is only getting one star because of Dr.Malik and his assistant Julio who were AMAZING with my wisdom teeth extractions. I am a patient who has a sever fear of the dental setting and they made my procedure very smooth, relaxing and fast with no complications. Now my experience with front office is very different. First the staff seemed as if the incoming patients were irritating them, I even heard one staff member state “Thank God it’s Friday” in an unpleasant tone. I had to get all of my wisdom teeth extracted with my appointment being on a Friday, needless to say someone dropped the ball and my prescription was not sent over to my pharmacy which required me to not have my pain meds nor antibiotics for the entire weekend! I called the next day which was a Saturday, it clearly states on their website they are open 9:00am-3:00pm no one answered at the front desk just a machine picked up. I also left a message on their emergency staff line with no call back. But wait there is more!!! Not only did I not have my pain meds nor antibiotics for the entire weekend, the office charged me TWICE for my procedure which totaled $840. I was told by staff that giving me a refund was something they couldn’t do in office but a billing company which was stationed in Austin,TX had to via a check in the mail. I asked for the billing company contact info so I can resolve the matter on my own they declined to do so.I did not receive an estimate of when I would hear back about my claim or the exact time frame it would take for this refund to be processed, only if they do see a double charge they will send it in the mail. Such a scam! NEVER AGAIN. RESPONSE: I am not lying about anything that was said in my review. You like to tell others in your previous reviews that you will check with the phone recordings so maybe you should do so with mine in regards to me being charged twice and how it can only be refunded in check form but it's funny when I write a review you can miraculously refund it back to my card hmmm ok. Also check the message that was left on the emergency line Saturday of me asking someone for a call back in regards to my prescriptions not being sent over. I was told this am @ 8 when your doors opened by Ms.Shelby (which was the only one with decent customer service in the front office) that she could not give me any information on billing and actually sat for 30 mins to see if she can get in contact with YOU since your the one who handles the billing. How about Ms.Hyde sorry you had to experience pain for two days with no meds but you didn't acknowledge that I'm seeing just brushing that to the side. Instead you're saying I'm flat out lying in your "professional" way. I guess everyone else in the 239 google reviews that you have stating that your staff attitudes sucks are liars too. Maybe update your website if your not open on Saturday’s 9am-3pm as it states or take the Saturday business hours you have plastered on your business door down if you guys aren’t open. Yes everyone loves the weekend but in a business setting that is not something that needs to be stated in the tone that your employee did. Do better (Owner) and maybe your staff will follow suit.

The costs were reasonable and less than a couple other places I called for estimates. This is definitely the place I will go for dental services.
