Fantastic experience: I have been a patient here for years! they always remember me and my needs! i have had root canals, fillings, crowns and now an invisalign with the avery dental center! they are truly great people who never fail to put a smile on my face! they are helpful, wise and have wonderful bedside manner!

You will be cared for by a great team that delivers Outstanding service! From the receptionists to the treatment /billing coordinator to the dentists , the whole entire team is amazing. Positive friendly caring vibe is present! They will work WITH you. They caught several things my previous dentist missed, and as soon as they treated me, ALL my dental pain was gone. I have had fillings, crowns, and even a dental implant done perfectly by the people here. I will recommend this place and keep going back for cleanings, etc.

Negative experience: Beware. As soon as I filled out the form to book an appointment someone called me from their personal cell phone demanding I pay $25 up front just to book an appointment.

Fantastic experience: I just started going to Avery Dental today but i must say all the staff are very nice and helpful. And for any men that are self conscious about their teeth/ oral health, they dont judge you or try to pressure you into doing more work than necessary. Highly reccomend so far and will post an updated review after next visit or two. If you want to get care without being overcharged, make the appointment and keep it!!!

I went in for an initial exam before my Invisalign consult with Dr. Safavian, who was absolutely wonderful—knowledgeable, professional, and very pleasant to talk to. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made the whole process feel easy and comfortable. Angela at the front desk was amazing from the start—she got me scheduled within 24 hours of reaching out, provided all the price details up front, and was so kind and hospitable while I waited. You can tell she genuinely cares about patients and runs the front office smoothly. Selma, the dental hygienist, was also very pleasant and welcoming, which added to the overall great experience. Highly recommend this office for anyone considering Invisalign or looking for a professional, friendly dental team that truly values their patients.

Negative experience: I set up the free consultation for today at 4pm, I told them I work till 330 and won't be able to answer calls till then was told not to worry and if they needed anything they would call in the 30 minute time frame. I came in to being told "well you didn't answer our phone call" which was made during the time I specified I was going to be working. I show up to the receptionist telling me she canceled my free consultation and that I need to set up a appointment which is going to be 75$ not free like advertised for the consultation so I wasted my time and the entire time I was being really professional while the receptionist was being extremely condescending and trying to pass the blame on the issue onto me and not their own system.

Negative experience: Highly recommend that if you go here you get a second opinion before agreeing to any work. My wife and I went and were told that we had multiple cavities and needed a deep cleaning immediately or else we would have irreparable damage to our teeth. They had very poor bedside manner and did not clearly explain everything, but continually pressured us to agree to the work. After going to a second dentist we were told that while we did need some work it was not nearly as bad as what we had been told, and that the amount we would need to pay was a fraction of the price.

Fantastic experience: Very nice, clean, modern office. All the staff and Doctor was friendly and helpful. Even though they were running a few minutes behind, they were apologetic and kept me posted often on my status. As a new patient needing to get replacement dentures, they were able to explain their process clearly and I was even able to get my impressions done on my first visit.

Negative experience: They over charge you cash up front and then don’t put the insurance claim in for over two months. Had a cleaning 3 months ago and even after contacting them 3 times , still haven’t put the insurance claim in so that I can receive a refund for my cash payment. Also, asked for an orthodontist referral but they refused because they offer Invisalign at their practice.

Positive experience: I scheduled a cleaning an exam as a new patient back at the beginning of the month and filled out the paperwork online with my insurance info right after scheduling. Three weeks later, I go to my appointment. They only do x-rays and charge me half of the bill which should have been covered 100% because they are in network with my insurance company. They were listed in my insurance company's directory. They had over two weeks to figure out my plan, and failed to tell me that they were not going to do my cleaning. The staff were very friendly though and the dentist does know what he's doing. Update: I was able to work out the discrepancy with my coverage. The office staff was very diligent to investigate my contention. They were very gracious about it.

Before they started working at the next appointment an office worker came out to let me know my husband was doing good and that they were about to start working on him. Super friendly! Negative experience: I was seen yesterday, 2/19/24, at this office. I made an appointment, as I was behind on my cleanings and my regular dentist was scheduling out 4 months. I figured I would go to a local dentist and then schedule with my regular dentist for my next cleaning in six months. My first impression was not good as I waited for close to 30 minutes in their lobby and another patron, who arrived after me, was taken back by the hygienist, first. They then took an hour to do x-rays, measure my gums, and have the consult with the doctor who had extensive recommendations. It was then made known that I was not getting a cleaning. I questioned the doctor and was told that they could do 30 minutes of cleaning now but I would have to schedule the other 30 minutes for another date and that it would make more sense to schedule the full hour for another time. I made an appointment for later that day but had to leave and come back and take more time off of work which was not ideal. When I went back to the office I was told by the hygienist that I was indeed scheduled for a cleaning earlier that day but that the other hygienist had called off that day which put them in a bind. I had heard at my initial appointment that this person had called off but I was irate that I had been lied to by the doctor instead of him being honest. I was already concerned about the work that he recommended and was getting a 2nd opinion by my regular dentist the following day but this just confirmed that the doctor is not trustworthy. This office recommended almost $7000 worth of work and I was going to be required to pay for $4000 OOP as insurance did not even cover all of the work they were recommending. I went to my regular dentist, today, who is more conservative, and he only recommended work that will cost me $123 OOP. STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE. They also charged me for my x-rays, which the other office found absurd and I had a hell of a time getting the office to send me the x-rays after I requested them multiple times, filled out their paperwork, and paid their $25 fee. I will never go back to this office, ever again, and I will be putting the word out there that they are not honest, reliable, dependable, trustworthy people.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Safa and Selma his wife for my dental work for a while now. Awesome staff and service. He is very honest as a dentist. I got my Invisalign done, Tongue surgery done, filling done, and deep cleaning done. All these procedures were pain less and relaxing. They are LGBT friendly.

