Fantastic experience: I just back from my 2nd appointment and am glad I chose Western Iowa! Everybody’s so pleasant and nice. Dr Day and Mandy made me feel very good and did an excellent job!! I’d recommend this business to anyone looking for a good dentist!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: My life long dentist retired a few years ago and I have missed the dedicated care he provided. Since that time I’ve been with another dentist whose office felt like a revolving door of front office staff, hygienists, and dentists, some with little competence. That office did me a favor by calling me literally 2 days before my appointment to tell me they were no longer taking my insurance. After much research I made an appointment with Western Iowa Dental. I have found what I’ve been so desperately missing since my long time dentist retired! Everyone at Western Iowa Dental from the receptionist, to the dental hygienist, to Dr. Galvin were helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They all made me feel so welcomed. If you are looking for a practice that feels like home where patients matter, I highly suggest Western Iowa Dental.

Dr. Galvin is truly exceptional; he maintains a high level of professionalism, expertise, and compassion during consultations, consistently addressing any inquiries or concerns thoroughly. The dental hygienists are exemplary, ensuring a comfortable and seamless experience throughout each visit.

Fantastic experience: From the front desk lady’s, to the dental assistant’s and dentist. The moment I walk in, they were professional and polite. I had a tooth infection that lead to a back molar being extracted. I absolutely felt no pain. I could not recommend them enough to anybody looking for quality dental work.

Fantastic experience: I've been to Western Iowa Dental twice now and am highly impressed with Dr. Galvin and his whole office team. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted warmly and treated like family. The doctor and his team are friendly, relaxed, and professional while still making the whole procedure lighthearted and yes, even fun. (And trust me, dentist and fun are two words I've never put in the same sentence until now! lol). I would 100% recommend Western Iowa Dental to anyone looking for a great dentist!

Fantastic experience: I was really worried that I cracked a tooth but just chipped it. Dentist wasn't worried about it and didn't create additional cost for me that wasn't needed. Was able to get an appointment without any issues.

Negative experience: I’m extremely disappointed in This dental office. When my husband and I went in for our appointments, we were overcharged for x-rays and for a cleaning that my husband didn’t even get because of severe inflammation. After talking with the manager and sharing my concerns, she did agree to look into the billing issues. I shared with her an unhygienic incident that had happened, and she became hostile and hung up on me after I asked for somebody above her. She claimed that there was nobody above her and that she was in charge of everything. We will not be going back to this place and I would Not recommend this place for anyone else. I will be contacting the dentist directly as she does have somebody above her.

Fantastic experience: Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Front desk staff was polite and attentive, and my hygienist was a fantastic. I believe I met Dr. Galvin during my appointment, and he was great. He took time to greet me and answer the questions that I had about my dental care, which I very much appreciated. Everything throughout my appointment was explained well and my cleaning was efficient and thorough. Very wonderful experience.

Negative experience: Sent me a bill showing I owed a balance but never received any bill prior or any showing my payment made. Told me they couldn’t send an itemized statement. Place is sketchy. And according to previous reviews they aren’t a very nice place of people. Also don’t bother sending a dismissal letter I won’t be back! Will also report to BBB. Also I just got the so called billing statement. They never did send an itemized bill but they filed my insurance on the amount after I made an initial payment not the entire amount. They obviously have no clue how to handle the business office. Then the comment they replied with they acted like a was stupid or something. I’m very familiar with insurance and filing and how all that works. They are scammers and try to seem like people are stupid.

Negative experience: I have been here for awhile but today was the final one for me, they talk inappropriately at cleanings amongst each other, the work they have done I have had to come back several times as it’s not done right, they have got the wrong tooth and didn’t even know which one they were suppose to be working on. They are very immature and rude. Do not recommend this place at all!

Fantastic experience: One of the better dental experiences I’ve had! I broke a tooth and was able to get in the same day. Dr. Truong was exceptional and I hardly felt much pain at all. Would definitely recommend to others who may be anxious and nervous of dental work like I am.

Fantastic experience: Hannah is amazing. She's so comforting and personable. We always have great conversation (as best as you can with your mouth wide open:) ). The office is clean and I never have to wait very long to be called back.

Negative experience: Horrible experience! Do not recommend!! Don’t know how to submit claims properly so you’re left fighting it out with your insurance companies over who’s paying what. Also placed a broken crown on my daughter’s tooth and was unable to remove it to replace it with one that wasn’t damaged before installed and they were unable to remove it. Also said because of that the last appointment would be on them because they messed up the crown and then tried to bill insurance for it. Highly unorganized and rude on top of it! Use at your own risk!!! Update : Since you’ve now replied in a threatening manner I will be reporting you to the BBB as well. You guys clearly have other complaints on Google as well about work done as well as the unprofessional front staff. I’m done being threatened by you via phone call and now here.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for years and I have to say they treat me like family. Very professional and just a great place to be. Mandy and Kelsey are amazing. The entire staff are friendly and always have a smile and willing to help with all of my questions. Highly recommend!!!

Negative experience: Would not recommend this place. Over charged on my husbands account Took at least 45 days to get it straightened out. Then they would not issue a check it had to on a credit card. My own experience was not pleasant. They were trying to tell me I had severe bone loss and needed periodontal work. Also told the doctor exam me and that was not true. She said I had some very deep fillings that should probably be crowned. Will definitely find a better place

Negative experience: Receptionist Michelle is extremely rude. When she called me she claimed she could not hear me. While I was setting the ear piece down I said "Jesus". I DID NOT curse at her or get mouthy with her just stated "Jesus". When I got on my phone she said " I will not put up with that language" and hung up. When I called back to ask for a manager, she was extremely rude and had an attitude. After that I called back to cancel my appointment for the next week as I will not go to a place with rude people and treat their clients so bad. Everybody else there is super nice, but she is extremely rude and has an attitude. I will make sure to tell everybody I know NOT to use this dentist!

