Negative experience: Where do I even begin? I have to give one star because I don’t have the option to give zero, but the correct rating would be 0 stars. I honestly don’t understand why I went to this appointment without reading the terrible reviews this place has. I guess it was because my primary care doctor referred me here for an infection in my wisdom tooth, and I simply made the appointment without questioning it. I also just moved to this town, so I don’t know anything or anyone here yet. My appointment was at 2:30 p.m., and I arrived 15 minutes early in case I needed to fill out any additional paperwork beyond what I had already completed online. I like to respect other people’s time, which clearly is not something they care about because they didn’t call me back until after 2:40 p.m. I scheduled my appointment over the phone a week ago. After I explained my situation, the representative told me, “I understand you don’t have dental insurance, but if you’re planning to pay out of pocket for whatever treatment you need, you first have to come in for an examination so we can determine what you need. If you agree with the treatment plan, then you can schedule the procedure.” I asked how much that first examination would cost, and she told me she would schedule me as a new patient, which meant the visit would cost $0. I said, “Perfect, let’s book it.” Today, when I arrived, I asked the front desk employee again. I don’t know if she was the same person I spoke with on the phone—probably not, because the person on the phone spoke Spanish and today’s employee did not. I asked, “As a new patient, do I have to pay anything today?” She answered, “No. The doctor will examine you, and if you need anything else, they’ll explain it to you. Then you can decide whether you want to proceed and ask about all the prices.” To make a long story short, they performed a limited exam only on my wisdom tooth, and afterward they told me I had to pay $95 because the only free exam was the comprehensive new-patient exam. My question is simple: I scheduled a free new-patient exam a week ago. Why wasn’t I given the exam I actually booked? The front desk employee insisted that she had told me. Told me what exactly? I asked twice whether the new-patient exam was free. Of course I knew I had a problem with my wisdom tooth—that’s why I made the appointment—but I have no way of knowing the difference between what they consider a limited exam versus a comprehensive exam. My appointment was scheduled as a new-patient comprehensive exam. If they decided to perform a different type of exam instead, that is not my responsibility. To make matters worse, they kept leaving me sitting in the chair waiting for 10 to 15 minutes at a time, repeatedly, between every step of the visit. The staff was very unprofessional. The front desk employee was polite, but she never gave me the explanation I needed, and they simply did whatever they wanted, even though their own system should have clearly shown that I was scheduled as a new patient. And finally, please, Sage Dental management, don’t reply to this review with the usual copy-and-paste response saying, “We’re sorry about your experience,” or “We take our patients’ feedback seriously and are always looking for ways to improve.” You clearly do not take feedback seriously. I’m reading terrible reviews from two years ago and more from just four months ago, which tells me you’ve had the same problems for years and have done nothing to fix them.

Fantastic experience: Had a totally pain and discomfort free experience this last visit. A 40+ year old fixed bridge had to be replaced in my 89 year old mouth due ro a cavity in an anchor tooth. Every step of the way I was impressed with use of the latest technology and the care and concern of the pleasant thoughtful staff that were involved. Thanks to all of them.

Negative experience: Would recommend you to stay away if you can. This is the only place my insurance covers a small portion. I will be changing as soon as I can. They try to upsell you in any and everything you can. Carefully review any estimates before signing and ask questions. This is a business trying to make money off you and not a dental office that cares. They offer to send your receipt via email but it’s not itemized. So be sure to ask when you’re checking out. Also my last deep cleaning (after getting hundreds of unnecessary charges removed before they started work) I went to pay bill and they said $35 but at end it said I still owed $80 I asked if I still owed that and they said no. I even pointed to it and showed them what it said. Then, of course, I got bill for that amount. I could dive deeper into everything but read the reviews. Don’t trust this place. And I’ve learned I need to pay for better insurance.

Negative experience: My mother just had oral surgery at Sage Dental, and her experience was honestly very disappointing and concerning. From the very beginning, the staff treated her poorly. Any time she asked reasonable questions about her care, the response was condescending and dismissive. Instead of making her feel informed and comfortable, they made her feel like a burden for simply advocating for herself. What was most troubling was the complete lack of consideration for her medical needs. She clearly communicated that she has high anxiety and high blood pressure, yet the dentist offered no form of sedation or anxiety management whatsoever. For a surgical procedure, this felt not only careless but negligent in terms of patient comfort and well being. After the procedure, she was sent home with nothing but 600 mg ibuprofen for pain. When that proved insufficient, she called to ask about alternatives, especially since their own paperwork stated that stronger options could be provided if needed. The response? More rudeness from reception, vague assurances that they would “check with the doctor,” and, as usual, no follow up. This pattern of dismissiveness, lack of communication, and disregard for patient concerns is unacceptable, especially in a medical setting where patients are vulnerable and deserve compassion. My mother deserved to feel safe, heard, and properly cared for. Instead, she was met with indifference at every step. I would strongly caution others to consider a practice that prioritizes patient care, communication, and basic empathy.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a root canal and i was extremely scared. All the staff were super comforting and helpful. My doctor was amazing and walked me through the whole procedure. It was the best experience I’ve had at a dentist office. Forever great full for them

Fantastic experience: I've been with Diana L at Sage Dentist Vero for quite a while. Diana is a super nice, detail-oriented dental technician who really knows the business. Very experienced, very knowledgeable about what to look for; very easy to understand with any instructions or suggestions she might offer. She is careful to let you know what she is about to do and afterward makes sure what you are doing (brushing, flossing...) is working. Thank you Diana.