Fantastic experience: Big fan of this dental practice. Dr. Safavian helped me figure out I had severe sleep apnea based on my teeth grinding and gum recession, and I've been able to address it since. Fantastic experience: My wife was in excruciating pain from a cracked molar on a Friday night! I was so stressed feeling helpless, so i decided to look online for a 24 hour dentist, I found Avery Dental and called and were so nice and talked me through what to do to help my wife, they got her in Saturday morning to drain the infection. After that they scheduled her for a root canal on Monday when they were booked solid! I could not believe how amazing the staff and Doctor were to us! I would 100% recommend this office 100 times over! Thank you so much Avery Dental for helping my wife when she was in so much pain!

Negative experience: This dentist is the worst I have ever experienced. The only good thing is that the front desk is very friendly. 1. They only care about money, not helping patients. I was going to have regular cleaning, but they requested me to do an X-Ray even though I could provide them with my previous exam record. 2. The nurse is very unprofessional. When she took an X-ray for me, her operations hurt my gum. I told her that I was hurt, but she just ignored me and insisted on her process. This was the first time my gum hurt during a dental exam. I just need regular cleaning, but they keep persuading me to buy something out of insurance coverage. And she used words that stressed me out (e.g., you might lose your teeth if you don't do this.) I don’t want to go there any longer.

Negative experience: I never post reviews, but I’m am not happy with my experience at all. Staff made comments about my weight (stating I’m a “big girl” and needed a higher dosage on medication to make sure it worked. I feel like it could have been worded a little nicer, at least). We applied for the care credit, and I was charged for two root canals when I only had one. My temp cap came off and I came back to get it put back on three days later until the permanent one came. The dental assistant shaved it down and stuck it right back in my mouth without washing it (after another staff member thought something was on fire from it being shaved). I voiced my concerns and was ignored and got out to my car and threw up because of the taste/smell. I then get sent a bill for $1,000 for my insurance “not covering” the rest. Still never got any sort of refund or credit for being charged for two root canals. We were told it would be $2,500 and that’s what the care credit paid for, yet still we’re charged an additional $1,000? They charged me a cancellation fee when I canceled my appointment for having COVID and properly notified them of such. I keep getting texts at 10pm stating to pay my bill. Just got another moments ago saying it’s going to collections (it’s 10:12pm). Only good thing to say is the front desk receptionist are extremely nice. Otherwise, I will absolutely not be going back nor recommending this dentistry to anyone I know.

Negative experience: STAY AWAY. this place tried to charge 650 dollars for a single tooth extraction. They also "lost" our down payment for services for over a week. There are like 40 different people in billing and customer service. The bad reviews are true. Do not trust these people. The dental assistant at the practice we decided to go to after these crooks were aware of the shady practices and shoddy work at Avery Dental. STAY AWAY

Fantastic experience: Given all of my medical troubles, this group has been outstanding. Thank goodness for people who know how to work as a team. The dentist is sharp, tech savvy, and willing to work with the patient based on needs: I had so many needs that I thought he would run away on the first appointment, yet he did not. Dr. Safavian was upbeat and shared ideas right away. When he found out my medical concerns, he encouraged me. What more can a patient want? I cannot comment to one or two experiences when they're busy: they have been diligent, attentive to me at my appointments. I am certain that that is their intent always. Suffice to say that I am aware that they are in business and had no expectation that their interest in cost or payments indicated any lack of interest in my well-being. I will stay with this dental group.

Fantastic experience: I called for a dental impression for a night guard and a replacement for my lost invisalign retainers. I was put on the schedule immediately and they provided excellent service! I highly recommend!

Negative experience: Sales, Sales, Sales. They tried to sell me their deep cleaning package for $400.00. They never recommended the insurance-paid cleaning. When I asked for a regular cleaning paid by the insurance company, they asked me to sign a refusal form. Everything is about sales. If you refuse to accept the extra services they push, they will make you feel guilty as heck.

