Dr. Lee J. Simon, DDS

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this office. This entire process began after a routine dental cleaning, when I was referred for what I believed would be an evaluation and potential treatment plan for a surgical implant. Based on that referral, I expected a more thorough discussion regarding my options and whether the procedure could actually be performed. My experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. I waited nearly a month for the appointment, but very little was explained to me beforehand regarding what would actually take place, what my options were, or whether I was even a candidate for the procedure. I was scheduled for a 1:30 PM appointment, only 30 minutes before the office closed, and after waiting weeks to be seen and taking time off work, I left feeling like nothing meaningful had been accomplished. I was charged $225 for a consultation and ultimately told there was little or nothing that could be done regarding the implant I was seeking. If that was the case, I believe those concerns should have been addressed before scheduling the appointment and collecting the consultation fee. What frustrated me most was the lack of communication and personal attention. As a patient, I expected a more welcoming experience and a clearer explanation of my situation, treatment options, and realistic expectations. Instead, I left feeling like just another number rather than someone seeking help with an important dental issue. To make matters worse, after the appointment I attempted to contact the office by both phone and email regarding my concerns and the charges associated with the visit. Unfortunately, I never received a response. The lack of follow-up only added to my frustration and left me feeling that my concerns as a patient were not being taken seriously. I understand that not every patient is a candidate for every procedure, but I believe patients deserve transparency, clear communication, and realistic expectations before investing their time and money. Had I known there was a strong possibility that no treatment could be provided, I would have explored other providers rather than waiting nearly a month, taking time off work, and paying for a consultation that ultimately led nowhere. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office and would encourage others to ask detailed questions about consultation fees, treatment eligibility, and expected outcomes before scheduling an appointment. would've like to see dr. Simon,this Dr. Zhu is not at all concerned with her patients or the care, she just gives off for the money vibe.

I spent less than five minutes with the dentist because the tech answered all of my questions and she did a job on the cleaning. I believe her name was Shareda. Also the view is beautiful, lying on the chair staring out of the window was very relaxing.

Negative experience: I was very disappointed with the administrative and intake process. I submitted my new patient forms back in July 2025, but they were never acknowledged or processed by the office. I had to follow up several months later, through both a phone call and another email, and I still did not hear back. Based on this experience and the complete lack of response to my attempts to enroll, I seriously question if this office is accurately representing that they are accepting new patients. A lack of organization and responsiveness with new patient forms is a significant administrative concern.

Fantastic experience: The staff makes you feel at ease and welcome from the time you arrive. If any work needs to be done it's explained in easy to understand language. You receive quality treatment in a friendly environment. The practice has changed hands since Dr Simon has recently retired. So I hope the policy of the office operation remains unchanged especially for retirees without insurance. Another change is Monica who was my hygienist for many years is retiring and she made my visits pleasant because she has similar situation as I do because we have children and grandchildren. I hope that she enjoys her retirement and her replacement is as enjoyable as she is.

Very unfortunate that the new Dentist whom took over the practice she drilled too far in to my teeth and causes me To have an abscess for over a year now I have been dealing with the pain and infection. They will not just pull my tooth and I cannot find a dentist/endodontist to save my life. Missing Dr.Lee Simon real bad.

Negative experience: I never had an issue with Dr. Simon, he was a great dentist. However, ever since I had a tooth extraction by Dr. Zhu my life has been a literal nightmare. Dr. Zhu brushed me off and told me I must have had an issue before I had the extraction. I have been in severe pain for months and have spent thousands of dollars on treatments for the pain. I attempted to call the office several times to let them know that I would not be returning as well as my children, but every time I called it went right to the answering service. I was very hesitant to write this review because all the other employees were very kind to me when I was a patient there. I don’t deserve what I am currently dealing with and all I wanted to do was express why my family and I will not be returning.

Negative experience: I have been a patient of Dr.Simon for over 4 years. He never raised any concerns about my teeth and complemented how I took care of them. Then I had Dr. Zhu for the first time this year. First, she didn’t introduce herself at all. I’m actually pretty sure she said nothing to me the entire time. Secondly she claimed I had FIVE cavities (she didn’t even tell me directly she had the assistant tell me) that apparently developed in less than a year. I went to get a second opinion today and the dentist said I have ZERO and complemented how well I take care of my teeth. Be aware of dr. Zhu and get second opinions.

Negative experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Simon's since I was a child, before he even moved into his Cranberry street location. Dr. Zhu, the new dentist taking over, is more concerned about making money than she is about patient care. (Typical of young professionals that are being taught businees over skill/craftsmanship.) My sister and I both still have our wisdom teeth because they never caused us any trouble, and we were both given a "pitch" on why we should have them removed. Dr. Simon NEVER encouraged a patient to do something that didn't need to be done. Another disappointment is the new dental hygienist Melanie. Yes, she is very thorough, but she takes forever to do a simple teeth cleaning. I understand that she wants to "consult" with the patient about better tooth care, but wait until after your done cleaning my teeth! Look... your hands are already in my mouth. I don't need the added stress that comes with a 12-hour presentation on the severity of my tarter build-up!

I had a tooth that needed a root canal, and they were able to fit me in as a new patient within just one day. The procedure itself was seamless—I didn’t feel a thing! The temporary crown was expertly placed, but the final gold crown is simply perfection. It fits like it was custom-made just for me and shines brilliantly! The entire process was smooth and stress-free, and I genuinely look forward to every visit because of the warm, friendly atmosphere created by Dr. Zhu and her team. Without a doubt, Dr. Zhu is now my go-to dentist in Northwest PA! Highly recommend!

We made the right decision, have always received the best care with any dentist and we are in our 70s.

Fantastic experience: I haven't been to a dentist in a few years and wanted to get established with a new dentist. Everyone was extremely nice and the office was very professional. Amy did my cleaning and she was very helpful, talkative, and kind. They treated me as though I've been coming there for years. They even donated toothbrushes and toothpaste to the emergency shelter I work at which my administration was very thankful for. I look forward to coming back and setting up appointments for my wife and children.

Multiple crowns, teeth removal, many cavities and root canals have been fixed very well. When I open my mouth and my teeth see Dr. Lee they go nuts and cheer every time :)