Negative experience: I thought I was coming in for a crown repair! They HAD to do X-rays before I could even see the dentist. Also I HAD to have the hygienist examine my teeth. Total insurance SCAM!!!! Never brought up my chipped crown during exam. I would NEVER let any of these people touch my mouth again!!

Negative experience: They took me in almost 40 minutes late after already silently changing my appointment time once prior to my appointment. They weren't able to tell me how much a cleaning would cost without taking $150 worth of x-rays first, which they should have already had from previous appointments. I left without receiving any care

Negative experience: Horrible experience. Do not go to this location. Was a new patient came on on a dental emergency. Was brought back to the back. Met with the hygienist and was.told their internet was.down and they were waiting. No biggie. Dentist came in and did a physical exam and explained everything. Said once he reviews.the xray he will cpme up with a trestment plan and someone will contact me to go over Also said he will submit a.rx.for an antibiotic just in case. Contacted them the next day to follow up. Was told someone will followup. Received a voicemail to go.over the treatment plan. Called back and was.told.the system is still.down??? Very disorganized and does.npt seem to care for patients. I made an appointment at another provider that hopefully is more efficient.

I’ll be going back to my last one I thought with my new insurance since they wanted me to stick with this new Dentist, I would try it big mistake even just examining me. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a long time patient of Sage Dental in Plantation. After relocating to St. Lucie county, I was fortunate to be able to continue my care at at the Vero Beach location using my Sage Dental plan. I was able to conveniently schedule my annual exam and routine cleaning. The staff are extremely professional, welcoming and friendly. #highlyrecommend. Update - 10/28/25: I haven’t been disappointed by a medical establishment as much as this one in a long time. In spite of my decades long loyalty to Sage Dental of Broward, I had to cut ties after a year of treatment at the Vero Beach location, where I received two annual exams, including x-rays and several cleanings. My last cleaning was with a new hygienist. My previous Sage hygienist who I had a trusted relationship with had left the company. I was given no advanced notice of the employee change until I arrived for my appointment at which point, I made a leap of faith to take a seat in the chair with the new hygienist who with a heavy, unsympathetic hand, proceeded to give me one of the worst and most painful teeth cleanings of my life, (even after 3 applications of topical numbing). Shortly thereafter I ended up at Dental Partners of Vero Beach through the VA community care program to get outfitted for a new sleep apnea night guard, who discovered I had two root canal re-infections presenting. (This was just weeks after my annual exam at Sage). I decided to move my care to Dental Partners of Vero Beach at that point. Sage did not make the transfer of records easy whatsoever. The corporate office never answered or returned a single call. I’m happy to say the front desk manager at the new practice was able to persuade Sage to release my records. #notrecommended

Negative experience: Have given this place multiple opportunities over the past 4 months and they keep showing they are horrible- I would recommend staying far away from this place. The front desk staff is rude. When you first come in no one is friendly, they seem as if you're bothering them to check in for your appointment. The first dentist I saw was rude, dismissive and condescending. After that experience, I had a consultation with a different dentist scheduled, I arrived on time and had to wait over 45 minutes to be seen, with no one letting me know there would be a delay and ended up having to leave because I couldn't wait anymore due to my schedule. When I was there for my next cleaning I saw a different dentist for a consult, who listened to my concerns, and I felt comfortable with going forward so I made an appointment to do some fillings. The appointment was rescheduled a few days before without speaking to me. Then on the day of the new appointment, they called me and asked me what I was having done and if I could come in earlier because the dentist had to leave early and wouldn't have time to do everything I needed at my appointment time and that she was actually moving offices. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the last minute notice as well as not wanting to start with a new dentist who wasn't going to be there, the receptionist got defensive and was very rude. The only reason I kept coming back to this place was because the dental hygienist Diana was amazing and did the best cleaning and had such good energy. The office manager is very nice too and understands customer service but the rest of this place really needs to get it together because this is one of the worst experiences I have had at a dentist besides Diana who is amazing.

I am very delighted with the outcome I have of my front tooth filling today very professional service all the way around. The computers went down and there was a wait but the office staff made sure everybody was well aware of the situation and was extremely courteous.

