Fantastic experience: Keller Family Dental takes care of their patients!

Negative experience: I stopped coming here with my daughter because the dental hygienist; Natalie; is so rough and painful. She will scold you with every visit and my daughter leaves crying with cuts on her gums. I also have experienced cuts and sores on my gums. It took over 3 wks. to heal. My husband and son still come and take the pain becausethey do have good dentists, but my son has had to be coming to work on 2 crowns for 8 months! Why does he need temporarily for that long, I asked. They give many reasons why and have sent him to an orthodontist. He came back so he can finally put the crown on. Iam so unhappy with them.

Fantastic experience: Keller Family Dental, offers the BEST in Dental Care! Their entire staff…Stephanie (Hygienist), my Surgeon, Dr. Jeffrey Bergman, and his Assistant, Olivia, were totally amazing. They all are so friendly, kind, and professional. Dr Bergman, even called me the evening after my surgery, to check on me! My thanks to the entire crew!

The staff have always been welcoming and kind, and my hygienist, Natalie, is outstanding. Fortunately, I have required very few dental interventions (thanks Natalie!), so my review primarily speaks to the office's excellent preventative care.

I recently hurt my shoulder and it is hard to sit in certain positions but she took her time and was very understanding! Fantastic experience: This was my second visit. Charlena was my dental assistant. She was so kind empathetic and caring. I had allergies and at times she had to stop to accommodate my coughing spells. I felt bad but she was very patient. I was able to complete my visit and I was happy to leave feeling refreshed. The staff up front are also very helpful and caring. I am very happy that I found this clinic. Well worth my drive!

Negative experience: The doctors don't listen to you. When they were giving me a root canal I told them they did not get all of the nerve, it still hurts two years later. When they put the crowns I told them they didn't fit, they told me I'll get used to it. A year later I told them they hurt, they gave me mouthwash, another year later and I want to pull them out of my mouth. I'm not going back for them to just continue screwing up, I'm going elsewhere. I'll update with what the new dentist says about this work. UPDATE: Got an American dentist who fixed the bad job that these scammers did.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been coming to this practice for over 25 years. When Dr. Perry retired over a decade ago, We stayed. Many docs (good and okay) came and went. Now we have great service with Natalie, Dr. Borgman, and the dental techs. We are very pleased with everyone here. Natalie tells me when I need to work better on my tooth and gum conditions, and I keep working to improve because of her consistently excellent care.

Fantastic experience: I have not been to the dentist in more years then I want to admit. I have a horrible gag reflex which makes going to the dentist give me a lot of anxiety, so I ignored my tooth pain. Jojo was a God send, calm reassuring and knew just what to say and do to get the x-rays done quickly and I only gaged a bit one time! The tooth was gone so I needed a root canal and crown. Dr Whitmore was great, he and Jojo got my tooth fixed and a temp crown put in and I am already planning on going back to have a cleaning and check the rest of my teeth so that I hopefully do not end up with more bad teeth. If you have anxiety and issues like me or just have routine care, I highly recommend this team, you will not be disappointed. *****

Fantastic experience: I had a deep cleaning at this dental office with Emma. She was very friendly and professional and gave me good tips for keeping my teeth clean and healthy. She was also very efficient doing the work in a reasonable about time which was much appreciated. This was my first time meeting Emma and in all the years that I've been going to this office which are many, I can say that she was excellent. This is a great dental office they take very good care of you here so I highly recommend if you need a dentist give them a call.

Fantastic experience: Relocated to the North Dallas area and needed to find a new dentist. Always a daunting task. This office was exceptional from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, kind and personable. Natalie, Jo, Dr. Mark we’re all very good at what they did. X-rays, cleaning, including a deep cleaning, and the doctors exam were done quickly, Flawlessly and painless. They valued our time by getting us in when scheduled and out quickly. For a new patient appointment and a first time visit my husband and I were both impressed and very happy with our choice. Would highly recommend Keller family dental.