Fantastic experience: I was in Iowa for a week and had a broken tooth in pain. The office got me in and they took out the tooth for me. The doctor was very gentle and did everything possible to midigate any pain or discomfort. I would definitely recommend western Iowa dental. Thank you for caring.

Positive experience: After this being my family's only preferred place of care for the longest time (simply put- this being due to our insurance company provider's coverage options....) This location began to no longer accept the dental coverages we carried at the time. <<>>This very unwelcomed dilemma caused many other patient's of care (those of which carried the same type of insurance coverages as us) quite the inconvenience as wells as to my family and I.... All of that unfortunately due to not many available options of **IN-NETWORKING DENTAL PROVIDERS** being offered were even around. Speaking to the fact of the available "IN-NETWORKING" Dental Provider's already established here in the area, there were literally NONE with open scheduling availability AND/OR NONE open to accepting NEW DENTAL PATIENT'S.

I called them and they got me right in an fixed it and in no pain after. I want to thank Dr. Galvin and his i staff. I have anxiety about being in pain after there done fixing my teeth. I'm a big baby when it comes to tooth pain. This is the first time i have not been in pain after i got a crown or even getting fillings done. You took your time and made sure i was ok. You guys are very nice and respectful and you actually care about your patients. So I'm glad I picked you guys to be my dentist.

Dr. Galvin took time to explain what was wrong with my teeth. The front office made my husband and myself feel welcome. They also were very help with getting us set up with our appointments for our next appointment for our fillings. Marie took extra time to set up side by side appointments in June for our check ups. Negative experience: Rude front desk staff. Even if you make an appointment months in advance you might get your appointment canceled or the dentist just might not be there and you need to reschedule. I found it ironic that I would wait between 15 and 30 min to get in every time but they have a sign on their desk saying if you're more than 10 minutes late your appointment is canceled. No respect for your time but God forbid, you waste theirs. Response to reply: I was kinda hoping you would respond. You said one would need to reply to a confirmation message... you send them out in automation so they are blocked by spam filters. For anyone reading this, I have never failed to show up to an appointment without canceling days prior. You failed to comment on your little 10 minute sign and how I've always had to wait well past my appointment time, but you didn't seem to care then. You also failed to comment on another person in my house getting their appointment canceled because the dentist wasn't there. I guess we are all supposed to understand and be forgiving when you inconvenience others because of your lack of planning. I would not be suprised to find out that the only positive reviews here are from their employees and their families.

Fantastic experience: The front desk gal who explains the insurance information and schedule appointments was amazing. I went in on the wrong day and the wrong month. And she squeeze me in the next day. The gal who took my x-rays, explained my needs for a deep clean. And the doctor was very friendly. Most dentist that I’ve been to have been very quiet and less than a few words. When I was leaving. The gal at the front desk had a cancellation and I needed a two hour Opening for my necessary dental needs. She got me in within a couple of days knowing that Mike insurance would be canceled because I was switching jobs. Five stars for sure in my book.

Fantastic experience: The lady who cleaned and examined my teeth was amazing. It is hard for me not to cough. Getting over bronchitis. She worked fast and was very understanding. Fantastic experience: I just had the best experience with Western Iowa Dental. I had fillings and was very nervous about my TMJ issues and making sure I would be numb enough for the procedure. I have had some pretty bad experiences in the past and Western Iowa Dental were very kind and worked great with me on needing breaks and making sure I was comfortable throughout the process. Fantastic experience: Not real sure what to think bout this place. They poked and prodded and pulled. My face is swollen something terrible, my gums feel horrible and I now have teeth missing. Hahahahahahaha But I will definitely be going back. Dr. Galvin is a good guy and his staff were super friendly and helpful. See y'all next month.

Negative experience: I've been going to this place for 7+ years, and never have I been treated so poorly as I was today. My phone screens potentially scam numbers, and when they called and asked for confirmation for an appointment that I've waited four months for. I was unable to confirm the appt when they call while I'm at work. I called first thing when I got the message. And had already been taken off schedule. Staff was rude. And will absolutely be going else where. My business card says to call 48hrs if I'm unable to to keep appt time. Not comfirm appt. I never cursed anyone out, was put on hold for an a long wait time only to be told my appt had been canceled. Thanks. Will do, I'll have my new practice get ahold of you for my files. My insurance is good, and have no problem spending my money elsewhere.

Negative experience: EVERY interaction with this office is beyond ugly. The people working the desk could find something they like to do. Their attitude just radiates through the building and even the phone. Nasty, snippy, uneducated and fail to make any attempt to assist. Customer service so rude I'm terrified of what the dentist would do touching my mouth.

Negative experience: A couple of years ago I was seen for a root canal.. when the Dr. Left the room, her nurse took pleasure in sticking things down my throat. When the root canal was over I freaked out and cried and the whole staff treaded me like I was just crazy. Now I have a fear of dentists.

Fantastic experience: Super friendly staff. More affordable than most places & told me exactly what was wrong. Since i pay out of pocket they were super helpful with showing the cost of everything before getting it done. Will definitely be back.

They give you the cost of work to be done up front witch is GREAT so there’s no surprises at the time of billing I find that comforting I would highly recommend them and will definitely go back

Fantastic experience: I am treated so well here. I’m not so embarrassed to smile. My teeth are so much better after their help with teaching me how to properly brush.