Negative experience: Giving them one star is far too generous, only because of no other options did I give them that. My reason for staying with them for several years was because of my insurance. I have been taking care of my sick elderly mother until she recently died for the past few years. So not working and having very little money I was stuck with sage dental. They have no regard to doing what is right they really dropped the ball with me. After crowns partials and many extractions later. I was told to pull my remaining teeth and get dentures. My insurance would not cover them because of the partials which don’t work because they pulled more teeth. So now they wouldn’t help if I didn’t come up with the cash upfront. They also sent back over 1000 dollars to WellCare which was trying to help me. They treated me like dirt because of my financial situation. And because I’m clearly upset missing so many teeth dr. AI -kubaisi said he doesn’t want to deal with me anymore. Disgusted angry and don’t know what to do …. Thanks for nothing sage of vero

Fantastic experience: Today’s visit was a bit overwhelming with the unexpected cost of the dental plan. But the staff was amazing. Dr. Pinero was incredibly helpful and thorough. Dr. Annamaria went above and beyond to help me as well-to figure out the best plan for me and my situation. Yesenia Bruno, the Office manager Was incredible !!. She gave me information on a discount plan and she figured out all kinds of possibilities to help me able to get this plan of action. She stayed over her shift time to assist me and get my plan rolling. Thank you.

Negative experience: This dental office cannot be serious. If you choose this as your dentist be advised, you will wait longer in the waiting room than with the dentist. I went to get a chip tooth repaired that I scheduled 4 days prior to the appointment date. Arrive at 10 a.m.... did not see the dentist till 11:17 a.m. for him to try and sell me on two crowns. Mind you when I went for my initial appointment, I advised the dentist that I had a gap in my back tooth (seeing as they advertise Ortho.) and he told me to put a crown on it... excuse me?! I advised him I wouldn't do a crown unless it was my last and only option for any dental work... Then when I brought up closing the gap he told me to go elsewhere because he would have to bill me for a full treatment (taken aside but okay love the honesty.) Well after advising him I don't want the crowns, he caught an attitude and told me okay to note it can chip again and how embarrassing it looks to walk around with a chipped tooth (Again EXCUSE ME?) The dental assistant comes in (only reason I kept going back, she was amazing!) and told me I would need to come back at 3 p.m. to get this done because they don't have time. I lost it... after TWO hours of my time wasted now YOU don't have time to do what I need done?! I paid and left. This is the worst service you can get, to be treated as if your time and money don't matter because you aren't just slapping crowns on your teeth.

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Dr. Pinero and Diana enough. I came in after surgery with a very difficult situation and embarrassingly dirty teeth, but they were both incredibly kind, gentle, and understanding. Diana cleaned everything thoroughly without causing me any pain, and Dr. Pinero—as always—took the time to make sure I was comfortable and that we were doing the right thing for my overall health. I’ve been seeing Dr. Pinero for many years, and she is truly the greatest dentist I’ve ever been to. She genuinely cares about her patients’ well-being, and I’m so grateful.

Fantastic experience: My first visit this morning as a new patient was fabulous. Although I waited a half hour before being called to exam room, once back Diana took X-rays and then Doc reviewed them, examined and scored my teeth and gums, and discussed the need for a few fillings to avoid needing a crown. Im going back later this afternoon for those fillings. My Medicare insurance covers these totally. Great start !!!

Fantastic experience: I'm absolutely beaming about my dentist! Not only did he give me a reason to smile again with his amazing work, but he's also on the cutting edge of tech! He's now showing me this awesome new AI system that's giving me a crystal-clear view of my teeth's condition. Talk about transparency! Dr Al Kubaisi is hands down the best - his expertise, care, and enthusiasm make every visit a breeze. If you're looking for a dentist who truly cares, look no further! 5 stars isn't enough - I'd give him 10 if I could! ❤️

Negative experience: Sage dental staff are the most disorganized individuals I have ever had to deal with. I changed my insurance 2 weeks ago. Took my new insurance information into the Vero beach office. Because they take time to add insurance information into their system I had to cancel my appointment on 27 May and tried to explain to the receptionist that I needed an appointment for an exam & cleaning. She scheduled me for a noon appointment on June 3. When I turned up for my appointment today I was told they have to reschedule my exam appointment for the Exam , then the cleaning appointment. They had my phone number, when I asked ask why no one contacted me I was as told she wasn’t sure why no one contacted me and why no one checked my insurance. After 2 years as a patient at the clinic I am going to find a new dental clinic that has staff that are really efficient.

They had the flexible hours I needed to get seen immediately when I needed it. Unfortunately I had to get an emergency extraction done, but the staff were great and Dr. A was amazing! I had an allergic reaction to one of my meds and needed to speak with the dentist. Even though it was the long weekend, he called me back and spent enough time over the phone making me feel at ease, explaining his recommendations and even asked me to text him in a few days, over the long weekend, even just to let him know I was ok. If you are looking for a professional, knowledgeable, patient focused dental office, this is it!

The facility is extraordinarily clean and modern with very up-to-date equipment. I can't imagine ever going to another dental center as long as live in the area.