Negative experience: Do not go to this dental practice!! I had a bridge & teeth removed on 4/15/2025 due to severe pain. Dr. Whitmore was not only rough with the procedure where 2X HE JAMMED A UTENSIL PAST THE AREA OF THE TOOTH & into my lower jaw in the base of my mouth under the tongue. I requested an antibiotic because of a prior experience with an abcess that caused me to have a hot, swollen red area, which I had in my jaw at the time of the procedure. However DR. Whitmore ignored my concerns about needing an antibiotic. I called them back the next day after the procedure, at which point Dr. Whitmore again disregarded my concerns. I received an antibiotic from my primary care physician that was not strong enough. My swelling progressively got worse to the point I ended up in the emergency room on 4/19/2025 due to swelling that was starting to progress to my throat. I was admitted to the hospital for 2 days to receive IV antibiotics & to make sure my throat did not close up & kill me. I was sent home with oral antibiotics. I then found out that Dr. Whitmore’s office neglected to submit the bone graft part of the procedure to my insurance. When Keller Family Dental finally sent it into my insurance, they sent it in as out of network (higher cost, less coverage). I then called them today & the office claimed he was out of network at the time. However, the part of the procedure they submitted as in network. This office recently changed ownership and I would recommend avoiding Dr. Marcus Whitmore on any dental procedure. The office is obviously not being run professionally as the office staff is giving contradictory information & of course my biggest reason to avoid him is the fact I ended up in the hospital after Dr. Whitmore completely disregarded my concerns that were obviously well founded. I just noticed as well that Dr. Whitmore submitted a false claim on my insurance. I only saw him 1 day that week, but they submitted my procedure as having been dine the following day to ensure they got paid for a consultation as well as the procedure. It is all pretty shady to me.

Negative experience: I keep getting messages from Keller Family Dental addressed to someone named Jeffery. I am not Jeffery and I don’t even live in your country. Such technical mistakes don’t make a good impression for your business.

Fantastic experience: I have gone to many different dentist in the DFW area . By far this is the best one I have been too. Will never go anywhere else staff is the best from the front desk all the way to the dental assistance. Best dental decision i ever made. 5 star all the way.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and wonderful dentist. So helpful and honest. I took my daughter for a tooth extraction and upon looking at the x-ray images, the dental assistant said we can wiggle the tooth and it’ll come out on its own. No need for extraction (unless we want to). Then dentist came in and said the same thing. He had the assistant give a gum numbing cream so my daughter is more comfortable while she wiggles her tooth herself. They could have just done an extraction and charged for it, but instead the dentist joked and said “this looks like a diy job” Her tooth came out that evening. Love them and highly recommend!!!

Positive experience: The front desk staff are super sweet and friendly. My hygienist is really nice and does a pretty good job with the cleaning, but she is Always late. I arrive before my 8AM appt all the time and have to wait 10-15 mins b/c she isn’t there. I know this b/c she always apologizes and shares about traffic or something causing her 1-hour drive to be stressful. It would be great to be able to have my appt. begin on time.