Fantastic experience: (05‐2022l I found Avery Dental and Dr Safa in the fall of 2020 when an old filling broke and it left me with a razor sharp, shark level tooth. Topping off the tooth breaking, it happened on a Saturday. I called and THEY ANSWERED! I was in their office on Wednesday. The approach was for whole-mouth health, though they do let you do just the fix if desired. I have always had a great experience here. Staff is friendly, Docs are on top of it, they multi-task like I've never seen, and I can be my goofy self because they are so genuine! If my post-filling bite feels wrong, I'm able to get in quickly to get a fix. If I have a concern, it's always analyzed. When I asked for nitrous for a root canal (first time, ever, for me), I felt embarrassed! Dr Safa immediately said that's a great idea. I agreed to the fees and it was worth it for nearly 2 hours of work to feel like 20 mins. I don't have enough praise and kind words for this place - I hope to be able to continue coming here for any future visits!

Negative experience: Updating my review. DO NOT use this dental practice. if you are doing a filling especially for those whom has sensitive teeth, DO NOT go there. I had 3 teeth fillings there a week before thanksgiving all done at the same time, ended up not being able to eat any food that requires chewing through thanksgiving. I had to go back at least 3 times to get it fixed, still I could barely chew any food. I gave up after 3 times and went with a dentist in downtown recommended by friends. DO NOT do the teeth whitening there as the staff there had no idea what they were doing. Also this dental office does pressure sales during your consultation, kinda like Times Share sort of sales. They will let you know the procedures u need, and if you pay right then it will be this amount, but if u dont, then it will be a different price. When I had my fillings done there, there was only one dentist whom I believe is the owner that were seeing all the clients at the same time, running from rooms to rooms. I strongly do NOT recommend anyone to use this dental practice. But I highly recommend Angela Gum dental office in downtown, very professional team and the parking is super convenient. They will give you voucher for your parking. It’s very difficult to find a good dentist nowadays, that is why I came back to update my review and provide the info of my current dentist who I trust and being with for years now.

Negative experience: I have never reviewed a business before, but I feel that people need to be aware of the inexcusable treatment my husband received today at Avery Dental. Having been diagnosed with cancer just a few weeks ago, it was suggested he get a dental exam to make sure he doesn’t have any type of infection in his mouth. His hygienist was pleasant and efficient, however Dr Safa made a very rude and demeaning comment, stating that my husband should have “used better preventive maintenance to avoid cancer, the same way he does for his teeth!” What a horrible thing to say to someone. As if he had some choice in the matter. In all of our interactions with my husband’s medical team, he has never had someone say such a thing! This visit also lasted over two hours (not easy when you are feeling sick) and included several HIPPA non-compliant questions by staff about his diagnosis, as well as a high pressure sales pitch to get dental work done right away. He had already told them he would not be able to start any work for several months and he he was simply there for a screening before he starts chemotherapy and radiation next week. The entire experience was very troubling and caused undo stress for us at a time when compassion and understanding would have gone a long way. Needless to say, we will not be returning and I would caution anyone to think twice before visiting to this practice.

Fantastic experience: I live in Dayton and had an impacted molar. To my surprise, nobody in the area could take me in less than three days, wether I had insurance or not! So I started to call one dental office after another, further and further away, until I got Avery Dental in Columbus. I Explained my problem and the recepsionist conferred with the doctor for a bit and they squeezed me in! I was more than happy to drive an hour to get rid of this tooth! Dr. Safavian was happy to help. The staff was excellent and dealt with every possibile hope of paying for an alternative action. In the end we pulled it, everything was done profesionally and with great concern for my well-being. Thank you to Dr. Safavian and the staff! Matt Johnson

Fantastic experience: I cleaned my teeth in Avery Dental Center, and they have also done some different work on my husband's teeth before. Excellent work and very kind behavior! We thoroughly recommend them!

Negative experience: Ok service but extremely bad accounting experience. I settled my account to zero every year but every time I showed up, they happened to have a charge waiting for me. Last time this happened they had sent me a 0 balance statement as well, but mysteriously a new charge appeared a year later. Pathetic experience especially with their accounting. I would take my business elsewhere and would recommend everyone to look somewhere else.

Positive experience: Here to help my cousin she's having a procedure that entails someone to pick her up. I'm hoping they took good care of her. I'll see her soon!!

Fantastic experience: On Monday, August 30th,2021, @about 2:30pm, I went in to Avery Dental for appointment. The Front desk was very welcoming and assisted with check in. Salma set up convenient schedule. Sarah helped me get prepared for Dentist to do filling and afterwards Sarah found me a schedule that worked for Avery and me on my next appointment. Avery teams are all about customer service, quality work and strictly business with very distinguished professionalism across a wide array of diversity. I would never hesitate to contact them with any dental issue; and— for this reason, I recommend them to you.

Negative experience: Though the staff was nice, the service was awful. I came as a new patient. Made it clear from the start that I was there to get my teeth cleaned. 2 hours later they told me I would have to reschedule due to it was their lunch time.