Fantastic experience: Good morning, as usual my dental service this week was excellent. Natalie, my dental technician, provided me with exceptional service and advised/reminded me to do the little things for keeping healthy teeth. I am still like a little kid when it comes to going to the dentist (hate pain), so I take her "reminders" to heart. Natalie keeps me on a straight arrow, meaning follow instructions as best you can and you will have an healthy mouth, plus less or no pain when getting a cleaning. Then when I went to the back JoJo was so kind and the doctor was great. Everything was explained and didn’t take long at all. I felt very at ease with everyone. Negative experience: I'm not sure why there are so many 4+ star reviews, or who is paying these people to say these things... but visiting this practice was truly the worst of the dental experiences I've ever had. The office is not welcoming – it's uninviting, cold, and you feel like you could fall through the hollow waiting room floor at any minute. The office staff is disorganized, and the hygienists (specifically the ones that I dealt with) were clumsy, forgetful, and rough. I was given a deep cleaning, and when I asked for anesthesia, they said "it won't be too bad." I was literally sobbing by the time it was over, and each time I said "ouch!" or cringed, the hygienist would just say "I know, I know" and keep going. As soon as a VERY quick evaluation occurred, a front desk staff member walked in with an extremely lengthy plan of what all they needed to do, which outlined "four extractions," to which I responded to "um what?" They had in that plan that they were to remove my wisdom teeth (which were removed when I was 14 years old...), and that I would need multiple crowns and fillings, and told me to sign and accept the treatments. What?! Thousands of dollars worth of work that I didn't need. It was SUCH a bizarre situation. Needless to say, I didn't sign and told them they were mistaken. All in all, I ended up needing a filling and a crown, which resulted in total of SIX visits because they ordered me a SILVER crown after I told them I wanted porcelain/tooth color. Then, that same tooth that they wanted to put a crown on was in SO much pain after what felt like hours of shaving down, the doctor said "looks like you need a root canal after all." All of that wasted time and pain for nothing. Luckily, another office handled the root canal and they were wonderful... but I cannot and will not recommend ANYONE be a patient at Keller Family Dental.

Fantastic experience: Started going to Keller Family Dental last year and I am so happy with them. They are very friendly from the time you walk in to the time you leave. The hygienist that has worked on my teeth is a lovely lady with lots of experience. I would highly recommend Keller Family Dental.

Positive experience: First time customer because my old dentist no longer in network. Hygienist thought I still had my wisdom teeth from the x-rays I had, even though they were all removed years ago from an oral surgeon. That was concerning and made me think she did not know what she was doing, even though she seemed older. She also did not know if fluoride was covered when she asked me if I wanted it. Said it was only covered until 19 and she had to ask the receptionist. Usually when I have gone to my cleanings they floss after polishing and that was also not done. I felt like the dentist barely looked for cavities. It was certainly not the same level of my old dentist in Keller that I could easily give 5 stars. The one just does the minimum from what I can tell.

They make sure you know what they are doing every step of the way and make sure you are as comfortable as possible. From the friendly front office staff to the amazing hygienists Natalie (truly the best) to the Dr I would highly recommend Keller Family Dental.

Negative experience: Their new patient policy states they need 48 hours notice about a cancelation, or they charge $75. I understand and respect that, however, I was not able to cancel in time due to my phone has been having issues/I train, and they put a new class (today) I had to cover today occurring around that time. After spending thousands of dollars since going to KFD for 7 years, they seemed to stick to their policy after I explained the situation. It's fine considering you can't throw a rock without finding new dentist around here, and with the high turnover, you don't make relationships with the dentists anyway. It's just puzzling to me they didn't seem to care at all they are losing my husband's and I's business. Oh well!

Negative experience: Funny that the review Brittany L. Dwyer left with her experience with the new dentist completely different than mine. I am dealing with about the exact same issue, an uneven bite from a crown done by this office almost 4 years ago now. I have been trying to have it adjusted by this place ever since and they have been rude, disrespectful and combative the entire way. I met a 5th dentist yesterday over my 4 years being here(since I also came from Dr. Karr's practice) and she wanted me to feel bad for her hour drive home when I live in Paradise Texas, not asking me anything about my commute or the fact that the office had me wait for 15 minutes for no reason and to essentially be told to come back for another appointment. Your job is to fix people's teeth, that is what you are there being paid for. I am not concerned with your commute home, just as you are not concerned with mine. Don't expect me to care when no one at this office cares about me. The entire staff make it extremely awkward and frustrating to get the service that I paid for and deserve, I paid for a crown, that doesn't mean I paid for it to be improperly seated and give me a "heavy" bite as described by the new dentist, the bite is uneven and I've lived with the discomfort for 4 years. It would be nice if literally any single one person employed at this location would show even a modicum of sympathy toward their customers. And I use the word customer because I am definitely not treated like a patient here. Absolutely miserable experience here, stay away if you are reading before coming here.

Positive experience: Ok, so first I'd like to address a few things that Chris C (and others) reviewed on here about Keller Family Dental. I do agree with him about the dentist turnover...it is outrageous and I've never seen that before. It does make you think about the real reason(s) why this happens. Almost every 6months there's a new dentist. I was sent to this dentist office bc my original dentist retired right before we even knew what covid was. I've seen 5 different dentist since I started going there (2019). I've questioned myself numerous of times if I should leave because of the high turnover. I had a crown that was redone by Dr. Wrist in Oct 2021. By August 2022 I've had a few cleanings and x-rays since and no one said a thing about the crown that was done in Oct 2021. The crown was not seated properly (very visible on the xrays) and no one said a thing. So when I went to my 6month cleaning in August 2022 (and it's a new dentist of course) this new dentist (Dr. Kodra Laurence) says they have to redo the crown that wasn't properly seated bc he sees a cavity (per the xrays). I was extremely upset bc everything he saw was visible on my prior x-rays. Dr. Laurence basically told me that I'm responsible for paying for it....even though Dr. Wrist didn't seat the crown probably. I was fuming!!!!! So I left, without scheduling a follow-up and only scheduled my regular 6month check-up. 6 months later I had a feeling Dr.Laurence was no longer there and I was correct. Dr. Al was there and it was her SECOND day on the job. During my cleaning they asked if I had any concerns....I brought up my prior visit and told them I want to talk about fixing it. Dr. Al came in and addressed that I had an issue and IMMEDIATELY said "my job is to take care of my patients and you were not taken care of. That crown was not seated properly and you shouldn't have to pay for another dentist mistake. So, we're going to redo the crown at no cost!" I literally started crying. Dr. Al is truly genuine and means what she says. She took care of me! When I went in to redo the crown she was very transparent in what she saw, she asked for my thoughts, she gave her expertise on the situation and made sure to communicate that she will make sure things are done right this time. The assistant (Jo...sorry if I misspelled it) was FANTASTIC!!!!!! Omg, these two together are phenomenal!!! They made me so comfortable when it came to asking questions or wanting to see my x-rays. Absolutely love them!! Talk about a complete 180!! If it wasn't for these two ladies, the review I'm leaving now wouldn't be so great and I wouldn't come back. Dr. Al, from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!!! I hope you stay around a lot longer because you are something special to the Keller Family Dental Office.

Negative experience: Here are 4 reasons to NEVER go with Keller Family Dental... Myself and my three children have gone to Keller Family Dental since August 2020, so this is a short summary. Issue 1 - Dentist Turnover. In my three years at Keller Family Dental, I've had 3 different dentists - Dr. Ghia, Dr. Kodra, and now someone new (Dr. Al I believe). With each new dentist, I was told that they were going to be long term with the practice. This is a major red flag. Issue 2 - Poor treatment experience. Apart from the Dentist turnover, my children described their treatments as being rough and painful. I would 100% agree. I always felt rushed myself and on a set time frame without much personalized care. As a side note, the hygienists overall do well there, just not the dentists. Issue 3 - Unorganized, overly expensive and unethical During our last visit on 3/1, all three of my children were seen for their routine cleaning. We were only charged $71 as "a favor", since apparently Encore plan was no longer recognized by this office (I was unaware). During this same visit, Dr. Kodra said that he had found 4 cavities in one child, 1 in another, and 2 for myself during my previous visit 11/22. This not only was completely out of the norm for us having very good dental hygiene, but also ended up being confirmed false by another dentist we had to pay for a second opinion. This was a flat out lie to generate more revenue. So sad. In cavity work alone, Keller Family Dental quoted $1,500, not including a recommended night guard for another $500. If this wasn't enough, much to my surprise, I received a text today 4/14 saying another amount of $147 was owed (45 days later). Issue 4 - Combative employees and deplorable customer service. Regarding the above mentioned text, I called the office right away and spoke with Loretta ? and her corporate manager Christy Kirkendol. We had been apparently undercharged for the 3/1 visit, which resulted in another $147 being owed. There was no explanation given as to why we were not charged the full amount at the time of the visit. Loretta was also very inappropriately trying to talk over me, raise her voice, and welcomed my review of the practice, saying she would invalidate it regardless. Her response was that corporate decides and that was final. Doesn't sound too "family"...and truthfully, it was combative, aggressive, and overtly rude. In other words, they are very corporate. In short, I paid the full amount owed today, and will never go back. I would 100% recommend exploring all other options first, especially if you are paying cash. It's places like these that create distrust in the dental industry and their drive for profits before patients.

Fantastic experience: Keller Family Dental is amazing. The last dental practice I went to in another city was terrible but Keller Family Dental was the exact opposite. They provide the most amazing customer service and take the time to explain everything along the way. They answered all my questions with patience and kindness. 10 out of 10 recommend this practice!

Positive experience: I've have never had such a terrible experience from a business. They tell me I have to have wisdom teeth removed before I can have any other dental work done. Then I had three crowns put on. One of the temporary crowns hurt with excruciating pain for three weeks. No pain medication could be prescribed because I was in other state. When I was finally got the crown it didn't fit properly so they ground down on my good teeth. I have not been able to chew on that side since. Well less than a year later that crown came off on new years day. They tell me only a dentist can (use adhesive) reattach a crown and all the dentist are out for the week! Scheduling has been way more difficult that it should be to put the crown back on. In my opinion you should look elsewhere for quality dental work. UPDATE: 2-10-23 I had my crown placed by a new dentist there. Dr. Kodra. Nice, knowledgeable, and gentle. Best dentist office visit ever. Nothing like before. The dental assistant was great. A total 180 from last year. They had me all fixed up in a timely manner. I totally recommend Dr. Kodra.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient, and I am blown away by the level of customer service provided by Ms. Loretta. I woke up with a dental emergency, and ms. Loretta did all she could to fit me in for a last minute appointment. She even contacted my insurance company and got all my dental insurance information for me. She deserves a raise! Fantastic experience: Phenomenal experience! The staff is helpful and considerate in all aspects. Care and services were prompt and detail oriented. The orthodontist focused on issues at hand but considered long term options and was willing to work with what I wanted and what needed to be done. Again, all staff was wonderful. The staff at the front desk was so caring and called the following day to heck on how I was doing. I am so grateful I found this office!

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff all round. They make you feel welcomed. Great with the kids. As much as I fear “dentist” I actually have no problems going to Keller Family Dental. At Keller Family Dental they will tell you all things they are about to do and walk you through procedures. There’s no pressure and they make you feel good about how you take care of your teeth and give you advice rather than talk down to you like I’ve experienced else where.

Fantastic experience: I was so impressed with the sweet, beautiful ladies that helped me up front. They took care of me from the minute I walked through the door. Things got even better when Dr Kodra came in and took such good care of me. He spent the time reassuring me everything was ok and he kept calming me down. He did such an amazing job and I highly recommend him. He’s professional, kind, respectful and an incredible listener. Fantastic Doctor. Great man!!

Fantastic experience: Who wants to go to the dentist in joy? Well, I know I left happy, at peace and at ease! My appointment went very well, I was listened to and accommodated as I should be, being 25 weeks pregnant, I was so worried about pain in the whole procedure since I needed a deep cleaning, I was given the right amount of anesthesia, my hygienist was gentle and very careful to prevent anything that could cause discomfort. It's not that I'm looking forward to coming back, but I know what to expect, without anxiety or worry, because I know I will be taken care of.

Negative experience: It was an okay experience, but not the best. There was confusion about scheduling. I called them mid July for an appointment, and the earliest they could see me was the end of August, which is fair, I know the dentist books things way in advance. But on the phone I was told my appointment was at 10 am, so I wrote down 10am. The day of my appointment comes, and they call me and said I was late for my 8:30 appointment. But they told me I could come in at 1:30 instead. When I went and looked at my confirmation email for the original appointment (which I didn’t read before since I wrote down the appointment info) it said 9:00, and then the reminder they sent a few days before said 8:30. No one contacted me about a change in time, and they 100% told me 10:00 because I wrote it down as she told me. But I went in and the staff isn’t the most friendly, they weren’t unfriendly, they’re just not very welcoming in my opinion. They kept telling me I had a ton of build up, and kept stressing that point. But I know I didn’t have a ton of build up, I had lunch right before since my appointment was pushed back, and I’m pretty sure they were just seeing my lunch in my teeth. I’ve always taken very good care of my teeth, I brush and floss every day, so for them to make it seem like they were terrible didn’t make sense. Like, I can see my teeth too. The whole thing just felt off to me, and I just didn’t have a good feeling while I was there. It felt like they were just trying to get money and charge for a “deeper” cleaning. They even said I need to come back this year since my insurance will cover it even though it’s well before I would need another cleaning. Idk maybe I just had an off experience and it’s just me trying to read into things, but that was my experience.

Positive experience: Friendly. They keep me advised about everything they are doing, about to do or need to do and why. I sincerely believe they care about me and my dental health.

Negative experience: The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful but the dental staff were not. My son had an exam and the dentist never explained anything to me, just sent a price quote for treatment to the front desk. And it was extremely expensive! I do not have insurance so I shopped around and found a great place to go for half of the cost of this place. I would never ever go back.

Positive experience: Sad to hear that my dentist has left this place and no other dentist was currently joined. The staff was sufficient; however I didn't realize most of the staff I know has also left. Fairly disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Natalie has been cleaning my teeth for several years now and she does a great job. Bonus points because she doesn't try to make conversation with me .... Because that's hard for the patient to manage during a cleaning! But, she does consistently tell me exactly what she's doing, so communication is superb! All other office staff and dentists are top notch.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Keller Family Dental by my Retired Dentist Dr. Karr. I was a little reluctant to go because I knew nothing about them, so I sent my husband to see them first to find out how was the service . He came back and said the service was great So I called and scheduled a cleaning session and I got an appointment the next day with the hygienist from Dr Karr old office . Hygienist Monica , who is a great by the way. I also, met A new Dentist her name is Dr. Ghia, she was very nice and reassuring. I would reccomend Keller Family dental because my 1st time visit was a great experience.

Negative experience: I was told I did not deserve to keep my wisdom teeth at one point. Every appointment the staff would constantly tell me how I didn’t deserve to keep my teeth, my type 1 diabetes needed tight control, etc. they know nothing about type 1 diabetes and have no business telling me how my auto immune disease works. This was the worst dentist I have ever been to. The staff was rude and made unnecessary comments about me. After leaving here I have a deep fear of dentists and I didn’t before coming here. Do not come here!

Negative experience: The office staff (Jasmine) initially mis-filed my procedure and after a lengthy phone call facilitated by my wife with our insurance company, mis-handled the same claim for the 2nd time. Throughout the process she was rude and very hard to deal with. *More detail below. My broke tooth (as a result of a medical issue) and crown was to be filed medical as advised by my insurance company (same dental and medical- Cigna). The Cigna support team member went through the form line by line with Jasmine and my wife on the phone. After re-filing medical, Cigna never received the claim. My wife questioned Jasmine and was told ‘it was mailed to wrong address’. We are not convinced it was ever mailed because of how Jasmine reacted throughout the whole process. I guess filing medical in lieu of dental is more work. My wife spent way too much time doing Jasmine’s job and needless to say my family will not be going back to this place. Oh, and the crown fell out less than a year later. They did put it back on for free only after attempting to charge me and my rebuttal. We do not recommend this place and currently searching for a new dentist.
